SG has said about Jamie Murphy getting a run out last game of the season I think that plan will go out the window as last game away to kilmarnock where he picked up the injury thoughts?

22 Apr 2019 08:41:02
Defo not worth risk both physically and psychologically let the boy get a full intensive pre season under his belt like a new signing next season 👍👍.

22 Apr 2019 11:06:56
good shout since Kent looks like he is going back, why then not get murphy up to speed.

21 Apr 2019 19:49:37
The Evening Times are reporting that young Hastie has signed a four year deal. I am surprised that he has done so. I have talked to some that stay in Carfin and know him and all said that they thought he would not sign. However I wish him all the very best and hope he settles in quickly and develops into a super player.

21 Apr 2019 22:21:52
Hasty deal was stepped up as Indications are we have next to no chance of keeping Kent. Liverpool want to sell and if Kent refuses to go they are happy to keep him. The lad wants to play. It’s a no brainier signing Hastie in my opinion and value only going to increase.

22 Apr 2019 01:27:05
Also read Rangers are looking at another Motherwell guy called David Turnbull, what’s the jist on this guy?

22 Apr 2019 06:25:09
David turnbull is another good motherwell young midfielder. Every bit as talented as jake hastie,
perhaps even a better prospect than young hastie, in my eyes.

22 Apr 2019 06:59:12
Ulsterman tuenbull is good, no better that mccrorie or Docherty imo.

22 Apr 2019 08:22:59
I agree with you Jboy21 to an extent mate. We are overloaded with midfielders, but david turnbull is a different type of midfielder to ross mccrorie altogether. Greg docherty i've always liked and most definitely think he has a future with us. So I can see your like for like midfielders between docherty and turnbull mate. Doesn't stop me thinking that young turnbull is a good, young talent though.

22 Apr 2019 08:23:29
I agree Jboy, if either of those 2 had a similar no. Of games to turnbull then they’d have shown the same promise. I do like him as a player but if we are to mount a challenge we will need to improve positions in the team when possible, don’t want a load of sideways step transfers. I’d much rather invest in 2 game changers than have another overhaul of the squad this summer.

22 Apr 2019 08:40:06
Kent and hastie play in two different positions. I can't see how signing hastie will cover kent if he goes. 👍.

22 Apr 2019 12:01:09
I would definitely like us to sign young David Turnbull. Just like Hastie and Middleton he is the perfect age to be coached properly. I think we should be buying young players who show a lot of promise as this is the way forward for us. ONWARDS AND UPWARDS THE FAMOUS.

22 Apr 2019 12:15:50
If Kent stays we will be overloaded with wingers. Murphy Middleton grezda jones candieas Hastieand Kent.

22 Apr 2019 13:37:15
Jaws totally agree. If we play with 5 in the middle their attacking midfielders. If up front attacking wide front men. Their wingers.

22 Apr 2019 17:13:55
" young Turnbull is a good young player " so he is, and younger hastie is most definitely young as well, !

Both future RANGERS captain, so is young Docherty and young goldson, katic and young Jack, all future RANGERS captain most definitely,

Tommy.

21 Apr 2019 19:47:47
It's now these silly point we dropped with draws are coming home to haunt us league was there for us this season only difference is that they a bit more consistent than us its do frustrating 😡😡😡.

21 Apr 2019 22:07:04
And they score late winners for fun
Frustrating doesn't cover it.

22 Apr 2019 00:49:33
If we beat them it would be 3 points between us. imagine the scenes if we beat them at one of and they drew their other 3 games. 1 can dream.

22 Apr 2019 08:22:09
For a new team I feel we have extremely well this season, it takes time for players to gel and read each other on the park. Celtic on the other hand have been a team for years and have not changed their structure or added to the squad too much and are perhaps only going to win the league by a few points. Next Season will be a massive step up on this one for us.

22 Apr 2019 09:06:59
lol east coast mob are still 9 points in front of us.

21 Apr 2019 19:22:23
Motherwell winger jake hastie is signing for rangers on a 3 year deal, with a further 1 year option, this week guys. Rangers have beaten off 4 or 5 english clubs for young hastie's signature. The young man looks a really good prospect. let's welcome him to the rangers family and its really encouraging that we're hoovering up the best scottish talent for rangers. There's talented young players in this country and i'm delighted our club is right in the mix to sign them. Onwards and upwards we go.

21 Apr 2019 20:34:40
We r also after two young Scottish lads, Ruth, winter.

21 Apr 2019 22:24:19
Turnbull is one of the youngsters we are interested in but may be priced out of a move. A few English championship teams willing to pay 1M+.

