What has happened to MOH everything seems to have gone quiet surrounding him. I think he deserves the chance against them on Sunday especially for his pace, getting to the by-line and getting crosses in as I'm sure that's why we pursued him last season. He didn't even feature as sub last week. Is there something going on behind the scenes as not even heard his name mentioned in posts from Warbs lately and surely he should be given his chance. Any thoughts on this bears. I just hope Kiernans not playing as that is a bombscare it's like giving the opposition a goal of a start in every game.

20 Oct 2016 22:23:46
Who do we drop? To pick ohalleran we have to drop someone!? What has he done to merit being in squad before anyone else. Keirnan kept clean sheet in last match he played so can't ask for much more yes he's had howlers in past but we can only pick from who we have and if warbs plays keirnan before senderos then he must be training better. Just everyone start roaring the players on and give them that little bit extra that can be the difference in big games.

20 Oct 2016 22:57:54
MW sees something in RK, what I'm not sure, and like it or not he will play. He's not going to play Senderos and Hill is he? Regardless of the outcome it will be better than last time around and all of our CBs are capable of putting in a big performance so whoever plays we get behind.

20 Oct 2016 23:18:21
You have to assume MOH's not exactly lighting up training. He lacks a footballing brain and struggles to play with his head up which is pretty important to the style of play! Also seems overwhelmed at times and I don't see the pure will and determination to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and be a winner. It's all a bit too 'happy to be here' for me and that's not going to win us anything! Something similar with McKay imo except he has far more ability than MOH.

20 Oct 2016 22:50:22
Nic 861,

The only reason we kept a clean sheet against Inverness was down to their appalling finishing. Twice Kiernan lost his man and luckily they didn't capitalise. If Kiernan plays on Sunday we are asking for trouble and could be on the receiving end of another hiding.

21 Oct 2016 08:22:57
Hes not great but he's in a gers shirt so people need to get off his back and encourage him! We have limitations in that position and wether people like it or not we must play 2 of hill rob or senderos so regardless of which two it is we are weak at center half but with a good attitude and some grit and determination we can get a result.

21 Oct 2016 09:40:18
sorry but why give him the chance in our biggest game in 4 years?

21 Oct 2016 10:51:05
No chance of featuring in the starting lineup although I can see after Celtic's defeat on Wednesday where the OP is coming from. Pace really does trouble them.

Would rather like to see him having a go at Toure although I could see Rodgers resting Toure and bringing in Simonovic.

21 Oct 2016 12:37:19
It wasnt just pace that bothered celtic is was class it was quality opposition it's was technically gifted players something this rangers don't have 🍀.

21 Oct 2016 15:07:28
Sorry MOH has and never will be good enough. He was a good player for st johnston but not for us.

20 Oct 2016 18:09:37
One of the most debates on here is should our undoubtedly most naturally talented gifted midfielder, niko kranjcar start against celtic on sunday or not. We are practically all in agreement that it will be holt, halliday and one other. There's not a doubt now that kranjcar is much fitter now and of course if he's 100% fit his talent will take care of the rest. I would like to start a wee bit of banter and debate on here amongst all us rangers fans. Should our most gifted midfielder niko kranjcar start against celtic on sunday or not? Should be interesting!

20 Oct 2016 19:22:26
Supercooper
Part of me would love him to start and to dictate the play from midfield. He seems a lot fitter than a month ago and won the ball back quite a few times against ICT but his inherent lack of pace still worries me. They have lots of pace in their team and if they start fast the game may be away from us very quickly so I think I might want to bring him on with 20-25 to go (hoping we're still in it) and he can take control and win us the game! (I can dream anyway) . Would probably start Windass for his pace and energy instead. Wouldn't complain if big Niko did start though and that wouldn't worry me near as much as Kiernan and Hill starting in defence.

20 Oct 2016 19:39:32
Windass for me if he's fit. Done well In previous old firm game. Would do well with holt and haliday beside him. When is rossiter back.

20 Oct 2016 20:41:03
Would like rossiter to start.

20 Oct 2016 22:28:57
I've got no concerns about Niko starting. As someone said he's looking fitter. I think it was obvious at the start of the season that Niko and Barton wouldn't work in a 3 man midfield. Not enough legs with both but with Halliday and Holt/ Windass in there I think we can afford to play him. Totally agree with the previous post about Kiernan as well. Wilson, Hill and Senderos have all looked poor whenever they partner Kiernan. He's the common denominator and was lucky not to cost us a goal against Caley. Hill looked instantly better beside Wilson. I'd like to see Wilson and Senderos start to give us balance. Any combination without Kiernan would do lovely.

