After liquidation, I'm shocked we are paying Premier League wages to get out of Div 3. Ally was a legend as a player but will go down in history as the worst manager we ever had. I still don't trust Green. Close call between Whyte and him in the lies stakes. Hope we don't end up another Portsmouth.

I know Ian black should never be on 6k a week, animal.

If Broadfoot was on £9k a week, Black deserves £6k a week. Listen the eight players wages that we have signed will be on less than Davis's wage and Broadfoots wage alone, never mind the other 20 odd that left.

all of the crazy tackles I've seen this season ( none punished with even a yellow!!) have been against him, most in the first 5 mins.

You can't really compare the new signings wages with Davis mcgregors etc. there was more income available to rangers when they were in the spl although through mismanagement you wouldn't think so. remember season tickets were a lot more expensive in the spl than they are. Now. Fans need to remember that there had to be some sort of carrot dangled to the new players to go to 3div football and that was a good wage. There is now a transfer ban so I'm assuming next years ticket sales will be taken into consideration for this summers spending. I'd take greens comments about having a healthier ballence sheet than Celtic with a pinch of salt as he'll be lucky to break eave till next summer when st at renewed.

This is the team we have for two years so forget about this and that and GET behind it, we need to give them the confidence to get us back to the spl, so enough moaning and back the REAL players whom want to play for our club.

How many times do you need this explaining. No player can be registered , unless they are under 18 years of age. Some people should have a read of posts on here before typing sh!t out. I wonder how long it's going to be before some other fool post, but we can sign loans and frees can't we. Please try and get to grips with the SFA registration process.

Is it just me or did Ally say 4-5 players? We have let go of Boca who is one of our best players even though he is not on form, DT is not as good as he so we have reduced our quality yet again. I am sick of Ally talking BS and producing nothing.

We have already got a squad strong enough for the 3rd n 2nd div and we are going to bring through some home grown.

I believe he is trying his best, this team is more than good enough so BACK IT and stop moaning.

Ally said he was looking to bring in 4-5 players before the deadline closed. It didn't happen, why? could be a mulititude of reasons, but the players we have brought in over the summer should be well capable of helping us progress up the lower leagues. Remember we're not awash with money, so just be happy with what we've got and support the team/manager.

OP- so we are in the 4th tier in scotland and you didnt expect a drop in the quality of the players we could bring in, take a look at yerself man! who did you expect us to sign?

The transfer that caught my eye was 17 year old Matthew Kennedy going from Kilmarnock to Everton for a "nominal fee". The lad only made a few starts for Killie and must be a good prospct as Chelsea and Sunderland were also interested.
Very sad we are selling our young players at such a young age eg Wilson to Liverpool and bringing in very average foreign journeymen.

We're not interested in attendances, seats already sold lots of blokes i know bought their ticket but don't go every week purely because we"ve won the league before it's started. Champions league you"ll see 60,000 x 3 thats our main interest . No he hasn't - reality has kicked in. 3div to 2nd Div there is no need for players on stupid wages, keep the money till we reach div1

You're the mug. Green has done a brills job. The euro players mentioned were at a time when we were still an SPL side. We're now in the 4th tier and still attracting some tasty prospects. Go and be bitter somewhere else while we enjoy the journey back to the top.

1) Please people surly you realise that the 5 players from euro's would have been if we stayed in the SPL so ffs give it a rest it really is getting boring.

Don't be so stupid, at the time of the euros we were in SPL. Clearly when we got into div three we need to look at a different calibre of player. We are more than strong enough to win div three by twenty points.

You will be glad to hear that when back in SPL we will sign better players. If you are entered in a moped race you don't buy a Harley.

Green has done ok, would have liked to see another two in but at least he got Templeton who was main target.

By the looks of today's result and CROWD at Parkhead, the fact that a competition without competition is not attractive appears to be coming true.

I know we have a transfer embargo for a year, but are allowed to sign under 18s I think. Does the embargo apply to free agents also, e.g. we cant sign anyone over 18 until Jan 2014?

We can sign any free agents etc after 1st sept next year. Am sure there might be a couple of players willing not to re-sign new contracts etc and come to us next sept.

Any under 18s can registered between now and then.

