If Rangers draw wolves, we are out .

21 Jul 2019 19:35:08
I thought we would have to play them first?

21 Jul 2019 19:47:31
Pessimistic much 🙄 I’m glad we’ve got more optimistic people in charge than you.

21 Jul 2019 20:01:32
Jeez Jim that's a tad negative.

21 Jul 2019 20:03:00
Hows that then jim09? Mid table prem team. Aberdeen almost knocked out burnley when they finished 7th i am being honest and i would be confident beating them at ibrox.

21 Jul 2019 20:45:27
To be fair there is a strong chance that wolves would put us out, just because there is a fair amount of truth in what jim is saying doesn't mean he is negative. I'm sure he is optimistic but a realist at the same time. 👍.

21 Jul 2019 20:48:49
Not going to be as definite as Jim however he does have a point, we definitely want to avoid Wolves in the draw, they’re a very strong team, finished top half of the premiership and have a ridiculously massive budget compared to us. If anyone watched them at all last season (especially when they knocked Liverpool out the F A cup) they will know how good they can be.

21 Jul 2019 20:52:42
What is the point of that post on a Rangers forum?

I could see it on the Celtic page posted in a gloating manner but don’t see the point on here.

21 Jul 2019 21:02:09
Dk half your posts don't have any point on here. So you want people to post opinions through blue specs only? Your post is nonsense Dk.

21 Jul 2019 21:08:33
Wolves are a good team but honestly, I don’t fear anybody just now, we will spank a lot of teams this year.

21 Jul 2019 21:17:58
There's no doubt wolves are a decent premier league team but c'mon at least we've got is a decent chance I wouldn't write us off so soon.

21 Jul 2019 22:12:45
I hope that isn't based on a 1-1 draw with Blackburn in a pre season friendly. Wolves would be a rough draw but in all honesty I think we would fare better against better teams - on the counter we are good, breaking defensive teams down we are making big strides but a good bit to go.

21 Jul 2019 21:20:15
What a defeatist post Jim 09 if that's the case why bother even turning up just forfeit the tie! Jeez ohh.

21 Jul 2019 21:25:11
I would fancy our chances particularly at ibrox but to shoot jim down for what is a strong possibility is just nonsense. Wolves were great to watch. 👍.

21 Jul 2019 22:29:07
Sorry coldo, next time I consult you before posting an opinion!

By the way, you post as if you know everything and anyone who disagrees is wrong - WRONG!

My views are consistent - I support the club, the team, and the manager through thick and thin.

I trust that SG is the right guy and that the board have the best interests of the club at heart whilst risking their own £millions.

I believe that coaching and encouragement gets results even out of less talented players and think that constant negative comments are damaging.

The exception is that negative comments can be faced up by negative comments, hence, I think you are full of sugar when you rubbish almost every other post.

21 Jul 2019 22:44:48
Wolves are a decent side with some good players and would be slight favourites if we drew them
We are 2-3 weeks ahead of them in terms of Pre Season fitness and have the experience of playing in Europe and how to set up especially away from home.
Add on the underdogs tag and shifting the pressure onto them, there’s also the fact many English sides see this competition as a hinderance to their league campaign in the early rounds.
like I said they would be slight favourites IMO but only just.

21 Jul 2019 22:48:15
You just shot down jim for having an opinion.

22 Jul 2019 05:12:35
There's quite a lot of pesemists masquerading as realists on here. I for one would relish a game against wolves and I'd even go as far as to say we've got the squad to give them a right good game. Bring them on.

22 Jul 2019 06:25:06
I would most definitely relish a europa qualifying game against wolves. We would give them a game even over 2 legs, no doubt about imo anyway. As Govanhillblue says, bring it on. Would b a cracking tie.

22 Jul 2019 07:05:04
Let's wait for the draw first!

22 Jul 2019 08:12:25
Everyone so touchy on here, settle down princesses!

22 Jul 2019 09:23:03
If we drew inter Milan we should relish such a challenge. To expect to be out against Wolves is negativity in the extreme. We would win it over two legs and at the very least they would be in a game they wouldn't forget. Onwards!

22 Jul 2019 09:26:25
I want the perceived easiest team. we need to be in group stages financially.
If we get wolves it will be a test of how far we have came and how far we have to go .

