IMO regarding this season so far. As frustrating as it may be, I do not think it is the worst season. The results in Europe have been good. The game against Braga, who are a very good quick team, was a great result. Do you really think that if Gerrard had lost the dressing room, that we would have come back and won the game? Yes the first half in particular was not good but the team stuck in to get the result. Regarding some of the signings made, regardless if the team, some will inevitably not make the grade. I understand that some people want us to progressing quick but, just remember where we were not to long ago. Just because some fans think we are not doing good enough, this does not mean we just have to change the manager every time. We all want our team to be doing well. Supporting a team, through good and bad, will always be frustrating at times. However I will never give up on Rangers. Let's not forget, whether you like it or not, a lot of the players are still adjusting to the Scottish game. Also Gerrard is still learning. If you look to the past to players who didn't start of great at the club, but did improve after time, there will be more than you think. Hateley and Ricksen are two for starters. let's not forget We Are The People.

21 Feb 2020 22:05:10
Maybe there’s also a lesson to be learned from last night, making substitutes and giving them time to make an impact and also tinkering with the formation when it’s not working. It’s what we’ve been crying out for. Although I’m still not convinced that had it been 0-0 we wouldn’t have seen Halliday replace Barisic instead of Aribo. Just goes to show we can adapt well when we have to change, was that the start of, dare I say it, a plan B! 😂.

21 Feb 2020 20:25:23
So how do we approach the match in Portugal now that we have a fighting chance in the tie. Morelos not available so the over the top long ball tactic he performed last night is unlikely to be effective. Remember away tactics of Sir Walter in Europe back in 2007 had success when we sat-in, frustrated and hit on the break. Hopefully Jack available to provide additional midfield cover.

21 Feb 2020 20:37:05
This is far the best team we have met they will be even harder over threre mate had morelos been there it would help as he drifts off i fear the worst a 3 or 4 nil hope am wrong.

21 Feb 2020 20:51:35
If we go there and play open football believe will get thumped 3 or 4 nil.

21 Feb 2020 21:09:17
Big Blue Bear, how about the fact that we may just perform like the last 30 minutes last night and get a result, you mention Alfie, once again he does something stupid and misses a vital game for us. We'll be just fine without him, trust me, have some belief man, we saw a vulnerable side to them in the final half hour last night, good team or not.

21 Feb 2020 22:34:14
Right Irvger, the young centreback made a number of errors and looked really shaky under pressure. Make no mistake, we definitely had them rattled. Our away support will make some noise and hopefully roar us on to qualification.

21 Feb 2020 22:58:31
Bankie, last nights game put me in mind of how we've played this season, braga were a good quick passing team, we've played like that, and we've lost games in the same manner braga did last night, let's hope we kick on, tho we do play better in league, when we play euro games.

21 Feb 2020 23:47:08
Porto are a better team. We should be more than capable of getting through.

22 Feb 2020 12:38:25
Porto were a lot more tentative at Ibrox, yeah Braga are classy, got to have belief after the tides turning as they did. We have more than enough to win against Braga away if we play at our best.

Unfortunately if we don’t we could be in trouble, I for one will be remaining optimistic we can progress.

22 Feb 2020 19:02:47
Going by the game stats they had 12 shots, 4 on target.
We had 10 shots , 8 on target so this 4 - 0 prediction to them is way off target ( pardon the pun ) unless they start practising between now and Wednesday.
Oh and these were official UEFA stats. 👍.

21 Feb 2020 20:09:01
Morelos discipline has been great out with Scottish referees, in the Europa, for Columbia and when playing in Scandinavia. Ryan jack was suspended before Morelos in europa, nobody batted an eyelid 🤔 it’s football and bookings happen, Braga has four players facing suspension don’t forget, and as far as I remember our cards from all our qualifiers count? 🤔 unless that’s has changed now or is it still rigged for the bigger seeded clubs that way.

22 Feb 2020 09:41:21
It’s the manner of the bookings, Morelos is not taking bookings for the team he’s taking them for being a dick to refs or needless fouls. Jack had to make fouls covering for Kamara and at key points in games to halt attacking moves that were likely to lead to chances that’s why nobody moans about Jack.

22 Feb 2020 11:20:10
Didn't Jack nearly cause an injury to himself after giving the ball away in the cup final?
Didn't Jack get booked with a rash challenge against Hearts?
Let's not paint Jack as a level headed saviour and Morelos as a sinner!

21 Feb 2020 19:00:51
On the Morelos subject

To be honest I thought he played well last night
Done a lot of running. Found himself out on the left a lot I thought putting balls into box
But his tiresome running and dragging defences is a great asset
Just annoyed that referee booked him and he gave The ref the chance he wanted to book him,
But definitely still one of my fav players his work rate is good
He's a huffy bugger at times but I love the way he puts himself about
He is definitely targeted on the pitch and off it
Which really is not right and he's young

And by the way (away from football)

Look at the articles these newspapers write about him look at that young girl Caroline Flak just killed herself because of these articles - something needs to be done about the media and newspapers invading privacy and writing articles with no thought behind it for the way it might actually affect someone whether it's a footballer, celebrity or whatever it's shocking
I know Morelos has been A huffy player at times and can have bad discipline but again he's young in different country playing for a huge club where everything in media gets magnified 100 fold

I'll say it myself very frustrating when he gets banned but he is a cracking player not just goals but everything else mentioned
I'll still keep him for a s long as possible as he will get better and better and hopefully will mature over time too

Just need media to give the boy a break the idiots!

21 Feb 2020 20:02:45
I thought Alfie’s booking was harsh to be honest.

21 Feb 2020 20:15:26
Yeah it was harsh like I say ref looked for any excuse and acted on a bit of dissent which really was nothing

Just more bad refereeing and think gerrard had said to the squad from when I heard on his interview before game they were told not to act in way ref could use as dissent hand signals shouting etc
Honestly it’s like being back in primary school
There all adults on field should be able to say they disagree with decisions without being booked
Total nonsense honestly!