20 Oct 2016 22:29:03
Should start niko, but i'd sacrifice a wide player for him and keep 3 midfielders! Slight change of system but its the way to go imo!

20 Oct 2016 22:37:14
Niko will start! The Inverness game was his best performance yet, he has class and can win a game from nothing but he also won back possession more than Holt or Halliday combined and dominated the midfield. If we stand any chance of winning on Sunday we need his quality for 90 minutes as he's our best footballer by a country mile! Unless MW is using plan b, we'll be attempting to control the ball and play football so why would you leave out your best footballer? No debate necessary :)

20 Oct 2016 23:26:22
No, haliday holt and forrester. forrester has more drive to go by a player where as krancaer is not.

20 Oct 2016 23:59:06
Niko is getting sharper and looks dangerous with his passing and vision and I too wouldn't complain too much if he started on current form. Was really disappointed in the last old firm when him and Barton started because I've said a thousand times the midfield was slowing the pace down but I've got to go with windass. He's going to be a real find.

21 Oct 2016 00:43:17
Supercooper , i just seen it on the dtbs that niko could be out for the season, twisted his knee in training, its bad enough hit happening in the first, but nico was getting fitter and really coming on to his game, let's hope is not as bad as thought.

21 Oct 2016 14:19:10
Hopefully a twisted knee won't put him out for the season, but will still be 6 weeks or more I would think. As long as it's not cruciate ligaments.

21 Oct 2016 15:57:00
Guys Niko's not playing he'got a knee injury from training, happened on Tuesday.

22 Oct 2016 22:49:54
Joscro , the club are thinking nico will be out for a couple of month, add to that his recouperation from injury, add that to him getting back to fittnes, and then him getting match fittness even to the stage he was at (he wasnt fully fit yet) and ide imagine his season is over, or just about over, i hope ime wrong on that,

20 Oct 2016 16:10:10
You know that feeling you get when you're geared up to watch the old firm with yer pals and it's all planned out but then one by one they get tickets and then yer left sitting by yerself, feeling like a right tool?

Hate that.

Just happened to me.

If White Lightning did Old Firms, they'd probably be the worst old firms in the world.

20 Oct 2016 16:40:32
at least you won't be working till 1 and In a rush to make it to the pub!

20 Oct 2016 17:04:54
quality post mate.

20 Oct 2016 17:23:29
Monty, if they were real pals, one of them should give you their ticket, lol.

20 Oct 2016 17:40:24
Jaws more chance of MW playing a 442.

It's the only year I never ticked semi final and final box. Just had a baby and couldn't justify it. On that note, anybody want a wean?

20 Oct 2016 19:27:45
If i watch it on tele i prefer watching it myself, i know i'm a bloody weirdo but i get to uptight watching it with others.

20 Oct 2016 21:12:01
Me too mate Mrs goes off her nut because I imaginary kick n header every ball lol and I'm a nervous wreck all day before it she just doesn't get it lol.

20 Oct 2016 21:14:57
Be confident guys, we are building confidence. Niko should play from the start as I don't think he is an impact player to come on on 60 mins. Halliday will be the difference on Sunday. I do think that they will score as I believe our defence is still our weekness. Having said that I'm sure we can truly win on Sunday.

20 Oct 2016 13:51:48
It's getting close again.
Personally I feel we have a more than decent chance guys despite all the negativity it's worth remembering we have only lost away to them and the sheep all season.
We are starting to Gel and the return of Holt adding steel to our midfield along with Halliday has been pleasing, our main problems have been converting chances but we are getting there.
Remember they have a terrible record at Hampden with the majority of the current squad, we will be fresher and keen to make up for horror show lto, i'm going for a 2-1 win.
The team I think Warbs will play is:
Fods just ahead of cup Keeper Gilks
Back 4 of Waldo, Wilson, Kiernan and Tav
Midfield of Holt, Halliday and Krancjar and McKay, a Miller and Waghorn up top.
Team I would pick personally would be:
Fod, Waldo, Wilson, Hill and Tav
Rossiter or Windass plus Holt and Halliday
McKay, a Miller and MOH.

20 Oct 2016 15:09:04
waggy shouldn't be anywhere near the starting 11.
id rather we play moh tomorrow and give him a shout with his pace and see what he can do if nothing in the first half then bring on forrester in the second! or the other way around.

20 Oct 2016 15:55:37
No Waggers but i'm assuming McKay makes your team? Both have been poor in recent games.

20 Oct 2016 17:06:29
Wilson is injured. Although that's not the only issue, they are miles ahead. Let's stop kidding.

Anything can happen in a one off game and I do think it will be more of a game this time, but can't see is winning. No matter how hard I try.

