Was just reading an article from the bbc Brian McLaughlin. Stating that Celtic are heading into financial trouble. There overheads are through the roof and the are losing millions. The 30 million will be gone once the deferred wages are paid out.
Further wage cuts expected and expects top players to be sold.

As for all the morelos talk. A love him, but he has let us down, in to many important games. If you look at his record and all the games he has missed, none are down to injury, all suspensions. There is no question, he is a great player, but pointless to keep him, if he keeps going the way he is. Cup finals and pushing for titles, u need your best players pn the field.

Yes he is petulant and loses his cool a lot but, he gets it rough every game. Hibs, Hearts, Smeltic, Aberdeen and Killie.

KJA9, he has scored a lot of goals in europe for us, and important ones at that. that's not enough, also goals were scored last campaign and this campaign by other players, while he was suspended. Also, was he not suspended for the leverkusen game (again)? what's your excuse for that? You can be the best goal scorer and player in the world, pointless but, if you are unreliable. A suggest you take the blinkers off. I will say again, a love Morelos, but he has to change his attitude and stay on the park.

It’s the individuals responsibility to sort out there own problems and get on with the job there paid to do
If he’s hear this season I hope for the club - gerrard and the fans he just knuckles down and plays football and keeps himself available to be picked and then hopefully he can show what he can do in a full season

Mr Grumpy, i don't want to argue either, and i do respect your opinion. I don't want to sound like a hate morelos, in fact, he is one of my favourite players. I just wish he could cut the stupidity out of his game.
His positives far out weigh his negatives. He has the ability to be one of the best strikers in the game. He can score goals, hold the ball up well, make great passes and is rarely selfish. Sadly, Its his nagatives that are letting the team down. I have fought his corner since he has been here. But, there is only so much you can do, he has to help himself.
He is only shooting himself in the foot with his temper. If he can get his head right, a hope he stays forever, but there is no point in having an amazing player, if he is not available for selection in big games.

Morelos very rarely turns up in the games that matter can score for fun against low to mediocre sides in SPL but in old firm and key games domestically he is found wanting.

Morelos is a goal scorer no doubt about it, he has scored some crucial goals. It shouldn't be that he contributes more than he costs us, that's ridiculous, he shouldn't be costing us at all. His petulance has cost us, I said as much last summer. He needs to sort his attitude. As for players giving him attention, that's just another excuse. 👍.

I have always been a big Morelos fan and have defended him many times on here. One thing I find alarming though is just how much he carries this team and when his form falls off, post christmas for example, the full team are off. I think in the first half of the season his form and goals covered up for some others who are just not up for the fight. For me we should never have signed Defoe for another year and used his undoubted massive wage in our terms to attract a player who will provide serious competition to Alfredo. Maybe then he would also realise that he needs to screw the nut or he might not get back in the team.

Laudrup you said other people were scoring when he was out. That’s not true at all when Morelos since dec didn’t score and that’s when we went on our worst run and no one was scoring.
It will be a very hard job trying to replace him and that’s if and it’s a big If someone buys him.

i understand all the arguments for and against Morelos but as mentioned here already its not about one person. the whole team were rank rotten, there wasnt enough goals from others to carry the team when one player was out of form. Morelos petulance comes from frustration, anyone can see that, if he isn't getting the service or if indeed he misses a few you can see he gets annoyed with himself. That isn't solely a Morelos issue, it happens to everyone. Just he is upfront and we need him then he is in focus more than the other players. Coldo you said Kamara is a star player yet i don't hear you criticising him this year or is he above that in your eyes.

If Hearts and PT take their grievances to court then next season may take a wee while to get started. Their first action will be to take an injunction out to stop the season starting. This could be for a week or so or a couple of months.

The SPFL now have a difficult decision to make:
1. Do they settle out of court costing several millions? ;
2. Do they risk going to court costing in excess of £1 million? ;
3. Do they risk Doncaster' collusion with Peter (? ) being scrutinised in minutiae? ;
4. Do they risk closing the league being declared illegal? ;
5. Do they risk awarding titles being declared illegal? ;
6. Do they risk Doncaster / Dundee Utd voting collusion being scrutinised in minutiae?

1.I don't think they can settle out of court after letting it go this far. They would have offered compo before threat of court if they could.
2.The alternative to court is to cave and they can't offer reconstruction now as the clubs have voted against it.
3.The collusion will be scrutinised and also why no media attention to the vote farce.
4.Closing the league was not illegal relegating clubs might have been.
5.Awarding the league was not illegal, possibly against the rules, definitely immoral.
6.It wasn't dundee united but dundee that doncaster was colluding with and I would say that that episode was probably illegal and definitely botched and showed unprecedented levels of incompetence.

