I must admit personally that I'm a huge fan of waghorn. OK he missed two sitters against the dark side but all strikers miss chances now and again. I just think with a decent run of games up top rather than out wide with someone else decent playing next to him he could do us a real turn next season. He was always going to be linked to Notts forests as will a handful of players because of Warburton. He said himself he wants to stay and personally I hope he does.

21 Mar 2017 22:00:26
For me It depends on the money we get offered for him anything between 1 and 2million I would sell him

22 Mar 2017 09:19:25
so who would we et to replace him at 1-2million

22 Mar 2017 09:20:08
I'm not a fan of Waghorn. He just doesn't have enough in his locker to offer Rangers. Poor first touch, poor movement off the ball, poor vision and anticipation, only one footed and that's bang average, plus no pace. If we're going to challenge them then we need to start comparing like for like and unfortunately Waghorn wouldn't make their bench. He's one of the players I expect to join MW. Good luck to him tho

22 Mar 2017 09:45:36
Vote4Pedro, did you not watch him against Hamilton? his wee flicks and touches were great. Waghorn has a lot to offer with the right manager.

22 Mar 2017 10:21:05
What if you offered £3 milion deano, would you keep him? 🤔😂

22 Mar 2017 10:35:30
I think he's decent, you need to ask if we sell him for a million will we get better for that? I'm not so sure.

22 Mar 2017 12:26:07
@onlyshowaround - yeah I was at the game. Couple of decent touches/ flicks against the poorest opposition in league isn't enough to sway my opinion. The poor outweighs the good. Every time he tries to turn on the ball with his weaker foot it looks like he's trying to move a wardrobe. Also when he gets it in his mind to shoot, that's it, regardless if someone has moved into a better goal scoring position or if three defenders are closing him down. Then it's head down and 6 extra touches to try and tee himself up. You've got to ask yourself, would he get a game for them? Then it's no. But that's only if you want to truly challenge them. Not for me thanks

21 Mar 2017 17:07:04
we shouldn't touch Ferguson, as people have said the le guen situation and Scotland just proves he's not up for it things don't go his way and he takes a paddy, he just wasn't that great in my opinion and his attitude is awful, bring in bomber or someone like big touch, any thoughts

21 Mar 2017 17:39:25
I think you're wrong mate. I think he was a pretty Great captain for us and was very successful, something we aren't at the moment, in my mind there's no risk in appointing him as number 3 and hopefully he can make sure the players already there and any new signings what exactly is required when u play for us!
Something I'm not convinced Davie Weir did

21 Mar 2017 20:04:03
I think people mature and there character grows with age and experience. It's naive to suggest that because of past instances we couldn't benefit from having Ferguson there.

21 Mar 2017 19:30:27
Starman you must be from the moon if you don't rate Barry. PLG was a disaster and Barry was only guilty of caring to much, as for the Scotland debacle, yes it was petulant and childish but it was a mistake that he regrets. Tbh i can't see a better candidate for the role other than Barry

21 Mar 2017 19:33:34
Barry ferguson ticks EVERY box for me, mate! He wasn't a great player you say! IMHO that's absolute nonsense! He was the best scottish midfielder to come out of scotland in the last quarter of a century! that's how highly i rated barr ferguson my friend!

21 Mar 2017 19:48:53
Well said Pete

21 Mar 2017 19:56:34
have to agree with star man

baz was a brilliant player and great captain as well huge bluenose but the dressing room revolt under le guen and issues with scotland plus lack of any real coaching experience would suggest to me bringing in baz is a massive risk

I'd go with Alex Rae or bomber

21 Mar 2017 20:38:29
Agree with starman, i have no doubt he would undermine in the hope of moving up,

22 Mar 2017 08:12:45
Ive got a mate that there son signed with clyde and he said bf was brilliant, i think the role suits him to a tee, personally what he did with le guen then scotland i think taught him lessons well walters size 10 s did anyway

22 Mar 2017 09:38:05
See all the folk calling for John Brown? Have any of you seen him lately? If not let's just say he's not in the best shape he's ever been.

22 Mar 2017 10:34:00
Arguably the best Scottish player of the last 17 years, a club legend. Let guen got himself the sack he was a God awful manager.