21 Feb 2020 20:15:48
Interesting post Stigmo. When it comes to the media they have no duty of care to anyone in the entertainment business, including professional football players, other than not break the law with their coverage. The onus is on Morelos to manage his behaviour and actions which unfortunately he is poor at when it comes to game discipline. Being young and in a foreign land is no excuse for poor behaviour.

21 Feb 2020 20:55:22
Alf sells papers and as long as people buy them the stories and utter poisonous garbage will continue. If you buy the rag tops and I suspect some do then you are fueling the negativity to our club. If you read that rubbish every day you will start to think like a red top. Nothing is good about red tops. Buy a book instead and break the habit. In this day and age of internet can anybody who buys such papers give me a reason what content is in the paper that make you but it, page 3 LOL, sport eh no, TV eh no, general paper non stories that fill your t break and propagate negativity - yes. I implore all Rangers fans and any other fans looking in to stop buying them.

21 Feb 2020 21:24:13
Wot about Dear Deardrie TJ.

21 Feb 2020 21:52:32
There is also no excuse for the appalling behaviour from the media and Scottish refs towards him bankie. Witch hunt at every turn.

21 Feb 2020 22:14:19
Im giving a nod to your reply Jaws, LOL however there are people out there who believe it is real, which is scary. How else do we explain Trump and Boris. I don't want to bring politics into this page but media manipulation and population data is serious science these days. eg - Has anybody got a tesco, nector card or anything like it. Well every time we as a population swipe these cards the seller, tesco know when, where and what we buy that way they can target us when we don't know it. That is how it works, we think we are getting something for nothing but no the seller gets the chance to manipulate their prices to maximize their profits based on the data they have from us rather than having low prices all the time. Big data is very powerful.

22 Feb 2020 07:40:14
TJ, completely agree, data driven marketing.

21 Feb 2020 18:41:37
Just a quick question

Anyone think we should drop Morelos on Sunday and play team he may play against braga away,
Maybe give Kent a rest aswell and possibly Davis

Or just leave it the way it is and keep same team that finished the game last night and hopefully keep the run going now?

Hopefully Kilmarnock turn up against them and give it a right good go. 😊.

21 Feb 2020 18:55:54
Morels must start cannot risk our only striker available for wenesday.

21 Feb 2020 19:04:34
Yeah good point Brian, never even though on that mate 👍.

22 Feb 2020 09:44:30
Morelos will start, Kent might be rested for Stewart, Kent might be crucial if he can find form. He’s good for counter attacks which we will need over there. Will be good to get jack back in for braga. My mid 3 would be Aribo/ Jack/ Arfield on current form.

21 Feb 2020 18:26:42
Fantastic night last night well done Rangers. Would just like to add coming back 2 down to win 3-2 is a valuable lesson and great experience for the players/ team. I know we play the full 90 but this will give them further belief that any game is winnable regardless of the situation.

21 Feb 2020 19:45:28
Only in Europe the SFA is the problem Its corrupt to the core!

21 Feb 2020 23:41:05
Morelos has been hounded by the press n been slated for weeks, not to mention the stuff with the private investigator looking into him! The wee mans only young! . different country different language. different people all together it’s clearly affecting the boy people need to get off his back! Best striker we’ve seen at Ibrox in years btw his goals will flow again once he’s over it all there’s no doubt about it boys.

21 Feb 2020 17:55:11
alfredo was the best thing since sliced bread a few weeks ago now lots of rangers fans want him sold if he was to get the same service as the celtic forwards he would be scoring in every game, he is the best striker in Scotland in my opinion.

21 Feb 2020 18:32:09
Yes he is the best striker in Scotland, I don't think anyone can deny that my friend. The issue is most people are getting fed up with his discipline. We would rather he stay on the park and do his job.

21 Feb 2020 18:38:49
Any on here that want him sold are just frustrated wi him as he has been off his goal scoring best just now, just like the whole team were untill last night Ian.

In any case his value will drop untill he is back to his goal scoring self (but without his bad old attitude of course) .

21 Feb 2020 16:47:24
Was anyone else seeing what I was seeing, that wide left might be Aribo’s best position? Would love to see a 4-2-3-1 with him left and Kent right and Hagi just behind the striker (who for the next game I think should be Kamberi) . I think Kent would be much more effective hugging the touch line and told to beat his man and get in crosses. Tav could underlap inside as Tav’s crossing is very hit and miss but his shooting from range isn’t bad.

21 Feb 2020 16:55:19
I like your thinking swag, the best form of defence is attack.

21 Feb 2020 17:01:53
Theswagman, correct my man, that would work and is exciting . Without Morelos AGAIN who keeps letting everyone down. 🍺.

21 Feb 2020 17:26:31
Think Morelos may be out for st Johnstone game to give Kamberi a chance to get 90 mins in the team rather than throwing him in from start on Wednesday
That’s if the game in Perth goes ahead! 🌨🌨🌨
St Mirren v Hearts off tonight already.

21 Feb 2020 17:28:42
Swagman he played wide left 1st oldfirm game of season and was probably his worst game for us.

21 Feb 2020 17:41:03
How did Morelos let us down, had 3 attempts saved and made it hard work for their defence?

21 Feb 2020 18:23:53
Morelos played well last night but his lack of discipline and self control is not acceptable.

21 Feb 2020 18:34:54
Oaft - how did Morelos let us down? can't believe you have asked that question. He's only got himself suspended for the return game!

21 Feb 2020 19:03:50
so what did you see in Kamberi to make you think he will do what Morelos didnt? oh did i miss his goal last night?

21 Feb 2020 20:41:15
So you want Kent, who gets stick for cutting inside when playing wide left, to now play wide right and have to cut back inside onto his left to cross the ball? 😂😂😂😂.

