I'd be very happy if Pardew got the job - ok he's got "issues" but I think he could do a good job stabilising the team and building a future based team. It's been a while since I posted after my gaffe but in my defence I'd just woken up after a really bad night shift.

21 Nov 2017 18:46:58
A guy posted on the rumours page he heard a gaffer won't be appointed until after the agm bcos the board have two lists one list for managers that we can bankroll if we get res11 through ie share issue investment and another list if it doesn't go through. make your own mind up on that. I don't know nothing that's going on at ibrox so I can't really add anything to that rumour

21 Nov 2017 20:03:37
When is AGM Dellboy

21 Nov 2017 20:45:59
30th November

21 Nov 2017 17:43:17
Alright Bears. So we know that Del has came out and said that he has had no contact from Rangers, BUT would I be right in saying that we wouldn't be allowed to talk to him until we had permission from his Club yeah? I'm sure McInnes would know if this is what's going on around him but HE IS telling the media that yeah he's had no direct contact! I do think that he is top of the list and the Club may be trying to negotiate some sort of Compensation Deal with the Sheep! Be it the amount or the whether the Fee is paid all at once or staggered? Not 100% sure but I do not think that the Fee is in the form of an Release Clause (Minimum) . Again I'm not sure about it so if anyone does know pre tell, heard that the amount is £800k tho!
So Bears who else thinks or even hopes that this is the case AND please let me know if the actual thought that this could be the case has any legs! COULD we be in talks with the Club before we even get to talk tcInnes

21 Nov 2017 18:44:01
I friend of mine who is an Aberdeen fan has stated that Rangers have made an unofficial contact with Aberdeen and that McInnes is not happy about being the only candidate and that his assistant has no interest in coming to us his source is Duncan Skinner

21 Nov 2017 18:48:23
I don't think we have approached mcinnes at all but I might be wrong

21 Nov 2017 19:04:23
why would McInnes be annoyed at being the only candidate? Not a dig, genuinely confused and curious. Surely he would be happy at that as makes the job easier to get?

21 Nov 2017 19:22:04
i think g4rry means that we've offered mcinnes the manager role but have told him his assistant docherty can't come with

21 Nov 2017 19:27:25
This is wishful thinking g4rry, Stewart Milne says no contact has been made and I have no reason to doubt it. If we had made an approach be it official or unofficial then then it would have been leaked to the gutter press by one side or the other so as to build pressure in the situation.

I have no doubt however that McInnes would not be happy about not being the only candidate as he strikes me as an arrogant type (god knows why) .

I presume this is what you meant as opposed to being annoyed about being the only candidate?

21 Nov 2017 20:43:43
Sorry mistyped McInnes is not happy that the board want options and he isn’t the only one there interested in as for Tony Doc he apparently won’t go to Rangers not that Rangers don’t want him so I’ve been told not sure if I believe it or not myself, according to this guy this will be the 4th time he’s knocked us back which is why I’d rather we looked elsewhere

21 Nov 2017 21:26:05
cheers for clarifying mate 👍

21 Nov 2017 22:36:43
g4rry. . so McInnes has knocked back Rangers 4 times? This guy you talk of is talking complete crap. He has never knocked Rangers back even once because he hasn't ever been offered the job. yet. If offered the job he will take it. guaranteed

22 Nov 2017 17:10:47
Dutch, G4rry mean Docherty had turned us down before not Mcinnes 👍🏻

21 Nov 2017 17:38:35
Our hope is McInnes, We have an average bunch of players at best and I include the likes of Miller, Hodson, Pena, Herrera, Windass out of position, Bruno not being played and yet Portuguese international quality. I could coach and select better. Hang on a second. we all could! Let's all submit our CVs. Anyone could do a better job on this forum. A complete joke and disgrace of management and who's buying it?

21 Nov 2017 18:16:05
If our Finances are that tight then come Jan I think that bringing Moult to Ibrox is top priority!
And seeing as he is in the last 6 months of his Contract and we could sign him on a Pre-Contract and The Well would receive nothing! I would like to know just HOW MUCH! we would have to offer to get him here? Motherwell wanted £500k last Summer, so would they part with him for something between 2-300k OR would they think keeping him would secure them a better financial Lge
position that would outweigh such an offer?
Also think we can only bring in one more Loan as we currently have 3 and to my knowledge a Club can only bring in 4 Loans in a Season? (could be wrong) So Bears how much do you reckon to bring Moult?