22 Jul 2019 09:36:45
Still easily rather avoid them, quality all over the park.

22 Jul 2019 10:16:34
So
If we avoid Wolves in all rounds we are a cert for the final?
Nobody else any good who is left?

22 Jul 2019 10:54:09
I'm as much optimistic as the next guy I really have high hopes every time Rangers play but IF we get wolves my blood pressure will go sky high I watched this wolves team last season there play is very slick neat n tidy there clever splitting a defence with 2 or 3 passes from midfield they get in behind extremely dangerously quick that's what worries me but on the flip side I do believe anything can happen at ibrox.

22 Jul 2019 11:38:07
EPL sides normally downplay the early rounds of the Europa League.
Let’s hope Wolves do IF we draw them.
I still fancy us to turn them over at Ibrox👍.

22 Jul 2019 14:39:46
Never mind us not wanting wolves, I bet they're glad they never drew the mighty Gers.

21 Jul 2019 18:45:01
What's everyone's thoughts on if any team came in to loan Morelos in a top league. Add ons included would you be happy? Reason I ask is if he went and scored 20 plus in the premier or France what would his value be then.

21 Jul 2019 19:27:26
Behave loaning our best striker to a team what if he don't perform aswel as expected and his confidence goes only way morelos should go if we recieved a bid of over 15 million purely benefitting our club that is our no1 priority not to boost another club in france or england or any where else in the world we are not a small club my friend we are glasgow rangers.

22 Jul 2019 09:28:45
Bear with I thought we were trying to win the league.

21 Jul 2019 17:39:27
I'll repeat myself again, Daniel Candeias is our best option on the right hand side, Ojo offers pave, but today it showed his workrate is nowhere near what is required.

21 Jul 2019 18:18:20
Not for long he's not as he will be offski shortly. Personally i think were better 1st 11 without him.

21 Jul 2019 19:00:23
Ojo offers pave but wee Danny can mono block like a gang of travellers.

21 Jul 2019 20:49:06
Ojo was howling today as was barasic. How people think we don't need kent is beyond me. Murphy doesn't look great, too soon for hastie who should prob go out on loan with middleton. Jones looks good but he is not as good as kent👍.

21 Jul 2019 22:35:20
Remember Kent was not good all the time and also remember it was a friendly as our season hasn’t started yet and remember these games are played so that our players can get match fit.

21 Jul 2019 22:40:11
Kent had his fair share of games missing aswel coldo. his 6 assists or whatever kinda prove that. Although i would like him back.

21 Jul 2019 23:24:59
Kent only started to come good the last 15 games of the season Have to agree thought the form he did show in those games I reckon he's better them the lot of our wingers with Czndeias being 2nd best My opinion of course.

22 Jul 2019 08:13:46
I fear Ojo is going to be more Ejaria than Kent. Not convinced by him at all at this point. Think he might be another Worrall where we are all desperate for him to be dropped but Stevie G keeps playing him because of some loan clause. Hope I’m wrong!

22 Jul 2019 09:49:07
I'd give the players the benefit of the doubt, it was a preseason friendly. Would Kent improve the first team squad? Definitely but he had his fair share of games where he was 'Howling' last season.

21 Jul 2019 16:55:43
so it's back down to earth with a bump then against tougher opposition.

21 Jul 2019 17:11:21
Calm down it’s pre season man. Lots of chopping and changing.

21 Jul 2019 17:38:30
It was a pre season game ritchie1, lighten up a bit.

21 Jul 2019 17:52:56
Don’t bite to the usual suspects mr. grumpy that’s what they want mate ha ha 🎣.

21 Jul 2019 17:58:20
Big difference today i thought was that we didn't know how to retaliate when they equalised. We had a winning streak which boosted confidence. Yes its a friendly and we will learn from this. Still undefeated with 20 goals scored which us positive.

21 Jul 2019 18:36:49
I watched the game today we totally dominated this one If it weren't for Blackburn's keeper we would've been on easy streets
Let's no forget Blackburn are a decent outfit One of the top sides in the Championship
We were unfortunate not to get the winner at the end when Morelos's goal was flagged offside!

21 Jul 2019 20:06:10
Nowhere close to one of the top sides in that league but its only a friendly. wouldn't look to much into it. Derby be a better test. More concerned about progress results.

21 Jul 2019 20:50:05
They finished 15th kaz, top side they are not😂😂👍.

21 Jul 2019 21:46:09
Coldo there was 10 points between 8th and 15th. Table doesn't always tell the full story when you consider we were 9 points behind them last year and that's between 1st and 2nd. Most championship teams are on a level playing field in terms of ability. As much as they aren't the best in that division, they are a strong test for us.