Ps my money is on Torre man of the match, always the way in football.

20 Oct 2016 17:37:26
Listen guys, we all know celtic are rightly big favourites and should win but I've witnessed over many years of watching rangers, that it doesn't always pan out like that. So let's get behind the glasgow rangers and see where it takes us. I'm fortunate to be going to hampden on sunday and will be getting right behind the bears! let's give it our all and leave everything on that park, they're not real madrid or barca. I do think we'll see a massive improvement in us, to when we played them in september. All we can ask our team is give it everything and what will be, will be. I'm certainly not ruling it out that we can beat them! COMMON THE TEDDY BEARS!

20 Oct 2016 17:58:12
Waggy deserves his chance after missing out last 2 old firms .2-1 gers hallidays n waggy goals.

20 Oct 2016 19:31:29
Ive never bn a MOH fan but if ever ther was a game to play him its this 1,theres going to be times when we're under the cosh and he could b the perfect outball,

20 Oct 2016 20:23:55
Bluedie, that is a cracking shout mate. MOH is so suited to the kind of game this is most likely going to be on sunday. The out ball is perfect for moh's game as we all know that we'll be under a fair bit of pressure at times, from them on sunday. This then would be a game tailor made for moh. Need any reminding bears? Well just think back to when he ripped us apart playing for St. johnstone in the league cup last season. This could be his type of game. Got me thinking bluedie. I actually know some of his family and he's a bit miffed and disappointed by not getting a chance and run of games. Honestly guys he's desparate to being a success with rangers and still talks highly of rangers. He's desparate to be a first team regular with us! Remember i was the poster on here way back in august last year who told everyone on here he was going to be signing with us in january and that it was only down to the clubs agreeing the fee. Michael's a great lad and really good player imo with a very nice, supporting family behind him!

20 Oct 2016 21:14:37
U still going on about that lol.

20 Oct 2016 21:59:36
Yes bigblue ayr, it was my claim to fame. lol.

20 Oct 2016 22:06:34
Big blue Ayr
I agree with you :
Warburton 15 or Supercooper 11 will have that on his grave stone
I Told You About MOH
As the song says in Frozen Let it Go!

21 oct 2016 04:49:46
it could be the making of him supercoop because the boys in desperate need of a confidence boost and hopefully this could be it. on another note i absolutely love our king kenny and imo should definitely start but not in a million years at wide right, leave that for moh to try and keep wee tierny hemmed in abit because he's a big part of there attacking play. come on bears 🙏.

20 Oct 2016 23:54:38
Celtic have been found out in Europe and as happens with Brenda's teams the wheels tend to come off. They've had a surge in form when he arrived plus Sinclair and Dembele but that European defeat will dent their confidence.

We're slowly getting better. I just wish Warburton would give (when fit) the like of Windass a run in the team. I don't know who's fit and who isn't, but my starting XI for Sunday would be (4-3-3 as that's what he plays) :

Foderingham; Tavernier, Wilson, Hill, Wallace; Halliday, Kranjcar, Holt; Windass, Miller, Mackay. Kranjcar and Miller can be brought off after an hour or more depending on if they've anything left in the tank and use Rossiter, Garner and O'Halloran as key subs.

Would have Waghorn on the bench too but he should be dropped. 3-1 Rangers with Miller (2) and Windass to score! Honest, I haven't had a drink yet!

20 Oct 2016 23:00:11
Our Central defence is a major problem and for that reason I would sacrifice a forward and play with a sweeper. Either Crooks or Rossiter. Would probably go without McKay. He will probably crap out of tackles in any event!

21 Oct 2016 09:26:37
Pmsl bongo! Your post had my sides splitting! Good funny banter which a lot of us on here tend to forget at times. I really enjoy this part of it on here as i do the football, difference of opinion serious stuff. So once again bongo, cheers for that mate!

20 Oct 2016 11:28:40
I have a funny feeling Crook might get a game at centre back cause we need that bit of height and pace. Willson is out!

20 Oct 2016 13:08:50
More likely that if Wilson doesn't make it that Kiernan and Hill will start again which doesn't help my nerves about the game one little bit!

20 Oct 2016 13:42:36
whats up with Wilson?
if we win its unexpected but if we lose which I think will happen I hope we put on a better show attacking wise . and if we can score a couple this time it will heap the pressure on them a long as we score first.

20 Oct 2016 15:10:16
dude I just actually read that there and there is no chance of crooks starting anywhere he hasn't proved himself yet he has only had 20 mins and didn't impress then either.

20 Oct 2016 16:57:08
Really? Seriously doubt it. Why would we play someone that has done nothing to justify the cult following he has, in a position they have never played in for us in such a big game?