21 Nov 2017 18:50:52
Guess what Andy we might not be able to get moult now. maybe an English club will now come after him or even bloody Celtic might buy him now bcos they know we want him

21 Nov 2017 18:54:41
I wanted him in the summer but it wasn’t to be but I fear we won’t get him now a lot of Championship clubs will be watching him and they can pay a lot more than us and also the state we are in right now I doubt many good players want to sign for us over the next four to five years I fear Celtic will stay out in front and the pressure on the club will only get greater unless of course we can find a large investment from some rich supporters then that may be a game changer but is that to much to hope for

21 Nov 2017 19:05:48
Sign him on pre contract! Gives us time to off load some others before he comes into squad

21 Nov 2017 19:23:31
aye would be nice to get moult on board, boy can finish

21 Nov 2017 19:47:37
Aye we could have got him in the summer but the chance of getting him now have reduced massively i'd guess

22 Nov 2017 10:26:46
Yeah agree with nearly most of everything that's been posted above! But on paper we're still well in the hunt for 2nd, need to obviously step our game up!
But how much do you think it will take, IF were lucky enough to find ourselves in with a shout to get Moult to Ibrox!

22 Nov 2017 11:56:38
A championship club would pay the 500k without any doubt and pay him much more. I’m expecting Warburton to make an offer in Jan. I’ll be very surprised if he comes to ibrox after the start to season he has made.

22 Nov 2017 15:44:53
moult might just sit tight now til summer and a club paying zero fee will bump a few extra quid his way in wages or signing on fee. definitely agree there is going to be a lot more demand now and where he would have been a given in the summer, now i'm not so sure

21 Nov 2017 17:25:48
Still hope its Michel Preud'homme as our new manager. The guys a class act and a winner. I don't see the big rush however more important to get a decent left winger/ midfielder, a bigger version of Jason Holt and younger version of Kenny Miller, Oh and 2 single tickets for Windass and Hodson.

21 Nov 2017 18:51:31
Not a chance

21 Nov 2017 14:48:33

21 Nov 2017 12:50:20
Murty is finished, anyone that picks Hodson to wear the rangers shirt is not fit for purpose.

21 Nov 2017 18:36:43
Dunno how long Elton is out for anyone know for sure? Also Wallace?
Hodson has been absolutely DIRE tho amd I would rather we gave the LB Posotion to Beerman or Thompson! I'm amazed that Hodson is an internationalist!
Nemane had absolutely no time to make any impact in fact I do not think any game he has been thrown into he has had a chance and nearly all have been when we were down! If Windass cannot put in an performance then he needs hooked at half time or give Aaron a start!
We are crying out for a solid LW/ LM and by all accounts Dalcio isn't around.
If we don't sign someone in Jan then maybe we should put Dorrans or Holt out there with the other obviously Central.
If Windass and Nemane can't cut it then I always thought having Wallace at LB with John at LW could work imo :/

21 Nov 2017 19:51:50
Andy the amount of money we just wasted this summer is criminal. honest to God mate what a waste. most of them are on decent contracts too. that's the last two managers that have left a squad I players that are not good enough. we just don't seem to have learned a bloody thing

21 Nov 2017 22:11:22
isnt nemane away at chrustmas certainky ine of the lone players was obly 6 months

22 Nov 2017 10:45:58
Agree Delboy, but if we can bring someone in then Moult would be top of the list!
And due to the fact that we are needing something done to help our left wing and I want to see somebody arriving and if its a loan then so be it! Rather a Loan than buying a Player of low value and taking a risk and having another wage on the Bill for a possible 2-4yrs!

21 Nov 2017 12:43:12
That's me just managed to recover after seeing Hodson in the team, no hope for Rangers when that calibre of player is on the park or Windless for that matter. Big Bruno must be **** ragin.

21 Nov 2017 13:58:25
Bruno has been poor as well

21 Nov 2017 22:52:23
Bruno has not been poor

22 Nov 2017 09:16:43
Its the old pals act again, miller and murty picking the team.

21 Nov 2017 11:43:23
maybe the hold up in the manager search is due to the board been so diveded on who to bring in and not having the finances to bring in the man they want
all the managers mentioned in the running are going to want a very good wage and at least the same player budget as pedro so this is also going be a big sticking point if we strugling for funds i no king said there would be funds available anying he says can be taking with a pinch of salt

22 Nov 2017 10:56:06
Yeah Craig but if that is the case then u would think that McInnes would be a better option regarding Wages, dunno how much this Resolution 11 will have an impact on the amount a new Manager could have either in Jan or nxt Year?

21 Nov 2017 11:10:13
According to DR Van Bronckhurst hasn't ruled out a return to Rangers but why don't we go for the other Dutchman Dick Advocaat? Holland didn't qualify for the World Cup so he might find the challenge appealing and would go head to head with Brenda. He also won the Europa League as boss of Zenit St Petersburg in 2008 against us. Problem and question is, what money is available for any new boss?