22 Apr 2019 09:15:22
michael Ruth is a good lad. Be an excellent signing for the academy.

22 Apr 2019 17:15:32
Hoovering up, ? We should sign young Dyson from alloa, a future RANGERS captain

Tommy.

22 Apr 2019 19:40:12
Struth not seen much of Ruth.

21 Apr 2019 19:07:27
Guys, seems there is some confusion on here about fixtures (and Andy Walker) They have Killie at home, then sheep away before coming to Ibrox. We play sheep and hivs and them, all at home. Last game killie away, they play Hearts at the San Giro.

21 Apr 2019 17:12:57
I think Liverpool will let us keep Kent for one more season as only think we can give him that Leeds can't is European football what would increase his value if he plays same as he done this season.

21 Apr 2019 19:22:22
Why can't we buy him 2m per yr for 4x yrs 8m + a sell on fee.

21 Apr 2019 20:36:12
Punter, I Liverpool will agree.

22 Apr 2019 08:32:41
I don’t think he’s worth £8m to be honest, good player but for that kind of money I’d be looking for 15 goals 15 assists minimum form a wide attacker.

21 Apr 2019 17:02:59
Totally agree with steven gerrard, that ryan jack has had a really good season for rangers and in gerrard's assessment, jack has been his most consistent midfielder and again i agree totally. I've continually praised ryan jack on here and have had a tepid response from a good few, who have stated they don't rate jack and what he brings to the midfield table.
My emphatic answer is he brings everything,
a defensive midfielder should bring to the table. He does all the rolled up sleeves,
donkey, dirty work well! Every successful team needs a ryan jack type midfielder. I've also said i see him as a future rangers captain.
He would always have a starting place in the rangers midfield and i'm glad our manager agrees.

21 Apr 2019 17:37:29
Jack has exceeded all expectations this season and I actually think he’s a better ball player than people give him credit for. My gut feel is we need better if we’re to win the league but as a squad player he brings a lot to the table.

21 Apr 2019 18:05:57
Sir Rock

Nope, Jack is first pick. He has enough to get us the league back. Great player.

21 Apr 2019 22:56:36
I agree coops, been different class this year.

22 Apr 2019 08:37:12
I like jack but I don’t think he is top quality, we need better to move to the next level ie titles and qualifying from our group in Europe etc. We definitely have more crucial priorities than his position though.

Generally I feel that we have a lot of good midfielders bu no outstanding ones and we will need at least one outstanding midfielder to win the league and get through in Europe.

22 Apr 2019 12:15:56
Wee bear. Jack wasn't bought to be the outstanding attacking midfielder that opens up play with a pass. He was bought to do the dirty work. Tackle, Break play up and give it to the better players. Lennon, back pass Ferguson all did it to great effect. As you say we need that quality signing in the summer.

21 Apr 2019 16:41:46
Is it wishful thinking that if Kilmarnock can even get a draw next week and we beat Aberdeen then win the old firm it goes down to 4 points. Celtic aren't exactly playing well at all and we are gathering pace fast. Probably just a pipe dream. There's always next season.

21 Apr 2019 16:58:59
I would obviously love it to happen but they’ve only lost 4 all season so that doesn’t exactly give me hope that they’d lose 3 out of the last 4.

21 Apr 2019 17:28:52
It is in the realms of possibility that Kilmarnock can draw or beat celtic next week but not probable. Just have to wait and see what happens. Clark wants the Scotland job but has had way too many rants. Mibbees another wee win against celtic would see him back in the frame - he does want that Scotland job.

21 Apr 2019 21:23:58
True blue, why are you saying Clark wants the Scotland job? Really fail to believe that, he hasn't a good word to say about the SFA. he's linked with the Fulham job, his family still stay down south and he obviously misses them. However i did hear if Kilmarnock were to achieve a place in Europe then maybe he'd stay on.

21 Apr 2019 22:28:20
Clark doesn’t want the Scotland job yet. He will go at end of season back down south to be closer to his family. Scotland job came just too soon after he used sectarian chanting as an excuse to head back down south.

21 Apr 2019 15:00:52
I honestly believe this season was an opportunity lost.

21 Apr 2019 15:21:29
Defo canada bear, they were there for the taking. Over the last few games we have looked more like a rangers team so let's hope we keep the standards up and make a statement in our last games. 👍.

21 Apr 2019 15:26:04
Just need to keep this run of form going and if it means benching Morelos, so be it.

22 Apr 2019 01:25:14
Dead right Canada bear, 3games against hibs, played them off the park but couldn't score, Dundee at ibrox and Kilmarnock, last game against smeltic, Tavernier's cock u the league was there to be one.

