Alright Everyone, If Craig Whyte hadn't came in were would we be, I am getting behind him, apart from putting the usual papers in their place he take no prisoners and I like that, IF he gets a good result from the tax case the guy is a hero, if not at least he had the BALLS to take it on, Nobody else was there and you can all say what you want but there were free loaders just taking cash out of our beloved team, there out, It was a shame about mr Greig but he was brain washed by them and those who wanted control.
Celtic will probably win the league as they have more players than three teams require, but if they don't, it will be shocking for them as we are even more skint than last year, so come on BEARS lets get behind the man.
ERSKINE WIZARD

Believable6 Unbelievable5

Craig whyte makes his money liquidating companies so I wouldn't be so quick to get behind him

Agree7 Disagree1

You had me till you said Septic win probably win the league. They are just on a streak they WILL bottle it. History does repeat itself. WATP

Agree2 Disagree6

I am sorry but whyte had not had the balls to take it on, he has paid £1. That is it.
If he wins the tax case he will be looked on as a hero, but he should not be. It will be interesting to see if he does as promised, clear the debt if we win the case. I would not bet on it

Agree3 Disagree2

He put his co*k on the block son!! He has, if he wins the case, done an amazing and shrewd piece of business, something you are clearly not able to do, yet you have a opinion?? Maybe you should reserve your opinion till after the case. If we lose then you can harp on all day about how your the man! Until then maybe you should keep shtume!

Could not have been a very big one LoL

Craig white should not accept any less than double figures for jelavic, say we get ten million for him , we can take four million for another jelavic and then white can stick the other six under his bed.
If players like andy carrol can have 35 million spent for them i would say ten is reasonable. Graig gordon went to sunderland from hearts for 12mil.
Also no jela/replacement means our title hopes will be in ruins, no top spot, harder champions campaign and the possibility of losing out on 16mil or whatever the champions leugue would get us

Believable2 Unbelievable3

If only it was that easy to find a jelavic mate ! An 16 mill for champions league!? What planet are you on it's barely half that

Agree2 Disagree1

There wont be any champs league/europa cz we aint got a licence! no audited accounts submitted on 31st dec, this is being kept very quiet but is in UEFA rules(google it) ed,you know anything? {Ed014's Note - That seems to be the rules.

Agree3 Disagree1

For a start, rangers wont get anywhere near 10m for jelly.
also, they still owe over 2.5m for him.
he also has a sell on clause in his contract.

the reason this 10m valuation is bandied about, is not because he's worth that, but because whyte NEEDS that

Agree7 Disagree3

Rangers have paid off the Jelavic transfer, so please Timothy, enough of the lame rumours.

TTG

Agree2 Disagree5

I think for the UEFA licence it is 31st March

Agree2 Disagree3

In 2007 English Premier League club Sunderland bought craig gordon for £9 million, the highest fee a British club had ever paid for a goalkeeper until the transfer of David de Gea to Manchester United in 2011, so ur 12m is way wide of the mark bud, i mean just open up a new tab type c gordon in to wiki and stop yourself from looking like a plonker! 12m ha. *ksd*

Agree2 Disagree0

Uefa licence is granted by the gov body(Swant an increaseFA) audited accounts must be produced by 31st dec. whyte is keeping this quiet cz he knows its gonna affect season book sales n he's got the cheek to try n raise prices! no euro ties nxt season

Agree3 Disagree1

Wee dont owe a penny for Jellyfish

Agree1 Disagree3

Jelavic scores a few SPL goals and is worth 6m more than rangers paid for him, wheres the logic?