22 Feb 2020 13:44:19
Paul, Aribo didn’t play WIDE left against Celtic, he played as one of our daft “two number 10s. ”

Tupac, Kent is right footed, he just happens to also be very good with his left. He cuts inside when playing on the left as as above he is playing as one of the stupid “two number 10s” so he’s instructed to come inside. If he was WIDE right there would be no need or instruction for him to cut inside, just go to the byline and whip in crosses.

21 Feb 2020 15:35:06
morelos will be a fantastic piece of business for the club of that i'm 100% --but quite frankly the sooner he goes the better ---yes his goals have been important in the Europa ---but free scoring against mediocre clubs at a domestic level just doesn't cut it imo----still to score against celtic sums it up for me- ---another missed game and such an important one next week --it just doesn't stop---chew off the hand that offers the first 15 million---.

21 Feb 2020 16:26:04
Top goal scorer in Europa league. Mediocre clubs in that competition isn’t there 🧐 give the guy a break, he gets enough stuck from the rest of Scotland yet our supporters are fast to kick him when he’s down as well. If it wasn’t for him we wouldn’t be where we are in Europe or in the league.

21 Feb 2020 16:44:47
Agreed. I’m afraid the Morelos v Edouard argument is over and our man loses hands down. Would anyone not happily swap them?

21 Feb 2020 16:59:18
might be for you swagman but not for me, its your own fault you hate alfie, always negative with your sly remarks trying to draw a reaction from true rangers fans, your a disgrace fella.

21 Feb 2020 17:01:46
Morelos scores goals and has scored more goals in Scotland and Europe than Eduardo. They are not the same type of forward. We signed Morelos for£1.2m, think they paid £9m for Eduardo. I know which one I'd have.

21 Feb 2020 17:07:11
you missed the point entirely blue, hes no good to any team suspended and quite frankly he is suspended way too much. Europa was never part of my argument as he can pop them in against quality opposition, but not sitting in the stand he cant.

21 Feb 2020 17:25:16
I’m sorry deecee but you can’t make an argument and say we won’t look at a certain aspect of it. If you’re judging him you need to look at all his goals. Can’t just say “Europe doesn’t count”. If it wasn’t for his goal against Legia we wouldn’t even be in the competition at this point.

21 Feb 2020 17:58:57
where did I say Europa doesn't count swag--im agreeing with you---but once again its very difficult to hit the net from the stand---end of story.

21 Feb 2020 17:59:26
sorry --I meant blue89.

21 Feb 2020 20:42:55
Sadiq has scored more goals in the Europa league than Edouard! 😂😂😂😂.

22 Feb 2020 13:45:09
Trueblue - think you’ll find this is the first time I’ve ever been negative about Alfie. And I’m not even negative, I’m just realistic.

21 Feb 2020 13:59:07
Ed what are the chances of having a live chat setup amongst live games Did we not does this previously?

{Ed033's Note - Live chat is setup, you have to look just above the start of the posts on match day for the link to the live chat, or bookmark the live chat page

21 Feb 2020 12:42:27
Eventually. A change of formation with kamberi Morelos and Stewart and hagi. Kent needs a rest on the bench with kamara. We should play our second half team at the weekend. Why have we not tried that 3-4-3 before. Or a 4-4+-2 with Morelos and kamberi up front. We overloaded them second half. Both of them on at the same time will batter the defences in our league.

21 Feb 2020 12:34:18
Hi
Copenhagen gave Celtic too much respect in the first half, they changed and got into them second half and were the better team by far.

Rangers played one of the toughest teams and looked dead and buried after the first half.

Rangers score then become a different team, full of hunger etc.

Both games still in the balance, but I think Braga are still favs and I think Rangers will need to score maybe two goals away.

21 Feb 2020 15:07:55
We will score in braga mate, whether it will be enough I don’t know, but I think we will catch them out again and hopefully take one or two chances. Mind jack is back aswell.

21 Feb 2020 18:41:47
I said after the draw was made that both teams should be looking to get through and i believe both teams will. Didn't watch the celtic game but did hear that a draw was probably a fair result.

21 Feb 2020 12:11:55
1st of all would like to congratulate the manager on eventually mixing it up and making subbys at the right times. The next massive plus is stewart kamberi and aribos impact on the game. Absolutely made up for aribo. Just to think all the pelter he gets on here compared to Kamara whos recently been touted as a 10mill player. he's a 50k player right enough. he's literally getting worse game by game. What on earth has happened? Constantly giving ball away and almost had a mad header assist putting them right clean through on goal. Extremely tough game next week we need to keep the ball a lot better if we want to progress.

21 Feb 2020 12:56:34
Guys be happy at a wonderful comeback but let's not get too carried away and wait till next wed evening to see where we are. Massive game on Sunday which is a must win. Be interesting to see line up as kent is like a wee angry boy who's lost his ball. Why not try 3.4.3 on sunday or 3.5.2 as barasic out anyway.

21 Feb 2020 13:30:04
Or 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 or Leveins favoured 4-6-0?
Or why don’t we just let Gerrard get on with the job he’s paid to do - manage our great club to the best of his ability?
And we can all play Football Manager on our phones? 🤪.

21 Feb 2020 14:47:03
That's my point mr tuppence worth. Was it a bit of luck with borna getting injured last night as the system was not working and has not been working last 5 weeks or was it tactical genius by the manager. We are all entitled to our opinions good and bad. Only 8 weeks ago some on here were refusing 8 million for kamara now the same guys are wanting him never to play again.

21 Feb 2020 11:12:21
Ive just been asked this question. "Do you think Borna Barisic is up for the fight because it seems when the going gets tough he is always injured? "

I won't tell you how i responded for now and let's get others opinions on that first. It was definitely a heavy challenge he took last night btw.

