Lennon said that worse things happened on the pitch that deserved a red card before scott brown. Please enlighten us neil, what was worse than delibrately fouling an opponent then kicking him for no reason than him being a superior footballer. Classless.

Gaz.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I kinda liked you more giz before the Eds gave you that well documented bitch-slap. But your entitled to your opinion so keep up the good (ish) work.

FTE {Ed001's Note - different Gaz.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Giz gaz or what ever your name is I personally be leave brown was stupid and was wrong, but if your account of a superior footballer is a player who was kept under controll and did nothing but run in to brick walls all night and then got his opposition player sent off for acting like he hit him in the back with a sledge hammer, then you will love the rest of your season, brown was wrong but south American football and Italian is the slur of acting in the game and I see balateli was at it as well last night, ther should be bigger punishments for this cheating when my kid even laughs at some of these guys acting when cheating after a tackle it really does make me think it's making a mockery of the age we are suppose to love

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant believe that person lennon os blaming neymar for brown fouling him then aiming a kick at him. Pathetic. Embarassing. Classless.

Gaz.

Agree0 Disagree0

@3 I can - always cheated never defeated that's his motto Gaz

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

@2, yes you are correct, would not want him in my team either, get a grip

Agree0 Disagree0

Whilst Sally mc costly is fleecing the good 'people' of ibrokes he will be happy that his loyal servants minds are distracted to other thing, such as one of best young manager in the game backing one of his players, and one of Scotland's bests players.
Away and sort out your own problems, which are aplenty, and let NL and Celtic deal with European football issues. TTTS

Agree0 Disagree0

I genuinely thought izaguirres two footed drop kick was worse

gersdaft

Agree0 Disagree0

Lennon has bought a team of journeymen barcelona not the same as they were and have no chance of winning cl

Agree0 Disagree0

Bayern will dominate the cl for the next few years

Agree0 Disagree0

#2 "got his opposition sent off"

are you serious? its people like you who keep thugs like brown playing.

Brown kicked his opponent for no reason at all.

Gaz.

Agree0 Disagree0

@10: apart from being a diving, play-acting b*stard, no reason at all. That's not to condone it, though, but many fans will believe players who dive deserve all they get.

Agree0 Disagree0

@11 does that apply to all diving play acting players even your own look at it this way would you celebrate or be in disgust if one of your players dived to win a penalty that wins your team the game you would celebrate so diving play actors only count if there the opposition

two games. zero points. we know how hard the champions league is. save us the hard luck stories. bottom of the group.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

On the day when Rangers post what are dire accounts you would really think having a kick at Celtic tonight would be a) rather missing the point of your own woes and b) at best churlish. We got beat 1-0 by one of the best teams around however we made what from that game? I'd say the guts of around £2m. Now here's a question for the gloating OP when did you last do that and more importantly when do you think you'll next do that?

Giving Celtic a kick today of all days is beyond laughable. We made about 10. 5% of your entire turnover for last season in 90 minutes, get your head round that!

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic got beat. (surely the yardstick for sport). or is it about money?

Get your head round that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Worst Barca team ever, could only pass themselves to the 18 yard box and then absolutely nothing to offer - we could have given that team a game!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ayr Bear it is about money, hence the reason Rangers are where they are, since league football began Rangers were never out of nor close to being out of the top division yet bad fiscal management from Murray followed by 9 months of Whyte and whoooops! it's off to Division 3 you go.

Now after such a demise I would think today's publication from Rangers needs a bit more serious scrutiny than Ally's programme notes on a Saturday, if you can't see that then modern football and its pitfalls are wasted on you Ayr Bear, get your head round that! But first removed the sand that is surrounding it.

Agree0 Disagree0

@4. you got beat, your captain is Brown the Clown. it's not about money. Played 2 won 0

Bottom of the group and behind ICT.

Agree0 Disagree0

The 1st thing a celtic fan does after seeing his team defend for 90 mins with 11 men or should I say 10 after brown kick out at a player, was come and read the rangers banter site.

Think that shows how much you really hate your own team just now.

Agree0 Disagree0

@7. Maybe we just needed cheering up. Celtic played well lastnite. No green brigade. Atmosphere was fantastic. Barca players at start of 2 nd half stood inin awe. celtic players & fans didn't embarrass Scottish football. ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Barca manager said"We have some excellent players. This match was the most demanding so far, Victor Valdes made important saves for us. '
I reckon that says it all Bring on Ajax

Agree0 Disagree0

Barcelona is not the tem it was 3 years ago and do celtic fans not realise barca had 4 players out and remember ac milan had 9 players out and celtic couldn't even get a point

Agree0 Disagree0

@3: you haven't seen much of Barca then, have you, if you think that was the worst team ever?

Agree0 Disagree0

Valdes made 1 save, or did I watch another match?

Agree0 Disagree0

@11. You must have changed channel.