1. They can settle out of court - they have / had seven days to do so;
4. Courts will look at how SPFL arrived at league ending;
5. Awarding the league before completion may be illegal under fair play rule - deemed illegal in France;
6. Voting procedure definitely iffy at best and illegal at worst. Perhaps we will find out why Doncaster phoned Peter, and to what extent Peter had in all this.

I meant that it was daft letting it go to court then settling and oh how I wish a court would look into the legality of the whole episode but I really don't think awarding the title could be construed as illegal, relegating clubs on the other hand, well. The thing that annoys me, True, is that fans of other teams at my work (plenty of different teams) are not interested about what went on and think I'm moaning out of sour grapes. Their collective hatred of Rangers is astounding and when you've got st mirren or killy fans preferring one team winning the league 8,9,10 times running than us stopping the run then that says a lot about Scottish football.

Apparently the SPFL have said they don't have any funds in place to pay a settlement?
And when you look at the court papers submitted by Hearts, the SPFL wanted to force the club's to call the league's and relegation as early as 8th of April!
And they've also got the SFA's compliance officer involved to look into throwing Hearts and Thistle out of the league's ( or at least get them to back down ) .
And there's still compensation to BT, BBC and overseas Tele to sort out!
A total mess!
And this from the very beginning was to award the Tims an unearned tainted title. 😷👀.

I have seen some comment by respected football writers that the current situation might force the SPFL to reconsider Reconstruction and indeed to propose going with the Rangers proposal to allow our under 21's and the other lot, to play in the lower divisions. That would allow teams that were relegated to stay up and also the Highland and Lowland League Clubs to be promoted to the league. The Rangers proposal has been strongly supported by Barcelona and others and it would see an inflow of at least £700,000 to the lower leagues over a period of years as opposed to the SPFL facing a hefty compensation claim from Hearts and Thistle, (not to mention the possibility of the season being delayed) . A competent CEO and Board of Directors would have pressed Clubs to go with this proposal in the first place and then potentially negotiate TV access for Rangers / Celtic Colts games to be televised.

Guys, it will be anything to avoid scrutiny for the corrupt crew. A slight change in reconstruction proposals followed by another rigged vote with usual threats will see the legal issues recanted and any investigations halted. It is a racing certainty. Don't get me wrong i'm a believer in democracy but how many times within scottish football, that these very small clubs vote together to stop things happening that would improve scottish football? Not meaning this in a bad way, but the spfl/ sfa must look into rules to change this voting system! Why are small clubs who contribute very little to the game in scotland being given the same rights to clubs who contribute massively? 🤔🤔 Something needs to change here and the governing body should govern properly, pull rank and put in place league reconstruction of leagues of 14-10-10-10,end of story.

As the clubs rejected reconstruction and as it’s unlikely the SPFL clubs will settle out of court, I wouldn’t be surprised if these jokers are forced to play on-off play offs between the bottom and top teams to decide who plays in which league. Let’s face it, if DU are faced with a prospect of non-promotion then the least they would want would be the chance of promotion. Not ideal and whilst Doncaster and the so-called legal adviser MacKenzie should be hunted, it might be the only tangible solution available.

Ok fellow bears how highly do we now currently rate rino gattuso as a manager/ head coach? His first few manager's jobs, didn't go well for wee rino. I think his last job managing acmilan and now napoli are proving he's improving as a manager there's no doubt about that. For me personally i've met the wee man a good few times in the royal bar pub in harthill and in the hillcroft in whitburn, where he used to date a local girl and i would love him to become our manager one day. First and foremost though, he has to prove to be good enough. Being in his company though guys and he's a terrific wee guy, who undoubtedly loves the glasgow rangers. All our italian players over the years loved our club!

Deano1872,for the record firstly, i think we will sell alfredo morelos mate! But and here's the BUT, we then have to sign a top class striker to replace him and there not available for buttons most of the time and don't grow on trees pal! Remember if
morelos did leave, we'd have to find another replacement striker, who can pick up the baton of scoring between 25-30 goals a season mate, because that's what alfredo gives you! El buffalo is the top goalscorer in the europa league into the bargain.
Don't get me wrong, we've still got the wonderful jermain defoe here, but he's 37 years old now and although still brilliant to have in our squad, he'll be on the bench a lot of the season and we cannot expect defoe to start/ play in 30-40 games a season and maybe more. So IF morelos were to leave, we need a class signing to replace him and will more than likely have to spend quite a bit of dough to do that. Over and above that we still need to sign at least another striker anyway, who can play in a good few of our games in scotland and take the burden off defoe and any new signing to replace morelos.