21 Feb 2020 11:24:57
Don’t think many players could carry on after a Kung fu kick to the back.

21 Feb 2020 13:27:48
Took a proper sore one no way was he running that off.

21 Feb 2020 13:32:27
I did say to the fella beside me last night that your Davy Robertsons or Arthur Numane wouldn't be as easily injured. However, I think we have to accept that today's modern footballer is more athlete than footballer and as such need to be fully fit to perform to potential.

That was a right good thump he took though, happened right beside me and you heard the wind being knocked out of big Borna.

I still can't talk yet and am like the cat that got the cream, I can't stop smiling. My team won and I have a suitcase full of square sausage and Morton's rolls lol.

21 Feb 2020 12:01:18
I've thought for some time Barisic, tho I rate him highly, has a bit of a glass jaw.

21 Feb 2020 12:17:37
Aye looked like he took a sore one to be fair.

21 Feb 2020 12:23:32
Been out with a hip injury then took that challenge. Some folk desprerate to get on the backs of our key players.

21 Feb 2020 12:38:42
Stupid question he’s been on top form the tackle last night was an assault it was right in front of me it was a sore one could have been red.

21 Feb 2020 13:43:44
Do you think that the mob across the city are going to have to play by the same rules as the rest of Europe last night was one that they would have got away with any other time sooner we get var the sooner we get back to a level playing field.

21 Feb 2020 13:44:23
Good response Cletus. My response was similar. There is so much data provided about players training and match performance that i think genuine injuries would be easily noticed. Most players these days won't play unless close to 100%. There are exceptions to this though.

Glad youve got your sausage and rolls Cletus. Did you find a chippy since Blue Lagoon closed down?

21 Feb 2020 14:39:26
Square sausage and morton's rolls Cletusvandamme? Ye cannot beat it pal! 👍.

21 Feb 2020 15:04:19
Right in front of us last night. Borna was assaulted. A straight red for me. To say he got injured easily or has a glass jaw on this occasion is completely infantile and ridiculous. Our supporters are so bloody fickle. Don’t let positivity get in the way of a negative outlook. Ref wasn’t interested though. His booking of Morelos was an absolute joke, thought he was poor. VAR not used once either.

21 Feb 2020 15:15:09
Barasic is definetly up for the battle.
That was a sore one he took last night and i'm not surprised he had to go off.
The amount of times he gets clattered in 90 mins is unbelievable for an attacking left back and he still gets on with it.
In Borna Bear we trust.
Ask the Croatia manager 😁.

21 Feb 2020 15:18:32
Ibrox4me

Your right mate - the kick on Borna was shocking looked like it was right in the kidney area

And the yellow card on Morelos - well there all told before hand no hand gestures and no complaining
But the ref was just waiting to card him at first opportunity

Refereeing has went right down hill across the board
Can’t watch a decent game of football without the refs making massive blunders these days

The best response was getting the 3 goals and winning the match

And will be even sweeter to get into next stage.

21 Feb 2020 16:54:28
Barasic has been getting booted up and down the park over the last couple of months, with referees letting it go or giving the opposition a telling off instead of a card. So i hardly think he has a glass jaw.

21 Feb 2020 10:43:50
Fantastic result and trust the Manager will start changing out players as soon as they are obviously having a bad day.

21 Feb 2020 10:33:04
DK19

I haven't got a clue what your talking about buddy

This is a banter sight and you come on and praise the team and you can come on and moan about the team and manager when things aren't great (which they haven't recently)

But don't come on with stupid accusations of me trying to predict the downfall of the team
I have never predicted the downfall of the team at any point in time.

Only came on and voiced frustrations when we're playing crap and take same time out to say when we played amazing like last 25 minutes last night

Said before what I say or you say ain't going to change the managers decisions and how the players play lol

So stop with the daft analysis of the game to try have a dig at my posts mate
Because your response came no where near what I said in first place so try sticking to the subject before going off on tantrums that make no sense.

The team played like they did before Xmas in last 25 minutes prior to that there was folk left Ibrox at half time last night
Because the dire performance in the 1st half that at everyone at one point thought it was going to look like a cricket score

I said in my posts if you look back it was a tremendous come back and more like the team we know rather than team of recent weeks and that i hoped it would be a turning point in our season

I'm a x season ticket holder supported the club for 40 years work comes in the way now a days to be spending on a season ticket
I pay for merchandise and pay to watch games on tv
I have as much right as anyone else to come on here and voice a frustrations and opinions as I wish.

Doesn't make me any less of a supporter

Just a supporter that wants the team to play as well as it can during every game
It's called passion, maybe something you lack when you can't raise your head to voice frustrations when the team is losing points to in my opinion inferior teams in our league

And as I said last night I'll guarantee I'll be back on if they play rubbish again
But that's just me 😁👍

Too many folk on here too quick to try jump on people's opinions and thinking there's is the right opinion and we should follow there example
That's not how it works we are all different with different opinions and that's what makes us different

If you don't like my post don't read and don't answer

But don't come on being rude and self righteous

If your a supporter support the team yes
But have some decency and let folk have there opinions and let them vent frustration and except it's not them not being a supporter as you put it
But being passionate and wanting the best

We can all vent and we can still be true supporter and we should support and allow folk to come on without vindictive responses
It's your fellow supporters!

Anyway still buzzing from last night well done to all the lads and management team
I'm sure it will be a shot in the arm for the club and will install some belief back into the team and hopefully they can take the positive result forward 😊

Wonder what the odds would be to meet Celtic at some stage
Does anyone know what that stage would be, could it be next round if both teams progress?
What a match that would be 😁.

21 Feb 2020 11:08:04
Great post Stig. I too have criticised Stevie G because over the last 8 games or so we've been terrible. Let's not sugar coat it.
Now it's only half time against Braga. A great result it was but we can't go back in to our shell like we did against the Tic. So. onwards and upwards. Mr G don't forget who saved your bacon last night.

