Just a thought our transfer embargo ends on 31st Aug but I believe the transfer window doesn't end until 2nd Sept (as 31st Aug is a Saturday) therefore would we be able to buy players on 1st, 2nd Sept. Can anyone comfirm if this is the case

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No. The ban is up as soon as the window closes, it does usually close on the 1st if it falls on a week day and that's where that came from but officially it's after the summer window closes and not a specific date

At the risk of being a total hypocrite I feel I need to be honest and say I renewed my ST yesterday.
There were many reasons for my change of heart with the main one being DisintrestedExPats recent post about 11 men in blue jerseys and the spirit of Rangers. This honest post along with Larky Bear the voice of reason have served to soften my militant stance. My Missus also had an input as being Pompey she knows more than most about club turmoil and snakes on the board. Living in Scotland it's not practical for her to have a season ticket for her club and she reminded me how lucky I was to have a club and be able to be a ST holder.
With 32k+ season tickets sold I felt my solo stance was no more than p155ing in the wind at the end of the day. I also feel that as a season ticket holder I will be in more of a position to comment and push for change at our great club.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still not happy with things in the boardroom/background but I will be addressing those issues alongside following the club I love and supporting the spirit of Rangers.
So thank you Larky, Expat, AlexMc and even some of the more level headed Celtic boys who come on here. I appreciate the fact that you have returned my focus to the reasons why I follow Rangers; because I love football and Rangers is my club, always has been, always will be.
Let the slating commence.

You sir have done the right thing. Well done. Whatever percentage of our ST goes to the club it's money needed and contributed with honesty and a clarity.

RANGERS WILL NEVER DIE.

Yip you done the right thing mate. Would live to get an ST myself, but have other priorities that stop me. Enjoy.

It matters not Baybear, at the end of the day you have put your hand in your pocket and supported the club. As fans we are entitled to complain when we don't agree with something at the club we support (Mine being Celtic) but It just proves you can't stay away, and when you strip back all the b*lls*** that's going on / gone down, that's all a real supporter wants really. In an ideal world Rangers, Celtic and Scottish football would be as good a standard as down south and we would be getting TV & sponsorship deals that reflected that. And with both teams well off and with good competition in the league the only thing we would be interested in is what's going on on the park the way it should be.

Anyway, good for you mate.

Well done BayBear I'm sure you won't regret it. It's a very proud feeling I get to be a ST holder with my Beloved Rangers once again. In the next couple of days i'm becoming a full member of the RST which is also exciting. let's hope there's loads of great things for us to be talking about from the boys in blue when we get underway with our Competitive games. I'm pondering the idea to make the short trip through to Coatbridge for our 1st of the season next Sunday. I just can't wait to see them play again. Ramsdens Cup, 3rd division, 2nd division who cares I love to watch Rangers play Football win lose or draw. I couldn't care if we don't win the SPL for 10 years & Celtic win the Champions League (PMSL) it will never change how I feel when I step through those Turnstiles & hear the roar from the Ibrox faithful waiting on Simply the Best to watch our heroes walk down that Tunnel & step onto that Famous Pitch.

Would've liked to make that next Sunday too Larky but in London. Glad to hear you're giving the RST a chance too. Interested to see how effective there new forum for gauging fan opinion will work when up and running. Still, as I said before for the sake of a tenner what you got to loose.
Onwards and upwards

Cheers for the positive comments troops, and trhoop ;0)

Good stuff Baybear, you knew yourself that there was no way you were not going to cave in and renew. What else can we do, we are Rangers fans and that means going to the games and watching our team. I for one am desperate for the season to start, then we can all start posting about football again.

To larky bear, don't go to Coatbridge as the game was switched to Livingston.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well done Baybear At the moment the club still needs all its supporters to rally round, unify and get behind the team as it builds. Your decision in renewing will I am sure act as a catalyst for many more who are undecided to once again get behind the team in its charge back to the top. there is indeed a leader in you. I take my hat off to you sir. Well done.

@8 thanks for the info I hadn't seen that reported anywhere right enough but cheers mate.

@9 Cheers Al
You've got to be man enough to live by your statements and decisions in my book. You've also got to be prepared to listen to the opinion of others and accept sometimes that your way may not be the only way to the collective end goal. I've always been someone who wears there heart on their sleeve and if something p155es me off I'm not the best at hiding it. Not the best trait at times as I could sometimes do with a more measured approach before going on a rant. All that said, I stand by my original stance as at the time I felt that was the way forward for us as a support. However with the support making a 32k+ statement I now feel the landscape has changed and I'm more than happy to accept there is another way and get back to the business of football. I will continue to push for answers and say it as I see it though.
I suppose at the end of the day I just want to promote honesty. I could have said nothing, after all it's not like anyone would know any different. That tact doesn't sit comfortably with me though. Better to lead by example and not be afraid to admit your failings when they appear.
Really looking forward to the season starting and hopefully we get a chance to move forward with dignity.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well done Baybear! Gers, survived, never died and WATP. Title No56 overall is coming next.

