Livingston tactics . Park the bus and kick the s_ _ t out of them.

20 Oct 2015 21:42:31
Nearly worked.

20 Oct 2015 21:47:37
Oduwa was kicked off the park. The very first tackle was a red card. didn't even get a yellow !

20 Oct 2015 22:30:21
Bang on wee bill. The guy that cleaned him out, Gibson no16, then smacked mackay and still got away with it. Actually laughed when he finally got booked for grabbing the ball on the deck, that was nothing in comparison to how he was launching himself in. Ref must've been blinded by his teeth up to that point, they were belters lol.

21 Oct 2015 08:40:29
When the referee did nothing about Gibbons in the first minute, he set the tone for the game. What annoyed me, more than anything else was the way Gibbon's took out Oduwa's trailing leg.
Time, after time, the Livvy players were miles late, with what I refuse to call tackles, so the club must punished for their actions.
The referee must be given a rest from the game, so that he can re-visit the book on the rules of the game.

I thought the bald guy - Faria was it? - was the worst offender. He got away with a forearm smash into Oduwa's face and didn't even get yellow carded. I'm all for hard tackles and effort but there has to be a line drawn between being overzealous and acting like a thug.

21 Oct 2015 11:04:21
if they put that much effort into every game, they might be doing better in the league, but no they are all the same only up for playing Rangers, lol.

21 Oct 2015 14:57:15
There centre half morgyn niel is an absolute gem tho.

20 Oct 2015 21:12:23
all very nice and fancy footwork tonight, but we badly need some shots at goal or this is going to run away from us ?

21 Oct 2015 10:41:13
We need to have a pop more often from outside the box, we play lovely football but don't always try pass it into the net please!

And we need a proper striker that can bang in the goals inside the 18 yard box. Waggie is a great player but not a central striker in my eyes, with a central striker Waggie would get even better and more freedom to express himself.

21 Oct 2015 08:44:55
Ye for all our hard work we don't get shots away. when we do shoot from 18+ yards we normaly score. i would like to see somebody pick the ball up and just drive at the team and take players on. mw said mackay would go to very top on football. he does the easy things right and keeps it easy. barry get the ball take your man on and play blinding cross your a winger for god sake. think we will get it right come spl tho still 2 transfers to go. onwards and upwards.

21 Oct 2015 13:44:04
Good post Davie. I was screaming for McKay to drive at the defender all night.
He needs more encouragement to take his man on. He also has to have more belief in his own ability because he clearly has it.

20 Oct 2015 12:49:11
I think Eustace will be played sparingly against tougher opponents (SPFL teams in the cup and maybe the likes of hibs, Falkirk etc away games) and Halliday and Holt would sit in front of him with Zalalem and Holt rotating. Also think the stint Halliday has put in at CDM will stand him in good stead once we're back in the Premiership and he moves into a more forward position, all the covering and tackling he's had to do so far can only benefit him. Could be a real player for us once he's back in his preferred position. Any thoughts?

20 Oct 2015 14:10:39
My thoughts are that there's a lot of support for Eustace when none of have seen him play and that's puzzling. I wouldn't drop Halliday, Holt or McKay and Zelalem, while we've got him, is a definite starter. Arsenal and Rangers fans would expect that and he's got to be one of the most outstanding young talents ever seen at Ibrox. The one position which needs addressing is who's to play alongside Waghorn. Miller isn't scoring, Clark's not exactly staked a claim and Oduwa blows a bit hot and cold. I'd like to see Walsh given a bit of a run. Temmpleton ? Don't know where he's disappeared to.

20 Oct 2015 15:02:42
kfraser, think the reason support for Eustace is obvious, Warburton obviously rates him or would not be spending all this time on him, therefore as his judgement on players so far has been good punters believe the same with Eustace.

20 Oct 2015 16:21:20
It's all went a bit quiet again with the eustace deal, was he not meant to sign at the start of the wk.

20 Oct 2015 23:12:18
It's amazing how good players become when they don't play? I have to agree with kfraser I don't know why so many Rangers fans come on hear bumming up Eustace. It's clear he has severe injury issues and as the weeks go by its less likely he will sign as a player.

20 Oct 2015 15:32:42
Warburton says John Eustace career records is 98% of matches of teams he has played in he has won. That's an outstanding statistic. Law, Halliday, Shiels have all spoken publicly about his input, knowledge and experience has been invaluable. I have seen him play at Watford, possibly the most under rated holding midfield player to have played in the English game. Fantastic passer of the ball and has Stuart McCall like tenacity.

21 Oct 2015 16:55:30
I think those statistics are way out mate. He maybe said in games he played in for one season or something similar. To have a 98% win ratio at his age would make him far and away the most expensive player on the planet? He must have played maybe 3,000 games. and won 2,980?, No.

20 Oct 2015 11:40:54
i don't think we need to change anything, as someone else said, if it ain't broke etc, but if we HAVE to accommodate Eustace, then Warbs needs to change to a 4-4-2 set up.

20 Oct 2015 12:47:15
If anything playing Eustace means we must keep 3, he won't have the legs to play in a 2 man midfield.

20 Oct 2015 13:21:02
He will be used as a holding midfielder, to sit infront of the defense so no changing of formations will be needed by the random on a rumours page. I reckon warbs knows better.

20 Oct 2015 12:58:40
Think we can leave the team, shape and tactics to the manager bill. Don't think he needs to do anything he doesn't want to. he knows how to use Eustace.

21 Oct 2015 00:49:31
Tomtom12 - i'd be quite happy for no change in shape. Sill not sure about Eustace, but Warbs hasn't put a foot wrong so far, and he knows Eustace, so let's just sit tight and see how it develops.
