Went to see a very good customer yesterday to hand in a few gifts as a thank you for there business over the last year ( Rangers take note, the customer who spends his cash in my business) it's important to say thanks for the business. Without them my business is no more.

Anyway I got talking to my customer who advised me he was trying to contact a lady at Ibrox who he has been dealing with for 15 years in the corporate sales. My client takes a corporate box at Ibrox for all home games at must spend £30k + at Ibrox every year.
He was frustrated at not being able to contact the lady so he sent an email to ask what's going on in relation to getting additional tickets. About a week later he got a bit of an abrupt phone call from Mr Liambias ask what his problem was.
During the conversation it transpires the lady who had looked after his for the last 15 years had been paid off.
Mr Liambias told him he should deal with some guy called Neil from now on.
He also to him the costs savings are starting from the bottom up.
It strikes me as odd a customer who is looking for additional tickets for a match where the stadium is half empty has to send an email to complain about the service. Mr Liambias will need to have a better vision and understanding of how important the paying customer is to any business. No customers no business. Mr Ashley will only win the trust of the fans when he actually invests cash by the tens of millions into Rangers. Until then it will be a stand off full of mistrust.

I have been in Ibrox for 2 years and I miss going to watch the Rangers but
The Rangers at present are not the team or the club I love and followed all over Europe. If we don't have trust we have nothing to build from.

I wish Ally all the best as he is a good man but it's not worked out as well as we had all wanted Ally included.
Just suppose it was going fantasticly well for Ally with new star kids coming through Murray park and Ally was being discussed as the next Walter Smith and out of the blue Ally handed in his notice
and left this 12 month contract after a week, the fans would call him a deserters the guy can't win.
Merry Christmas to you all

So the rangers at present aren't the same club??But if we where winning & playing good football we would be rangers the club??. Far to much of this is the club rangers when history continuation etc is involved, & debts lawsuit's, fraud squad police etc are not rangers. oldco newco tomato tamato, bottom line is it's all totally royally messed up. If Sherlock, Agatha Christy, Wee Columbo, Ironside, Taggart all got together even that lot would be none the wiser!!! Monday's AGM will probably leave us with more questions than answers, but of late that's the rangers way. Rant over, as if start about the 3amigos ad be here till new year!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the prob is ally is trying to much to be Walter smith, he basically plays the same tactics as ws played In His
Final Couple of years without the bigger budget

Agree0 Disagree0

How was he trying to contact the lady by letter or phone? Surely someone could have informed him about his lady friend not working there anymore, Derek llambias has'nt half rolled his sleeves up, he's personally returning calls about tickets.

P. s what did he actually complain about, not being able to speak to a women who doesn't work there anymore?

Agree0 Disagree0

@23 rangers
Good post and highlights how unfair this cost cutting excercise really is, I actually know who the person you refer to and the cost saving is minimal, if as you mention the cost savings are from the bottom up then rangers will struggle to provide any service never mind a good service
They should be starting from the boardroom down, I can give them some suggestions if they need them!

Agree0 Disagree0

N2. Your are right with your post, the difference between walter smith an d ally is, smith had good players, players that done as they were told, they had respect for walter smith. the current team may shout about respect for ally, but they have not got the skill nor the legs to play the smith way.

Agree0 Disagree0

He was complaining about not receiving a response to a phone call he made looking to discuss tickets with his contact of 15 years. He thought it odd he had not received a reply to the 3 phone calls made to Ibrox to request a call back to discuss additional tickets.
The tone of your reply is poor my friend.
The team we love and know have disappeared what we have is a shadow of what Glasgow Rangers should be.
I was brought up in Guys like Cooper, Jim Bett and John Mcleland & Ally McCoist
Boys who loved Rangers not the current board of directors who have little or no interest in Rangers apart from filling Thair pockets full of cash

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry mate, but it didn't sound right to me, Derek llambias personally taking care of complaints if true, can only be a good thing, we have been a shadow of what we should be for a few years now, the circumstance we found our self in seen to that, a think mike Ashley will be a good thing for us tbh, things may get worse before it gets better with regards to key players sold, but if it gets us on a solid financial footing then so be it, many fans may get what they have been crying for on here for years, yeah that's right kyle mcausland start getting a game lol