Agree0 Disagree0

@12 I am a Celtic fan, and you saying 55 titles makes me feel sorry for you lot that's embarrassing for you. Did Juventus count their serie b title as a title? No. If Man U got relegated and won the championship would they count that as a title? No. Show a bit of class man.

Agree0 Disagree0

@13 not all fans are saying 55 and counting most of us know that it's only the top league titles that get counted

Are we ever going to sign these 2 defenders? Seems to be dragging on a bit too long, what are your thoughts?

I feel some frustration with this. Ally says he wants Moshni and he has said that for a while. What is the hold up? to be honest I don't know, can anyone explain!

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't worry Baybear there won't be any slagging from me anyway, as it doesn't take much to cave in to the joy of supporting the Teddy Bears, VERY easily done! Some of the videos on RTV do appear to show good team spirit, and Mathers does come across pretty genuine. It's certainly a big step forward and a far better way to start the season, so things on the park as least, look to be in good shape with loads to look forward to. Enjoy!

Says it all Larky, your joining the RST and you don't even know where we are playing on Sunday.

Agree0 Disagree0

@3 honest mistake to be made thinking a team would be playing at there home ground no? I had obviously missed it on the website pal I don't usually check to see if the Grounds been changed when were supposed to be playing an away game. I will in future though FS some people.

What happened to the Berra signing? Wasn't it reported as FACT on here that he would as he wanted to move back to Scotland?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No good player will be playing for the rangers, it is a step way down and affects there football in how they look for the international teams. What don't you get?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well would you turn down Ipswich to join us? Of course not.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1: it's just another example of the delusion of those who post such 'facts' that because he apparently wanted to move back to Scotland, he was definitely signing. Indeed, when it was counter-rumoured that he might be interesting Blackpool, this was rubbished because 1. that wasn't in Scotland; and 2. he was a stick-on signing for Rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we all new the I want back to scotland crap was indeed crap berra's agent just used rangers to get him more money on his next move (ipswich) the last time I looked ipswich ain't in scotland, the only team in scotland he would of joined is the manky mob as he is a supporter!

Agree0 Disagree0

@4) I said that at the time buddy. He was linked with a move to Rangers and his agent doing his job courted it to give Berra as many option as possible. The bullsh*t about him wanting to come back to be closer to his family was just added on drivel for effect. He was without a club, the season was over and he was home seeing parents etc. What else would be be doing.

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 Berra not good enough for celtic mate.

Daily record journalism

The travelling support were in full voice at half-time, as they were during the entire 90 minutes, although a handful of fans caused problems during the game by running onto the pitch.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No, please comment. Your point is?

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 the guy never has a fecking point lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this the same OP who derides what's written in the tabloids as rubbish?

Agree0 Disagree0

The police have no complaints at Brentford game. as for the alleged vile chants regarding lee rigby are total nonsense, a vile rumour started on twitter I was at the game and there was no song, yet all the celtic haters jump on the band wagon and the story grows arms and legs. steff

Agree0 Disagree0

Whose obsessed now?

Jg are you JG?

Agree0 Disagree0

If anything untoward happened at the brentford game it will surely end up on youtube

Agree0 Disagree0

Its just been on the news that the rumour about Celtic singing a Lee Rigby song was a twitter lie to cause trouble. Personally glad it wasn't true. Never want to hear that kind of thing.

Rumour started by chris graham, rst spokesman and complete b*llsh*tter, on tw*tter.

Agree0 Disagree0

@8 well hopefully he will be receiving a knock on the door by the police! What a disgusting post, to think that someone can use this disgusting act as fodder to stir up trouble is possibly the lowest of the low!
There have already been charges laid against other low lifes using this to promote their own political agenda! And now someone has fabricated a story to cause trouble! Charges have to be laid, if not questions need to be asked why not!

Agree0 Disagree0

@1, 2, 3 you all missed my point which is exactly as 3 says,
tabloid journalism is total rubbish, why did they not report on the pitch invasion?

@5 cracker - do you see the irony, your posting on the rangers page that I am obsessed, with what the DR? don't think so

Look through the posts on this page, its very easy to see who is obsessed

if you care to read my post again you may see that it was to do with the daily record standards of journalism,

JG, Jg

its the same thing

@10: why's it ironic? You have no idea who number 5 supports. Anyway, aren't supporters of other teams allowed to post on here?

Agree0 Disagree0

@11 according to persons like JG no they aren't allowed! But I remember JG trying to post on the other side's pages and being put firmly into his place pmsl that was funny!
