Giving a poor result today did we need to embarrass ourself by putting in a complaint against hearts saying they heard racist chants to morelos giving the songs we sing it will open a can of worms. sorry lads that was embarrassing 100% against these chants but let's not use this as an excuse for today.

Felt we should have won today, even though we were poor apart from maybe S Davis.

We missed R Jack, even though Morelos scored he did not play very well, but he is still the best striker in Scotland, his goal tally will prove that.

Hearts played better than I thought they would or was it because we were that bad.
Another bad mistake from our so called captain, new captain needed.

But we battle on, can't play that poor again.

you could see Morelos getting frustrated by the lack of service. the crosses and feed to him was shocking today. you have to have the ball to score. i was surprised that our subs took so long. arfield was slow and ragged and should have been subbed as well as Ojo nearer to the half time period to allow the subs to try make a difference.

Reading all these excuses about internationals, etc. The reality of the situation is that Rangers are not as strong as Celtic, individually or collectively. RFC have played a lot of home games so far and as soon as a challenge presented itself away from home, they blew it against a team in the relegation zone. The midfield lacks any creativity and they rely on Morelos too often. Tynecastle takes width out of the game, so Arfield and Aribo had to make things happen - they never managed it and Ojo is not good enough. The centre halves are out of sync and don’t look like a good partnership, Katic is all over the place, for me - lacks composure. Celtic tend to have a strong 2nd half of the season, so RFC need a strong 1st half and it doesn’t look like that will happen. There’s no stopping 9, IMHO.

Hearts were 11th this morning mate. We’ve been to Ibrox and won comfortably and we wiped the floor with a top 6 side yesterday. We’ve had 2 blips, but we’ve played more away games and from what I watched yesterday and what I watched today, Celtic are the side that look more like champions.

There’s a lot of people on here slagging Tav (and rightly so) but where are all the people who have spent the last twelve month on here saying he’s a £25m player. Best right back in Britain. I actually remember a very predominant poster on here comparing him to Wan Bissaka? When people question why Celtic got £25m for Teirney and we can’t get that for Tav then please think back to his performances over the last month and the old firm last year. He’s a £3/ £4m player at best and as I always say, he’ll win us more games than he loses.

SRK, i will hold my hands up and say we shouldn't sell tav for any less than between £10million-£12million.
I also said that if wan bissaka can go for the sort of money he went to man utd for then in this modern day transfer market, tav should be going for no less than i stated above. I didn't at any time say tav was better than wan bissaka. Having said that i do admit that tav is at this moment in time playing poorly and gerrard shouldn't guarantee ANY of a players, a starting slot week in week out!

There's no doubt our centre halfs struggle with big physical strikers. Our centre halfs have struggled with lyndon dykes, big ikpeazu and apart from one game big cosgrove of the sheep. Says it all.

First post, apologies if offending. Tav does need resting but maybe replacing by someone who can defend. Arfield never looks a threat when in on goal, never expect a result he's a yard slow, tho does put in a shift. Ojo. surely now Kent hitting fitness we will not need to suffer this waste of a position any longer. Davis. Southampton must have best midfield in GB to not need him. Overall think we came a long way in short time. Look at league at present, we caught up wi them, on the field play better football than them. Two year ago would rip your hand off to be here. 55 is coming and we are going to dominate for years.

Welcome No far away, spot on my friend, too many people have buried their heads in the sand with Tavernier, he is costing us big time, Arfield to be fair hasn't had any time off since last season because of hi Canadian exploits, so a rest is needed there. Play Stewart in a few games now, and, I think we'll see some positive signs. Ojo is too much of an enigma for me, now that Kent is fit, he should start before him.

It's just a given now that ojo is mince. Others were poor, particularly Tav, Aribo and Kamara.

Stewart has been magic whenever he's played so how can he not be a starter?

Arfield and Aribo looked out of sorts. Internationals taking their toll? Isn't that why we have such a big squad?

So many negatives today. I love SG but it's another case of lessons learned. Also, how often do we play well without Ryan Jack? Almost never I'd say.