Just telling you what I heard today. Rangers think they have won the tax case, apparently after the hearing the Rangers representatives were delirious whilst HMRC were all looking glum.
Rangers are expecting to win the case with an amount of less than £2m to be paid.
I am also surprised by Ellis being appointed to the board, whilst I have serious reservations about the credibility of this man it would seem to be strange that he is appointed now if we are going into admin soon.
Hope what I heard is correct, but wonder if Whyte will be so happy as I believe the only way he can make money is if we go into admin.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Maybe whytes not in it to make money. people just assume he does./biggles

Agree2 Disagree0

And how did you hear this? no one even knows where its being held!ellis is in cz we will lose it i think, his buisness is asset stripping n thats whats gotta happen to pay off the debt.no one knows anything

Agree5 Disagree0

Of course they did lol!!

rangers are done bang to rights on this tax case. there's no way out of it, and definitely no way that HMRC will lose the case. the only hope you have is that the decision against you isn't as harsh as it should be.

and dont you think that rangers would already be dropping wee words in favoured journalists ears to spread the good news? after all whyte wants your money for next year now, and up front

Agree6 Disagree3

With my ears you donut.

Agree1 Disagree3

How can they drop hints to the press when they don't know the result. I very clearly stated that Rangers think they have won the case, that is all I said, so learn to read properly before talking crap

Agree2 Disagree5

Exactly, they can't, because they don't know the result, just like you didn't hear anything from anyone who knows anything!

f7cking balloon, stop clutching and just wait till the outcome. your wee story is full of moonbeams and fairy dust

Agree7 Disagree1

20 Jan 2012 22:56:34
I dont actually think that Jelavic will leave, rangers arent stupid and take less than 6.5 million like the summer... plus who would spend 8-10 million a striker lets face it isnt playing the best! and Does Jelavic even want to leave? he has said he would only leave for a big club in england and loves it at rangers! what you like ed?

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Chelski spent £50m on a striker who wasn't/ isn't "playing the best" a year ago. Someone's worth what someone will pay. As we consistently under-sell the family silver, we probably will again. Jelavic is many times the player a lot of these over-rated, over-hyped balloons playing in England will ever be.

I think there is a myserious Vibe coming from Ibrox tonight folks . Phil Betts who was appointed as he has Background in Finance . Now HMRC Case is Out the way there is no need for hi who his Forte is Refinancing companies . So have we WON the Tax case . as refinancing isnt an issue if they have sacked him . Because if we lost then we would need him to Refinance the Issues . And why are we still Buying Players . Interesting People.

Believable1 Unbelievable5

Who have rangers bought?also consider fleck and weir are of the wage bill.

Agree2 Disagree0

We need an expert in re-financing,suspended shares mean we will get shafted by % rates so that looks like the plan.admin here we come

Agree2 Disagree1

Have you actually thought that Betts said 'sod this' and got out before the proverbial hit the fan, meaning his name wasn't associated with taking a business down the tubes?

i would believe that more than anything

Why is everyone making such a fuss and moaning about the Celiks name and saying he better not have his surname on the back of his top? At the end of the day our rivals are called Celtic not Celik? Also do people think if he has Celik on the back of his top does it make him a bad person and a bad player!! GET A GRIP! He is OUR player and we should be supporting him! He could be called pope Benedict for all I care and I would still support him!!

Believable10 Unbelievable4

Lmao catch a grip it's banter.
Mon The Celik
FF81

Agree6 Disagree0

Its only a laugh .chill out people dont really care about his name its all fun

Agree4 Disagree1

It is actually all banter, there has been alot made of his name, I personally think it's genius that he managed to get atleast something Celik associated with the champions.

Agree4 Disagree0

Well, looks like the old habits die hard eh? judging by recent photos the bigots in blue are putting his first name on the jersey

I have just read a post slating john greig saying he did nothing for Rangers am discusted at that! the man is Mr.Rangers he was a hero on and off the park and was the rock of the club during the ibrox disaster he went to every funeral to respect our dead brothers and this fool said he did nothing what a tool and some Rangers fan!
WATP
BIG CRAIG

Believable7 Unbelievable7

I know for a fact that Mr Greig treated many members of staff at Ibrox (including Sandy Jardine) very poorly. He may have been a great player for Rangers, but not a great person.

Agree6 Disagree4

You must get real, you probably never saw him play, he was average at best, he was a rotten manager and has collected wages for the last 25 years. Since when was a good captain which he was, guarantee a job for life. I take your point about the disaster but so did every player at that time, they don't get a job for life.