21 Apr 2019 14:16:33
3 goals behind now on goal difference----do I hear a helicopter.

21 Apr 2019 14:29:55
Was just thinking that masel lol the panic will be setting in guys.

21 Apr 2019 14:34:41
Their still 9 points ahead tho. Still think it's too much to ask. It's so frustrating how we've shot ourselves in the foot so many times this season as this could have been the year.

21 Apr 2019 15:16:38
Yeah Struth your right, and they could still get 2 crap draws in last four games and win it. Just have to hope they implode and start losing big time. Only hope is Lennon who we all know couldn't run a bath.

21 Apr 2019 15:17:36
Ah well 4 games to go and only 2 can win the league. 3 home games coming up. Remember goals scored is us +5. 😀😀💪.

21 Apr 2019 15:05:12
You're right SS, just wasn’t our year. Read in paper this morning that Hastie was discussing terms with Rangers, just don’t know what the truth is? Have to just wait and see, seemly his parents told him he would be daft not signing for Rangers.

21 Apr 2019 15:34:07
The snag is that Kilmarnock got three men sent off yesterday which means that they will be three first team players short when they meet celtic next week unless Kilmarock appeal them which seems unlikely.

Mind you it's not over till the fat lady sings!

21 Apr 2019 15:43:24
I agree with all of your posts here guys. Of course they were there for the taking, but too many draws and last minute goals against, have killed us. We should all hope wee popcorn teeth gets their manager's job, for next season. If he does i really do fancy our chances for the league title, next season. Just a pity it looks too late for this season.

21 Apr 2019 16:01:12
I also hope Lennon gets the job next season. I think if they bring a new manager in they will have to back him with money. On another note I'm really surprised that there are a lot of posters who don't rate Candias to me the guy gives his all in every game and was involved in all three goals yesterday.

21 Apr 2019 16:13:35
9 points in it. 6 if we beat them at Ibrox. Is it really beyond imagination that they will get beat in 2 of the other 3?

21 Apr 2019 17:09:07
No 99% not, c_of_ibrox, but you just never know in football. We can but dream and hope and pray.

21 Apr 2019 17:42:08
If they keep Lennon or bring in they’re number one choice Micheal O’Neill then we’ve won a watch, Celtic will go backwards with either of them managing them.

21 Apr 2019 22:30:44
Isn’t Benitez their no1 choice?

22 Apr 2019 01:28:40
S_R_K
Don’t underestimate Michael O’Neill he is a very good tactician and a winner, forgetting NI for a moment, he brought Shamrock Rovers to the playoffs in Europe who were partly part time, then his NI wins with average players, he is good.

21 Apr 2019 13:50:38
The obvious question is Morelos or Dafoe but what about Arfield or Morelos and keep Dafoe, I think Morelos could play the role Arfield is executing very well right now, would be interesting to see him working off a striker, might keep him out of trouble.

21 Apr 2019 15:39:39
Nonesense mate, morelos could not play the role arfield does👍.

22 Apr 2019 01:34:41
Morelos could play the role Arfield does.

22 Apr 2019 08:44:36
No he couldn't👍.

22 Apr 2019 11:15:31
Yes he could, infinity +1, Gods power, universe power.

22 Apr 2019 15:50:14
Fair enough mate, hard to trump that😂😂👍.

Former Liverpool Managers - Part 8 - Captain Turned Manager

21 Apr 2019 10:57:12
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Former Liverpool Managers - Part 8 - Captain Turned Manager

21 Apr 2019 10:51:00
Does Souttar sill feature as high on the shopping list after yesterday?
Positioning was not great a few times.

21 Apr 2019 10:23:52
I can't say we are missing Morelos or Kent. Defoe is top class and a cynical finisher. Arfield has been outstanding this season, especially the last few games. Davis is class and has come on to a game now he's fit. Katic is terrific too, shame he wasn't playing earlier in the season. McGregor is top class. Candeias gets unfairly criticised as he works hard. There's a lot to be hopeful about and we certainly don't need to sign the like of Souttar or Stewart. That's 9 goals in the last 3 games with 1 conceded. Now let's stuff the sheep and Hibs at home in the next 2 games. The unwashed might slip up and you never know? Finishing the season on a high will give us a springboard for next season. Too many negative whingers on here (Arthur D) .

21 Apr 2019 10:47:12
Go on doiger call him a tim😂. The last two games we look more like a rangers team and we need to show in the next few games that we have what it takes. But overall the season has been a huge let down👍.

21 Apr 2019 10:49:15
Spot on mate, well said.

21 Apr 2019 11:03:30
Doiger - SPOT ON mate - could not have put that any better myself. tried it yesterday but it fell on deaf ears.

