it`s all went very quiet from King, regarding his promised £20m investment.

beginning to look like we`re not going to see it anytime soon, if this is the calibre of player Warburton is only allowed to pursue.

Free transfers, and 35 year olds with dodgy knees, ffs even Ally was buying younger players.

and before you all give it the D Weir joining at 36 story, Weir never had two knee ops weeks before signing, unlike J Eustace who`s not kicked a ball all year.

How is Eustace the only player Warburton can pursue? Scott Allan, Danny Wilson and Warburton even went abroad to look at young european players? Nae bother, just be patient son.

Why do people think he will just throw 20mil in the bank. he will invest as required and over time

I thought it was part of his coaching licence, being at the Euro 21s?I think most of the boys on show will be tied to big clubs anyway.

Before Warburton and Weir you were whining about King and board not moving quick enough on manager and it was all a scam to just put McCall in the job to save money

Now King is not funding players. Seriously you are typical of the leave the game early moan at anything persons all try fans are sick of

The manager and team are just in the door and you have not got a clue who they are biding on just a couple of early squad recruits that THEY fancy. When we do sign Allan and likely many others what will your next greeting faced post be that his hasn't repainted the stadium yet or that the season tickets promotion is being greedy?

I actually despair of moron*c posts like yours

Please go and support or moan at a team other than Rangers as you are not a genuine fan

I'm slightly confused to why people are complaining about bringing in a 35 year old who easily has 3 years left in his legs, fantastic experience and it will put young Murdoch on the right path, the perfect formula is experience AND youth. This guy brings in a lot of experience FOR FREE.

Totally agree Onlyshow and with 4/5 further additions we should be able to put together a good team. I emphasise team, and the key to that will be the way we are organised. I feel a hundred times better than I did at this time last year and now that my season ticket is organised I have good vibes. Lots of work to be done on and off the field but there is a sense of unity starting to surface within our club and that augers well for the future.

To say I'm a bit shocked is saying something. I've just read in a newspaper that David Weir has not ruled out some of the players that have left may return, with Ricky Foster saying he wouldn't go back because the way ha found out he was leaving, through the. Media this is the 2nd player to say this about Stuart MCall, just for the record Ricky we don't want you or any other failure back near our clun Davie Weir size up FFS

Let us hope he was talking about Vukic and maybe Ferguson and not McCulloch or other elderly statesmen who's best days are long past

The only ones I would take another punt on would be Boyd and Vuckic. I think Boyd, given better service and better training would be decent to have for squad depth.

22 Jun 2015 16:34:45
It's all gone quiet on the Vuckic front, we must have sorted something out with him before he left.? Is King playing silent as to not give Ashley the impression we really want him so he'll play difficult. Anyone heard anything?

well heres what I think. if there's one loose cog on the chain then nothing will work.obviously time will tell as in most relationships but I fully trust the partnership of WW with our club and can only see success down the road. warburton may move on in a few years to the bigger stage down south as may davie weir but they will leave us with no loose cogs from the under 9s and upwards . celtic will win more titles and maybe even Aberdeen will sneak one in but believe you me we are on the way back . up the gers.deecee

Kiernan and Eustace, two (likely) new signings. I must admit I haven't heard of either so we'll see. I like the idea of Danny Wilson and Lewis McLeod returning though. And why hasn't Barry Mackay's name been mentioned as returning for a run in the new-look first team? Surely Murdoch and Walsh deserve a chance, especially Murdoch after his performances last season. We still need a goalkeeper, centre back and striker.

{Ed001's Note - one thing that I think is worth putting out, though I am not comparing the two players in terms of quality, is that Gary McAllister joined Liverpool at the age of 35 and took complete control of the team and lifted it to a whole new level. Ok so Eustace is nothing like as good as McAllister was, but this is the Scottish Championship, not even the SPFL, so his experience and ability could be just as vital at this level as McAllister's was in the English Prem. If Warburton intends to build a young team, he will need that experienced head to guide them.}

21 Jun 2015 08:00:40
I agree Ed. Look at what Davie Weir did when he joined us at an even older age! Anybody has to be better than Moshni. lol

doiger they are only in the job a week pre season training has not started warburtn does not know how good his young plyers are gie them a chance heavens above probably barrie mackay is only a name on a bit of paper and he did not set the heather on fire at raith and as far as I have been told he is still unwillng to track back

I don't think a goalkeeper is vital, another centre bck if we sign keirnan, a winger and a striker. calamity bell might improve with a half descent defence infeont of him.

i would say a goalkeeper is a must bell has been woeful scince coming back into the team the gal he lost at ibrox against motherwell at ibrox was terrible

A keeper is a must,Ive no idea what sort of budget we have, but could certainly do a lot worse than look at kieren Westwood at Sheffield wed probably the best goalie in the championship but with a price tag around 1.5m I think I'm pishing against the wind.

21 Jun 2015 15:35:51
If we are to sign a goalkeeper there are a lot worse than bain and Scott Fox.

Barrie MacKay isn't good enough to play in first team. He's got pace going forward but nothing defensively. Can see him at Arthurlie Juniors in a few years.
GK isn't a priority if there is a budget. 2 CBs a ball winner in middle of park, a number 10 and a CF. Yeah basically a new spine

21 Jun 2015 17:51:31
Goalie is the number one signing for me all great teams including our best teams have had the stabilising anchor of a great goalie, Bell isn't even a good goalie.

Scotty123

What about a winger?

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Jun 2015 20:08:00
Yeah a winger would be great but that's 6 first team players I've got on my priority list. Ideally I'd have 11 lol, however, would rather have quality over quantity. Spine of team is key and having strong players in those positions should have us going through season similar to Hearts.
Btw I'm not saying Bell is great but if he had a strong CB pairing in front of him who both knew he doesn't pass 6yard line then he would do for me till prem league cash is available to further strengthen. If we take games to teams then I'd expect him to be pretty inactive this year

Agree2 Disagree0

22 Jun 2015 02:33:26
A coupLe of raith supporting mates reckon mackay isn't good enough to play for them so by that I'd say he's not good enough to play for us, he had a handful of decent games in the third division but I would have had a handful of decent games in the third division.