Agree5 Disagree1

What I said if you care to read the comments were that he did nothing in the last 25 years, that is all, but if you want the truth, he was an average player, terrible manager, but was a great captain. That worth a job for life, don't think so

Agree4 Disagree1

The worst manager rangers ever had without a doubt

Agree6 Disagree0

Greig was unfortunate as a manager, he inherited an ageing team with little money to spend in an era with Fergies Aberdeen and MacLeans United, the only reason things improved after that was the Money invested into the club for new players. He may not have been the greatest person to get on with but he put his life into helping Rangers and always gave his all.

Agree1 Disagree2

Worse than LeGuen

Agree3 Disagree1

John Greig did NOTHING off the park for Rangers. He had hero status and that was it, there's an old sayin that springs to mind, "no man is bigger than the club". He was getting wages to do literally heehaw.

TTG

Agree6 Disagree0

To the poster that says he put his life into Rangers, he had a job, not sure doing what, and got paid for it. I would suggest that Rangers put more into Greig than he put into Rangers

Agree3 Disagree1

Whats ally done off the pitch?hes still a legend....is he?

PS Celtic do not welcome bids for our players, your board have hired agents to FLOG all yours ha ha

How can an agent flog another agent's player?

Poor wee Timalloy, he's so caught up in the Timothies rumours he doesn't know what planet he is own.......

Ed, unless I am mistaken this is a Rangers page, yet it is filled with Celtic supporters. Why do you let these clowns on, go back to the runners up page where you belong. I know this is a banter page but it is not banter, it is just absolute garbage. {Ed014's Note - Nobody forces you to read it.

Agree0 Disagree3

Fair point ed but i for 1 am sick of reading his so called banter agree with above poster its about time he/she actualy talked football instead of the fly digs to me they come accross as a s**t stirrer

Glasgow Celtic are top of the league because of a mistake by referee William Collum. ITS A CONSPIRICY

ScottTheBear

Believable9 Unbelievable5

Get over it Scott, Collum didn't play the killie player onside for there winner, or allow St Mirren to score two against you!

You dropped 7 points in November/December! We won every game......conspiracy over!

We welcome the chase!

DazzaBhoy

i know weve got celik now but id still like to see us go in for templeton. great scottish youngster and with celik, aluko and templeton fighting for places on the wings, we would get some really good service for jelavic and hopefully another striker.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Selik can play striker to.Even if we could not get Templeton if its not in the budget,if we are looking for a striker. How about Andy Driver on loan.He has not moved yet,and there is meant to be championship clubs in for him.A.M

Did ya hear that toolbox Craig burley on espn rangers v st John compare jelavic to marco negri "he's not exactly set the Heather on fire I mean he's no marco person is he going to a top six englishclub? no is he going to a bottom six club? yes" has this guy been smoking the Heather !

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Why is he on a gers game anyway espn should sack him for what he was saying he is the biggest dud ever well seen he never got to any top clubs celtic included, gazza {Ed014's Note - Chelsea?

Agree3 Disagree2

Chelsea weren't a top club when Burley was there.

Only when Abroamovich took over. {Ed014's Note - I think Chelsea fans would disagree with that.

Agree3 Disagree2

There only big now ed , gazza

Agree3 Disagree1

Aye man after comparing jelavic to negri an laughing bout negris alleged eye injury which probably cost us league an cup he then compared hooper to larrson an started laughing bout that. The mans lost the plot

Agree3 Disagree0

Chelsea and Rangers fan here.Chelsea have won more European trophys than the Gers and that was before the russian took over, add FA cups etc.I think you will find Chelsea have always been considered a big club.stop talking pi5h just because Burley played with them,Chelsea are a massive club and always have been.So much for the Blues Brothers saddos.

Agree3 Disagree2

They are only big now not in his day

Agree1 Disagree1

No such thing as the Blues Brothers. Most Rangers fans want sod all to do with Chelski.

Gerry The Ger.

Agree2 Disagree2

Away cry in the corner - we gave ya 12 mill for flo that was the biggest nail in our coffin to be

Agree3 Disagree0

I think the point is, were Chelsea a big club when Burley was there?