21 Jul 2019 22:57:28
Blackburn were 💩 last year and were nowhere one of the top sides. 👍.

22 Jul 2019 09:53:38
Aye according to you 👍. They play in a much more competitive league than us so still a good level for us to be playing 👍. Like gerrard stated, it's a kick up the arse you need sometimes when you've been cruising.

22 Jul 2019 12:14:58
Behave orange, they were 💩 last year👍.

22 Jul 2019 13:01:03
Tbh I don't tend to follow blackburn so wouldn't know either way if they were 💩 or not 💩. I'll take your word doe it since its gospel 👍👍👍.

21 Jul 2019 16:26:41
I know it’s only pre season but I think this passing out from the back and one touch passing deep in our own half/ box is going to cost us goals. Just get it away to ****!

21 Jul 2019 16:51:58
Yeah,
Let’s just lump it up the pitch, we don’t want to watch silky skilful football.

Your supporting the wrong team.

21 Jul 2019 17:02:55
The amount of goals we conceded and points we lost last season through that is shocking when your getting pressed or boxed in clear it don’t try one touch passing etc only going to cause bother!

21 Jul 2019 17:04:30
Rfc bear sounds like you would rather McInnes was our manager.

21 Jul 2019 17:14:04
We’re not Aberdeen. One draw in pre season and folk are losing the plot.

21 Jul 2019 17:24:50
The goal we lost was a bad pass from katic it should have been cleared. Hopefully learn from it. Also Arfield and Davis got to be 2 main midfielders this season.

21 Jul 2019 17:25:52
Aye just punt it down the park so we can chase after it again sounds like an amazing plan.

21 Jul 2019 17:36:00
I think RfC bear meant that it's nice to see players playing football from the back but sometimes I agree just kick it away for example the goal came from katic not kamara and mcgregor probably should've done better to the kick went straight to there player.

21 Jul 2019 17:37:06
I'm sure it was Kamara who cost the goalz who imo was horrendous when he came on.

21 Jul 2019 17:51:34
agreed Gow davis and arfield best 2 midfielders along with aribo

they are our 1st pics with kamara if he goes with a diamond

still can’t see all the fuss over jack the lads decent but we are a totally different team with davis pulling the strings

when davo and scotty arf came off rovers care into the game

only a pre-season but davis shd still start ahead of jack all day long.

21 Jul 2019 18:49:48
Totally in agreement with gowtrueblue and trev no7.Although ryan jack got the motm at ibrox this afternoon, i thought steven davis imo was motm. Davo's awareness, close control and passing against blackburn today, was immaculate.
Scotty arfield wasn't far behind him. I'm also in the mindset that steven davis and scott arfield have to be the mainstays of our midfield this season. They are the best 2 midfielders we have. When they went off today, you could see the difference and the noticeable lull in our play. The blackburn keeper had a few decent saves but the save he had from arfield in the 2nd half was outstanding.

21 Jul 2019 20:51:16
We should be just launching it from that position DK, that's why we lost a goal🙈👍.

21 Jul 2019 15:48:59
Only first half so far but well impressed at how well we're playing against Blackburn today
Our attacking going forward with pace has been excellent really surprised so early in pre season at the pace we're plating at
Honestly can't wait to full season in swing
Might be the best rangers team we have had in such a long time and it's been a long time in waiting every player looks hungry and playing for the shirt and each other

Yeah to say I'm happy is an understatement
No matter what happened today
You can see the strides the board and Gerard has done to the whole club in general
Starting to look the club we once knew
And finally the team is also.

55 Here we come 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇬🇧.

21 Jul 2019 15:53:39
Ojo is going to be a beast for us this season!

21 Jul 2019 19:36:59
I think Rangers win Ojo to score anytime will be a great bet this season. I really think he’ll hit 20 goals for us.

21 Jul 2019 20:51:57
Ojo was rank rotten today👍.

21 Jul 2019 15:29:56
I think Ojo is going to frustrate a lot of people this season. Looks like he has a great burst of speed and good control but he looks a bit over eager. Like one of these younger players that needs to learn to calm down and take his time. Think his ability will serve us well but might have to be patient.

21 Jul 2019 15:42:38
Defo boli frustrating the life out me the now 😂😂😂.

21 Jul 2019 15:55:01
Ojo will be top dog this year. Bags of talent!

21 Jul 2019 16:02:34
Think u could be right coi and hopefully but agree with boli think hel also frustrate u can see the guys got talent in abundance just looks like he's tdying to hard at times just chill ojo just chill.

