To be fair there is a strong chance that wolves would put us out, just because there is a fair amount of truth in what jim is saying doesn't mean he is negative. I'm sure he is optimistic but a realist at the same time. 👍.

Not going to be as definite as Jim however he does have a point, we definitely want to avoid Wolves in the draw, they’re a very strong team, finished top half of the premiership and have a ridiculously massive budget compared to us. If anyone watched them at all last season (especially when they knocked Liverpool out the F A cup) they will know how good they can be.

I hope that isn't based on a 1-1 draw with Blackburn in a pre season friendly. Wolves would be a rough draw but in all honesty I think we would fare better against better teams - on the counter we are good, breaking defensive teams down we are making big strides but a good bit to go.

By the way, you post as if you know everything and anyone who disagrees is wrong - WRONG!

My views are consistent - I support the club, the team, and the manager through thick and thin.

I trust that SG is the right guy and that the board have the best interests of the club at heart whilst risking their own £millions.

I believe that coaching and encouragement gets results even out of less talented players and think that constant negative comments are damaging.

The exception is that negative comments can be faced up by negative comments, hence, I think you are full of sugar when you rubbish almost every other post.

Wolves are a decent side with some good players and would be slight favourites if we drew them
We are 2-3 weeks ahead of them in terms of Pre Season fitness and have the experience of playing in Europe and how to set up especially away from home.
Add on the underdogs tag and shifting the pressure onto them, there’s also the fact many English sides see this competition as a hinderance to their league campaign in the early rounds.
like I said they would be slight favourites IMO but only just.

There's quite a lot of pesemists masquerading as realists on here. I for one would relish a game against wolves and I'd even go as far as to say we've got the squad to give them a right good game. Bring them on.

I would most definitely relish a europa qualifying game against wolves. We would give them a game even over 2 legs, no doubt about imo anyway. As Govanhillblue says, bring it on. Would b a cracking tie.

I'm as much optimistic as the next guy I really have high hopes every time Rangers play but IF we get wolves my blood pressure will go sky high I watched this wolves team last season there play is very slick neat n tidy there clever splitting a defence with 2 or 3 passes from midfield they get in behind extremely dangerously quick that's what worries me but on the flip side I do believe anything can happen at ibrox.

Ojo was howling today as was barasic. How people think we don't need kent is beyond me. Murphy doesn't look great, too soon for hastie who should prob go out on loan with middleton. Jones looks good but he is not as good as kent👍.

Kent only started to come good the last 15 games of the season Have to agree thought the form he did show in those games I reckon he's better them the lot of our wingers with Czndeias being 2nd best My opinion of course.

I fear Ojo is going to be more Ejaria than Kent. Not convinced by him at all at this point. Think he might be another Worrall where we are all desperate for him to be dropped but Stevie G keeps playing him because of some loan clause. Hope I’m wrong!

I'd give the players the benefit of the doubt, it was a preseason friendly. Would Kent improve the first team squad? Definitely but he had his fair share of games where he was 'Howling' last season.

The goal we lost was a bad pass from katic it should have been cleared. Hopefully learn from it. Also Arfield and Davis got to be 2 main midfielders this season.

I think RfC bear meant that it's nice to see players playing football from the back but sometimes I agree just kick it away for example the goal came from katic not kamara and mcgregor probably should've done better to the kick went straight to there player.

they are our 1st pics with kamara if he goes with a diamond

still can’t see all the fuss over jack the lads decent but we are a totally different team with davis pulling the strings

when davo and scotty arf came off rovers care into the game

only a pre-season but davis shd still start ahead of jack all day long.

Totally in agreement with gowtrueblue and trev no7.Although ryan jack got the motm at ibrox this afternoon, i thought steven davis imo was motm. Davo's awareness, close control and passing against blackburn today, was immaculate.
Scotty arfield wasn't far behind him. I'm also in the mindset that steven davis and scott arfield have to be the mainstays of our midfield this season. They are the best 2 midfielders we have. When they went off today, you could see the difference and the noticeable lull in our play. The blackburn keeper had a few decent saves but the save he had from arfield in the 2nd half was outstanding.

I think Ojo is going to frustrate a lot of people this season. Looks like he has a great burst of speed and good control but he looks a bit over eager. Like one of these younger players that needs to learn to calm down and take his time. Think his ability will serve us well but might have to be patient.

He was a bit slack with a few simple passes but I won't hold it against him. I think he'll prove to be a good player just think there'll be some hair getting torn out along the way.

A tad concerned amid the interest in AM and Tav. DC is almost certain to leave, if Tav and Morelos get sold, no matter the fee I feel this would be very detrimental to the team. These players have been integral the past two years and if we want trophies this season I think they need to stay.

A right back i think we should be looking at is Robert Gumny from Lech Poznan.
My Polish mate says he's a pretty tasty young player. Mhanky mobile were looking at him a couple season ago. He would probably cost £4-5m and we'd still have change left from Tavs sale if it went ahead.

I've been Tav's biggest critic at times with his defending, or lack of defending. I've also been the first to put my hands up when that side log his game improved. His game through last season improved so much under SG. I don't think £5m would get us a replacement RB on par with Tav.