With Arfield, Kamara, Davis and Jack starting to gel and Katic finding his mojo along with Defoe getting used to the style of play up here - Candeis is a talent and has some sublime football craft at times and I haven't even mentioned Kent or Morelos!

The future is bright, the future is Orange!

21 Apr 2019 11:35:00
we aren’t missing kent or morelos . hang on

i agree we've played well last 3 games but it’s worst hearts team i’ve seen for years

few years ago under nielston hearts gave us a few doings at tynecastle - they are utter pony just now

morelos has disciplinary issues as i’ve stated on here before and kent can be inconsistent but both are young and in their day they make us better - goals and assists from
both this season have been vital for us

we’ve had he haw wins against sheep hivs and killie this season so wee bit perspective guys - i hope both
players stay

just my opinion.

21 Apr 2019 11:37:27
Always had my doubts as to whether Morelos was more of a hindrance than a help Doiger.

Full credit to him for his goal tally but the red card tally detracts from that in my opinion.

Should we end the season the way we are going in the last weeks without Morelos, I would be convinced he has been more of a hindrance than a help this season.

Lets hope should he still be here next season he gets his act together and makes himself a target for top EPL clubs where we can cash in on him.

21 Apr 2019 12:45:20
I'm going to stick my head above the parapet by saying that imo Greg Stewart would do very well in our squad/ team. I think the lad gets unfairly criticised and in a better side with an attacking philosophy like ours he would set up a stack of chances. Great left peg, doesn't panic in possession, and Rangers through and through, I think it is a no brainer.

21 Apr 2019 12:45:48
Commentary from yesterday said Candeias hasn't scored in 21 games!

Personally really like him but has to contribute more. When compared to Forrest, well there isn't any comparison.

Kent isn't much better.

Both of them are good footballers, but the attacking 3 really need to be influencing the games more.

The odd game here and there is fine if you want to always come second or third, but to win the league we need them to perform week in week out, same for the rest of the team.

Hopefully a good transfer market to come and we can push on again.!

21 Apr 2019 14:14:05
agree too, what is it with some of our? posters on here? we have 3 good wins in a row and all we hear is it was a poor hearts team or Motherwell were rubbish. well fellow bears maybe its because we made them look poor hearts are in the cup final we are not! give some credit where its due fellow bears?!

21 Apr 2019 15:23:29
Motherwell was a great win against an in form side. No one can discredit that. But Hearts have been absolutely horrible against Rangers this season, and yesterday was the worst one yet. Hard to take results against them seriously. Wait till we do the same against the final four - that's when you can really compliment the performances if they sustain like this. As for hearts in the cup final, didn't they get there against a championship team?

21 Apr 2019 15:45:22
The future is bright"THE FUTURE IS STEVEN GERRARD"!

21 Apr 2019 16:04:36
Trev 7
Killie 1 Rangers 3
Rangers 5 killie 0
Aberdeen 2 Rangers 4
Only hibs we have not beaten this season.

21 Apr 2019 16:36:33
Jboy, both killie wins were in the cup and the 5 nil was against 10 men for 3 qtrs of the game👍. We beat aberdeen once out of 6 games. Our results against the top spl sides have been nowhere near good enough👍.

21 Apr 2019 19:06:18
Coldo that was not what trev was saying, he states we did not beat hibs, Aberdeen or killie. I'm simply pointing out he is wrong.

22 Apr 2019 09:22:09
Jboy I think you are missing his point and taking it as matter of fact rather than that we have struggled massively against these teams👍.

22 Apr 2019 19:42:46
Coldo, trev was stating his factual opinion
This is where we must improve next season,

21 Apr 2019 10:09:03
Reading in the papers that Lukaku is up for sale, wonder if they would be interested in swap deal with Morelos? lol.

21 Apr 2019 11:30:57
You're not fooling anyone coop😁😉👍.

21 Apr 2019 15:48:50
Coldo my good friend, if you think that's me, then True Blue has clearly fooled you. I can't take the accolades for that. Honestly mate i only post under myself ie. supercoopereleven.

21 Apr 2019 16:30:05
You're not fooling anyone true blue😁😉👍.

21 Apr 2019 18:37:22
Haha coldo, quality mate 😂😂.

21 Apr 2019 19:32:23
SC11?

Really don’t know why coldo thinks we are one and the same? Does make think though that perhaps that is what he has done, to think like that.

Whatever rocks his boat 😎😎😎.

22 Apr 2019 09:18:55
Good effort, a bit of reverse pyschology there 👏😉😂👍.