21 Feb 2020 11:11:16
Iv'e tried posting somthing similar about our up and down performances and the manager's tacticts and job security.
Those who don't agree with some of what I post then go on to slag me as a tim in disguise etc. etc.

Just like you I am a diehard Rangers supporter Stigno.

Great post mate.

21 Feb 2020 11:26:50
Thanks guys 😊

We’re all supporters at end of day and we want the team to do well and play well
I’m sure every supporter round the world is the same
And some of us like a good moan to. En frustrations like myself
Doesn’t make us less of a supporter

Like you say guys onwards and upwards it was a great result 😊.

21 Feb 2020 11:30:52
Weren’t you the fickle poster who’d rapped it until the summer? 😂😂😂
One brilliant Europa League result and you’re back on the Gerrard bandwagon - something some of us never got off.
Maybe that’s all DK19’s getting at?
Anyway stop being so precious, enjoy the result, we’re all fans! 🔴⚪️🔵.

21 Feb 2020 14:06:47
I don’t doubt for a minute you are die hard Rangers fans but too many calling for players/ managers heads when we go through a sticky spell. Calling them crap, mince etc. Support the team through thick and thin.

21 Feb 2020 15:10:39
Everysaturday, yip very true, but bluebilyand 1974. Are always moaning on here, they forget we are glasgow rangers, not real madrid.

21 Feb 2020 09:52:43
Just seen Chris Sutton's twitter post about our win last night, dearie me what a bitter individual! any team to come back like that would celebrate wildly! absolute f@d.

21 Feb 2020 10:01:32
What that clown saying?

21 Feb 2020 09:57:46
The Tim's celebrate with their fans after every game! I don't hear the bitter man condemning them? 🤔.

21 Feb 2020 10:12:59
He has now changed his tweet this morning, he said congratulations on rangers comeback and winning the europa league, referring to the celebration of coming from 2-0 down, like I said he has changed his tweet now but it took him until this morning to notice his ‘Mistake’, we all know what he meant.

21 Feb 2020 10:36:10
He tweeted "well done to rangers on a superb comeback and winning the Europa League"

21 Feb 2020 10:58:59
A total irrelevance.

21 Feb 2020 10:53:27
I’m not a bigot in any way shape or form, but I hate that man with a passion

Like you say bitter twisted individual, for a nation trying to stamp out the bigotry and trying to lead by example for the young players and young supporters why this man gets a voice on national television and in Marquinho newspapers is beyond me

I can’t say more than a horrible horrible man and his family must be so proud of you chris Sutton 😳.

21 Feb 2020 11:55:40
Don’t give him the attention. That’s all he wants. He’s not worth it.

21 Feb 2020 15:16:08
Forfarbear, big chrissie is still ragein that the famous glasgow rangers never looked at him, he would have loved to had rangers fc on his c. v mate, yae hear it in his voice. lol. big chrissie bhoy.

21 Feb 2020 18:31:55
Aye your right Paulellen, also still raging at helicopter Sunday tae! 🤣.

22 Feb 2020 11:03:36
Wasn’t so long ago Celtic we’re doing laps of honour for winning the first old firm game of the season like they just won the club World Cup 😂😆😂.

21 Feb 2020 09:14:53
Why is the return game on Wednesday at 5 and not on the usual Thursday?
Anyone know?
Thanks.

21 Feb 2020 09:33:09
Because Porto playing at home that night. Uefa didn't want two sides so closely situated playing on same night (4 sets of fans) . Seems mental considering its 34 miles away however assuming its due to the aiport.

21 Feb 2020 09:46:33
Why porto game not on wednesday then😂.

21 Feb 2020 11:23:50
Prob because they came out the pot first. That would be an educated guess on my part.

21 Feb 2020 14:43:06
Because Porto are higher ranked tilla die.

21 Feb 2020 09:09:23
Fantastic fightback and a great win against a very good team. I must admit to being in despair when 2-0 down and I never saw that coming. Get Hagi on a permanent deal now! I'm a great believer in playing players who are in form so the like of Kamara, Davis and Morelos should not be automatic starters right now. Oh, and I see that bitter muppet Sutton is at it again with a sarcastic comment after our win. He really is a twisted creep. The unwashed were fortunate to get a draw with Copenhagen missing a penalty. There's hope for us yet.

21 Feb 2020 09:21:49
It was a fantastic night Doiger. Yes we rode our luck at times but could have scored 6 or 7 ourselves. We might still go out but due to that terrific fightback we now have a chance. Tbh I have stopped reading about or watching anything that failed manager and bankrupt farmer does or says. He is an irrelevance, a dark side puppet, the most hated man in football by all accounts. And one more thing I'd like to say is a big well done to young Joe Aribo. I thought he looked a multi million pound player tonight and his goal was probably the best European goal I've seen from us. He gets plenty of criticism from all quarters, but that display from him last night against a very good European side was superb. Well done guys, I can go into work with a spring in my step after all 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

21 Feb 2020 15:20:33
Seeker, i said the same mate, if luck had been on our side we would have been thru already, lol two of there line, when there keeper didn't know where the ball was, his defenders saved a cricket score,

21 Feb 2020 09:05:06
That was the first loss for the Braga coach. He'd won 9 and drawn one. A great victory for us. A pity about Morelos missing the return match but the yellow was expected. Totally needless and avoidable. I don't think he'll ever learn.

21 Feb 2020 09:19:48
I was sitting there thinking Braga were one of the slickest teams I’d seen at Ibrox. In all fairness we could have took a doing last night. So many of our players off form for best part of an hour. Kamara was awful, Kent looks lost and Davis I’m afraid looks like a 35 year old now.
However the result against that quality has now got to lift our players. Kamberi and Stewart must be given a run in the team. Hopefully this is the catalyst for the rest of the season. Still buzzing!

21 Feb 2020 09:23:11
It was a pity as I thought he played very well. He never gave them a minute's peace, especially in that second half.