21 Jul 2019 16:25:19
Ojo has been poor, far too predictable.

21 Jul 2019 19:43:21
Come on no way has he been poor! that's harsh.

21 Jul 2019 20:52:32
He was rank rotten today👍.

21 Jul 2019 22:21:17
He was a bit slack with a few simple passes but I won't hold it against him. I think he'll prove to be a good player just think there'll be some hair getting torn out along the way.

21 Jul 2019 14:50:04
Good team out today. Strong bench too. Much better squad than last season.

21 Jul 2019 22:16:15
Not the result we would want, but look at the strength in depth, c'mon the Gers!

21 Jul 2019 12:30:16
A tad concerned amid the interest in AM and Tav. DC is almost certain to leave, if Tav and Morelos get sold, no matter the fee I feel this would be very detrimental to the team. These players have been integral the past two years and if we want trophies this season I think they need to stay.

21 Jul 2019 13:07:58
I honestly think sales will on depend on how we get on in europe. Some tough games ahead in group 3. If we don't get through am sure 1 of the 2 will be sold.

21 Jul 2019 13:28:47
I see wolves could be a potential next round, that would be one i'd love to see in terms of where we are, they've spent a fortune and could be a real test.

21 Jul 2019 18:54:41
Patmo85,

I'm concerned too but, let's face it stevie G will have other players lined up if they should go.
A right back i think we should be looking at is Robert Gumny from Lech Poznan.
My Polish mate says he's a pretty tasty young player. Mhanky mobile were looking at him a couple season ago. He would probably cost £4-5m and we'd still have change left from Tavs sale if it went ahead.

21 Jul 2019 20:55:00
I've been Tav's biggest critic at times with his defending, or lack of defending. I've also been the first to put my hands up when that side log his game improved. His game through last season improved so much under SG. I don't think £5m would get us a replacement RB on par with Tav.

21 Jul 2019 11:34:42
Being reported that Josh Magennis has contacted the PFA to help get his Bolton FC contract terminated. Media previously reported that he was a target for RFC. If true is this a player we would want, bearing in mind that he is a big cfc fan. Does that matter? Do we need him? Is he good enough?

21 Jul 2019 11:43:13
No, no and no.

21 Jul 2019 11:44:36
Pretty much a straight no. Was horrendous at both aberdeen and killie. Why all of a sudden would he be good enough for us? Was just paper talk i think mate i know gerrard made a good few poor signings but that would be mental.

21 Jul 2019 13:27:06
Gerrard has been vocal in terms of the squad and how he sees it, he's went on record to say we're almost there with maybe one more arriving, that one more being Ryan Kent. what worries me about that is if he feels we can afford to lose Tav and Buffalo, and replace them with guys we already have, ie A Flanagan or Polster RB, and a Greg Stewart or Defoe up top. For me if AM is sold I'd like to see us break the bank and bring in another proven goalscorer, no names of of the top of my head, but one that would command the wage to justify. A marquee signing if you will. We've actually spent not a lot this transfer window, it's been great business again from Mark Allen and the team, but if you want real quality sometimes their is a cost involved. 30m for tav and Morelos combined would allow us to find that, and hope that those stepping up ie Flanagan and whoever we bring in produce the same level of performance that the affore mentioned have.

21 Jul 2019 14:05:32
Ive read posts on here, some saying Morelos and Tav will be sold. i'm in the belief that both will stay. We are in a great place at the moment and believe 55 is round the corner. Why would you leave Rangers? We have everything going for us to be successful this season.

21 Jul 2019 18:53:11
Ask alfredo morelos The Stuck? He's the one that is saying quite a bit,
that he wants to move to a better league mate.

21 Jul 2019 18:52:46
very large and slow on last international duty.

21 Jul 2019 18:53:17
Watched him many times for Northern Ireland and he’s not good enough! If he was good enough it wouldn’t matter who he supports but for the record he’s not a big Celtic fan. You probably just made that up.

21 Jul 2019 18:55:10
A marquee signing with regards to strikers are few but I would love to see a young striker with bags of potential sign but how much should we spend?

21 Jul 2019 18:56:10
Genuinely the only thing Magennis has on me is pace. Give me his pace and I would be a better option up front. He is absolutely bogging. Some folk on here would sign up Boris Johnson if he had a Northern Irish granny or claimed he used to sit in the Copland Road.

21 Jul 2019 18:57:48
Magennis is poor, Lafferty is better striker and club say is not good enough.