Answer - NO

Reason - Division Two of the football league 1989. Burley signed in 1989. {Ed014's Note - Where were they when he left in 1997 though. On their way to a second Cup Winners Cup and UEFA Supercup and League Cup.They also won the old 2nd Division in the year he signed for them,so all of his his time their was in the old First Division and EPL.

Agree2 Disagree0

Ed this guy burly was slaging your team off the gers and ur sticking up for him why??, as for the chelsea thing aye we are pals but as u see above you only got to be a big club after the money came in end of, gazza {Ed014's Note - I was talking about Chelsea.Burley is an idiot.

20 Jan 2012 19:17:34
First time poster here, is it just me or are none of us seeing the bigger picture??
Free signing here, there, everywhere!!
Thought whyte said there was a transfer kitty of ten mill when he came in??!

Believable3 Unbelievable3

He never said that at all.

Agree3 Disagree2

When did he say 10 million.

Agree1 Disagree0

When Whyte took over,he said he was putting in 10 million. And then another 5 million each year.He said that he was putting 10 million up front. Also Celik is not a free transfer,we are paying around quarter of a million for him.And nothing wrong with free transfers. If they are good enough.A.M

Agree1 Disagree0

Naw sorry guys the only kitty he wanted to give or get was kitty from xfactor another nutter, gazza

Who would you have back at Ibrox first...John Greig or Wee Vlad?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Neither, one was a bench warmer and one has made a living for 50 years and done nothing for the last 25

Agree5 Disagree4

Your a F*D John Greig's a RANGERS LEGEND

Agree4 Disagree2

Celtic fan here, can't believe the way some of ur fans r talking bout john greig, the man is rangers, just because he left under a bit of a cloud a few 'fans' seem to have turned on him, maybe u should b looking at why he left? I'm not on here just to have a cheap dig, although some may think so.

Agree1 Disagree1

So was Baxter, shearer, gazza, laudrup, etc etc, they did not get a job for life.

Agree1 Disagree0

To the Celtic fan poster,

You don't have a clue bud, just because John Greig was a legend as a player doesn't mean he deserves a job for life at Rangers. I am only 23 and I honestly don't have a clue what his purpose was at Rangers.

Yes, he is a legend, but there are many more legends who have played for Rangers.

TTG

Agree1 Disagree0

Celtic fan again, I wasn't saying he deserved a job for life but rangers like Celtic have a long proud tradition and I think it's good to have somebody to represent that, like Billy mc Neil at parkhead, and can u honestly give me a player who can carry off that job with more integrity than greig? Not like he was takin 5k a week was it?

M. Celik interview -

"I am always ready. I feel fit and able to be involved. I will show the fans but I can tell them that I am a player who always plays with heart," he told the club's official website.

"It doesn't matter to me where I play, that is for the coaches to decide. Of course the fans can expect to see goals but I can also defend well.

"I think it is a step up from the Swedish league but I am ready to make that step and show everyone what I can do.

"It will be great to be there (on Saturday) and to watch the game and experience the atmosphere."

Happy

He added: "I am very happy now, I have made it to Glasgow and I am happy to be here. It has taken some time but it is finished now and I am very happy with that.

"It is a very good set-up here, it is a very nice training ground and everything is perfect.

"I was here last month and the club showed me everything and I liked the set-up so it is good to have the deal agreed now. Of course now I am very hungry to be involved."

The lad Mervan looks a decent buy, tricky, and cocksure of himself,a bit more flair with him and Sone Aluko, look forward to him playing, also the fullback,he has impressed at Murray Park, staff delighted with him, things looking up,and yes, before the negative comments,we have to work harder to get cheaper players, but thats the position the club is in,so we the true supporters ,accept the situation, and back the team, once a Ranger, always a Ranger.watp simples

Why is people harping on about fleck. He is the worst player at rangers! Slow, fat, can't pass and lazy. Against Albion I heard his name 3 time(all corners). I would gladly give him away free. Honestly he's not had a decent game in 4 years! He is absolutely garbage! Anyone that disagrees has to be related in some way!(nae luck)

C-bear85

Believable7 Unbelievable7

Reading between the lines sounds like a Charlie adman saga & look at him now ?

