Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

20 Jan 2016 23:45:40
I like how people are saying that without some more signings we won't get promoted so negative we have more than enough with the team we have . the same was said when we did not play great for a couple of weeks and dropped a few points and now look . stokes will score a few but who will be the main striker stokes I don't think so, trust our manager he has been right with everything so far keep the faith.

20 Jan 2016 23:14:32
Anyone else getting bored with the messages about us not stumping up the money other teams want for their players and that we aren't going to sign anyone. Feels like these boys think its the end of the world and it's all going tits up because of a lack of transfer activity.

Pipe down people! Best football in years, top of the table and a team that will get us out of the league. No need to panic we will strengthen in the summer for the top league challenge.

21 Jan 2016 07:48:38
The hat says he's hopefuly going to add couple of faces by monday, if so, brilliant, if not, so be it. people seem to forget. if hibs and falkirk lose or draw anytime soon, there up the creek without a paddle.

20 Jan 2016 22:46:06
Has anyone heard any update on how barrie mckay's contract extension talks are coming along? Its very important we tie mckay up on a long term contract with sell on clauses inserted into it as I have little doubt that barrie mckay within the next 3 years will be sold to england for a big transfer fee, I really rate him highly and he'll go on to showcase his talents in a much better league, although he's still only 21 years old he's already proving he's a very good, creative wide player with burning pace and will go on to become a great player imo.

20 Jan 2016 23:26:52
Not sure but it's only a matter of time b4 he pens a deal, he'll not be going anywhere, he's first on the MW and DW team sheet seemingly, hardly surprising. Great player, great young Scottish talent and going places!

21 Jan 2016 08:01:44
Waggy, with all due respect mate you can never say barrie mckay or any other rangers player for that matter are not going anywhere, every club in scotland is a selling club as there's no money in the scottish game, I don't think mckay will be going anytime soon though, the reason warburton has given halliday, holt and mckay new improved longterm contracts is to make sure we get the going rate in a transfer fee should a club from down south come looking to buy them, money talks mate.

20 Jan 2016 15:55:59
Rangers fans have to be the most impatient fans in the world . still a week and a bit to go before window closes can we all please calm down if we don't get anyone in (and i think we will ) we still have enough to win this league most of our business will be done in summer.

20 Jan 2016 16:48:01
Correct mate. Other teams have been bidding and taking there time on players but yet no one mentions anything but as soon as Rangers don't complete a couple of deals within a certain amount of time everyone starts going nuts. It's not against any rules to negotiate a deal or try and get a good deal. Everyone should just leave it to the people who no what there doing.

20 Jan 2016 17:44:22
Think you will find most fans are like that after what the Rangers support has been through over the last 4 years you can't blame them for being impatient.

20 Jan 2016 20:21:46
Stokes will make a greater difference at Hibs than what we have actually procured to date. Therefore anyone expressing concern over our shoddy transfer dealings has a valid point. In the last 10 days we have been signing someone soon.

20 Jan 2016 21:02:18
Stokes is a turkey he has not kicked a ball in 18 months when he was playing well for Celtic he never scored against us. In fact they had that much confidence in him that no matter how he played the week before he was benched when they came up against us. Get a grip of yourself. when was the last time he scored any goal never mind an important goal. he's never scored in Europe for Celtic either.

20 Jan 2016 22:15:39
Stokes is mince he won't make a difference unless we sign an elvis impersonator I know he isn't too keen on the king seriously the guy doesn't have the attitude to make it at the top just a ned.

20 Jan 2016 22:23:33
East enclosure Stokes won't be playing against us every week will he. He has been played out of position. If he gets a break he will be a major asset to Hibs. Thus far we gave a sub goalie and a winger who in his first outing looks a long way from form. We need a defensive midfielder and a striker and have yet to land either. Saggy gets injured and the what?

20 Jan 2016 22:30:14
I think he will get into the double digits in goals for hibs, after all it's not the top league he will be playing in.

