Would be happy to take Kane Hemmings as he's proven in the SPL and has a £250k buyout clause. Would much rather see him in a gers shirt than Cummings any day.

21 May 2016 05:35:11
Hate to say it but I think Cummings is a better player than Hemmings.

21 May 2016 05:35:11

20 May 2016 22:17:42
I've just arrived back home tonight and am totally amazed at the amount of post about Brendan Rodgers.
Tomorrow match is all we should be talking about 4 years ago they all tryed to destroy us 3 lower league titles and a cup now we have a chance to make our mark in History no more posts about the Slime!
Rangers 3-1 I say.

21 May 2016 05:35:38
Here here Bongo. 2-0 for me.

21 May 2016 05:35:38
Here here Bongo. 2-0 for me.

21 May 2016 09:20:56
Aye you are right Bongo. I have said my piece on them. Today is all about the Rangers (the only show in town) . 4-1 today.

20 May 2016 21:41:45
My View
Rodgers will fail to get them in Champions league, and will quit the job early 2017

He will be our Paul Le Guen.

20 May 2016 22:07:34
I'm not concerned at all, I'm just interested in Rangers.

He has had a very mixed managerial career, he may be good, he may be awful, nothing we can do but wait and see.

20 May 2016 22:18:47
Who Cares This is our moment.

21 May 2016 05:29:07
The guy is in my opinion overrated, it's 5.30 in the morning I'm up all excited about the match, not interested in Rodgers forget him this is our day, let's do it and get European football back to ibrox, where it belongs.

20 May 2016 19:56:47
Anyone thinking that other mob might go for joey Barton and try and lure him with the lure of champions league football and pay him more in wages than we can afford now that Brenda Rodgers has been appointed, please tell me I'm just being paranoid lol.

20 May 2016 20:24:10
First time poster here. Looking forward to tomorrow quietly confident of a win I reckon hibs will be mentally drained following their oopsy daisy which will work in our favour. Would take Cummings in a minute warbs n weir will sort him out. As for the bold Brenda I think Dermot is flapping and this is just a ploy to get the numbers back up at parkhead he only finished second due to Suarez wouldn't worry about it and as for Barton if he signs brilliant if he doesn't who cares

20 May 2016 20:34:26
Their insecurities are so much that any player we are linked to they will bid for. Perfect example Scott Allan.

20 May 2016 21:03:28
tommzz i can't help but think the same thing lol, i guess we can only wait and see what happinz though, Barton is definitely a player i would love to see playin at Rangers, but if we don't manage to secure his signature, we'll just need to move onto the next target and i'm positive there will be many more targets Mw, Dw and Fm are lookin at, mon the gers.

20 May 2016 21:39:33
Aye they just might be tempted to go for Barton. I wouldn't be too disappointed tbh as I think the guy is a total ned and as such would be a good fit for them. No point in having a guy sitting in the stand at various points throughout the season. Also have to laugh at the timing of the announcement of their manager. As if that is going to deflect our attention tomorrow.

The Gers are in a cup final. I'm going for a 3-1 with wee Barrie giving the Edinburgh dhims a right old chasing. Btw I hope MW fills the bench. Even if he has to put a couple of the young lads there. Just think of the experience they will have.

20 May 2016 22:02:05
I couldn't care less who they employ in that role, it's what's on the pitch that counts.

B. Rodgers is a good manager but I think he will get bored of life at the methadome quickly after the first failure.

At least he will see a few old firm games.

21 May 2016 09:32:59
A 12 month rolling contract says it all. Either way they don't trust his ability or he don't believe they will support him in transfer market. He will be gone when we lift spl next season.

21 May 2016 10:39:49
Rolling contracts seem to be the Celtic way. Strachan was on one too.

20 May 2016 19:08:08
Rumour has it that Rogers is coming to Scotland to study how a football team play exciting expansive football. Mark Warburton will have the inside track on his new adversary, i'm looking forward to next season so much, i think we have a real chance, just a few more signings and BOOM, here comes 55.I fancy 3-1 tomorrow. Enjoy the game fellow Bears.

20 May 2016 20:27:48
I've put down 3-1 too. And 3-2 Mackay to score 1st @ 130-1.

20 May 2016 21:52:28
4-2 I'll go with.

21 May 2016 08:34:40
He may have worked with Brendon Rodgers once but didn't see any premiership teams knocking on warbutons door.