Lenny

Agree1 Disagree1

C-bear85, its all about opinions and everyone is entitled to their own, but to slate a young lad that has not been given a chance at the club is pretty low, Lenny is spot on, Charlie Adam was a scapegoat and called fat and Lazy when in truth he was played on the wings so that "those" who's face fits get a game, no matter how rank they are, its happening again with McKay and Bedoya, people like you passing judgement before they have been given a chance.

Pete

Agree1 Disagree2

Its a myth that Adam played on the wings. He played plenty off times in the middle, even under Paul Le Guen. Some people forget so much.A.M

Agree1 Disagree1

Charlie Adam was a diddy at Rangers. I still don't rate him as a player.

John Fleck is a natural talent, he just doesn't seem to care. He is in with the wrong crowd and enjoys a good bevvy, which is a shame as he has all the attributes to be a cracking player.

Our biggest loss is Martin Bain the man was a god at getting players with bigger clubs chasing to sign eg big dado etc who does his job now hope it's no that radge smudger. Whoever it is needs there p45 shoved rite up there a!se

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Ate you joking? This is the same Martin vain that has robbed us blind for years, our big problem is we have no money, no champions league, not even god could attract decent players any money, even seltic are struggling to attract decent players and they have money, once jelavic goes we will never see that standard again.

Agree4 Disagree1

Bain a judas, and a rogue, spent more time on junkets and topping up his tan, then tries to sue his previous employers. He is gone, lets move on,no more of these fancy dans,i want someone who gets good deals done, but i dont want his face all over the papers.

Agree4 Disagree0

I'd hazard a guess that Bain's dealings are the one of the reasons that he was fired, and that we are in a fix with HMRC.........

Agree3 Disagree0

I agree the deal broker should stay in the shadows but there's no doubt Bain was one of the best in the buisness

Agree0 Disagree2

Nothing to do with his dealings he didn't trust whyte an who can blame him coz I don't trust him he was sacked for asking " awkward questions like " oi whyte ya tube just tell us where your money is"

Agree0 Disagree0

Are u kidding only thing bain was interested in was the image of being ceo and going on freebies and how he looked wouldnt even have got the job if he wasnt murrays puppet.

Agree3 Disagree0

This is the clown that is suing us for 1.5 million.

Agree1 Disagree0

The main poster here just doesn't have a clue. Bain is one of the reasons we are in the state we are in, chances are he was offering silly money to players whilst receiving silly money in wages. The fact he is suing the club says it all.

Plus some AC Milan greats; Maldini, Franco Baresi, Papin, Rijkaard, Panucci, Gianluigi Lentini and Zvonimir Boban. All for a good cause, anyone know of any other Rangers players we expect to see?

I wrote last week before the St Johnstone game that Rangers had a habit of saying they would like to sign certain players (Sandaza), just as we where about to play their team, maybe hoping to unerve them & lets face it he didn't really do anything against us. I got slated for saying this but surprise surprise, Rangers have dropped their interest in him, tell you what though, we dodged a bullet, the guy is NO-WHERE near good enough for us.

due to the fact that we havnt submitted audited accounts(by 31st dec) we will not be granted a euro licence by the SFA! is this why there was no AGM? if theres to be no euro football this year should we not be told? i for one will not be happy if this is true and yet again asks the question what is whyte playing at? these rules are stated very clearly so whos to blame?this is a real financial problem i would think.we need to ask questions bears. blueforyou

Bears - good news on te celik signing he looks a good player with a lot of potential.

I have was speaking to a friend last night who deals with rangers in a business capacity and knows the inside of the club very well. I obviously cannot say what business this person works for or what they do as if anyone from wIthin rangers read this they would know who it is right away.

