Wonder what the DOF is thinking right now with regards to our performances. Don't think we have a scouting network in place yet since Frank left but maybe someone can clarify that? but I feel there is still time to recruit players in and definately a striker and full back needs to be priority. PC and board must recognise this and act accordingly. we need better than Walker I think.

Some of you lot on here are utterly mental and need you heads examined! The ones calling for Pedro's head are the same ones who were calling for him to empty out all Warburtons dross, and are now the same ones greetin because that dross is scoring goals for their new clubs! You were also the ones shouting for Warburton and Weir to be given the job in the first place.

Have you leaned nothing from last 4 years? How many times do we have to go through this cycle before you people understand you can't just buy a new team over the summer and expect it to work within a couple of weeks? So we sack Pedro, bring in The next manager who plays a different style of football and doesn't like the players Pedro bought. He then spends 4 months trying to fit square pegs in round holes, then in January he empties 7 of Pedro's players out and brings in another new team, who YOU expect to hit the ground running!
Do you see the pattern here guys?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if we get within 10-15 points of Celtic this season and maybe win a cup, that will be huge progress! We can then add 2 or 3 quality players to this team, instead of trying to build another new one!

Wind your necks in and get on with it!
Pedro is here for the foreseeable future so you might as well try and help him and our club and get behind him!

20 Aug 2017 15:30:40
We're already 5 Point's behind it'll soon be more you are kidding yourself if you think Pedro has what it takes.

20 Aug 2017 16:28:10
So what's the alternative? Do we just keep hiring and firing managers and building a new team every season until somebody gets it right and wins their first 3 games?
I'm not the one that's kidding myself! A large proportion of our support needs a serious reality check!

20 Aug 2017 17:05:55
Big-J70

you are spot on! there is no quick fix 1 step at a time!

20 Aug 2017 17:11:20
if we get within 10-15pts if celtic and win a cup.

with the greatest of respect i think you are either at the wind up or missed your medication today

we are a country mile away from either of those

i'm not sure if you actually watch rangers or not but that's one of the worst hearts team i've seen at ibrox in 30yrs yet we still struggled to make any decent chances against them. we looked flat, one paced and ran out of ideas in the first half

Hibs who just got promoted tore us apart at home and btw they were well on top before jack got sent off. there's a reality check

aberdeen and our smelly neighbours have both strengthened and have 9pts out of 9 along with st johnstone none of whom we have even played yet

2 of pedro's marquee signings who cost serious money can't even get on the pitch - that worries me. the first defeat at home to aberdeen in 27yrs, the record hammering at home in the OF game and the utter humiliation of our worst ever European result yet fans who highlight all of these as genuine concerns need a reality check.

i beg to differ

20 Aug 2017 17:16:58
A voice of reason big j. It'll never catch on you know but I'm with you on this one. Yes I could be happier with some of the decisions Pedro has made but we must give him time for his team to gel properly. Constant change isn't good for anyone concerned.
Disappointed about yesterday's result if I'm honest and do think we need a bit more up front.

20 Aug 2017 17:19:37
Everyone needs to calm down. This team are still gelling together. Last years team was a shambles, we had no idea what was going on. Every player was playing their own game running around like headless chickens and we were getting dominated and torn apart often.

This team are def more organised and will get better.

I' will agree that we have let too many attackers go and would have kept garner and waghorn unless w replace the was brought in.

We should have replaced McKay with walker straight away aswell.

I think we are def a few attaching players short going into the season. I'd Like us to try and get hyndman back and sign walker and a couple of others.

20 Aug 2017 17:48:24
We need to give Pedro a couple of seasons not a couple of weeks. Big-j70 and Bigandy are bang on. We need to build the team and it takes time. But I tell you what, it will be quicker if we get behind them and support them, take the pressure of them and let them play. DUnbarBlue

20 Aug 2017 19:09:25
Yes take one step at a time but it has to be a forward step, we are going backwards, this time last season after 3 games we had 7 points. Are you talking about giving him 2 seasons irrespective of results? If you are I say its you that are mental and need to get a grip.

20 Aug 2017 19:49:33
Didn't read the whole of the OP's post after calling PC's critics 'utterly mental' and inaccurtely claiming we were all calling for him to 'empty out all Warburtons dross'.

Speaking for myself I never once called for an emptying out of Warburton's signings.

As for the season so far: the worst ever result for a British club in Europe - and I'm including NI and Welsh teams - and already 5 points behind Celtic with not a single Bear thinking we'll win the league. We have actually went backwards since the departure of Warbs, who incidentally seems to be doing rather well at Forest.

20 Aug 2017 20:25:21
I'm no mental πŸ‘ΉπŸ˜€

20 Aug 2017 20:28:40
Wasn't long before someone said let the team gel. The same nonsense that was said about Warburtons team this time last year and after a better start than this season. People need to realize that the manager is clueless and some of the players brought in are worse than the ones who have left.

Pedro has had an appalling record so far with a Spanking at home to Celtic, a complete lie down to them in a semi final, the most embarrassing result in European history and a poor record at home against the better teams. It's only going to go one way and it isn't closer to them.

