Hurts to admit it but the better team won today they were hungrier from the first whistle and look fitter and stronger throughout. We need to learn how to defend or else we will get found out in the SPL you can't just attack every team every game for 90 minutes. Tavernier at right back got found out he's no interested in defending, and the big man Kiernan had a howler. Sheils and Nicky law comin on offered nothing and the quicker they go the better. Also waghorn nowhere near fit and holt was in mcGinns pocket all day. Need some more quality if we are to compete next season! Just hope MW is given the backing he needs.

Other than the reference about Law coming on I can't argue with what u said. For months I have said Tavernier is a weak link and will cost us and was slaughtered by people on here. People who are strangely quiet all of a sudden. The defending has been poor all season and Warburton did nothing about it during the January transfer window.

To make wholesale changes in such a successful team would be a costly mistake and I think we all know that's not going to happen.
Foderingham, Tavernier, Keirnan, Wallace, Halliday, Holt, Waghorn, Miller and McKay will have big parts to play next season and they deserve it.
That's 9 out of the starting 11. Doubt Halliday will play as much or Keirnan but think they'll still play there part to an extent.
Rossiter should be a starter, Crooks will fight for that holding midfield role as well and still a chance of Joey Barton joining. Doubt a new number 1 will be signed or anyone even competing with Tavernier.
Think we all know a centre forward will be joining. Maybe not a direct number 9 but a 36 year old and Ryan Hardie isn't enough for next season.
Think the defence has spoken for themselves after today.

True we need competition for RB but let's see how Tavs develops and see what he's about nxt season and if Aird wants to stay at Ibrox, I know he wanted more game time and I think he thought his time was wasted here but he seems to have come on whilst in MLS so if Magic can talk to him let him know that he has a fair chance we could have the answer on our doorstep, but if the lads hearts not in it then we may need to look elsewhere, we do need 2 big experienced CB's and a forward. If Barton was still to come it would say a lot about the guy and I think he could have a major role, Warbs will rotate a hell of a lot more nxt season and I hope he uses the Lge cup wisely for instance giving it to the 2nd choice Keeper as well as some other outfields. Also should be interesting to see under 20's in Challenge Cup as I think the new format begins nxt season and some games should be shown on TV (Alba? )

Tav has been brilliant this season but unfortunately v Hibs was not one of his better games.
Would like to see him deployed in midfield as I think RM might be his best position.
I know Warbs goes on about a tight squad but the last couple of months we have been struggling to name subs as so many players were sent out on loan namely Aird, Walsh, Murdoch, and Hardie.
We have had a good season and could have been a great one but we are back in the top flight and that was the No 1 priority.

I'm guessing the FA will be saying no chance their coming down here chaps cause everybody hates them and their mates in the east end would only make it worse----flares and banned songs really don't help either so that's that tied up and discussion closed----onwards and upwards for me cause if you would have told me last sept. we would win the league get in the Scottish cup final after beating the unwashed and wash it down with Ashley getting the boot I would have been a happy bear. It is what it is and we got beat by a hungrier team who can enjoy 2 games in Europe and a cold winters nights in Dumbarton etc. Europe would have been nice but we are not ready yet for that. walk before you run I say. Disappointing today but looking back to the start of the season did we think we'd win the Scottish Cup? I didn't. We've won the Championship and are back in the SPL and won the Challenge Cup too. We beat Kilmarnock, Dundee and Celtic on the way. It is a bit worrying that we are losing games and Warburton must sort this out. We need strong defenders - Wilson is useless in my view so too is Kiernan. Wallace, Holt, Halliday, Mackay, Waghorn and Miller are brilliant. Still a work in progress. Get McGregor back from Hull if they don't go up and big Bougherra!

Guys we have played some good football this season but today was a let down we looked slow from the off
I am perplexed at some passages of play, I understand we are trying to play football from the back but some times we need to launch it long from the back and win the knockdown
We also need to get to the byline and put a descent cross in. Its clear we need to spend big. The two CB need to be big guys.

So our medals presented by ryan hardie in our dressing room as they were given to him by unamed official and told its unsafe to go out to recieve them. not safe for our players to return to pitch. our players and staff assulted by there fans but guess what will happen. nothing. totaly unacceptable . hibs should be docked points next year or expelled from competing in scottish cup. absolutely shocking.