21 Nov 2017 17:36:45
Advocaat was lured here with a blank cheque book and bought his way to trophies.

Zenit were incredibly minted also.

He wouldn't touch it with yours.

21 Nov 2017 10:20:51
Bruno Alves refused to sit on the bench vs Hamilton according to the rags.

Might not be true, but I took pelters on FB before the Hamilton game for saying Bruno should be in the squad over Wilson or Mcrorie. Mcrorie is some prospect but playing a CB of that age in such an inconsistent team, it was inevitable he would make an error like he did against Hamilton and the team end up paying for it.

The young lad should be used when required and make subs appearances. Rangers aren't in a position to be messing about with youth at this moment in time unfortunately. we've got a Portuguese international picking up good money, he should be playing games when fit.

21 Nov 2017 10:29:44
TBH I would drop Wilson before McCrorie. Wilson is slow, very average and won’t improve. I also thought he got caught out against Hearts a few times however they didn’t capitalize on it. Far better to have McCrorie alongside Alves. There have been plenty other players who have been poor yet still get a game under Murty. Anyone who prefers Wilson to Alves isn’t manager material

21 Nov 2017 10:40:16
Agree 100% Brian.

21 Nov 2017 10:47:13
FYI, I remain hopeful that the board will get this decision correct and I back them to do it. No matter who is appointed it’s going to split the support.

If they go for McIness or McLiesh then guys like me will be disappointed, if they go for a left field appointment then the the guys shouting for a Manager with SPL experience will be raging, it’s a no win situation for the board do they have to block out the noise and go with what they think after the interview process.

None of the candidates mentioned so far are above an interview in my opinion so if they aren’t up for one then we should move on!

21 Nov 2017 11:01:30
We should always play our best players if fit. according to Murty he picked up a back injury. so what's the truth?

the quicker we get a decent manager the better. this nonsence with Kenny Miller and now Alves wouldn't have happened in the Jock Wallace, Smith or Souness era. players have too much power now

21 Nov 2017 18:54:30
Agree about withdrawing Wilson before McCrorie but was thinking could McCrorie poss fill in at LB if Beerman and Thompson are being overlooked? Which I do not know WHY! If they were tied up with Development Squad duties which stopped them from being included in First Team then after Hodsons last Performance, If Elton is not available then Murty must male sure that either one of the Youngsters can be fielded! Like I said with Alves back in then imo I would put McCrorie at LB anyone but Hodson!

22 Nov 2017 11:15:22
To be honest I still think our strongest Partnership in Defence is Alves and Cardoso! We do need to give McCrorie Games tho, only have Alves for 1 more Season and I'm thinking we might be on the look out for an experienced CH as a pairing of a potential Cardoso and McCrorie is still on the young side?

21 Nov 2017 08:10:37
Rangers might not be able to afford the compensation it would require to bring Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes to Ibrox, according to the Glasgow club's former captain, Barry Ferguson.

Why does this guy open his mouth and share any thoughts about our club?

We get it Barry, you've nothing else on and like the attention, but please stop talking about Rangers.

21 Nov 2017 10:32:04
Why should he? Barry is an ex player and Rangers fan. He is entitled to his opinion like anyone else and he is employed by a newspaper to give it. We have more pressing issues currently than what Ferguson has the say

21 Nov 2017 10:40:51
I agree Bob, how the hell would Barry Ferguson have any clue what money was available for anything? Just because he couldn’t look after his own dough (or cleverly bumped a trail of debt more like) doesn’t mean he should speculate about ours. I would have no problem with this column if he had any FACTS.

21 Nov 2017 15:15:24
Aye right you are Brian, me and you should talk about how to solve they issues in the hope that the board see what we are writing on this forum?

I'm fed up reading ex players who have no input in the current set ups opinions.

Ferguson knows no more than you are I about the club's financial state, or any other matter he talks about in his position as a newspaper pundit.

21 Nov 2017 07:55:29
I've got to say our board surely are being incompitant with the time there taking over a new manager, I bet you they haven't made any approach for anyone yet they probably don't have a clue who they want or what to do next. Clearly they are not going for McInnes (why I don't know ) or they would have done so way before now. Now he could be lost to West Bromwich, unbelievable Rangers. Who do they think they are? Is it there egos? If I was half as bad at my job as they seem to be ide have been out the door long ago. They'll take the money but seem to be doing nothing to earn it. My message to them is get your self in to work and get your job done. Don't dare bring in a dud we the fans have had enough and won't put up with it. GET THE JOB DONE.