Alfredo is an excellent player and I supported him for all his faults he will go and for decent money. For me yes al the young lads at clubs would be better off at division 2 etc in colt teams learning the trade week in week out same as kelty and bora deserve to be in league as others do if the qualify to be promoted just look at what edinburgh and cove have done this season
But personally i can not see it happening EVER as the killies hibees st mirren etc of this country want rangers and celtic twice at home to get a few extra coopers in the tin plus the main objective to it is SKY TV who want 4 old firms not 2 who are also to busy thinking about there ratings rather than about the trouble on the streets of glasgow before during and after old firm games yes cutting it from 4 to 2 games won't stop the numptys after the games but atleast it cuts the trouble in half to start with on a day old firm game would have been played.

I agree steven Gerrard loyal. Defo, quality signing, no just squad players. As much as i like, guys like andy Halliday, they offer, very little on the park. We need a strong 11 and a strong bench. Also, don't want Kamberi, anywhere near us.

Defo no more bench warmers. But we need players that can come of thr bench and and make a difference. Its how all big clubs operate, strong 11 on the field, with a couple of game changing players on the bench. Also the squad is looking a bit thread bare.

Kris boyd wrote a superb article in this morning's sunday post, regarding what he reckons rangers need to do, if they sold alfredo morelos. He's correct in stating that if morelos was sold, rangers most definitely need to spend big/ find an able replacement, who can guarantee the 25-30 goals a season, that morelos does! He's also spot on in saying that lyle taylor and big lyndon dykes are good strikers, but not morelos's replacement. They both would be good for enhancing our squad quality!
Boyd is also spot on when he says defoe's still a terrific striker to be in and around our squad but if morelos was sold, he shouldn't be expected to play 30-40 games as he's better coming off the bench and is 37 years old into the bargain! Worth a read guys.

SGL, If Morelos goes then we all know it's going to be very difficult to replace him. However I do think we shouldn't always rely on our strikers. Our midfield should be watching old Gerrard videos. Why are we not scoring more from midfield or at least having a go at goal. Is there any interest in Morelos anyway? If there isn't then he'll end up taking the huff again .

I think a striker in the £10 Million range would come to Rangers or Celtic, as this would more often than not give them European Football, which quite a few in this bracket won't get in other countries.

I've been reading several articles regarding Hearts situation, they state that Hearts genuinely have a case with some adamant that they'll win their case. If they do win surely that'll open a can of worms. How much have clubs lost with ending the season. It has also been reported that Doncaster is making Scottish football a laughing show. ( Think we knew that anyway ) . So potentially the premiership start may be delayed. Hearts may win their case. Hearts may receive compensation. What a mess and what an embarrassment Doncaster really is.

just wondering why no-one is up in arms and challenging the free pass given to qualifying for the riches of next seasons CL, when passage via winning league was awarded abs not won
relegation is a big issue but so is being handed a ticket to the biggest party of them all when you haven’t earned it
think Amiens are challenging decision in France to call the league not sure how that will go or if it could set a precedent as Ibthibk they are not just challenging relegation but whole process to call an incomplete league.

I come back to what I said in another post guys, WHY, were Brechin City saved?, something very underhand as Brora and Kelty Hearts, and, as someone else correctly said Bonnyrigg Rose were also in the frame to replace Brechin City. If the subject of reconstruction comes up again to nullify this situation, all Clubs should say, not until the current SPFL Board is dismantled.

Trev no7, that has always objection to the awarding of the title, how we are asked to stand aside meekly while our rivals are handed access to, potentially, £30mil is beyond me, and why we are not challenging it more robustly baffles me to say the least.
The league being declared null and void but them getting the CL place as per last seasons standings is FAIR, them getting the title and access to unearned riches is UNFAIR.

32,000 season books sold and 16,000 MyGers sign ups already. Given the world we are living in at the moment and the financial position for many, that's an incredible response from the fans. There will be many out of work or concerned about future income who may not have been able to renew too but that really is some number, a couple of weeks before the deadline. And bearing in mind we have a lengthy waiting list. Brilliant.