Say something, I'm giving up on u! That was the song going through my head today watching that game! Hibs fought for ever single ball, if they didn't win the first ball they win he second, we played good football, but that doesn't win u games, fighting for everything does, a love Rangers with all my heart, and we've came a long way since 4 years ago, and long may it continue, we had a good season, but not a great season, well done hibs for turning up and fighting till the end, wish we done that, we'd b sitting here lapping up a treble, but they who dares wins! Really disillusioned with the back 4, well 3 of them, Wallace is an athlete and a footballer and a Rangers man through and through, the other 3 though, let us down big time today, waghorn has does us great this season, but a total waste of a Jersey today! Only Kenny Miller gets pass marks from me today. Taverniers worst ever for us and the central defenders simply cannot defend in the air. Pace was way too slow, McKay and Waghorn largely anonymous.
Love Warburton, but his insistence on playing out from the back leads to way too many self inflicted problems. It simply won't do in the SPL.
Abandon the recruitment obsession with midfielders and make 2 commanding centre backs and an out and out goalscorer the priority.
And stop insisting a small squad is a positive, the evidence speaks for itself and we were badly caught short.
Warbs is magic but sometimes he is wrong!

Gscot i watched the first 10 min of falkirk v hibs, and when the keeper launched the ball it found his teammate twice, and reached an opposing player 12 times, so playing from the back is alwats best imo, maybe if destperation is seeting in ie the last few min looking for a goal its worth a launch, after the first 10 minuets i switched the tv off.

Miller was immense today pity he was the only one. Shameful that it took a 36 year old to show the team how to play. Never hid and always wanted the ball unlike the majority of the team.

Hurting after today. Hurting because it was a half arsed performance and the majority of the players let themselves and the fans down. Still a bit raw but only pass marks for me were Wallace, Zelalem and Miller who I thought was MOTM for us. Holt was hiding but came into the game.
Halliday was poor, Tav is a shocking defender and Hibs took every opportunity to exploit him. Foderingham made some good saves but isn't good enough in my opinion. Wag horn looks as if he's stuck 3 stone on and wasn't fit, but he'll come back after a pre season.
Kieran was very poor and Wilson flatters to deceive. The majority looked like they are on holiday already and have done since the semi. Shiels, Law, Clark, Bell, Templeton, Aird must all go now. Tav, Wilson, Kiernan, Foderingham are on borrowed time.
These are just my opinions but can't see much room for manoeuvre. The fans were not sent home happy. The less said about full time the better. I won't comment on what the others did, but any of our support who got involved should be banned. You go on the park, don't come back.
We also had the old songbook back out and the flares. When will we learn. Hibs will be disciplined but I think we will be hammered too. A terrible advert for those watching around the UK. I'm a very disappointed, albeit lifelong, bear tonight.

Watched the game today, we looked rusty, slow, unfit, we where second to every ball, hibs fought for their life's, never gave up, even when it went 1-1 a thought we got out of jail, to go up 2-1 out of nothing, I thought it was unjust, but was happy with it, all we needed to do was to be sensible, keep the ball, they weren't pressing, they looked tired, we made subs at the right time as well, but sheils let us down big time, all he needed to do was be strong, be sensible, run with the ball, it couldn't get going, the boy Henderson win it for them, great player, deliveries into the box are something else, we can deal with a corner coming in, pretty sad as well, cause we have just about everything else, tav was shocking today, stokes stayed left wing all day, while tav should've been Marking him, played left wing as well,

Are you surprised about Shiels? He isn't good enough and he will be away in the summer. Look at the 2 benches today they could bring on players who were capable of turning a game while we had 4 players on their way out. The idea of having a small squad has come back to bite us.

Absolutely concur with your post Colin. Looked as though we were treating this game as another Spurs knock about.
Pity that our last game of the season did not truly reflect the huge advances we have made since DK, the new board and management have taken us back to our rightful position in Scottish football.
Looking forward with great anticipation to next season.

If you are talking about the Jack McKenzie video you cannot really see what is happening or who it is happening to. I also doubt it shows miller getting knocked out as there was no mention of him being one of the players attacked.
Before I make my mind d up about this I would like to either see clear evidence of the attacks or hear the players make public statements on what happened.

Basically, the story will either be that some of our fans saw players being attacked and ran on to retaliate.

Check the attendance at the FA cup final it's as bad as parkead. Even tho we lost it was a good advert for Scottish football bar the bam pots at the end. Been the case so many times this seaso watched a couple of entertaining Scottish games then been let down big time by super Sunday. Don't usually entertain the English games anymore just watchin this single fish because it's on after the Rangers.

We were a poor team but even poorer after Zelalem went off. Check the watch, yep 60 minutes, time for a sub. Corners conceded are beginning to feel like a penalty kick being given against us. We didn't get enough ball to McKay and what exactly was going through Kiernan's head for that first goal? In Tavernier's defence, he took a bad knock early in the game and we had no one to replace him. He played through injured.

