celtic are playing in a legue no one cares about. as there can be only one winner. and no competition there will only be one winner of the third division, too, but the interest is there due to the unprecedented (in the world) of shafting of a massive club, a major world brand by underlings , small minded petty ,to see if we can rise from the ashes , and the records we will set in doing so. the spl is dead. and craig leveins team, are dead in the water, that is the state of scottish football. rangers and our fightback iis the only shining light, in a country that has now become a footballing back water due to the above

Get a life.....remember if Scottish football top flight dies ..there is nothing for you to aspire to ......

Agree41 Disagree28

Had to laugh at that there. Scotish footballs dead except for rangers lol. Old club over spent for years leading to financial collapse. Nobody in Scotland's fault except the clubs that the rangers find themselves in this position.

Agree45 Disagree22

Well blame murray + white.

world brand? nobody would touch rangers for years then we had to be sold for one pound. great club dfinitely but get over the idea of being a victim and your paranoia. leave that to others with a bigger track record on that.

Agree31 Disagree15

And until this season what did the mighty rangers do over last few seasons to aid us from bein a backwater footballing country. Deluded mate. As for still claiming the "woe is us" victims, the power brokers bent all rules to allow ure admittance to the professional ranks. When is it going to sink in? Maybe an axe to head with an envelope slipped in!!

Agree27 Disagree11

I am not smallminded nor petty but look at the mess RFC got themselves into think about the people owed money through no fault of their own every fan in scotland should vote with their feet till we get one body in charge sort out our game for true fans NO BIGOTS ALLOWED

Agree16 Disagree11

Exactly the attitude that will have the rest of us p1ssin ourselves when sevco go into admin , just like oldco .. shamrock

Agree34 Disagree13

Oh dear, where to start.Shafting of a massive club? All your previous owners fault im afraid.Underlings? I thought you were gonna make friends and enjoy the journey? Now they are underlings? Footballing backwater due to The rangers entering admin and now liquidation you mean.Where else should you have gone? They even bent the rules to make sure you would have at least league status.Shining light? Celtic in the CL,doing okay(could change on tuesday!) but undefeated in Eight european matches(including last seasons Europa) but gaining co-efficient points non the less. Rise from the ashes? Of course you will, that was never in doubt. While you are creating all these records, you are the only team in the world who has not won away in the league in your history! James D.

Agree28 Disagree7

To 4.] We kept most of the premier league teams out of the grubber. Let us see what happens to them this year. As for the sfa, they have been the orchestrator of the demise. Yes, murray and whyte have 'pulled the wool' and we have suffered, but at the end of the day there will be a hell of a lot better-off clubs in the SFL because of our presence.

Agree8 Disagree26

#op...in what way has your club been shafted as you put it? I'd agree wots happened to gers must feel terrible in the minds of decent supporters but the op implies they have been unfairly treated after doing nothing wrong. Ordinary supporters have done no wrong but the custodians of club have; so the company were liquidated and a new company formed applying primarily for SPL status then after being declined were accepted into the SFL. Now we have posts like this inferring all of Scottish football being dead in the water..get over yourself mate its that attitude that is alienating decent gers fans and festering an ill conceieved groundswell of opinion across the rest of Scottish football supporters that perhaps the country might be better off without a club drowning in its own deep rooted bigoted culture! MB

Agree30 Disagree3

OP, only shining light, yer having a laugh, there's a beacon shining for Scotland in the CL, deluded, you think the football world revolves round the rangers, a new club by months and heading to god knows what in the next few months.

Take a chill pill m8, I feel sorry for the real fans of the new rangers, not the self centred bigoted kind

Vambo

Agree25 Disagree7

OP , Your ignorance and arrogance beggars belief , nobody cares about your Newco playing in Scotlands bottom tier, the only reason Celtic fans are on here is for the comedy value. If you care to remove your Newco blinkers you will find theres a certain Scottish club preparing to play against the best team in the world in the biggest club competition in the world while sitting 2nd in the table, not bad for a club playing it's football in a footballing back water.....Stevie

Agree21 Disagree6

Rangers playing in a league few care about, and where there will be only one winner.

7th highest attendance across europe for a football game - but so what - lowest cost tickets, least professional game (one team was amateurs)... and what profit did rangers make from this gate... zip!

Agree23 Disagree5

So no6,

You will be laughing when people will be out of jobs, companies owed money and you will laugh. What a sad pathetic little person you are.