20 Jan 2016 22:44:34
Rangers fans are impatient! Only cause we want the best for our team, and it's good to be kept in the loop, if we get OH that might be enuf to see us over the line. He will offer us a new dimension up top that is going to be good to watch, seen the MW interview on Rangers TV, he was asked what squad number OH will wear and he laughed, it was a laugh of you know that I know! Lol!

Not sure about the lad fae Brentford, hope I'm proved wrong though and he turns out to be a rock there in front of the ball 4 but Halliday is shaping up well in that position.

21 Jan 2016 01:32:30
Doc like I said get a grip he was played out of possion lol when 2 years ago cause that's the last time he played. If waggy gets injured we will cope the goals are coming right throught the team. Remember 6 at Dumbarton and waggy got 1. your baseing our point on a player from 2 years ago. u don't no his current form cause he hasn't got any. also he can get injured just like waggy.

21 Jan 2016 12:51:45
East enclosure you are digressing from the main point. We have several key positions we want filled and as of today we are 11 days down the road with no actual certainty. Anyone raising concern over our recent activity has a valid point. Whether MW isn't happy or he can't get the funding would be a more interesting debate. We are thread bare Law becoming injured proved that we ended up on top of the league on goal difference at one point. I don't believe you or any other bear will be comfortable if it gets close in the run in when we could have avoided the situation by landing a few more for the cause in this transfer window.

21 Jan 2016 19:17:45
Doc your main point was about stokes I like every other bear would love to get a couple more players in but if the deals can't be done or more likely trying to get more money than mw feels there worth then so be it. we lost 11 players at the end of last season and in my eyes the hat has done a execellant job recruiting a whole new team spending about half a million. it maybe just me but even with no more additions I think we will still walk this league with games to spare. There seams to be a lot of panicing from some fans. am sorry but I just don't see it.

21 Jan 2016 22:04:30
East enclosure you have valid points. You understand that after years of neglect we are playing the type of possession footie that is delightful to watch and reminds me of Advocaats teams. But to endure our potential transfer business of the last fortnight is painful and until our slump I would have totally agreed with you but pre-xmas we were going nowhere fast. Looking back Law injury was the catalyst. If I said that at start of the season you would have split your sides but he is making a difference right now. If we stay injury free you may be right, let's hope so. We can return to Stokes soon enough.

20 Jan 2016 15:40:33
I guess most bears assumed
The two players MW said he was close
To signing were the guy from skilled and the guy from Brentford
And if the bids that were supposedly
Made i. e. to get both for less than half a mill Then does MW know
The market or where would he place
Some of our players i. e. waggy
Would be in the 100k bracket at best
As he is unproven at any level other
That Scottish second tier.

20 Jan 2016 16:12:33
bowmac, please can you re post this is a readable sensible format? many thanks from everyone else who reads this site.

20 Jan 2016 16:32:17
I started reading this like a limerick!
I would imagine Waggy around 300k-400k at this moment in time. He is the top scorer in Scotland (tied now I believe) but admittedly a large percentage are from penalties. If he can continue to perform at prem level his value would double or even triple over the million mark. Who knows!

20 Jan 2016 16:40:18
bowmac your mental mate, Waggy 100k, i can only laugh at that tbh buddy.

20 Jan 2016 18:08:38
Borderranger top scorer in the UK, 10 penalties 17 from open play.

20 Jan 2016 20:08:12
I thought it was me with not being able to understand the bowmac msg! πŸ˜– Just to continue the chat on Waghorn, I'm not interested in what he's worth, or at least not the now as I'm hoping he stays with us for a good few years!

What do you fink bowmac? πŸ˜‚ πŸ‘πŸ» keep it short though! WATP!

20 Jan 2016 20:24:30
I'm trying to work out who plays for skilled! Who are this "skilled" bowsac?

20 Jan 2016 19:53:54
We need to take a step back for a moment. While I am happy with Waghorn but we need to remember that we are in the Scottish second tier, hopefully he can keep this level up in the top tier.

