We were getting 18.75 million per season which was the lowest of the top 18 leagues in europe. Now we are getting 20 million per season. How is this seen as a triumph. This is shocking. Scottish football is class. Rangers with Stevie G. Celtic. Aberdeen, hibs, kilmarnock, hearts all with good managers and players. Its competitive and good tv. Only the sfa could have messed this up. I would be expecting 100 mill per season.

The problem is that Scottish football fans subscribe to these packages and continue to fund the EPL. We should all refuse to subscribe until we are offered a package that is exclusively showing Scottish football and nothing else, then we’ll see the value of our contracts increase.

Nail on the head COYBIG. All other countries will have sky France, sky Spain and so on. We have sky UK and therefore they will give is a 3rd class product inferior to the English premier league and championship.

Not saying the deal is fantastic but it is an improvement. Take into consideration we only have 12 teams in the top flight. Most other countries have 16 if not much more. So you could look at it pro rata. The English Championship got 595 million for 24 teams. So if prorata ours would be 200 million. That ain't to bad taking all things into consideration.

It’s not about the football. It’s about the potential audience who will buy subscriptions and the advertising revenue.
When teams outside of the old firm can barely get 5,000 to a home game it says a lot about interest in football.

Exactly Eastcoatblue and the £595M is subsidised by us. It’s nonsense that a team like Huddersfield can pay more for players than Celtic or Rangers. I don’t subscribe at the moment but I’d happily pay more for a Scottish only package than the current UK package knowing that the money was going back into Scottish football.

We have only got the old firm end of, no one wants to watch any other teams in Scotland including Edinburgh derby. That goes for rangers or celtic playing any other teams in spfl, the money we receive commercially is because of old firm.

£160m on a 5 year deal = 32m.
For league games alone. Then we will receive more for our cup matches.
This stands for only 12 top flight clubs?
A lot of other countries receive nothing like this per club.

To be fair I read that it was 100 mill over 5 seasons as well, where are you reading 160? I don't have sky anyway, I have virgin and get BT sports free so I have been enjoying the football this season, when games are on sky I can stream with no problems. I do like that BT have given the less interesting games a shot though it's fair to the league as a whole and the league has become more competitive with the likes of Kilmarnock under Clarke very resilient hard to beat. Your also going to get plenty if goals in most of hibs games, obviously the fan base of the old firm and then aberdeen and hearts in the mix, it's good for a change having a good few teams battling it out so far but the tv deal is poor, your talking less than 2 mill per team per season if it is 100 mill.

Would love a Sunday kick off only reason I fly out to Benidorm on the Saturday and will be mid flight during the game. I'm normally a clam flier but will be anxious not knowing how many goals we have scored😰😰😰😰.

Yeah, in this case I am equating charged with guilty. Sexual assault ain't whistling at a woman. Its groping, feeling etc. That's not welcome and is reported by female concerned. BTP and police raising charges while he has cited his mother and sisters as evidentiary witnesses (christ) . He could try to bring in Gers/ Newcastle staff in as further evidentiary witnesses bringing club into @@@@. Don't call a lawyer an idiot please. BTW more than 95% of sexual assault charges lead to conviction.

95% conviction rate for sexual assault is a blatantly false statistic and even if it were true it doesn't take away being innocent until proven guilty.
When it comes to this case, let's not pretend we know what's going on, none of us have a clue, just let things play out with the police, this really isn't something we should have a debate over.

Millerbrandwilson, gazza has mental health problems mate! Although i most certainly DON'T condone any sexual assault of any sort, the guy has got mental health illness, which of course should be taken into account here! I know he carried this out on a train, several months ago and should be dealt with accordingly, again taking everything regarding gazza into the equation! So very sad what has happened to gazza,
as nobody wants this to happen to them! Gazza was a big hero of mine!

Innocent until proven guilty. If he is found guilty his mental health shouldn't be used as an excuse though supercooper mate. I've struggled with mental health myself after losing my dad and brother in law in a short period of time. Hit the drink n stuff to try and cope but you still know the difference between right and wrong. Like I said though innocent until proven guilty, and mbw if he is a lawyer should know that.