Agree13 Disagree14

Can anyone confirm that these so called record breaking attendances have been inflated with free ticket give aways? If true it kinda dilutes the claims from messers Green, McCoist, etc..any thoughts

Agree23 Disagree8

We kept spl clubs out the gutter ? lol pitty you didnt keep your own club out the gutter or it would still exist

Agree21 Disagree2

@13 Pot and kettle come to mind with this post, your having a laugh ain't you. Your taking the moral high ground, after what your soon to be liquidated old team were guilty of.Away and look in the mirror you two faced little person.
Tam

Agree17 Disagree3

Think we need to get away from this idea that we were shafted by the other SPL clubs. 2 men royally shafted us and they were Murray & Whyte. Yes I think we should have been helped a bit more by the sfa & SPL however the real enemy came from within. Yes there is a great deal of bad feeling with the other SPL clubs but at the end of the day everyone needs to move forward if the game is going to progress. We may not like the other sides in the SPL but we need to get back there and work with them to try and bring the game back

Agree17 Disagree1

Is it any wonder we are a complete laughing stock in this country when the OP posts something as daft as this. Please ge real.

Agree21 Disagree1

I'm a rangers who thinks the OP is talking rubbish, we never complained when we won 9 in a row, most years it was a 1 team league, Celtic were in it but never had a chance of winning it, you embarrassing rangers fans with these bitter posts, you would much rather we were in Celtics position than ours.

Agree18 Disagree2

You know why they have promotion in div 3 ? Because everybody wants out of it. Rangers were screwed by the owners. What followed was due process despite attempts to circumvent the rules. The spl is almost a third through and its never been tighter. Slowly the other clubs are realising they could be in Europe. We've heard it all from people like you. Half the spl bust by christmas etc. But it just isnt panning out is it ? That was queens park yesterday. They are paid nothing.

Agree14 Disagree1

'major world brand' not in this world. Maybe on whatever planet you inhabit. Green just bought the whole shebang for 5 mill. And he's trying to get 20 for it. Yep right up there with coca cola.

Agree14 Disagree1

Utter garbage OP. The only history you will be setting this year is in a Horrible Histories special. I can see it now:

Scything Souness
Mischievous Murray's
Wheeler-Dealer Whyte's
Abysmal Ally's
Signing policy Shames.

Gaz

Agree12 Disagree3

Post 19. A bit of honesty. Well, done that Bear. We could all do with being less dramatic and entrenched. Lets get rid of the clowns , bigots and get you back in the spl or whatever they rename it... And let's get back to enjoying football, my boys 2 and I want to take him to a old firm game , we live in China- it was / is part of our heritage- and for all its faults that we can work on , I don't want to lose it. hH

Agree9 Disagree2

Actually after retreading the OP it's got to be a windup , some devils advocate pushing all our buttons , nobodies that delusional.

Agree10 Disagree1

The old Rangers had a good chance of trading out of the FTT tax debt 3-4years ago when Rangers were informed of the investigation but would of meant they would not be in a position to compete with Celtic. The bill then was only around 24 million Rangers could of come to an agreement to pay over a number of years very easily instead Murray and Water Smith spent heavily in the transfer market and the rest they say is history. Craig Whyte had a plan but needed European football for it to succeed, he is a shyster but might of been able to pull it off. So if your looking for someone to blame for What's happened take of the blinkers and look at Murray and smith

Agree11 Disagree0

To 13 .. i've lost count of the posts on here about how you will all laugh when the spl clubs go bust , and people lose their jobs .. so it just works one way does it.. shamrock

Agree11 Disagree3

@26

My point my opinion. What others say is up to them. Stop stereotyping every single fan. You probably have lost count etc, don t tar everyone with the same brush though.

Agree3 Disagree6

@27: but by your reckoning, all those who posted that are sad, pathetic little people too - that's what #26 was getting at.

Agree5 Disagree2

Poster @ 13 + 27 . so what you are telling everybody is this.. if celtic were to go bust { and jobs were lost } you wouldn't have a wee chuckle .. i wouldn't laugh at job losses as you wouldn't just at a rivals misfortune. you are a hypocrite.. shamrock

Agree2 Disagree2

@29

You are a clown. I posted my opinion about your comment. Your reply was to call me a hypocrite- you just used your prejudice and look on every gers fan as being the same. It was quite simple, my opinion against your comment. You showed your ignorance in your reply. Remember to treat everyone as individuals. For your information, I could not care less about anything to do with celtic, you choose whether you want to believe it or not. They-celtic fc- do not interest me in the slightest, thats why I only post comments about my club on my club page.xx

craig whyte has at last said something sensable. he is right, what other league or country in the world no matter what would have put its biggest club in the bottom tier, thereby destroying the spl and international team, as we have seen. this year is a freebie. it.l be next year the full financial and other implications of what they did to rangers. as clubs fold. and people have gone without the old firm game (subject to cups). for not months, but years. i see rangers getting stronger, as the rest of scottish football falls like a house of cards