20 May 2016 17:47:37
A few of my mates are Celtic fans, they are over the moon about Rodgers getting the Celtic job until I pointed out he's not done much as a manager, told them he had 1 good season with Liverpool until Suarez left then he was useless! haha. they actually agreed with me after they had thought properly about it!

20 May 2016 19:15:09
Whether we like it or not it is a good appointment and Celtic fans should be thanking us because one thing is for certain, if we had not been promoted they would certainly not have signed someone of the calibre of Rogers. He was out of his depth at Liverpool where he was given too much money to spend however I believe that he will provide a good challenge to Warburton and the Celtic Board will back him financially.

Thankfully we have a good management team that would appear to be capable of picking up good quality players at bargain prices. We need to see continued financial support from the Board to ensure that we are above them in the Table come next May.

20 May 2016 19:17:17
Oh yes it means one thing, Rangers are back! The day before Scotlands most successful club are in another cup final with more silverware looming they make their big announcement.
Roll on next season, in Warburton we trust.

20 May 2016 19:27:08
Walked out on Watford, sacked at Reading, walked out on Swansea, sacked at Liverpool. Teams got worse when he added his own players.

20 May 2016 19:29:48
2 be fair if delilah could win the league with the rubbish he had playing for them i'm sure Rodgers could do the same. he's going to need a big kitty and get rid of deadwood. Will make for a crackin season as we will be pushing for top 2.

20 May 2016 19:30:21
Are you starting to get a wee bit worried. seems the rangers might quite literally get Rodgered next season. bring it on. Watch us heading over the horizon now.

20 May 2016 19:32:41
Well I think it's great that a manager like rodgers has came to Scotland. he's a big name and now let's see how good a manager he really is because he has his work cut out.

20 May 2016 21:27:34
There's no way to tell how he's going to be, he has a very mixed record in management but he is a big name.

Just have to wait and see, frankly I'm not concerned about what Celtic do, my only concern is Rangers.

@Bhrydobhoy, There's absolutely no way for you to know that and you're basing your opinion on nothing but blind optimism, you don't know if he'll be good, you don't know what players are coming in or leaving, you know next to nothing at this point so your opinion is invalid.

Also, I'd like to question why after making a new managerial appointment you are so obviously excited about that you are coming to a Rangers related forum?

20 May 2016 22:15:50
Rodgers is a decent manager = yes
Celtic fans are over the moon = yes
Mark Warburton is magic = yes
Celtic fans are brad pittin themselves for next season = yes
Rangers are going to win the league = yes. sounds good eh =)

20 May 2016 22:19:56
Let's face it the Celtic board are going to back Rodgers financially this summer so it is now even more crucial that Dave King gets the merchandise deal sorted so we can compete in the transfer market. The quality of player we are going for is positive but I fear we could struggle to compete over a whole season if they start splashing out.

20 May 2016 23:18:36
Sa yn celtic have no money to invest in new players they will need to shift the deadwood be fore they buy, in regards rodgers he is that good a mansger that no other club offered him a contract since his time as being sacked by liverpool, i wonder why.

20 May 2016 19:08:34
the only reason rogers nearly won the league was because they had no european games whatsoever and even then they did not make it.

20 May 2016 19:37:25
I'll make it short n sweet but u'v got to laugh at them, publicity stunt n a half 😂 pure pathetic. They're all over the moon because they think it's gonnae take the shine off of us, but it really is just all about the rangers. Forget it bhoys but we're too busy preparing ourselves for the showpiece game of the season to concern ourselves with u's. Let's do this teddy bears n get another trophy in the cabinet.

20 May 2016 21:32:09
Bhrydobhoy

What do we have to be scared of? While I admit that Rodgers is not only a great appointment for Celtic he is a great appointment for Scottish football but let's not under estimate the job in hand.

He has to clear all dead wood and trust me there's a fair bit of that.

He has to get the players he wants to make your club a success in Europe and there's been no mention of transfer kitty

And finally he has to get them to adapt to his style of play as they have been playing 4-5-1 for the past two years.

So once he has sorted all that out I will tell you how scared we are of him.

20 May 2016 17:21:20
Q. would Brendan rogers have taken the job if hibs went up instead of us. A. NAW.

20 May 2016 17:17:58
I only thought we agreed pre contracts with crooks an windass an not so long rossiter but found this out we also signed this lad after successful trails

Vladislavs Gutkovskis

The Latvian striker knows the way to goal, having netted an impressive 34 goals in 51 appearances for Skonto Riga, and at the age of 20 there is plenty of room for improvement.