Agree0 Disagree0

It was good to watch brown walking a poor poor captain in fact he's not right in the heid

Agree0 Disagree0

This "worst Barca team ever" have made the best start ever to a La Liga season this year. As for players out, well we beat them last year and we had 3 first picks missing one being Hooper so it's a nonsense to go down that road. As for the Milan result, yes it was disappointing because of the fact they had so many missing but the fact even you lot on here expected us to get a result in Milan tells its own story about how far we have come and how astronomically far ahead of your team we really are.

just seen the Stockbridge interview he is just spouting the same p*sh green did we've got money in the bank and how the accounts are for 13 month and not 12 but we have still to appoint a chairman which will be another few hundred grand to the wage bill also with the board trying to be smart with mccolls group denying shareholders to vote then us as fans really need to get the finger out and rid ourselves of these leeches

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That "interview" was another stage managed piece of drivel and if that board and media employee think we are going to believe any garbage comin out of there then they are deluded, shareholders must stand up and be counted at AGM or forever hold their peace. BT

to all the eastend invaders give yourselfs a pat on the back for another loss you's deserve it also that guy speaking to Lennon before the game saying celtic gave barca a football lesson last year absolutely priceless that guy should definitely give stand up a try getting back to the game really unlucky the night Forster made some great saves

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I am sure the money we will make off the CL will soften the blow, and even if we get put out there is always the Europa league to generate some more.

Agree0 Disagree0

No other team in the CL will have a harder two game opener, but we held our own against a top European team (again!) but hey ho the £20m will come in handy.

Briggs

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 enjoy the cl money for now because soon as you's fail to qualify over the coming seasons then you's will start selling your team which you's have already done and I wouldn't be so confident about the Europa because am sure the last time I looked you's wer bottom of the group

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes brown a loose cannon on a football field, if it wasnt for forster I could have been worse doug t. s. o

Agree0 Disagree0

As a gers fan i'm really not interested in what celtic are doing, had two defeats but not embarased themselves to be fair. we need to focus on our issues first

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 I agree watched a televised match recently and Brown stamped on a player as he went over him - no action taken!

Agree0 Disagree0

@jeezo come up for air! Just when are we not going to qualify for the CL? When we sell our best players?. Oh wait a min. We did that close season! As we found out today IT'S ALL ABOUT THE WONGA. But with us it's earning millions. Not losing it! Try and not be so bitter and support Scotland's BIG team in Europe, you will feel better in yourself, all that tightness in you chest will disappear and you will become a better person. and maybe give yourself a name!

@doug big Forster made 3 quality saves but only after we went down to 10 men. no embarrassment at all given the quality of the opposition.

@5 well said.

Ps you would think that after todays financial revelations, you all would have more important things closer to home to worry about! And you call us obsessed!

Briggs

Agree0 Disagree0

@7. You lost. End of.

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 Ajax had just as hard a start as you and got within 30 seconds of 3 points, also Milan and barca ain't even in the top 3 teams in CL this year, Milan might not even be in the top 16 teams.

Agree0 Disagree0

No team has had a harder 2 games?

AC milan reserves and a barca without messi.

Agree0 Disagree0

How many times have I heard on this site that Celtic r obsessed with rangers read the page it tells a very different story, and for the worst barca team ever put that crack pipe down the truth is a player that's worth 50 mill rolled around the ground like he was shot in the back to get a player sent off of a team that s worth not even half the price he is worth I never thought I would say this but they were scared of Celtic there's only one reason a player worth hat money would act like that is if he is scared FACT or he was cheating either way it's in celtics favour, but just a little tip leave Celtic to get beat in the champions league and consent rate on trying to make your team see another season because if you don't all you will have Celtic to watch next season

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 you played milan and barca and remind me who ajax played in their first two opening games

Doh!

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

Since when did Ajax become a bad side? Every team in the group is previous winners. And as for this being the worse barca team in years. Go look at the Spanish leauge and see how many games they've won. No embarrassment loosing to top European teams. Think a lot of people on this page are disappointed that Celtic are playing at this level.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is morton a class team

"We don't do walking away". I can think off £825, 858 reasons ally said that!. let's be honest anyone could manage the squad rangers had last season to the 3rd div title. c'mon ally FFS.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The guy doesn't need the money he is losing respect from people by screwing the club annually for that amount, I saw 1 other quote he saved the club in their hour of need, I think the same was posted on here about green too, years ago there was a lady called viv nicolson google her and see what her motto was ps. it wasnt aye ready lol doug t. s. o

"Interestingly, the holding (or parent) company, Rangers International Football Club plc, would now appear to be owed £16. 163 million by the sporting part of the business, The Rangers Football Club Limited.