Believable15 Unbelievable29

Teams put themselves in trouble trying to keep up with a club who ran up 10s of millions in debt. But yet you thin rangers will be the only club to thrive. You can't just do what you like and expect to get away with it because your a big club. The rest of scottish football will be fine youth is the future

Agree17 Disagree8

Must have won a game then! Whatever makes u happy.

Agree17 Disagree5

Can you give evidence of rangers getting stronger OP.I'd love to see it.By the way for the umpteenth time rangers brought it all on themselves. No one else.

Agree19 Disagree4

What a complete load of nonsense.Nobody but your owners was to blame for your third division "adventure".It was a consequence of bad stewardship.Destroy the international team?how? The rangers players are still available for selection. Clubs folding? No sign of it so far.Get over it and enjoy your journey like you all said. James D

Agree17 Disagree3

OP FFS make up your mind was it not Rangers supporter's who said " we want to start at the bottom " or was that just another lie from a long line of lie's. WAKE UP man, it was your own PEOPLE that put you were you are.
Tam

Agree12 Disagree1

That was where craigie boys wee plan got scuppered. He thought they would be allowed to just continue in the spl like nothing had happened. He counted on that and boof! up it went. Bankrupt and all that entails. Thats why he brought that up. You have to start looking at reality sometime. It was the bankruptcy that led to everything else.

Agree9 Disagree1

Ahhh he slags the league and it's worth listening to, he slags the ex board and he's a lying person, weird that eh?

in the papers. another new world record for 4th tier attendances again. so much for the timbos saying it wasnt the last time. i think i would believe qualified journalists, above mud rakers. lets face it no one is interested in the spl this season or the next, its a defunct and dead league. whereas our league we are setting records, and piling in money to the bottom tier, thereby promoting scottish football. whilst without us the spl and national team die a slow agonizing death

Believable17 Unbelievable22

The best way to convince a fool he is wrong is to let him get on with it

Agree19 Disagree8

Why don't you believe qualified journalists when they write something negative about your club. Hear what you want to hear seems to be the rangers fans way.

Agree20 Disagree5

What about a world record for the most dellusioned people in the one place.

Agree16 Disagree5

Laughable. So you believe the reporters when it suits you? The arrogance of some fans of The rangers is truly breathtaking. James D

Agree15 Disagree3

I don't understand why we Get so excited about attendances. Of course we will get the world record, we are the only tea with a big enough stadium to do this. Last season our own fans stayed away in droves. Some games there were only around 25,000. Maybe if we had of stuck by the team then and payed our money we would not be in such a bad state. We cannot go on saying how big the attendances were when last year, and the year before, the were awful.

Agree15 Disagree4

I heard Primark had more customers on Saturday than Harrods but guess who had the biggest turnover Its a no brainer

Agree12 Disagree1

To the OP. The world record for a 4th tier football match is 50,897 who showed up two years ago in Brazil for a match between Santa Cruz and Guarany de Sobral in a Serie D match. You dont have a world record mate.

Keep clutching at straws!!LOL!

Agree13 Disagree3

So OP, why is it the that when I tune into Sportsound on Radio Scotland 99% of the discussion is about the SPL?
Al

Agree15 Disagree2

How many paying customers anyway ? What a plonker. Nobody would boast about being in the bottom league. Its always 'the world' innit ? What were the gate receipts ? And how much is left after paying 2 weeks costs ? Ally gets 20k per week. 1 home game every 2 weeks, thats 40k just to cover his wages or 80p out of every ticket 'sold'. Thats just the managers salary. How much is a ticket ?

Agree11 Disagree0

I knew some nugget would bring it up. Rangers tv, I'll say it again, RANGERS TV, during yesterday's game described it as a EUROPEAN record.

Or wait does Rangers tv has an anti-Rangers bias agenda too? Man who can you trust these days when your own tv channel doesn't tow the idiot line?