21 Feb 2020 13:19:11
Im a massive fan of the manager Braga have brought in they went from really struggling to going on a crazy unbeaten run beating teams like Porto and Benfica, he won their domestic cup as well.

They do set up very well and for 60 mins i thought they were a class above us, but in the end our heart and some individual moments of brilliance (Aribo) paid off.

I think based on performances of late Kamara, Davis, Kent and Morleos should be benched to accommodate the players who are actually putting in performances. Dunno about anyone else but my front three right now would be Stewart, Kamberi and Hagi.

21 Feb 2020 13:55:00
Kyle1872, I agree with your comments. I said that about the front three last night to my son. If we stick with 433 then those are the obvious front three for me, as Kent is a wasted shirt at present. If borna is out then I wonder if we could play 352 with stewart/ kamberi up front. Five in the middle might stop their midfield who swamped us for an hour last night. Kamara is also a nightmare at present, far too slow and caught in possession constantly. It was great to watch the comeback last night, and Hagi's comment afterwards "wow, ibrox " summed it up!

21 Feb 2020 08:53:37
I see the 45 minute Loyal were out in force last night again on here!

Great result for Gerrard and the team.
Hopefully the catalyst for a run of results for the rest of the season.
Great goal by Aribo, the only player in our team who’s capable of creating that chance in such a tight situation.
🔴⚪️🔵.

21 Feb 2020 09:16:33
Every fan had the right to criticise the players and coaching staff after that first 45 mins but the second half was everything they hadn’t been recently. fight, determination, spirt and energy. Outstanding! The subs made a massive impact but MOTM for me was the fans. take a bow. Incredible atmosphere and if players can’t respond to that they shouldn’t be pulling on the jersey. Well done to the coaching staff for making the bold play on the Aribo sub and positioning and to the players for the second half achievements. Hoping that’s us through the loss of form and confidence because they were a very good side. “ Ibrox baby “ did the team proud.

21 Feb 2020 08:43:51
Just watched SG post match Uefa Official press conference. The way he speaks about Joe Aribo is exactly how i see him as a player. I know i defend and stick up for him a lot on here so i'm not getting carried away after one game. Gerrard said that he didn't sulk when he wasnt in the starting 11.

Was positive in the dressing room. Was more than ready to come on when he did. Played in more than one position and didn't sulk or ask questions. He said he was good enough to play in any position on the pitch. This is what I see when i watch him. I don't get the Aribo bashers.

He is only 22 and there is still improvement to come as well which is frightening. One area he could improve on is his tackling. he's a bit soft in the tackle for a guy his size but a class act and Rangers fans should enjoy him whilst we have him because he won't be here long I wouldn't think.

21 Feb 2020 09:07:40
I don't know why people say this Aribo had an outstanding game but only when consistently can you claim for him not to hang around! Rangers are massive and play European football Players if showing a good quality will often get a move to a better league like the EPL and that's fair enough! What I will say, is those players are on a perfect platform to showcase their skills and are at a massive club with some pressures to deliver week in week out! Just want to put it out there, if Rangers were playing in the EPL your Aribos and all the exceptional players would only depart to clubs like your Real Madrids and Barcelonas of the world and maybe Liverpool at the minute Rangers and Celtic would be in your top 6 in terms of stature of support and size of the clubs in the EPL I'm not saying both would finish in the top half of the table with the team inherited but the quality of players coming to both clubs would be better given the better lucrative playground that both teams would be playing in.

21 Feb 2020 10:10:04
I agree Kaz. We wouldn't lose players so easily if we were in a better league and we do provide them with a great platform but the reality is they will go and play in better leagues hence why i say let's enjoy players like him whilst we have them.

21 Feb 2020 13:50:08
We'd get top dollar aswell Instead of looking at 20m plus for Morelos if he were to score 10+ goals in the EPL a Coloumbian international and only just turned 23 You'd be looking at at least 70m for him.

21 Feb 2020 15:28:41
Kaz82, hear, hear mate, we've been shouting for years to get our club down bye, but it won't happen, but yea we would all love to see it.

21 Feb 2020 08:35:11
Great result! Yes we rode our luck big time but at least players should character. I see a lot of criticism for Kamara and I obviously see why but there is a good footballer there who is just badly short of confidence.

I actually think Davis is playing poorly too at the minute you would probably have Aribo, Arfield and Jack in midfield At present this gives us players who are in better form and more attacking. I think Davis and Kamara are good players they just look out of sorts and if all midfielders fit I think these two having a rest is maybe not a bad thing.

I'd also say Kent is a player I still have faith in but probably needs a rest and to play Stewart instead or Kamberi. You can see watching Kamara of late than his first instinct is to play the ball back and to get rid of it quickly.

I liked the Kamara who was brave in position and looked forward we need that player back as he had had some great games in Europe and against Celtic he's just not shown up since the break and seems to have lost confidence.

21 Feb 2020 13:33:03
Davis is class and does certain things other midfielders cannot do. in our team and Kamara is a good player in his own rights aswell He digs in and does the dog work like Jack and Arfield I seen a bit of this from Hagi aswell Totally class! You can't deliver in every game If Kamara did he'd of probably been with Juve by now, if the speculation is true 👍.

21 Feb 2020 13:56:28
There were too many times Kamara got the ball and there was space to turn into and he played backwards or turned backwards. he is a good player way short on confidence. I agree right this minute arfield/ Aribo/ jack mid 3 u til others get back to form. There is an argument for front three being Stewart/ kamberi/ hagi aswell because Kent is not firing on all cylinders and Morelos well I dunno where to go with him he’s back at Pedro Caixinha form.