20 May 2016 19:16:04
Where did you get this Ulster Whyte?

20 May 2016 19:20:17
Was that the lad we had on trial a while ago, people seemed 2 think he was asking too much money?

20 May 2016 19:29:31
Source? camt see any evidence of this anywhere mate.

20 May 2016 19:37:29
Signed for Termalica in Feb for £60k and has only played twice.

20 May 2016 19:38:22
As far as I know he was only on trial and didn't get offered to sign yet.

20 May 2016 19:46:28
On transfer market the lad is contracted till 2020.

20 May 2016 19:07:21
Where did you read this? This is a load of rubbish. The geezer was on trial but never signed. Pleaded for a move but wanted too much in wages and The Hat told him to gtf.

20 May 2016 19:21:54
Ulster. Can't see this anywhere. Done a search and he is still with his current club. Only mention of him was back in December when he was on trial with us.

20 May 2016 17:17:45
Celtic have just appointed Brendan Rodgers as new manager, roll on next year, it's going to be a cracker.

20 May 2016 15:46:48
Just seen Gordon Greer been released by Brighton could be a potential signing for the bears.

20 May 2016 19:10:31
if brighton did not think there was another season in him he would not be getting released.

20 May 2016 15:45:36
Gordon Greer just realesed from Brighton. i know he's getin on a bit but he's just had a cracking season with a club where he was captain and he's still involved in the Scotland team. I think he could be the experienced no nonsense centre half we're looking for!

20 May 2016 17:50:37
Tom Huddlestone is out of contract 30/ 6/ 2016 get him er ok I just dreaming class act though.

20 May 2016 15:40:02
Gordon Greer just been released by Brighton could be a decent signing.

20 May 2016 15:38:09
gordon greer and bobby zamora just released by brighton? don't know much about either know Greer is getting on at 35 but he was their captain last year a Scottish internationalist and maybe just what we need for a season or 2 at CB?

Thoughts bears?

20 May 2016 15:37:51
If we were to get invited to join Lge3 down south King and the board would grab it. How can our club compete in Europe in our current financial situation? reckon 8yrs max to get into Premiership! Don't think it will happen but if we get the invite we're off.

20 May 2016 15:21:47
Guys
M8 down to 1 lane tomorrow from Newhouse
Get in early.

20 May 2016 12:11:56
Bit of a long shot, my mate is in Laos and was asking if anyone knew anywhere that would show the game on Saturday?

20 May 2016 14:14:17
Tell him to google it.

20 May 2016 14:32:23
vip box.

20 May 2016 15:04:21
Hi the Rangers game is live on rangers TV outside the uk.

20 May 2016 15:30:43
Get the app sports tv HD it's free and shows all the games.

20 May 2016 16:03:35
There are a few bars in Vientiane that show football, you have to walk around and ask and look for ad boards outside.

20 May 2016 18:33:15
Type in bbc 1 scotland live on your phone or laptop. as thts what I will be doing as working 2morrow.

20 May 2016 10:49:04
Well tomorrow's the cup final and I just wanted to post no matter the result I'm delighted with how the season has gone. yeah I'm really hoping we win tomorrow, but it won't be the end of the world if we get beat because we will be much stronger come August. let's just have one more win tomorrow and it will be an outstanding season.

20 May 2016 06:00:58
With english football league revamping in 2019/ 20.6 new invited teams will come into division 3. would rangers want to be invited. me personally say no. i know what scottish football done to us over last few years, but for me we're a scottish team and i would like to stay in scottish league unless there was atlantic league or european league set up with relegation and promotion etc. what's your thoughts. And for good measure our own tv deal runs out that same year so nothing stopping us. coincidence maybe?

20 May 2016 11:14:17
Davie i would love to us to go to the english league, but can't see it happening, imo, though ime too old now to travel down by every 2 weeks, but i wish this had happened years ago, imagine it mate we would be the new chelsea, lol and it would pull in lots of money, and rid us of the s. f. a. who in my honest opinion couldn run a bath.

20 May 2016 11:09:19
Would love to see the old firm go down south, don't think it'll happen. Scottish Football is dead, even although next season looks to be on the up it'll never get back to the heights that it once was in the 90's! Only want the best for the club, couldn't care less about other team in Scotland! They fu***d us over so why not do the same by leaving them to rot in a diminishing league if we leave!

