Can't watch the game tonight but read the team on the website. Can someone confirm the guy who wrote this us high and we are not playing 4-1-4-1 with faure holding midfield against Forfar?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - true he was)

OMG! At least we won. Glad to see templeton on the scoresheet. Can anyone fill me in in the performance?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes mate crap like every game this season, and it won't ever improve till McCoist is gone

Agree0 Disagree0

Lucky you LS!i have had less torturous dental visits. god th's hard watching us just now. I really hope we don't get septic in the next round of the cup. it could be embarrassing. providing we beat Dunfermline that is.

Agree0 Disagree0

@SpivsOut - I have no idea if this will make it past moderation, probably not but here goes. It's the liek of you who should be out of the door immediately after the spivs. Away and follow a team with a manager you like! Coisty has a team 20 points clear at the top of the league. See my post elsewhere for the rest of my thoughts on this. If you really think all of the performances have been "crap" then I have to wonder what you have been watching

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Nothing wrong with that post, but just a note, anytime anybody starts or mentions in a post, it might not make it past the moderation, or the Ed probably wont post this, makes me very inclined not to post it)

I find it a bit sad the amount of abuse Ally is getting on this and other sites, what chance does he now have, our troubles stem from David Murray, and board members, Mr Whyte, compounded the issue, and now the money we raised is running out, ok Ally was on inflated wages, its been dealt with. Do fans want a Rangers to follow or not, people seem to just blame the manager for all our ills, which is unfair. Please back the team, and the manager, we will get there in the end, there are enough Rangers haters out there. don't join them. Rangers Always.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Think the majority of posts about Ally is down to the fact that he is a poor manager. He just isn't good enough to take the team further and more and more Gers fans are realising this. Are you happy with his managerial record?

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on, don't want to get into if Ally abuse has any justification or not, but the idea of his new salary is now ok is absurd, it is still completely crazy at the level we are at.

Agree0 Disagree0

I do accept that Ally is well short of a top manager, if he gets us back to the Premier that would be a result, but I think a top manager, money permitted, would be the next step. We need a top coach, and a better scouting network, young, hungry footballers, UK, based, or abroad, but, potential. that's the road forward, but it will be years before we play in Europe, or win the League, but I am hopeful, we will get some proper long term investment, and are run like a proper football club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's get one thing straight. ally is and always will be a legend. unlike our friends across the city, the ability to do 10 keeping uppies warrants a legend in their eyes, ally is a true legend. hem has spent most of his footballing career with us. he is and probably always will be our most successfull striker. when he was getting booed he stuck it out and through hard work and endeavour earned every single penny that was payed to him. however ally will never be a manager. that's not abuse that's just facts. we are only saying what everyone thinks. still a legend though!

Aye Ally's a poor wee puppy so he is, deserves all our sympathy. Must be hard being so thick he was the only person in scotland who wasnt thinking "what the fk how come gers can afford that team in 3rd div and fresh out of liquidation with no credit line from bank and club now owned by investors who won't name themselves in public. " Must be really hard now he realises he was the only one without those suspicions now that they've been proved correct and he's having to manage a squad demoralised by being in a pay cut stand off with the board. Poor Ally. Must've been so upset it took him four or five months to 'sign off' a pay cut that still hasn't been implemented. Wish we could give the guy a break. A permanent one.

Agree0 Disagree0

N3 I've always said ally should get us to top league then he should move upstairs though I also say get this board out except wallace so as we can find out if he is a puppet like the other board members

Agree0 Disagree0

@5 Don't you think it's time you just came out and say what you mean instead of tip toeing about the issue?

P. S I agree

I have been reading about the cost cutting requirements with great interest. It is obvious that these cuts need to be put in place if we are to avoid administration. The truth is that we shouldn’t be anywhere near this mess. Stockbridge position is a joke how you can let things get this bad before realising cuts are required is nothing short of at best incompetence and at worse gross negligence. McCoist also needs to shoulder some of the responsibility. We had a great opportunity to start something special here. A blank canvas to nurture youth and build a style of play that could have seen us work through the ranks be commended on our attitude and style of play and build year on year. Instead, what has McCoist done? Spent a fortune on wages on players that just aren’t good enough to sustain an SPL challenge. Faure cannot even take a throw-in properly. Steve Smith is injury prone and just not good enough. The Brazilian centre half that cannot get a game is rank. Black is a ticking time bomb on the pitch. Another wage on a goalkeeper who will never get a game. Loyalty to McCulloch no matter how bad he plays. McLeod constantly being played out of position. All these high earners are getting a game ahead of bringing on youth. McAusland was playing well before the embargo was lifted and then just farmed out. What happened to McKay this season? McCoist just because you were allowed to spend the money doesn’t mean you are not accountable for the financial state we are in. It is time for all the management team at Rangers to face up to their responsibilities. Don't get me started on luxury hotels. One irate Rangers fan.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'm sure most of the players ally brought in were free transfers and as for the wages ally does not dictates them either as with any manager he hands the board a wish list he may speak personally with the player but wages etc are then discussed between the board/finance director and players agent mccoist has nothing to do with the financial side