My contact says Craig whyte is a really good guy and he wants the best for us as a club, however whyte has told my mate that IF we lose te case we will fold as rangers or him don't have the level of money required to come out of administration, which is understandable given it could be 50m cash! Whyte has assets but Is not cash rich. My contact also says that gers have 7m in the bank even after the frozen funds. He said that Lee Wallace was bought with finance from a London company also. I know this may sound mad but I actually felt better about whyte after this chat as the guy I know is a good lad and he says whyte is a really good guy, albeit a bit Of a wheeler dealer type.

Let's remember we may win the case.

You can disagree all you want with what I have said but this is 100% true.

There is a lot of talk of Edu putting in a lot of work on the park and Ally likes his effort, but what about skill level, he can't make a telling pass couldn't trap a bag of cement and first touch is terrible I think Davis is more worried about Edu and it's affecting his game. Come on Ally open your eyes he's a good guy but you need to think of the team so leave him out even try Wallace instead.

Believable6 Unbelievable4

Aye, sure. Walter, Aly and the American manage haven't got a clue. Against Motherwell he was very good, and Davis wasn't. In fact, Davis blows far too hot and cold for such a good player

Agree6 Disagree3

Edu has looked better the last few games granted, but this guy has been carried for a long time, in a 4 man mid he has been found wanting. runs about like a headless chicken, i could do the same. there players warming the bench that should have had a shout to show what they can do and to run a run of form. he should av dropped monyhs ago. or i must watchinhg the wrong player.

Agree0 Disagree2

Edu is fine. As I said, surely Ally, Walter and the American manager can't be wrong. And the Sochaux manager as well? He may not be the most skillful, but he breaks up play, wins the ball and gives it to the guys that are supposed to be the ball players. not his fault if they do hee haw with it. The time hasn't played since Naismith got injured, but Edu takes the rap. Sorry, just not on.

As for the headless chicken - just watch Davis. He gets pulled out of position all the time. At least Edu tries to get make his presence felt. Criticism with balance is one thing, but picking on a player is just wrong. If he wear Royal Blue he's fine by me. I hated Boyd, a waste of a feckin' skin who didn't know how good he had it, but I never gave him anything other than support when he played.

If this jaager guy signs that's 4 right backs we have at the club along with bartley, do u know another club that has a pool of 20 players with 5 right backs? It's a total shambles of a club now, we are a laughing stock,

Believable8 Unbelievable4

Whittaker can play in a number of position, as can/does Bartley. We do not own Bartley. Broadfoot may be leaving (think contract) and he was brought on board as a centreback anyway. So wer does the 4/5 right backs come from?

Agree3 Disagree1

Broadfoot is hopeless, McMillan will probably get sold he's a good young player and Rangers daft but didn't want to sign a new contract because he wants first team football. Broadfoot should go, McMillan will go, Bartley isn't a right back he's just being versatile and Whitty & Jaager will be fighting for the RB position.

I make that 2 RB's fighting for the position and two versatile players at that.

Agree6 Disagree1

I don't really see the point in signing a right back, unless he is an outstanding player, which I doubt he is. Now is the perfect time to give McMillan a run in the team. If this guy signs I think we can take it as read that McCoist doesn't rate McMillan at all,

Agree3 Disagree1

Aye a know another club......Celtic!! Where have you been the past season and a half? They have signed just about every player in sight!

Anyway.....

Jaager might not be outstanding but he is the same age as Whittaker and has more international caps for his country than Whittaker has for his country, surely he has more to offer than Whittaker, which, I might add, shouldn't be too hard.........

Great point, ally obviously dznt rate mcmillan but i think the boy hznt nad a chance.same story wiyh young perry who i think is being held back by boca(who i rate highly)n playing various ppl ahead of him.now celik in and fleck out, again, without a run in the team.i really hsd high hopes for us when walter went n expected us to be a bit more expansive.we need to get some youngsters in the team to save money,in effect with big davie n flecky out celik has taken the wages n has to hit the ground running.ally would be under pressure if he wznt such a legend. blueforyou

Has Estonia got two EPL right backs ahead off Jagger for Estonia, naw they have not.So that is not a great post.Whittaker has Hutton and Martin, getting first team football there every week.So the amount off caps Jagger has is irelivent, when he is playing for such a small nation.Even if that small nation are improving, bye reaching the Euro play offs. They say Jagger is a attacking right back to,just like Whittaker.Lets hope we play Wallace at left back. And Celik and Aluko on the wings. And hope to make more chances for Jelavic and Healy.A.M