21 Mar 2017 16:36:05
McCann for me would be the best choice as Scottish assistant.

Baffled why we went for Mcleish as DOF this seems like square peg in a round hole. Qualified to be manager but not DOF.

21 Mar 2017 17:10:09
Has MacLeish been appointed DOF?

21 Mar 2017 19:31:25
We never went for Eck as DoF. he was asked by the press would he consider it if asked and he said no because he wants to concentrate on management side and to be frank i'm glad because some of his signings were nothing short of shocking, ostenstaad, capucho, emerson, namouchi, fan fan, rodriguez, mdlanovic, bernard to name a few

22 Mar 2017 10:07:08
I think Barry was one of the best midfielders ever to play for us, I rate him so highly

21 Mar 2017 14:23:46
i know pedro won't really know him, but what about kyle bartley playing for leeds on loan from swansea? he is one of their better players this year and only has a year left on his contract with swansea who i think don't need him.

i think we could get him between 1 and 2 million and in my opinion he is well worth is!
whats your thoughts guys?

21 Mar 2017 14:35:18
He's the leeds utd captain and leeds are very likely to be playing in the EPL next season mate! It would be very hard for us to sign kyle bartley now, i'm afraid!

21 Mar 2017 16:34:08
is he their captain? my god I've never seen a loan player be captain before!
and he is just on loan from swansea i know that much for certain so if they don't want him we might be in for a shout i'd say its worth asking at least. quality over quantity

22 Mar 2017 10:36:19
He's not their captain, it's Liam bridcutt he's like one of their vice captains. I would take him or Liam Cooper both are very good.

21 Mar 2017 10:04:10
Everone is going to have an opinion who we should or shouldn't sell so pedro will use the last games to decide

Im sure senderdross will be first out long kiernan if any one will take him

We need 2 comanding CB along with quality DM and midfileder of hyndman quality if we can't get him on loan again then a prolific striker and hopefully pedro can get better performaces from players we have that haven't shown full potential

But think he needs to change captain as wallace as loyal as he has been is not vocal enough to be the fangers captain at this level

21 Mar 2017 11:42:16
i can tell you one thing, if he keeps kiernan and senderos, i will be worried!

21 Mar 2017 12:30:53
Kiernan, Senderos, Halliday for sure. In saying that - all are on good contracts -why leave and who would take them. Warbs will buy Tav for aprox £1.2m. possibly McKay and possibly Rossiter -if fit

21 Mar 2017 13:40:35
Think senderos kiernen Halliday forroster and garner should definitely go! then if an offer of around 1.5 comes in as has been reported for waghorn then I I would sell him and windlass as think windass could get us some decent money and think we could get better in and it's a profit on what we got them for. Then I'd send dodoo and ohalleren out on loan and bring in two centre halfs defensive midfielder two strikers and a good winger then Hyndmen in on loan if possible and hopefull nico and rossiter can stay fit will be like two new signings. I'd give both hill and miller new 1 year deals but they will take a step back and be more of squad players but there experience will be good to have around the place.

21 Mar 2017 14:37:30
You make some very good, valid points, Deanobear!

21 Mar 2017 16:41:58
id hate to see rossiter, forrester and tav go i'd love to keep all three especially tav as he is a really good player and when he is told to stay back i'm sure he will plus the modern day full back is up the park more often than not.
forrester for me has a lot to offer and if playedd in the right way could be our no.10 as i think he has great first touch and when he isn't greedy he can pull off some great through balls aswell.

rossiter isn't proven yet but i liked the look of him.

to go list ; kiernan, senderos, hill (good but too old) , halliday (wish him all the best) dodoo, garner and i was gonny say waggy but i'd give him another shot with the new guy first.

21 Mar 2017 19:32:42
Agree with a lot of your post James apart from the Forrester part mate. for me he hasn't got it. i know this is going to sound silly but i think he actually tries to much and makes to many wrong decisions.

21 Mar 2017 21:20:48
Rossiter has massive potential but unfortunately he has been injured for most of the season and Dodoo has not been given a chance under the previous manager.
Waghorn looks better through the middle and with the formation we played against Hamilton it allowed Tav to forage forward with Toral and Holt protecting the back 4.
Caixinha will decide who remains at the club but recent performances by Tav and Waghorn you would expect them to be valuable squad players