Spot on OP- you are not alone.

Agree0 Disagree0

McCoist should take his share of the blame for this fiasco, why does he need a squad of this size? he was still talking about bringing in even more players only 3-4 weeks ago, we all knew that Rangers couldn't sustain their spending and yet McCoist was apparently unaware of the damage that his team of big earners is doing to Rangers and even felt he needed to strengthen the squad! As OP said this is at best incompetence.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good post OP. Smith and Foster were probably luxuries we couldn't afford. I suspect the Queens Park left back, Robertson, would have said no to a move to Rangers, playing on the bench to Wallace by the way.

McAusland I agree with. McCoist did make some good signings and strengthened the team and I think McCulloch should be rested from time to time and Gasparotto given a run alongside Bohsni. McCoist has got to take more risks on youth and prepare them for the future. Why wait 'til we're 30 points clear. Do it now!

As for " wee Blackie ", as McCoist calls him, well that says it all and it'll be tough for a Murray Park graduate to topple him from his place in the team in light of the manager's undying support of him. More than a hint of favouritism at work.

Didn't Ally choose to not even fill the subs bench the Saturday before last?

This being seen as a message to Graham Wallace that the squad of 56 needed added to.

Almost as unbelievable as the fact that apparently Ally's proposed wage cut still hasn't been rubber-stamped.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha unbelievable. The goalie that will never get a game is playing tonight. McCoist must have read this post before picking the team. We'll I still stand by the rest of my post

Agree0 Disagree0

@6 LOL- you stick to your guns mate. Just between you and me maybe no one else saw the spectacular out of this world one handed super reaction save by Simeonsen- keep schtum- never admit to being wrong You don't need to be right to have an opinion on here

Agree0 Disagree0

MIght have got the goalkeeper quote wrong but McCoist has just proven me right with another fine quote today. Saying that the stay in the luxury hotel before the game is justified. Unbelievable he is like a wife let loose with a credit card.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can mr wallace sit and watch stockbridge and the sleasdales and the other imposters take take take we will soon see if mr wallace is another of charlibhoys understudies

According to Keith Jackson in today's DR the team are spending the day at the Carnoustie hotel enjoying the spa, massages, Michelin restaurant and have bedrooms booked if the poor souls need a wee nap. Meanwhile Forfar's back four have got a kitchen to fit out and their strikers just getting in from 12 hour nightshift. The cost cutting is really kicking in!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes Foxy, you beat me to it. This is the ultimate slap in the face after all the crap about wage cuts.
Poor players my a***. No insult intended to the Forfar players because they earn our[fans] respect.
Wallace start by cutting all this nonsense and other silly perks for all board members, management and players. Maybe then realism will start to kick in.

Agree0 Disagree0

This would be laughable if it wasn't so serious. Has this been sanctioned by Mr Wallace?- my bet is no it hasn't!

Agree0 Disagree0

Its in Mr Wallace's 120 day period so must be sanctioned by him? or is he not started it yet? as appears to be same as Allys wage cut? This appears to be the biggest fu? up since last fiasco.
Wallace has been long enough in Ibrox to hgave at least worked out Hotles etc had to stop? but appears to let thsi nonsense contiue? who is kidding who here. our CEO and accountants appear to be playing a very strange game of talking about massive cuts needed but doing nothing about it? WHY.

Agree0 Disagree0

The boards idea of cost cutting is like the governments where they tax the hell out of us then waste the money on pointless crap, except Rangers don't need to tax us they just get Super Ally out banging his WATP drum to sell STs and shares.

Agree0 Disagree0

120 day, or 4 months to carry out a review on club finances, c`mon with the amount of accountants/financial experts at the club, surely 2 weeks to a month would have been more than enough time to put a business plan in place.
unless their buying there selves this time, to put the club into administration hassle free from fans protests.