Most of us were in agreement coming away from tynecastle this afternoon,
that our midfield does badly miss ryan jack, especially in physical games like today, in places like tynecastle. For the record i personally thought steven davis was our best player in the second half.
Davo and jack are superb together and i honestly thought we looked very light in the midfield area, in the absence of jacko. He gives our midfield bite and balance and like i have stated many times, he's the next rangers captain in the making.
Being totally honest it was another missed chance by us, with far too many of our players, putting in a low quality, very mediocre performance. Their big striker ikpeazu had our defenders rattled.
We never done near enough to win the 3 points this afternoon. Very disappointed indeed. Coldo's correct because all decent in flashes in certain games, i don't think ojo should be a first pick regular, in our starting 11.I would rather play greg stewart and without a doubt ryan kent is miles better than ojo.
Anyone who thinks otherwise has their head in the sand.

Man we are frustrating! Tav does need dropped, not only as a boot up the hole but a warning shot to others who under perform. I also think he should never play in defence again, move him up to MF.
Arfield needs a rest.
Kamara just not the same player as last year, perhaps his honeymoon period is over and this is the real Kamara, although I think its the defensive style he is being asked to play, for Finalnd I read he is more attacking, that would be nice, an attacking midfielder through the middle. I know we have a few but being sarcastic as I think our 3 CM formation is too cautious.
Thought big Katic did pretty well against the big Striker considering how fired up the striker was and we couldn't get to the same level.
Hearts played the same way as Killie and Aberdeen did last year. Fired up, aggresive pressing and got the early goal then stopped us from playing our game.
I'm disappointed but not the end of the league, more points will be dropped by both us and them along the way.
SG needs to get a bit more ballsy with team selection. Drop his favourites when they are not playing upto standard. we have a big enough squad!

IMO when we are playing a physical type of team who are fighting for there lives like Heart then we should match up with a physical side. When I seen the line up I thought our midfield would not be very effective and would struggle to supply dangerously throughout the game. In the end we went round the sides but our crossing was terrible today. Aribo was like a man short, not suited to this type of game at the moment. Tav had a poor game and made one mistake however where were the midfield in the second phase to stop the Hearts player having a lob into an empty net, really sloppy performance overall. These international breaks seem to be stopping our momentum.

Thought Aribo improved today, he was looking for the ball and running with it, he did fade away although but overall not good enough for a team wanting to win the league.
Agree with the physical game, I wouldn't have played him today going by his recent for for us.
Tav should be dropped but SG wont, if fit he will play, same with Arfield.

Ok, disappointing result today. Katic should have won the intial header for their goal, Tav's setpeices in the whole game was shocking - reminds me of the OF game at Ibrox last Dec when we beat them 1-0, Tav was taken off all set pieces and handed to Halliday. However, we are still level with them on points and goal difference. However, all I've read since the Accies game was we're top of the league and we're there to stay, 55 this season etc etc. First game back and we're now back to 2nd - we did and said the same things last season when we went into the winter break level with them and then screwed it all up in Jan. Let's not set ourselves up to be ridiculed by them and the media, yes, be confident, but we seem to constantly come out with this stuff.

Katic should have but its one long ball and he defended the rest fine. Ikpeazu is a heavy player and is tough for anyone to defend. Goldson didn't go near him the whole game. Katic was up for it but is mismatched weight wise. Would have been interesting to see Edmunston matched against him, and I think he would have destroyed Helander. I still think it was our midfield that stifled our attack, we didn't pressure that defence on the counter attack at all. A draw is what we deserved and we're lucky that corner kick ended up on Morelos' foot or we would have dropped 3points today.

What an absolutely dreary game. 90 minutes wasted today.

The defending was fine after the goal. But attacking from the midfield. It was Tav Morelos Barisic or bust. There was no danger at all from the top of the box. To be honest I don't think we completed more than three passes at a time in Hearts' end the whole game.

Every player lays an egg like Tav did on the first goal. It happens. If there's a criticism of him today, it would be because his crosses and free kicks were terrible. Arfield should not have been playing, he had a monster game against the americans midweek and flying halfway around the world messes you up. Aribo and Ojo were no shows.

I have never seen the hype surrounding Aribo. We are weaker with him in the team. We have been punishing teams 5 nil since he was out. This team continually let us down in the games that matter and when the heat is on. That should be a big concern. Totally heartless today from the whole team!

What a terrible start. The team didn't respect Hearts' energy and pace. The game has settled and our skill is showing but the pace is too slow and Hearts can recover from being caught out.

Ojo again is not interested. Arfield had to run across the field and strip the ball of 17yr old hickey. When Ojo was in front of Hickey the whole time.

Further on Hickey. Yeah it's great that a 17year old is playing top level scottish football but he's been overwhelmed in this game. Are hearts playing him because they have no one else for right back?