What I think ally and the boys have done is get as many experienced pros in as possible and then sign some under 18 prospects in the other windows giving a good mix of youth and experience

Made a post the other day saying I was worried about not getting any signing and now it's come to light! Aye temps is a real good player and take ma hat off to ally and Charles for getting um but I think we are now well short at the back a few injurys and suspensions and we will struggle in all competitions not to mention if we get a decent spl side away in the cups! Wee bit disappointed tbh

Can someone advise if we still have the option to sign under 18's? I think if that is the case then the team will be supplemented by a few on loan from Newcastle plus any under 18 good enough looking for a chance.

Rangers don't have any agreement with Newcastle over young players. The deal is over jersey sales, that's all.

Apparently the SFA's computer went down at 23:55 according to BBC website.Rangers submitted paperwork but to be confirmed whether it went through on time.
Seen your reply from earlier stating we should be strong enough to win div3.
I agree.We seem to have a good mix of experience and youth,this will give the younger players a chance to develop and hopefully be ready in 12 months to two years time.Eight players in since July and considering all our problems is not bad going.Think some people on here need to remember where we are and what or club has been through.

The funniest thing of all though is , when the season books still weren't shifting after Green slashed the price of them it took for Green to make some ridiculous comments which would only serve as a rally cry to a certain people he told you all "as long as the queue is at that side of the line Alistair will get all the players he wants". You queued, and you queued and queued a bit more and it was all in vain!
Ticketus have got their first installment and you lot have probably got the guarantee of 3rd division football next season . . . as long as Ally gets his 25 year contract!

Absolutely delighted to sign David Cooper Templeton and even more pleased that Celtic tried to steal him at the 11th hour but failed! {Ed039's Note - don't kow where that came from, as far as I am aware Celtic didn't make a bid)

Celtic tend to go for technically gifted, up and coming young players who show signs of ambition.
Going from playing Liverpool at Anfield in the Europa league to playing with the Ibrox franchise in Division 3 hardly shows that vital characteristic of ambition.

Francesco Stella is listed on the SFA website as a Rangers transfer ( waiting for international clearance )

I was told last night he has an Italian passport so wouldn't need international clearance - which I doubt he qualifies for anyway.

Winger David Templeton has signed for Rangers after Hearts accepted a bid from the Ibrox club.

Hearts confirmed Templeton had made the move but Ryan McGowan rejected a switch to the Third Division and opted to remain at Tynecastle.

Templeton has been with Hearts since 2007, making 81 appearances and scoring 11 goals.

Rangers earlier loaned captain Carlos Bocanegra to Racing Santander for a season while Maurice Edu completed his move to Stoke.

Templeton deal now confirmed, brilliant signing - fantastic deal for the Gers. I am worried however with the defence, Cribari looked very shaky against Falkirk and that was with Boca helping him through the match. Central defence is now very weak, but midfield and strikers looking good.

I dont know why people are having a dig at cribari! You werent watching the same game as me then cause it was boca that was the liability in defence. Im glad to see the back of him and goian in the window cause they werentat the races.

This is getting all too familiar. Once again deadline day passes with no signings(innoe templeton may still sign bt it's getting less likely). I never thought he wud even consider it.

What happened to being bush and getting six signings in. This is just not good enough. I was willing to give green a chance(just like I was Whyte) but once again we have been taken for mugs.

The gets fans show there support by selling out the stadium n snapping up season tickets n wot do we get, nothing! No disrespect to the players that are there just now, they will b ok for the third division, but even just one or two injuries or suspensions n we r well and truly ****ed. We hardly have enough players to fill the bench n this is us for a season and a half.

It is irrelevant whither Rangers sign or do not sign; what is more important is that Glasgow Rangers are on the rise.

All that the SFA & SPL have achieved is enhanced the most successful football clubs story to the word; highlighting not only our glorious history but also ensuring our future by gaining new support world wide!!

The SPL need to take a long hard look at them selves; short payments to the member clubs, windfall from CL only to go to SPL members, suggest that the commercial deals done with broadcasters not enough.

EBT is not about the striping of titles but only another smoke screen for SPL to use integrity as a means to try and prop up this organisation by imposing financial sanctions, and if Glasgow Rangers don't play ball the leverage is titles!!!