It is painfully obvious we needed more of a goal threat well obvious to everyone but the manager. Only 2 shots on target yesterday against one of the poorest Hearts sides ever to visit Ibrox in years.

20 Aug 2017 23:38:36
I'm disappointed with lack of patience with our support. i'm not happy with 1 point from 2 home games but we can't keep firing managers after a few games. Every team that has went down that road goes backwards. let's give Pedro a chance and if no progress is being made by turn of year then board can have a look at things after all if we don't get behind team then what chance have we got of progressing.

21 Aug 2017 00:04:17
Have a look at Alex Fergusons record at Man Utd initially. Shockingly poor but he got time. Time equalled success. Rangers historically have managers for a long time. which gave success. i'm not saying that PC is the answer but this Donald Trump hire and fire scenario is flawed at best. He is under huge pressure and yet has the balls to give Hardie a go. Lots of you have said on here to give Hardie a go! My point of view is Miller onto bench and Morelos and Herrera up front. 4-4-2 is how it needs to be for now. If teams play one up front against us go 2-5-3.before u all kick off its a defensive 4-5-1 :)

21 Aug 2017 01:19:27
To all you gellers. Wait till the team gels was the mantra for the first half of last season until we realised that Warburton wasn't up to the job. I just don't see Pedro being up to it either. He looks like a lost soul, in fact I call him Perdu. I agree that we can't keep changing managers, so I can see a long slog until his contract runs out or he falls on his sword. But please will you all stop telling us to wait till the team to gels. It ain't going to happen and the manager canny manage.

21 Aug 2017 04:53:45
I can't believe all the people on here wanting rid of PC. If you keep getting rid of managers after a few bad results, guess what guys, it'll be the same with every new manager and the players he wants to bring to the club. As a club we'll never get anywhere, please give the guy time.

21 Aug 2017 10:10:40
aye we were waiting for the team to gel last year and it didn't happen. that's because the midfiled warburton brought in 2 of them got injured and the scouse idiot got sacked. we were then left with holt and halliday until January where we got another midfield in Hyndman and toral.

20 Aug 2017 09:32:29
How long are you all willing to give pedro? Me? I say get him out now before its too late, which it almost is by the way, we are 5 pts off st johnstone and aberdeen with 3 games played. pedro is an impostor as a manager his league record at Ibrox is played 8 won 3 drew 2 and lost 3 that's not even a 38% win record AT HOME and 38% is a fail in any test I've been involved in. I say cut our losses and send him back from whence he came and take his duds with him. For those of you that are going to give me stick for this post I ask what's your threshold? I've reached mine!

20 Aug 2017 10:05:17
I expect at turn of year a review will be carried out and targets set. He deserves to take his team to end of season and assess again from there. Let his team settle in and it's very early doors to be making panic decisions

20 Aug 2017 10:25:49
I honestly like Pedro as a man and think he'd be good company to have a pint with.

But Rangers manager? No thanks. He's good at giving the press a quote, banning green boots or whatever but I have yet to detect any tactical skills. I suppose he'll get the same length of time Cathro was given at Hearts and speaking of Hearts, we were one of the few teams that Cathro's side actually managed to look good against.

Not looking forward to the OF game next month and on that subject why does Pedro think it's a good idea not to watch Celtic in action in a vital European game. Does he think this will endear him to the Rangers fans? Because I think it is just plain stupid.

And some of those hyped up signings have to have big question marks beside them. Especially Pena.

20 Aug 2017 11:10:51
Ross county should be his last game enough is enough

20 Aug 2017 12:34:35
He needs to go asap. He hasn't got a clue and questions need to be asked about the logic in picking him as manager. Someone with no knowledge of Scottish football and no real pedigree. I really fear we won't even qualify for Europe under him and some of the players he has brought in Dalcio and Herrera look awful. Miller is finished and it's staggering he has finished the last 2 games when he has contributed nothing in either. Windass was back to his awful self again yesterday and we couldn't break down what was a very poor Hearts side. There are 5 big teams in Scotland and under Pedro we have managed to only win 1 game at home, drawn 1 and lost 3. It's simply unacceptable and it's sad that we seem to have sunk even lower than we did under Warburton

20 Aug 2017 22:01:49
Jyf, Brian etc. I accept that we are no where near standard of Rangers teams from past we all loved and enjoyed but all this get rid of Pedro and players are duds etc is fine but how do you think we can pay for this. Pay off Pedro, our coaches and more dud players, replace them with who? how much? Players to make an instant difference, takes big money. We do all this and that doesn't work, what then. We start the whole thing off again? I don't think it's me who is mental, I don't actually think any of us are mental, unrealistic maybe at worst. I could actually appreciate some good football yesterday and to be fair we should have pumped them. It's all about opinions and this is mine.

20 Aug 2017 08:06:21
What's annoying me is he said we can't buy Weiss as they will want 2.5 mil for him, then we go and spend that amount and more on Herrera and the guy with Soul-glo in his hair to sit on the bench. It doesn't add up.