Gaz

Agree9 Disagree1

World records lol I have news for you my friend Scotland (which I love) is a backwater and about 90% of the world, outside of Europe, still thinks we are part of England. Celtic and Rangers have done well and will do and we should,be proud enough with that. They will never again win a European cup - it's a loaded game and we can't compete. Accept it. Unless there huge structural changes in uefa/FIFA and all the other old boys clubs raking it in there no real competition with 100's of millions of pounds of philanthropic backing. I for one am sick of the rat race. I be happier watching Celtic and rangers the way it would have been in our Da's days - all local players happy to play for the badge. Rant over HH j

Agree5 Disagree1

Good rant though. Champions League - should that not mean that the champions from each country are automatic starters? No, it's all about money and power so they create a points system and a co-efficient. Which, I truly believe is good for entering other teams AFTER the automatic country keague champions are entered. The others make up the rest.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gaz you really must be a rangers fan! how would you know what rangers tv said? unless your watching it plus on ere all the time. why such an interest in a brand new football team as you say playing in the third division??...mark.

Agree0 Disagree5

Mark @ 13.Not a gers fan but I watched on rangers TV on saturday. Why,to see how the mighty rangers faired against a team of part time amateures.Pure comedy gold it was too,and listening to the inane commentary was even funnier. Both commentators calling for fouls each time a gers player lost the ball in a tackle and the amount of times they called for a non existant penalty. You enjoy it Gaz.

Agree3 Disagree0

That sounds like a laugh. It could become cult viewing. I said cult.

There's too much toxic criticism on this site. Many of the players are youngsters in their teens or very early twenties. Where's the pressure on the Queens Park players ? Nowhere. The young Rangers ? Massive. Criticism isn't helping anyone unless you come up with solutions or better ideas but all too often none are given and it's just the same old negative angry stuff.

" We are where we are. " In the cold light of day and unbelievable as it is it'll take time and we sit top of the league with some real promising talent coming through. Maybe an idea that before you vent your anger on this page, you have a cold beer or go for a brisk walk and calm things down a bit. Things will come right. The support yesterday ...... it's big news all over the world. We're a big club and put big pressure on our players. We're in transition and need more positive input.

Believable20 Unbelievable26

Um. Celtics team is younger. go look.

Agree27 Disagree12

Good to see a sensible post from a real rangers supporter give us 2 years and by then we will know what youngsters we can depend on start to get shot of the dead wood sign a bit better standard of players and keep progressing. job is to get out of this division and as far as i can see we r doing just fine might not be great but u have to earn greatness in a blue jersey

Agree11 Disagree16

Yes big news all over the world indeed.
They speak of little else in Ulan Bator.
I hear too that from Morocco to Somalia The Rangers are the talk of the Casbahs.
Rumoured that Brazilian TV want to do a documentary on the " Murray Park Method".

Agree25 Disagree5

OP When are going to stop going on about 'young players'.Every team you have played have young players and not payed the same as gers. You once were a big team but now you're a div 3 team in Scotland.

Agree20 Disagree7

That post is flawed right up front.
The whole strategy of risking results on 'young boys' is flawed. We should not be developing youths or discussing cutting them slack or making excuses for them. We should have a policy of employing seasoned proven men who deliver success in SFL football. We should be 10 points ahead and the wages would be 50% less.

Agree15 Disagree7

At 3) might not be big news in ulan bator but you lot are certainly obsessed with us.

Agree6 Disagree13

"It's big news all over the world" . Just checked CNN , Fox News , BBC world service , Al Jazeera . Must have just missed it .........DH

Agree16 Disagree8

What have celtic got to do with anything the op commented on? NO-ONE cares about celtic on this page- unless you are a tic fan.

op,

Good thing is it is young Scottish players getting a chance, something like 8 Scots started yesterday. We need to have some balance, and although I am not too impressed with the foreign players brought in, we will get there eventually. As long as the club is promoted at the end of the season, all that matters. Still don t think we will get any bonuses for winning by loads or winning league by 20 to 30 points.

Agree10 Disagree2

Celtic are playing in a legue no one cares about. as there can be only one winner. and no competition there will only be one winner of the third division, too, but the interest is there due to the unprecedented (in the world) of shafting of a massive club, a major world brand by underlings , small minded petty ,to see if we can rise from the ashes , and the records we will set in doing so. the spl is dead. and craig leveins team, are dead in the water, that is the state of scottish football. rangers and our fightback iis the only shining light, in a country that has now become a footballing back water due to the above

Agree3 Disagree23

No 6. I wonder who you mean by 'your lot'. I bet you think I a Celtic fan. Wrong, I'm a Thistle supporter. You seem to be osessedwiththe idea that all critics are Celtic fans - theyre not. Most of Scottish football doesnt like you - but you dont care of course.