Agree0 Disagree0

At No4 Therealranger

How poor is the set up at Ibrox when a loyal member of staff with 15 + services gets paid off and we are struggling to offer the most basic of business function to sell our product to a customer who is looking for tickets. This is not good business practice this is madness at best.
You stated you know this lady personally well I would like to wish her good luck in finding another job.
I work for a company owned by a venture capitalist and every penny is accounted for and we run a tight ship and we forecast and stick to a 5 year business plan. It's about time Rangers put a decent business plan on the table
So we could see where we are going and what the long term plan is.
In the short term where is the next lot of working capital going to appear from
We don't need any more loans we need investors
Loans against assets are stripping the club of any kind of stable fuiture

I think cutting costs is exactly what rangers need, across the board, are we never happy

Agree0 Disagree0

Not nice to see anyone losing there job wether it be the manager or a lady with the company for 15+ But there can't be no room for sentiment here, we are losing money rapidly, so if a total clearout is needed then soo be it, no person is bigger than the club, really hope regardless of witch league we are in next season that a total clear out of all playing staff who shouldn't be here

Morning fellow Bears. I hope that Monday's AGM brings some closure and indeed some progress. If funds are raised through a share issue surely the money will be there to let McCoist go by the end of the year? I've been openly critical of McCoist over the months but you can't help feeling that he was working under impossible conditions with a seemingly endless conveyer belt of crooks dipping into the Ibrox coffers. Perhaps Ashley will be our financial saviour. Maybe King will return with money this time. It has been tough but I'm off to Tenerife for Christmas and New Year and will be wearing my Rangers top with pride when I go into the Ibrox Bar in Costa Adeje for the matches against Hibs and Dumbarton. WATP and a merry Christmas Ed and all fellow posters.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If you think there will be some sort of closure after Monday's AGM then maybe you have been on the Sangria a bit too early. Also how can you say Ally's job has been impossible? He has had the luxury of a wage bill of £6-7m against part time opposition. No other Rangers manager has had such an advantage over his competition. Ally has been more than well paid for his job and is only still in the job as there is no money to sack him. Add to that he has enjoyed higher pay than some Rnglish premiership managers so life hasn't been all that impossible for Ally

Agree0 Disagree0

Merry Christmas to you too Stewie! I don't like Sangria anyway, I'm more the Spanish brandy type. Seriously, yes he's had the budget but he can't kick every ball for every player all the time and the crap going on in the background must have been a huge distraction. But I'm glad he is going.

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on Stewie, Super Ally has probably had the kind of financial advantages over the teams he has played oSpot on Stewie, Super Ally has probably had the kind of financial advantages over the teams he has played of any manager anywhere in the world, EVER. Even this season I believe one player, Jig, earns roughly the entire salaries of the Hearts first eleven.

And he's backed every chancer that has walked into Ibrox, so why has managing the club been so impossible for him?

Agree0 Disagree0

@2

I agree he can't kick every ball for the players but he continually picks these same players. Anyway enjoy your trip and your brandy. Hopefully by the time u return there will be a new manager in place but we won't hold our breath

Its xmas everyone appears to feel sorry for ally the master tactician the unselfish manager generous to a fault gets on great with every new c e o does describe him?

Agree0 Disagree0

Jyf. i'd put my shirt on it you will learn nothing at the agm, it will be all smoke screens and mirrors and primises that this will happen and that will happen. but, nothing will happen. what you should be doing is demanding to see the deeds to see whose name is on it. not just take their word for it. bloody well demand to see the deeds for real. too many lies all the time and I don't expect anything different this time

OK only two days to go then all the moaner on here can go along to the AGM and let the board and Ally know what you think to their faces instead of just posting on here, get ripped right into them if that's the way you feel and get it all off your chest, that woman at Ibrox didn't hide behind a keyboard she let rip into easdales face and she at least recognised who the enemy are and can tell friend from foe.

Dear fellow posters, it's been a tough year for us. we have probably the worst ever team to wear the famous Jersey and we have the worst ever manager. coupled to that we have a board who know no shame. however as Christmas approaches its time to now focus on family and friends as in my opinion is the greatest time of year. so to my fellow bears on here. we have laughed and argued but all said and done I would just like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and hope we all have a happy 2015. colin.

that's now 3 times i've tried to post about the 10% of shares rule and it's not been posted. Thought this site was all about passing information to other fans???????