21 Feb 2020 07:26:06
How long is Hagi on loan to us? and I'm sure there was an option to buy. Take that option right now. don't wait till near the end of the loan. And hands up I put a post on last night when we went 2-0 down wanting Gerrard out. now i've got egg on my face, but it was out of sheer frustration for 70 mins our performance was abysmal. To turn it around like that with a team of that quality well done to Gerrard and the team.

21 Feb 2020 08:34:17
We can’t just shout Gerrard out when we have a bad patch mate, we can’t keep changing managers, Gerrard attracts better players than we can get with most managers, he’s chipping away at getting us back to the top. He makes mistakes most notably with favouritism and bad subs.

tonight however he did not act predictably and it had a massive affect on the team, the Barisic sub was ballsy when he opted not to put Halliday on. and it worked. Gerrard needs to be here as long as it takes.

21 Feb 2020 08:49:51
There's no panic to need to take the option on a permanent deal for hagi,
right now pal! He's with us 'till the end of the season and ain't going anywhere at the minute. We have the option to buy him from genk permanently, in the summer, which i'm sure gerrard will take up! He'll be our player at the end of the season,
so let's sit back and enjoy the talented hagi, mark 2!👏.

21 Feb 2020 09:11:18
We have an option to buy Hagi for 4m I think it would be a good piece of Business and to be honest I think the player and Gheorghe would want the move Rangers are much bigger than Racing Genk and Ianis found himself wanting to play every game which he wasnt always getting there! I think Ianis is enjoying his football and he has awoke 😘.

21 Feb 2020 09:30:47
Let’s hope the desire he has to join Rangers and top performances don’t dry up like Kent’s have now he has his wish and signed for a lot of money.

21 Feb 2020 07:01:15
What a joy it was to see two teams playing a game of football and both trying to win the game . Don't see that much in our league usually us attacking and the other team with 11 men behind the ball.

So delighted for our manager and players

Well done Gerrard for your substitutions

Thought Arfield carried Kamara and Davis last night .

Hagi was 'the spark'

Liked Kamberi with Buff being suspended will he start in Portugal?

21 Feb 2020 08:37:27
To be honest mate I’m glad Morelos is suspended and hopefully kamberi starts. Love the buff but he’s gone back to his older ways of poor form, laziness and petulance. He has no confidence at present and makes poor decisions on the ball. Kamberi is oozing enthusiasm to play for us and has looked good in all his cameos so far. Get him in.

21 Feb 2020 06:30:37
Gutted i had to give my ticket to my brother last night but kids come 1st (youngest wasnt feeling too great yesterday) We well and truly used our get out of jail free card last night 😂 different class after hagi scored. we were unplayable after that.

How good was braga's 1st goal though. absolute screamer. as soon as we went 2 nil down i thought it was going to be a case of damage control, park the bus and don't let them score again.
Then hagi scores a cracker and it seemed to switch a light on and we absolutely battered them after that.

Hagi was again my man of the match. hope we keep him because he's really good.
Morelos again. he's still good at bullying defenders but the chances he missed last night . he wouldve buried them before the break. so unless he's got his boots on the wrong feet then his minds elsewhere (English premiership)
Captain Tav needs to sort they crosses put. some of them last night were shockers.

Kent was decent last night. enjoyed his performance. defence was scary last night at times.
Midfield non existent for a huge portion of that game.
Aribos goal was brilliant.

That last 25 mins is how we should be playing all the time. absolutely loved that. that was rangers showing heart, conviction, strength and everyone of them played for the jersey. if we play like that then no team in the spl will be able to handle us. loved gerrards reaction when we scored our 3rd. if we can play like that the rest of the season we will win the league.

In rangers i trust.

21 Feb 2020 09:17:15
Igglepiggle I wish that were true about winning the League but your depending on a team, who are miles ahead of the rest to drop points, which they don't look like doing! We of course keep on going and hope this can happen The Scottish Cup is a MUST for Gerrard to have a decent season on the domestic front His European record is exceptional!

21 Feb 2020 09:24:39
Current forM Morelos can forget about the English premiership if that’s what’s on his mind. it won’t be happening.

21 Feb 2020 13:37:06
There is more to Morelos's game than just scoring goals He will be missed on Wednesday as he holds the ball up well and brings others into the game Kamberi in his place all day long as he can play on the wing and he gives us pace upfront Quick player for the height of him.

21 Feb 2020 00:03:15
Kri55

It's called frustration -
You look how we played last 25 minutes
If we played like from winter break we would still be sitting point behind in league with the game in hand

Frustration takes over and I like to vent - it's not a crime
I'm still backing the team no matter what I say in daft posts when angry on here lol

If team plays rubbish I'll say there playing rubbish
If they play well I'll say they played well

Same as in my job and anyone elses working. if I have a crap day I'll know about it same as anyone else will be told the same I'm sure

We played like we played before Xmas in last 25 minutes and would be great if we can keep that momentum goig now
If not and we lose or draw our next league match
I'll guarantee I'll be back on here moaning lol

But let's enjoy tonight fantastic result and amazing turnaround
And credit the lads manager and back room staff for turning it around tonight

As I said in earlier post hope to god we can use this to get us going now

Tremendous result and my well deserved beer and whisky going down a treat 😁 👍.

21 Feb 2020 06:43:40
To be involved in those emotions at ibrox last night was absolutely something to behold, so it was! What an atmosphere and what a comeback against a very good braga team.

Gerrard's record in europe is truly stunning and nobody can say different! Been abroad in europe with rangers and been present at ibrox in many a european night and you never forget good european nights on our hallowed turf. That last night fellow bears was without question, one of those nights! The place was rocking and shaking, the way the 'brox should be. Well done steven gerrard and our players and well done us, the incredible rangers supporters. 👍👏.

21 Feb 2020 07:41:44
Good post Stig. I think if he got beat last SG would have been under serious pressure.
However we didnt. How we win though us beyond me but credit to the boys for digging in.