20 Jan 2016 21:41:19
Can help with the skilled situation Can only be one obvious answer to who the "skilled" are, MW looking down south again, WATP!

21 Jan 2016 00:10:14
MW commented on transfers today at his press conference. He said that negotiations can have some flexibility if the board and owner get involved. I take that to mean that it's up to the board or DK if a bid should be increased. Correct me if I'm wrong?

20 Jan 2016 15:09:31
I take it we're not signing anyone then? Brilliant.

20 Jan 2016 15:24:35
Well according to MW he's hoping to have a couple of players in before our match on Monday. Let's keep the faith.

20 Jan 2016 18:27:00
@ The Campbell I think you have hit the nail on the head. There is no money to buy players so I think no one is coming in this windows. Hope I'm wrong if not we will struggle over the finish line.

20 Jan 2016 18:53:30
Where will throwing pots of money after these players get us, MW and Co are bang on not being held to ransome in their pursuit of potential signings he knows his market and what he has cash wise to play with, much rather that than, Flo, Prodan, Rozental, and administration, give MW DW and DK a chance look where we are in the space of a year.

20 Jan 2016 14:37:28
I think we should Ryan Stevenson, he really good player and he got his contract cancel from Patrick thistle today.

20 Jan 2016 16:13:18
computer says no, you trying to skint us again charlie green?

20 Jan 2016 14:36:11
Those of you saying we have no money are basically calling MW a liar. He said we did have money, he also said we would not pay over the odds, he also said if we can't get our primary targets we'd move on to others. Maybe that's what he's doing.

20 Jan 2016 12:26:23
I personally don't think we will sign anyone in the window. I don't think we have any money. Not expecting us to spend millions but I fear this may be yet another smoke screen. Making us think we are in for players when we're not. Hope I'm wrong but I don't think there's anything to spend.

20 Jan 2016 14:27:33
There's no cash never was Rangers will go up next season and probably get hammered like Hamilton last night that's where we are at that level unless there's a major cash injection be lucky to finish top four.

20 Jan 2016 14:34:41
mkb, do you forget to take your happy pills mate? that was the most negative post I've seen on here in a very long time. we will easily finish top 4, and like my post yesterday, Warburton and his staff do not spend cash, they spend as little as possible, and make cash from there investments, something I believe warbs picked up from his previous job.

20 Jan 2016 14:46:02
There's no worries of us not being top 4 next season, last night was nothing more than a freak score, carried out by freaks, and watched by the cast of hammerhouse of horrors, we'll be just rite my old flower.

We will win the championship comfortably with what we have. We are playing really good stuff. The thing is that MW targeted two players so he must have wanted them. Surely they are worth bidding for, we are not talking millions here.

20 Jan 2016 16:11:03
Onlyshowaround I genuinely hope you are right and I'm wrong but it does worry me when we offer a pittience for players it doesn't look right but I hope I'm wrong hopefully MW can sign us a few gems.

20 Jan 2016 18:05:41
There will be money there but if you take into account that there was a scouting dept to set up all other staff that MW has got on board like nutritionists and backroom staff plus players we have already brought in there is their wages to pay on top of that and any ground work costs it all adds up so there probably has been a few million already spent when DK said he will put X amount in i don't think it was meant as all that money will go on players it will be spread across the full club to put righr areas that in recent years have been neglected.

20 Jan 2016 13:26:53
Where is the poster who had the inside track on o'hallaran he stated months ago we aere looking to sign him believe he knows a family member? Not slagging you at all just looking to see if you had any update?

20 Jan 2016 20:00:18
Azzlee, no update just now mate but the deal I'm told should be closed out within the next 2 or 3 days,

So the SFA never fail to amaze. Quoted Β£4mil needed for facial recognition technology in football grounds to help control fans. And they going to ask the public purse to fund this.

Do they really think that in todays world we should spend Β£4mil on that when there are families living in poverty in Scotland that can't even feed themselves or Kids, resorting to food banks or missing meals.

