Excellent post Delano, also if you look at under 21,19, 17 we have another 15 players getting called up primarily by Scotland, NI.
It’s how we bring some off them through to first team squad. Guys like mccrorie, Kelly, maxwell, Mayo, king, Graham et al.

That's leaving out qaylity like balogun, airfield, hagi, zunga, Defoe, itten, roofe, this is as strong a squad quality wise since advocaat was throwing money about exciting times.

Think i'd have roofe that side before aribo. Also seems crazy to leave out arfield. We don't have a strongest 11 at the moment. More like a strongest 14 as we are equally as strong with some of the players you have left out in the side if u get me.

I agree Arfield has played great and brings a lot to the team but I think Aribo is equally as valuable. He will be a big player for us now he is fit again you don’t seem to rate him Coldo watch him play a big part for us moving forward. If Roofe regains his fitness I think there is a good chance he would start before Morelos but great to have all these options 😀.

Arfield is an old school midfielder. Indistrius and makes runs beyond. He is pure quality. I love jack but ATM how we are playing.

I'm surprised a couple of you have said Roofe is in our best 11. he's scored a couple of goals but his general play has been fairly poor. i'm not saying he's a bad player and I certainly hope he becomes a great player but hasn't shown anything that merits being in our best 11 yet.

On the other points its Arfield ahead of Jack for me at the moment on form and I agree Arfield is definitely not a RW. He is better in the midfield 3 and making his late runs.

Aribo oozes class and is going to be a major part of what we do well going forward.

Great squad, great options. Its been a long time since we've had this good a squad. Long may it continue.

Got to remember we’re a selling club and likes of Hagi and Aribo will play most of time to polish up they’re game as they are rough diamonds in a way.

Ingerrardwetrust that's almost my best 11 just now on form. I would put Arfield in ahead of Aribo at the moment just based on how well we've played recently but I have no doubt that Jack and Aribo can come in and do a great job. Zungu is an unknown just now but hopefully he features in conversations like these soon enough.

Cpgrumpy, everyone can see Aribo is a player, you would need to be blind not to see that, and nobody said he is not a very good player, imo a fantastic talent, just a very difficult guy to place,
He tends tto dribble across the park and the rest of the side pull back when they should be going forward, paddy McCourt was another difficult guy to place, in that he couldn’t keep up with his teammates but he could tie your legs in knots in a phone box
History is littered with wonderful talent th Just couldn’t fit in, now like I said it’s just my opinion but it’s borne of seeing it happen. Let’s hope joe finds his way in the side.

I think people forget how good Aribo was in pre season and at the start of this campaign when the team was also playing very well. I really like both Arfield and Aribo in the team but we are going to have a load of games this season and both could end up with 30+ appearances.

I think in another OST I sad the team that beat Celtic is the 11 for now. Inc Arfield, apart far Hagi n for barker. Until injury fatigue dip in form those players have the jersey. It’s then up to you’re jack Aribo Zungu Itten Roofe Balogun to take there chance and run with it. Similar to what Jono done pre season. We now have 2 number 1s not a back up.

The beauty about this squad that Gerrard has built it we can swap players in and out and not be weaker.

Balogun/ Helander/ Katic. either of them can partner Goldson and I wouldn't complain.

Davis/ Kamara/ Jack/ Arfield/ Aribo. any of those 3 in the midfield in any combination again no complaint. of course still to add Zungu into that mix also.

as for the front 3 obviously Kent is first name on team sheet but outside of that there is Hagi/ Jones/ Roofe/ Morelos/ Itten.

SG has built a Squad to battle on all fronts, not only battle but to win on all fronts.

At the start of the season aribo played 3 games, we won all 3. Scoring 7 goals (aribo scored 1)
No goals conceded.
The suggestion rangers were playing sh*t at the start of the season (when Aribo was playing) is simply wrong.
The team has has been playing well all season.

Like it or not, there are other opinions and we are all allowed to debate and disagree.

My issue (and that of many others) is that if you claim to support the club you should support.

Support in my book is not a love in where our players or manager can do no wrong or are above criticism but equally, support is not giving up the league after 6 games, calling for the manager to be sacked or describing a player as a waste of a shirt.

Balance, the ability to rationalise and a view based on the 21st century realist is essential to having a grown up debate.

How many called for Tav to lose the captaincy? I defended him not on the basis that I am the world expert of football but because our manager trusted him and could see his talent even though many on here could not. Same with many others.

I don't quite get Barker but SG clearly sees something so I don't call for him to be banished in favour of Jones (who is apparently not favoured by the manager at the moment) .

Just managed to get back posting again, had a wee glitch in the system. What a great 1st Qtr to the season, let's keep it going folks, and let's not mention the other mob, it doesn't matter a jot now what they do, we're in the driving seat, just want the team to remain focussed on every game now, looking forward to another great game against a good team on Thursday Evening.

My only concern is that Gerrard reverts to type and play's Aribo. Aribo is far too slow at moving the ball and doesn't make the runs Arfield does. He's just not the type of player we need in that role. He's not the holding mid of the quality of Kamara and Davis either. If Zungu is exactly the hype we have heard I just don't see where aribo fits in. 👍.

I know you're not his biggest fan coldo, but I think Aribo is a cracking player with bags of potential. Would I change the midfield we have just now to accommodate him? No, even though I rate him very highly.
If there's ever a good headache for our manager to have, this is it - some midfield we have to choose from.

His defensive discipline and tactical awareness aren’t always great. I think he’s best suite to a number 10 role, prerhs Aribo and Hagi can contest the righ handside no10 when he’s fir to go. Agree our midfield option are very good as is the whole squad. We have quality in reserve.

I'm not saying aribo is a bad player. He's just not what we need. Does aribo playing in the holding role before jack davis kamara? No. Does aribo playing in the attacking role before arfield? No. Is aribo as effective at supporting the striker or making the defence splitting run we need in the attacking role? No. He plays infront of teams and this is why we would be too flat with him in the team.

Tex that mid 3 would be far too flat. 👍

I know its about having a squad john👍, but tell what aribo brings to the way we play just now? He hinders it because he is not a holding mid and he's not the attacking mid we need. His injury and jacks were a blessing in disguise. 👍.

Aribo is different class and offers that little bit extra by being able to unlock a tight defence with a pass or mazy run. 👍.

One minute we have people slamming the manager for not adapting the team, formation or tactics for different scenarios and the next saying we shouldn't be changing the personnel!

If we play the same tactics every game we will get found out and teams will alter their tactics to halt ours.

I'm pretty sure that SG knows what he is doing, the team are more tactically aware and as an ex-pro said in the media - Rangers are the best coached team in Scotland.

The 1-2s and link up was Hagi and Kent from Aribo was looking something special before injury. He’s a starter when fir with Arfield as back up. Right now the team from Sunday have the jersey and rightly so. Apart far barker.

We are done it was Alfie, Kent’s numbers got the boy slaughtered haggis rubbish but he had7 assists and a goal in 8 matches. A precedent was set last season when they handed the unwashed the league title with 9 games to go. If a similar scenario was to be faced this season then I'm sure the courts might be asked to decide on legal precedent should the SPFL decide anything than awarding the title to the league leaders at the time.

They are so corrupt that I'm sure they would do anything and everything to avoid crowning Rangers champions. Let's hope it doesn't come to that - we don't want a tainted title. Let's hope we get the chance to do it in style.