On a brighter note, MON THE GERS tomorrow! predicting a 3-1 win, enjoy lads.

20 May 2016 11:16:48
I don't fancy scrapping it out with 100 teams to try get to the premiership, it took us long enough to get back to Scottish premiership never mind the English one!

Am with you, Euro League am up for it, but failing that Scotland we shall remain in my eyes!

20 May 2016 11:27:41
We are just about to get back into the prem then they release that information about a new league with 6 new teams lol, personally I don't think Celtic or Rangers will ever be welcomed to England unless sky make it happen.

20 May 2016 12:20:35
Would love it happen to be honest. I'm sure us and Cletic would get through the leagues in no time. Would be a good wee race to see who got there first. Maybe leave a B team up here.

20 May 2016 12:43:08
Recbob yip definetly mste, though the other reams would still be moaning about our b teams. lol.

20 May 2016 13:27:23
imagine travelling to places like Bristol Portsmouth
Plymouth Norwich and what sort of sort of support would
they bring in terms of numbers
plus it could take 6 years plus for us to the flight.

20 May 2016 12:23:42
Have been saying for years now that I can see TV running our game. Put it this way, on a Monday night who are you going to tune in to watch, Barcelona v Man U, Rangers v Bayern, Liverpool v PSG or Bournemouth v Birmingham?

TV companies need advertising and advertising needs viewers so I reckon that there will be a Euro league of some sorts in the future. They will make it so.

20 May 2016 13:10:55
True bigj, and coming second to them😂
If people thought that the EPL was box office just now imagine it with the Old Firm madness thrown in. I think it would be fantastic. You could literally double or treble the capacity at Ibrox. Celtic might even fill the breezeblock dome, it would be that big.

20 May 2016 13:52:12
iagree it would take us probs at least ten year to get up there, but with the fan base we have and the money we would get we could be an unbelievable force down south.

the manky mob over there would maken it exiting a race to the EPL with them would be fantastic.

Scottish fitbaw is mince guys and to stay here is just crazy. we should jump at the chance.

20 May 2016 15:25:13
Non question for me. We should jump at any little sniff at moving to England if we get the opportunity wether we have to grind it out from the bottom or not.

It's a shame but Scottish football is dead. There will be a mini revival next season with Rangers back in the big time but it will again regress even further. This club is too great to rot in a league with no support from the top level.

20 May 2016 18:52:51
Beau never a truer word said mate, my opinion also.

20 May 2016 19:46:45
Pieandbovril we have been trying for years to get into the english league, but you mention the euro league of some sort, i also think there will a break away euro league, but you might have said something there mate that could maybe be why the english fa are now considering us mate, if they thought for a minute we were going to get invited into a euro league this might force there hand, after all the semi final was watched by millions upon millions of people world wide.

20 May 2016 09:23:17
7/ 1 for us to beat Hibs in 90 mins and Cummings to score anytime. I think that's a great bet personally, I fancy 2-1 or 3-1 with Cummings getting his usual goal against us. That 7/ 1 for any scoreline where we win and for him to score it at anytime is worth a wee £25 investment for a £200 return.

20 May 2016 10:15:51
u only think we will concede 1 with our defending of late, lol, I hope your right!

20 May 2016 10:15:51
u only think we will concede 1 with our defending of late, lol, I hope your right!

20 May 2016 11:10:31
Yeah I think we will only concede 1 but even if we conceded 2 I'm sure we will then manage to score 3. If we do concede 2 then that increases the chances of Cummings being 1 if they scorers.
2-1 is my conservative estimate as finals are usually tight with few goals but 3-2, 4-2 etc (to Rangers of course) is not out of the question. 6-6 with 21 scored and 20 conceded head to head over past 2 seasons.
More importantly 3-2 in wins for us with 1 a 3-2 defeat when we had already won title and the other 2-1 defeat at Easter Rd very unlucky as we rattled bar and denied a stone wall penalty.
Still scored 14 conceded 9 in these 5 under warburton.

20 May 2016 15:39:12
130-1 for 3-2 Mackay to score first.

20 May 2016 19:49:55
Theglasgowranger you could have a point mate but though i like a flutter i could never back a ream to score against us, and agreed most teams have scored against us, i just couldn't back us to lose goals, lol.