You have Scottish people littered all over the city centre, homeless and without light at the end of the tunnel, yet the SFA want the Public Purse to pay for this. These guys make me sick! Pull your head out your A**e is that the most important thing when society is in the mess it is!

or Here is an idea Β£4mil on grass route development for a nation that are the nearly men!

These guys at the SFA make me sick! have not a clue!

20 Jan 2016 11:19:57
Ok here are 2 scenarios!

Warburton is told we are skint so there is very little money for transfers. Regardless of this he goes and blows approx. Β£130k (guestimate of combined wages for Gostomski and Forrester) on 2 6 month deals on positions we are not struggling in and then can't afford cover for positions we need filled?!?!

OR

We are merely being prudent. Either not just throwing money at these people or sourcing alternatives. e. g Warburton thinks O'Halloran is the best we could get for Β£300k but when the price sticks at say Β£600k he feels there may be better players available and has another look around?

I'm going to say option 2!

20 Jan 2016 12:56:06
why are we going for Ohalloran in first place 500k 600k mark would be better putting this towards the player from Brentford that we after
we need the dm more i can only assume warburton is going play Ohalloran as main striker because we certainly do not need any more wingers i would save the money and go for the latvian lad and dm from brentford this is getting a bit embarrassing when manager said two deals where close yet getting near end of of following week there is still no news an one clubs say there are no new bids in for there player our chairman promised to back the manager so far in this window we are yet to see it.

20 Jan 2016 13:15:41
Im hoping its option 2, and to be fair its the more logical one, warbs has such a good eye for bargain talent and like you said, them sticking at the higher valuation would have made him think of others, like mw always says, they don't just look at one option, there's always a first, second and third so i guess he'll be out having a proper look at other targets, he will come good bears.

20 Jan 2016 13:15:49
I like your observation for option 2, never thought about it that way before! I'm sure there's plenty of players worth Β£600k that could br better. Not to knock O'Halloran or anything.

20 Jan 2016 13:00:29
My opinion for what it's worth all clubs are looking at what prices we have previously paid so pricing high. Warburton has identified players stated his valuation and won't pay above that. He would rather go elsewhere than overpay for players.
Will judge our dealings at end of month not now when we really have no idea what is going on behind scenes.
What I can say it's a joy to watch the performances on the field and I have watched a lot of greats over 50+ years following our great team.

20 Jan 2016 09:04:09
I would live these two new signings to be sealed, but to be honest, i don't think we need them right now, sure there's a weakness in the centre of the park but i think kiernan and wilson have started to perform in recent weeks, we're banging the goals in and hardly conceding and to me that fine, the end of the season and start of next is the main time we need to toughen up, yes it would be good to get them in now and get the team playing and knowing each other before next season but all in all we will win this league with what we have, warburtons the man, i love his approach and style, so so much more than we have had in nigh 4 years, and we all know hiw depressing thise years have been, i'm buzzing my team are on fire and giving us the results a team like rangers should have been getting from when we went down, WATP.

{Ed's Note - We have posted a new article entitled, Lampard Rules Leicester Out Of Title Race, Inter Milan And Napoli In The Centre Of Homophobic And Racist Abuse Row Plus More

20 Jan 2016 08:35:37
looks like the transfer targets will go to the wire the way thingsare going.

20 Jan 2016 02:42:25
all we need this month is the Latvian lad, we don't need the other two we are chasing, we have plenty of cover until the summer, then the two lads fronm Accrington will arrive and by then some dead contracts will be sent packing to release wages, maybe then we could look at a few more to build up the squad?

20 Jan 2016 06:24:54
I agree we don't really need o'halloran although he's a good player but we need a defensive midfielder before anything else so I disagree with you wee bill, another striker imo can wait until the summer, the proof is in the pudding as you just have to look at the goals we're scoring and the spread of the goals, so if we can only sign one other player it has to be diagouraga the dm for me.