Listened to Talk Sport. They were discussing their top teams having a B team in the lower leagues or 'feeder' type teams.
I think we should look at it up here.
Regular team games for the squad players who are not in the running for 1st team/subs selection, younger players and players returning from injury etc I think would benefit along with the management team in being able to see squad players perform regularly in a meaningful team game.
I know there used to be the Reserve League with very little interest. But a revamp of this or allowing 'B' teams into the lower divisions could benefit all concerned. If the crowds were to be about 2 thousand for home games, then this is more than some of the SPL midweek games and bigger than most of the lower divisions. If prices were set right then people who cannot make SPL games could be attracted and take their kids along.
Obviously teams who have been waiting to join the Scot League would be against a feeder type team, but if that is the case then extend the Leagues and maybe look at some of the Junior teams coming in also.
There is the question of Cup games if allowed into the League but I am sure something could be sorted out as the SFA fixed the draws for years!
I don't think many pitches could handle SPL, some Euro, Cup and 2nd 11 games in the first half of the season so this would have to be looked into.
I just think that Murray Park takes the youngsters and players to a certain level but then there is a void between there and first team football if you are not in the frame for a game.
Am sure there are points I have missed that just bomb the idea right out and might be a load of BS to others.
I feel that there are a number of players in squads appearing to be just that, a number and who are getting paid to be that, but who would prefer the chance to prove themselves in regular meaningful games and if they fail to do so then they can move on.
What do you think?

Believable6 Unbelievable0

I think its a great idea and dont see too many negatives in it ..rangers ,celtic maybe hearts b sides in say the 2nd division with no promotion that way they wouldnt stop any of the smaller clubs progressing .it would give our younger players competitive football and it would surely increase attendances at these clubs giving them extra revenue .ie old firm are away from home and fans cant get to game they could take there kids to likes of rangers B v arbroath and would add a good few hundred onto the gate that they wouldnt normally get as for the cup just exclude the B sides from entering ..it works in spain and look at them they are world champions and have great young players coming through ..for too long SFA have been scared of change ..WELL I THINK ITS TIME AS OUR GAME NEEDS IT

Agree5 Disagree0

Guys i think this a great idea but what i would do is make ALL Rangers B and Celtic B home games for the lesser clubs so that both old firm clubs are always away from home. This way Ibrox and Leggo lands pitch will not get over used and the lesser clubs will have more home games and more people through their gates and will make a lot more money. This will benefit Rangers etc as players will be playing every week in competitive games!

assuming he passes his medical it looks like we've signed Celik and also Jaeggar (spelling) I've read that the honduran guy has impressed as well so that would be 3 players in and with weir and fleck (albeit on loan) moved out with rumors that broadfoot will be next that would be 3 out. surely that would still leave a budget to bring in a striker without moving any one else out. ed out of 10 whats our chances of bagging a new striker?

What's everyone's thoughts on this team GB? Forgot the politics that goes with it, do you think it's a good idea & if you got the call would you go?

My only beef Is the Scottish players might not get a game infact I think they would be lucky to get the bench

Thoughts ?

Lenny

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Don't want anything to do with it, can u get any more English than Stuart pearce? Can't stand the man, GB will get pumped anyway

Agree0 Disagree2

There is a fear for the home nations. That they will make us become one football team. We would lose scotland, england, NI and wales. However we might win something then :D

Agree1 Disagree1

I think it is down to the individual player and club. But I think you are right about being played as I think Pearce has an idea of his team already. He'll want players from all home countries in the squad to reflect GB, but playing them will be different.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Could not agree more mate

Agree3 Disagree2

Yep, our young players seem to be able to get to a certain point in their development and somehow don't manage to push on to become first team regulars.

Fleck and Wylde recent examples where they burst onto the scene, get a few games play well initially and then seem to regress. Don't know what the answer is but its a waste of talent and surely a decent way of generating income.