All their goals were cheap goals to give away and we have been doing that all season. Tavernier was shown up again for his poor defending and you can't go into the premiership with players like that. Too many players guaranteed their game and too small a squad. Bad day when a Waghorn needs to start when he is nowhere near fit after a long term injury.

After Kenny Miller scorered at hampden again how much will it cost Rangers to replace the 36yr old when the time comes!? The amount of important goals he scores is invaluable! After todays result it is clear that we need a rock solid CB because Kiernan is not good enough. Tavernier isn't a right back play him as a winger or RM. I don't mind the keeper he doesn't get enough protection and if you want to play like Barcelona you get exposed at corners! **** hibs they need to play in the championship again next season! We are in the top league fighting for the title next year! I trust the magic hat to bring in the necessary players to make us a force again! Roll on the summer!

Although i would have loved for us to have won today, let's not forget we never bugeted for euro football, in fact this team were brought together for 650 grand, so we will inprove big time for next season, also the hibs supporters were like animals, assaultin our players and backroom staff after the final whistle, what will the s. f. a. do about it? Game too much for this squad today. Pretty shocking performance from everyone bar Miller. Think it was a combination of small squad, bad defending and inactivity.
The main thing is we got promoted and beat Celtic in the semi.
Still think we would have done them if MOH, Forrester and King were available, even with that terrible performance.
Hate to say it but it could also be a blessing in disguise, the Europa league would have killed our title chances next season. Think by the time we strengthen and Celtic play some extra European games it could be a good leveller.
Well done Hibs though, the idea of chasing a trophy for so long is quite mind boggling to the likes of us. The fans were shocking though.
On a side note well done for the season all the same Rangers, we did the important things anyway.

Have to agree hibs probably deserved it but did anyone else notice how cheaply Clark gave away a throw in at the half way line then didn't cover the player he lost out to which led up to the winner for hibs? Must admit when they equalised I wasn't too optimistic when he came on. Not totally blaming him because we were rank but have said all season he tries but no where near good enough. Last game. Hibs fans were a disgrace too.

It only counts beating Celtic if u win the cup it means nothing if u don't. We have been caught out with having a small squad but that's down to the manager. He wanted a small squad and this is what happens when u have one. Waghorn was nowhere near fit but had to play and the defenders have been making the same mistakes all season yet keep playing. Look at the bench today 4 players who know their time is up and know they aren't considered good enough. We have 4 players who were just filling up the bench and a 16 year old.

Disappointed today, looked like Hibs wanted it more. Couple of things which did concern me:
Trav was not at it from the off and should have been replaced in the first half.
Davie weir was an outstanding defender who got by on positioning and reading a game, is he not working with the centre backs? I can't see his influence at all on the defence.
Given that two of Hibs goals were from corners, as well as Miller hitting the bar with a header from the corner, it shows that a decent ball in can be productive so why are we not putting it in direct more often?

Agree about Tavernier however who would have replaced him? No matter how he or Foderingham or Wilson or Kiernan play they are guaranteed their game. We needed around 8 or 9 players last close season and we need about the same again. Unless money is spent u can forget about challenging for the title next season and even a Europa league place might be out of the question.

No beating around the bush. Players aren't good enough, haven't played well since the Celtic game. Need a whole new defence apart from Wallace and a whole new midfield, Halliday was a passenger today! Need a proper striker like Kane Hemmings/ Stevie May, 3 midfielders like Ball, Barton and Krancjar and then a whole new defence like ziggy Gordon in RB and Gordon Greer in centre half with probably Matt Crooks. Shocking today and shows how much we need to change for a higher Division. Not against part timers anymore.

He was slow and clumsy! Should have been back to prevent the first goal, kiernan was playing like a crab and I think Wilson successfully made one or maybe two tackles!
Miller played well as usual, Halliday scored a screamer, Holt and Mckay were off their usual pace but put the effort in.
Goalkeeper needs to have a look at himself and we need to look at another goalkeeper!
Missed out on the chance of European football for another year and possibly some decent signings.

It's amazing the lengths that some clubs have to go to to get themselves a bit of publicity, but I'm sure the big talk later will be all about the Rangers.
Onto more pressing matters but, and I just feel that no matter the result today, the management and team deserve an enormous amount of thanks for the way they've entertained us and the great moments they've given us this season.
As a season ticket holder for 30 years, I've had many tears of joy at ibrox but getting back into the premier and the beating of them in the semi brought me another couple of tearful moments.
So well done to the management and players for the style in which they've played this season, well done to the fans for the support we've given our team, and well done to the famous Glasgow Rangers for being the best club in the world. Let's do this teddy bears.