{Ed001's Note - if you look at your previous posts you would see it has been posted, will you stop whining like a baby for no reason other than being too lazy to check for yourself!}

I think it's time everyone took a step back to reality on McCoist. Manager of Glasgow Rangers it goes without doubt he is not good enough and has made many many mistakes. Us fans think we could all do better and I couldn't argue that. Ally doesn't cut it as our manager and didn't when we had the Jelavics and likes, but I take my hat off to him for putting up with the circus that has been my club for the past 3 yrs big salary or not let's be honest how many managers would have done. My hero as a player but never a manager not as long as there's a whole in my arse. Time to go now before you destroy your legendary status pls

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bruce, I agree to the bulk of the content of your post but it is not necessary to have the Jelavics etc. to put together a good team playing exciting football. Especially, at the levels we have been playing.
However, I think people, like myself, should lay off the man after his comments. Namely, that he accepts the criticism of his management abilities but we should not believe he did not give his all.

Agree0 Disagree0

You will find that the majority of people have posted with criticism of his lack of managerial abilities. As far as I'm concerned his comments change nothing and that as a manager he is inept, over paid and hasn't justified even getting minimum wage for the job he has done. No matter what happens Ally will walk away from the club with pocket bulging while the fans are left with more uncertainty, a shocking football team and a very bleak future

Mixed feelings about tomorrows game. I have never chosen work over going to ibrox but I have tomorrow. But I feel like earning myself abit more than throwing money to allys pocket and sit boar for hours as the football and atmsphhere is dyer. A empty ibrox will give he board there andwer from the fans that we want them and ally oit.still hope we win as I would never wish a defeat on my own team

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I decided a while back I could no longer go to Ibrox to watch that awful garbage trying to masquerade as football. Can't believe just how poor the football is and how Ally having played at the top level can be so clueless. There are no exciting players at Ibrox and it's sad to see how many good players have went backwards under Ally. I only hope that he won't be the manager going into the new year and that people will start returning to the games. However it looks like that the few good players we have will be sold in January and we will be left with the same players who have consistently let the club down

Agree0 Disagree0

In full agreement with everything you sayd mate

First time posting but regular visitor to the site. Of for 2 weeks and my son of 10 says "great can we go through to ibrox a few times" I've just had a long conversation to him trying to explain what's going on and why there's no chance of going till this mess and manager situation is sorted out. Crying shame as I love taking him but just totally fed up of what's happening at the club at the moment.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why are you punishing your boy because of your principals? Every parent makes sacrifices for their children and if your boy is keen to go and cheer on the Gers then good on him. Support your team.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Dec 2014 08:27:15
@1:You can't question the guys principals if he has made a decision on this,I was in a similar position myself recently and did the same.Someone posted, why should the kids miss out?I said they ARE missing out by going. The man is instilling his own values in the boy,and it wasn't an easy decision as he said.Respect his decision.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gkk who am I to question any parents decisions but bobster posted his opinions and actions on an open forum and I commented on his action I don't for one minute claim that I know best but if one of my family asked me to take them to Ibrox I would be more than happy to oblige.

Agree0 Disagree0

I get that you might think it's a bit unfair on not taking him BUT the amount of times we've went and watched total Crap on the field And with all the boycotts and abuse getting flung around which I think is justified, I'm better keing him away till this is sorted out OR we get a new manager in and gives youth a chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 And he still wants to go back good on him!

"And I can assure everybody I am 100% committed and focused for the remainder of my contract.
"The Rangers fans would expect nothing less than that. "

Naw Ally, what the Rangers fans expect is a Manager who knows what the feck he us doing. Not a totally inept, tactically unaware, overpaid manager who is playing the worst football I have ever witnessed from a Rangers team in 45 years, who continually plays players out of position, who will not give some of the younger guys an opportunity but would rather put them out on loan or sell them off on the cheap only for them to pick up awards a few weeks later, who asks the National team Manager for our player back from his first call up because we had a game against Alloa (no disrespect, but how embarrassing), who takes in some of his old mates for a last pay day to help him out and allows them to be paid much much more than they are worth or the club can afford. Need any more?

If ally knew or was at all interested in what the majority of Rangers fans expect then he would have walked away long before now.

Rant over, but I am fed up with all his patronising bulls**t.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Which of his "old mates " would you not have signed and why?