20 Aug 2017 09:53:28
Did we actually pay the figures quoted though as they where undisclosed and the media where just guessing.

20 Aug 2017 10:07:22
I've said before the figures being mentioned are miles off! We haven't even spent half of what's being quoted. The days of spending 2.5m for 1 player are well gone

20 Aug 2017 10:25:38
Team crying out for Jo Dodoo.

20 Aug 2017 03:22:36
Should Kenny Miller be first name on the team sheet and playing 90 mins week in week out?

And the method of 5 captains? . does this not take competitiveness out of the team because 5 players are guaranteed their place?

20 Aug 2017 08:03:03
Joelifish
After watching the game yesterday I would ask why Kenny miller gets a game and what was his role? Was Wallace fit? And for all those commenting when leaving the ground about guys banging in goals for other clubs now they have left Rangers, there's obviously not the same pressure at these clubs and that's in part due to our expectations. 5 points behind them with 3 games gone is simply not good enough.

20 Aug 2017 09:24:20
Playing Miller is like playing a man down atm! Yesterday's game he was nowhere near Alfredo, his first touch was like an elephant! IMO he's a weak link, also need 2 full backs and LM situation sorted!

20 Aug 2017 09:41:03
Miller never has been known for his first touch to be honest.
Seriously worried after yesterday's game. Hearts were there for the taking, we should have been jumping after last week's poor result. But we looked to have taken a step backwards. Hope it's a one off, but PC seriously needs to speak to Murty as I am beginning to fear the worst already!

20 Aug 2017 09:54:51
Murty πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

20 Aug 2017 10:07:53
Miller doesn't hold his position its un-balancing our attacking play would like herrera and morelos given a couple of games together

20 Aug 2017 11:30:11
All the old guys banging them in for fun and not playing along side Miller any more. Makes you think.

21 Aug 2017 00:09:07
Miller biggest weapon has always been he doesn't have a clue where his first touch is going and neither does the opposition. Difference is that now he is too slow to get there first and make it look intentional!

20 Aug 2017 02:00:56
Cant believe the hype over alves take a good look at him bears. An absolute donkey.

20 Aug 2017 08:01:45
A donkey πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Nae bor mate. Not even going to bother arguing this one. It would be a waste of time.

20 Aug 2017 01:56:18
You know what really annoys me if Rangers were to walk away with a 1-0 win against a team that parked the bus You would all be singing their praises I think the criticism is way too harsh just now! Start to judge PC after the first 10 games

If it's anything less than what I have (below) then i guess you can say he's not quite good enough for the job

P W D L PTS
10 7 1 2 22

We should then kick on, considerably from there as the team start gelling and have a better chemistry with each other

20 Aug 2017 01:28:07
I still reckon the captain should be Bruno Alves for Rangers and NOT Wallace He's simply not vocal enough There must be somebody that does some shouting and demanding on the park Something that is totally absent from Barry Ferguson days

20 Aug 2017 00:33:32
What is wrong at rangers? Martyn waghorn and Joe garner are scoring for fun now! Waghorn is joint top scorer in championship with garner 1 behind . moh scored again today, even wee Barry McKay scored today .

20 Aug 2017 07:19:43
I would say there is a number of reasons that these guys are performing after leaving Ibrox. Firstly - It is easier to score against teams that don't put 2 banks of 4 in the box. Secondly - It's easy to get our supporters to turn on you. One bad game and apparently you aren't Rangers class these days. Thirdly - Clearly the management trained them extremely well. I know i'll get slated for this, but before Ibrox, Waggie couldn't score in a brothel and now his game has completely changed. Garner has a whole season at Preston where he barely scored. St Johnstone came straight out and said O'hall is by far a better than when he was there last. Mckay has the touch, pace and ability to go far in the game. Going from playing at Ibrox with 50,000 fans baying for your blood when you haven't scored in the first 20mins, to playing for Ipswich Town in front of 25,000 tractor lads. Its not even comparable.

20 Aug 2017 12:29:01
I don't think Rangers have improved any of the players you mention at all, apart from Mckay. If we had improved them the 'professionals' at the club wouldn't let them go for such a snip. We obviously lost a lot of money on Garner. My gut feeling is that the ex-players that are doing well at the other club are doing well because things are going well for them, for now. As soon as the novelty of a new club wears off and a couple of poor results, they will fall back into gaining their normal player ratings (e. g., one week Mkcay gets a 9, next week he's a 4).

After saying all that though, I'm not seeing a huge difference between the players that have left and the new ones that are in. Very concerning considering the money we have spent.

20 Aug 2017 21:32:38
Alves, Jack, Dorrans will make a difference and possibly Morelos but on current form you have to? some of the signings made by Caixinha namely Dalcio, Herrera, and Pena but it's early in the season.

20 Aug 2017 00:23:44
Everything was flat right from the start. Atmosphere, performance and even the gaffer on the sidelines. In previous matches he's been going mental on the touching and kicking every ball, his passion and commitment was there to be seen! Our players were fired up because of that. But today he wasn't anywhere near as animated and I think that resulted in a less committed performance from the players.