Agree18 Disagree4

Number 10, get over it. Hatred is an ugly trait. Try to rise above it, one day you will work out that we are all the same, but if it makes you feel better to HATE, so be it. I have faith that you will one day get over it.

Agree4 Disagree10

@11: where's the hatred in the post? Please tell us all. Or do you see hatred everywhere? If so, you need to have a wee rethink about what it means.

Agree12 Disagree2

No 10 here - where did I mention 'hate' or 'hatred'. I dislike The Rangers FC and the team whose share they purchased. I dont hate their fans.
I have noticed however that many posts from the fans of The Rangers and Rangers ( in administration ) do have a bellicose air about them
I reacall one poster asking 'right bears, who are our natural enemies in division 3' ? What on earth did he mean by 'natural enemies' ?

Agree11 Disagree0

"I dislike The Rangers FC and the team whose shares they purchased"

If that is your honest opinion then fair enough about 'The Rangers FC', as you call it (there was a lot that went on that most Rangers fans also disliked, myself included). However, if we are a brand new club, as your post suggests, how can you then say you dislike the team that bought their share? Did you automatically dislike Livingston when they first started up just because they were a new team or would you have an equal dislike if ANY other team in Scotland suddenly folded at the same time and 'bought' the share instead of Rangers? I think we know the answer to that and that is my issue with it.

The problem with most non-Rangers fans on here, for me, is that they harp on and on about it being a new club yet give it plenty as if this 'new club' of ours was somehow accountable forever more for the woes of the old one you keep saying doesn't exist any more and we have no historical connection to. We just happen to play in the same stadium and wear the same strip as the team we bought the share from. Chill mate, you will have plenty time to grow to dislike us when we meet up in a few years time. By your reckoning we have never met competitively so can't see how you dislike us so much already.

Brian

p.s. I actually quite like the Jags tbh, I've been a few times in the past with my brother in law. I did take an instant dislike to their fans though, although I couldn't tell you why.
;-)

p.p.s. Gaz, Tam - the heads fine now (believe it or not, after joking about negotiating them in the condition I was in, I actually tripped on the fourth or fifth step up and clattered back down the stairs, lol - the mrs was not happy!) cheers for asking and for the comments.

Agree1 Disagree2

You called it right jags fan. Its pathological. The club that considered itself the establishment club screwed up so badly that they were beyond the help they thought they were entitled to. Now they pour scorn and hatred on the rest of us even as they self destruct again. What we have here is institutional stupidity.

Agree10 Disagree4

@15 where is the hatred then from rangers fans?...mark.

Agree0 Disagree5

@16: hatred of the SPL, of anyone who says anything they disagree with, of those who called it right all along...

Ali should be making the changes at Murray Park now, bringing in a complete new team and set up, yes we can't sign players but we can attract coaches and shake up the youth system for the future lets get it done NOW and that way Super Ali shows all fans at least he is not just looking at the first 11 he is planning for the future. It is badly needed, bye the way agree yesterday was a disgrace, I unusually sat in my seat and said nothing they were all out of position and woeful but hey ho we will stick by and get through this as its nothing to what went on this summer now that was awful WATP

Believable6 Unbelievable14

21 Oct 2012 10:29:23
Bears Charles Green will never sack Ali it would be commercial suicide. however wait until after the share issue then see the pressure that will be heaped on him from inside Ibrox, lets hope Super Ali can turn it around just like another famous Ranger Fergie

Believable6 Unbelievable11

Would that be THE Fergie ? The one who said he was driven out of Ibrox by bigotry ?

Was he not 'driven out' because he was not a particularly great player.

we as fans really showed everyone today with our attendance but the players certainly didnt a few players recently have came out and sayed they owe the fans and mccoist a result well today was aload of rubish if that is what they class a good result they need have a long hard look at them self do the talking on the pitch not in the press sick of hearing them in the press recently just get on the pitch and perform then u would have earned ure rite to talk right now everyone should unite and start performing not in the press talking aload of rubish simple get the job done in style

Believable18 Unbelievable6

At last someone picking on the players and not the manager. Yes he did sign the freebies who have been below par. But according to most signing black was a masterstroke. He has been poor. Can't even make a simple pass. And signing temps was seen as a coup. Time will tell. Bad luck him getting injured. But no manager can take blame when a pro player can't make a pass or even cross the ball. This is a minimum requirement of a pro player. Ally can take blame perhaps for not preparing the players. But once they cross the whiteine only so much he can do.
