Jelavic has only played one competitive game for Croatia yes !. . . that was the LAST competitive game , and has started EVERY SINGLE GAME since !

The fact he has only started one competitive match don't mean s* t , yes their is a rule that a player should have played 75% of their country's games , but that's just the minor criteria.


The Scottish Football Association have the final say on whether or not to issue a endorsement towards a certificate of sponsorship for the player and use the Home Office criteria, meaning Jelavic's first application will fail.

An appeals panel will ultimately weigh up whether or not the player is an internationally established player and whether another professional within the UK could not perform a similar role. That appeals panel typically sits within three to five working days of an appeal submission.

Unless Jelavic has a degree from a course which was taught in English, he will also have to sit an English language test with the SQA before he is granted a work permit to enter the country as a Tier Two immigrant. However, he can come into the country under Tier Five and would be given one year to pass an English test.

So taking that into account , all you celtic fans can expect Nikica Jelavic along with Vladimir Weiss at Parkhead on the 24th of October , AND I CANT WAIT!

Does anyone know if Jelavic is in Glasgow as he has to sign before 5pm to register to play against Hibs on Sunday?.
He is at murray park as we speak but even if he did sign by 5pm i don't think he will play on sunday as he still needs a work permit and it doesn't seem likely that he will get it at the first attempt.

And yeah, weiss was a man city reserve, the guy is 20 so that's fairly impressive in my book also he's a slovakian international.

You say there facts but there not, beattie played week in week out in his first season at stoke and some of last season before he fell out with the manager, you have never heard of jelavic well ill tell you a bit about him he scored 21 goals in the austrian league last season and 3 against you in the europa league hes a regular in the croation team and another fact is hes going to score more than any tim this season. Two days ago use were bragging about how weiss would be great and now weve got him ur saying hell be crap that's a typical tim mentality good for you but crap for anuone else.