21 Nov 2017 10:11:37
aye robbie your whole post is just a pump for mcinnes you don't care if they get the job done as long as they put mcinnes in, if they do it will all end in tears with him as his recent results are starting to show

21 Nov 2017 10:34:37
The will take their money?
You do get that the people who run our club are putting money in hand over fist and getting very little in return at this time yeah?
Also if they rush into a bad choice the chance of them getting their money back goes up the swany!
But never mind their own interests and the millions they have used to help our club they need to worry because wee Rab C is banging away on his keyboard!

21 Nov 2017 10:35:27
The board are a shambles.

Remember the Warburton sacking was an embarrassment.

Pedro - let’s not even go there. Why is it taking so little long? Whoever had the finsl say on him should have followed him out the door.

the reaction after Hamilton’s second goal tells the fans are getting disillusioned as well. If that happens then we are in trouble.

21 Nov 2017 11:16:51
Listen truebluesotrue my post was not a McInnes and no one else please message, it's an I'm sick of us being poor on the park with everyone taking the piss, my post is about the board making a decision and get there choice in quickly please. And yes bluegenius the board have put a lot of money in and that's great but I have paid my way too as well as you have but they have do do there job and who ever they want go and get him please.

21 Nov 2017 12:28:27
We have all paid our dues Robbie and are entitled to our varying opinions.
My only issue is suggesting these people are taking a wage for nothing.
I would rather they took their time and made a wiser decision.

I think we all know the media are a joke but we seem to fall for it.
Everyone is convinced that we have all these definite people we are speaking to and who the board want but actually there is no factual evidence.
Take McInnes for example. We have been told he's first choice, then we have baulked at the compensation and so on.
The fact is we don't even know if the board are rmotely interested in him. ZERO CLUE. Obviously it makes sense that he's in the running but the rest is MEDIA TRIPE. We all get excited (or otherwise) and start lapping it up and then when nothing happens start complaining.
The media are a joke these days and are just on a clickbait exercise to stay afloat.
Will we miss out on our ideal target by taking our time? I don't know but let's not shout at the board for not going for someone that they have already ruled out (for all we know) and hope that they have our, the clubs and their own financial interests at heart.

21 Nov 2017 17:07:17
I totally agree with you as regards the media in Scotland Bluegenius, they are rotten from top to bottom and full of fake stories and lazy journalism trolling social media trying to get a slant on anything Rangers. Of coarse the board want to do the best for the club, they as well as you and I and every Rangers fan don't just support the club we Love the club. Yes I want them to make the right choice ide prefer it to be sooner rather than later tho. I enjoyed your reply Bluegenius it does make a lot of sense.

22 Nov 2017 08:43:44
Cheers Robbie!
I feel your pain I do.
Here's to the right choices and going for 55!

21 Nov 2017 07:14:12
It's now becoming a joke, from guys wanting it all to go back to the souness days (clyde phone in) to Ashley ploughing in millions. We had our chance when we were in the fourth tier. We started at the bottom but unfortunately ally Mc coist wanted us to be "the big club". Remember C Green saying most of our youth team will had played a 100 games for the top team before we got back to the PL. That went well, ally wanted a team of seasoned pro's in case we played a PL team in a cup competition. We have the second biggest turn over in Scotland if only we lived within our means. A good British manager with a team of good British players would guarantee us second place every year and something to build on. Let's get our head out the sand, live within our means and move forward. We might be second but they might slip up and year on year we will get stronger.

21 Nov 2017 06:48:56
Guys, what's your thoughts about safe standing areas? Personally, I think we should be moving the union bears section to the copland road or move the away support and let the union bears sit there. The atmosphere is terrible at the moment and i know most will say a winning team will produce an atmosphere but i still think we should be getting behind the players.

21 Nov 2017 11:14:31
Ffs we have no manager we are siting 4th in a pish league where our biggest rivals are 64 games unbeaten we can't even win 3 on the bounce we are waiting for outcome of yet another court case re our finances our once proud records are falling at an allarming rate and YOU are concerned about atmosphere and want thousands spent on safe standing? There is a reason celtic are the only ones in Scotland that have it. they are the only ones that can afford it. we need any money we have for a manager, better players, doing up Ibrox. not bloody safe standing!

21 Nov 2017 06:12:08
Mcinnies tipped to take over from pulis
(BBC news)

21 Nov 2017 09:35:17
Good as he's not the man for us

21 Nov 2017 10:12:42
There is no man for us, he's retired now.

21 Nov 2017 10:35:26
Agreed Fod, if only Watty was up for it one more time!

21 Nov 2017 11:30:19
Big Sam will take WBA job on and keep them up then leave with healthy cheque.

21 Nov 2017 00:19:55