I honestly don't think I've seen a worst performance in the first half from Rangers in my life. Couldn't pass, looked lost and no shape.
As I said hats off to SG for changing things but please now give folk a chance. No Kamara or even Davis for a couple of games. They were awful! I'd play Aribo in that middle.

21 Feb 2020 08:54:28
AS, Stig, last night we did not play badly, we simply were overwhelmed by a fast, technically excellent young team who did not give us a chance to settle.

Kamara was poor, Davis showed his age, Tav was tied up by (possibly) the next Barcelona superstar but we fought back and found a way to deal with their play.

We had less possession but more Corners, more shots, more shots on target and more goals.

If you only want to show support when we are winning and dominating you are not really a supporter.

Try focussing on the positives, get behind the whole club and stop trying to be the one who predicted our downfall.

21 Feb 2020 10:34:41
Savour that win. Braga were superb but the Gers overcame them. Absolutely brilliant. Rangers displays in Europe have been exceptional probably because the opposition try to win which allows us to play.
Think Davis looked jaded and elderly. Kamara a wee bit lost. Might be a wee blessing replacing Morelos for return leg. It'll be hard, too much maybe as Braga are fast and highly skilled.
Full marks to fans last night, ibrox was jumping.
Stay loyal to SG, he's our best option for next 2 years.

21 Feb 2020 11:28:36
Don't worry stig its nothing personal mate lol no hard feelings. I was shouting at the TV all night in frustrations but i don't dive on a forum to post until the fat lady sings as they say. Support the team good bad or ugly and let's see if this result. kicks us on a run.

20 Feb 2020 23:57:56
I was at the Marseille game, 1992/ 3 season where we staged magnificent comeback and that is right up there with that. I'm obviously the lucky charm lol.

I've also been present when we've had some right dooings as well mind you lol.

21 Feb 2020 07:35:51
bang on cletus i was there that night 2 vs marseilles - v similar night

braga are v good outfit we looked dead and burried but in games like that when it’s not going your way against a better team and your loosing you hang on for dear life and keep trying . as you just never know

that lad hagi is some player btw.

21 Feb 2020 08:20:34
That Marseille game was my first european game, was 9 or 10 and had never saw or heard anything like it. My uncle almost in tears when the winner went in.

20 Feb 2020 23:56:00
Got to admit I was gutted with our performance in the first half. Passing and ball retention where terrible. But hats off to the team and gerard for turning it around against the best team we have played this season. Absolutely fantastic result.

20 Feb 2020 23:16:04
Great subs made tonight by the manager kamara had to come off looked like he was having a hard time out there but credit to the guys who came on I thought kamberi was quick and direct and Aribos goal well great composure to find the net.

20 Feb 2020 23:15:01
What an incredible turnaround. Can't believe how good this feels. Ibrox was absolutely bouncing! Great tactics bring Aribo on instead of Halliday. We had a real go after looking dead and buried. This should give us the confidence to kick ourselves out the slump. We have just beaten a very good team and we are absolutely still in this! 🇬🇧🇬🇧.

20 Feb 2020 23:09:04
What a player hagi is going be he is a must for next season miles better than what are getting from kent so far this season.
For me we must look to the foreign market in the summer not english or scottish market for players there is good buys to be had in the foreign market if you look properly.
The atmosphere tonight was electric at ibrox tonight but why is when we seem to play leauge games a lot of time the place is really quite if we got behind the players every game and gave them that backing like tonight i think we would be a lot closer to celtic than we find ourselves now.

20 Feb 2020 23:07:45
McGregor kept us in the tie on a few occasions tonight before the comeback.

For all I've said recently about him, I thought kent worked his socks off and tried ever so hard.

Kamara has had a rough time of it recently. He is looking like a 50k player at the moment but prior to the dip in form, was playing well so we need to get behind him.

Hagi drifted out of game for a spell but all in all was superb. Wee mans a class act.

Aribo tbh has always looked like a promising player and I'm chuffed for him tonight. Does a lot of our supporters not see that his touch and vision is unreal and the ball often sticks to him like glue.

Alf trying too hard now but for someone to suggest that he needs to just go now is absurd, he's still a great striker.

Thought kamberi looked sharp and full of running and deserves a chance now.

All in all what a night and result.

21 Feb 2020 06:48:30
Not a sleight on morelos in the least here, but he should be watching how defoe finishes when through one on one on the keeper. Alfredo goes for power way too often, when a bit of composure and finesse is the answer. He always tries to blast the ball at times, when the decision should be to have composure and pass the ball into the net. Still however rate him very highly!

21 Feb 2020 09:01:48
SGL, I wouldn’t advise Alf to change much about his finishing but someone needs to get inside his brooding head.

On the plus side, hopefully we are more likely to keep him for another season.

20 Feb 2020 23:04:47
I maybe wrong but does tonight's results guarantee cl football for the top 2 in Scotland. Next season.

21 Feb 2020 07:33:45
Not for next season, it will be season 2021/22.

20 Feb 2020 22:56:43
I said the night would bring back the days of Lyon away and change our season, was nearly in tears watching that 2nd half. Thata what we're capable of great to see the gaffer making changes when needed. Starting to feel a wee bit like Manchester.

20 Feb 2020 22:56:31
I am pleased Gerrard decided to go out his comfort zone in 2nd half, regards to changes and tactics. He deserves praise for that. Well done rangers, great last 30 mins.

20 Feb 2020 22:52:55
Great result after that 1st half. A lot of 'fans' asking where the fenians are now at full time, i wonder if they know half the team are catholic?

21 Feb 2020 08:55:46
Marco C, your post is what's wrong in Scottish Football, it's the 21st Century, and this Catholic nonsense has nothing to do with the current Rangers, as has been said, more than half our team are Catholic, so let's cut this out and support our Football Team, be happy guys.

21 Feb 2020 12:00:29
That's exactly what I meant.

21 Feb 2020 15:25:16
Fair point Marco, I misread it mate.