This has prompted speculation that, should losses continue and lead to another administration, both Ibrox Stadium and Murray Park could be sold and then leased back to the latter, a move which would incense fans"

Do the accounts up until the end of June this year include the pay offs to the two former international centre halves and the Sandaza settlement? Also what was the hole in the finances every month according to the Bill Miller team?
The wages are shocking but other expenditure (Spivs apart) will need to be looked at. Is there any point in Murray Park if kids do not get a chance under current management? If we survive financial disaster number two and take another step to the top league there will be even less opportunity for kids under Ally IMO. His salary might go down but his bonus for another title will go up to compensate so more pressure to win.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Op -if the pay offs were before 30 June then yes, if they were after 30 June then no, the accounts are up to 30 June and should not include any revenue eg puma blackthorn etc or expenditure after that date

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

@ op what bonus are you talking about mccoist got no bonus green and Stockbridge got the bonuses

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 no I didn't say Ally got a bonus what I was trying to say is in future whoever is in charge after the AGM costs will be looked at. I think all salaries that can be negotiated will be. Some eg the manager who has in public offered to reduce his salary will probably be incentivised to get results. Similar to Wee Jim McLean at Tannadice lower basics with result driven bonuses. I have no idea if this will happen but the likes of Mr McColl coming from a business turnaround background would probably favour performance based remuneration rather than huge basic amounts.

Well my bets are still standing -

125/1 Rangers to win all league ames.

11/1 Celtic to lose all champ games.

I think only Ally could pull this off.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think celtic will get 4 minimum points maybe 7. Hope not but think it is really. possible. still a good time to play barca I think. They are not the team. of 09 10 11.

A lot of spurious activities going on here.

1. I am not Troo Bloo (although I do like the name).
2. I am not Ally or any of his M8s.

What has happened to this site?
It seems to me that the h8 Ally brigade has taken over. And I use the term brigade as it does suit their intentions.

I must agree though, after going undefeated with HIS team and winning only 8-0 on Saturday Ally surely must call it a day - it is clearly, just not good enough.

So Niggardly Bear and all your cronies on the brigade what would happen if Ally walked. Would the new manager want the team that he has inherited, really don't think so; The new manager would want to buy and bring in new players - seems only right. However, by your reckoning he should pysh this league, so he would look where, for his new players? Should he sack everyone including the scouting system and bring in new scouts - but who?

Niggardly Bear you are flawed just like your Bet Ally Brigade.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Do u not think an £800k salary would attract anyone?

Agree0 Disagree0

Behave, why would a new manager want to add new players just now, ANYONE managing Rangers with current squad would canter this league, which is just one of the reasons that bonus being paid for winning last year is beyond belief.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think its embarrassing ally has taken this money out a club with so many financial problems.

Agree0 Disagree0

Matt instead of worrying about Mcoist be more concnerend what is really happening at our club> This latest nonsense shows the true colours of everyone at Ibrox at present including Ally? this is a pillaging of our great club by others intent on 1 thing,,,,, money. Read it and weep its a total disgace

Rangers directors have been accused of being “hell-bent” on denying shareholders their right to vote on the composition of the board after the club dismissed a resolution to appoint four new members.
The Rangers board claimed an attempt to install Paul Murray, Malcolm Murray, Scott Murdoch and Alex Wilson, in a proposed vote at the club’s annual general meeting on October 24, was ‘’unlikely to be properly constituted under s338 of the Companies Act 2006’’
In other words no change same old ppeople in charge taking and taking 1 of them being Ally? if he has any backbone he should stand with the support against these robbers now. or like animal farm has he became one of the elite.?tiem to really show our strength. now because time is running out very quickly.

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic fans want rid of ally? Are you joking? Allys comedy roadshow is the best comedy on telly for years. Stehhousmuir? I think not. Keep them folded arms for ever.

Agree0 Disagree0

1.? Why would it attract another manager if this is one of the points that is against Ally - his large salary?

Doh!

Agree0 Disagree0

So are you saying no4 that the board should just break the law? isn't that srt of ehaviour what put the old Rangers out of business?

Agree0 Disagree0

This board are running our club worse than Romanov did at hearts

Agree0 Disagree0

Troo bloo

Think you will find that its fans that are complaining about his salary not his current employers. Now as far as I know the supporters didn't choose the manager or the salary but the Rangers board did. So if the board were to get rid of McCoist and go for someone else it's likely they will offer that person a big salary and there will be plenty of takers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Troo bloo

Think you'll find that the main gripe with the managers salary is more to do with the poor football being played and his lack of tactical awareness. Had Rangers won the 3rd division in style and played better in the cups his salary wouldn't have been an issue.

Agree0 Disagree0

Matt crozier
Sorry to say this they don't have a scouting system to sack. Do your research,

Agree0 Disagree0

Give any manager in leauge 1 a wage budget of almost 8m and and they would romp the leauge. Didn't make him a good manager. A good manager wouldn't have had to bring players on top wages to win against part time footballers. Look at te bigger picture.

£825. 000 for winning div3. No bloody wonder ally don't do walking away. an absolute scandal, shocking figures released Charlie nets nearly a cool million!!all a sham & will continue too be one.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ally the spiv McCoist has taken us for a ride and will continue to do so unless he is shown the door. £800k for being useless it must be great to be that bad!

In may ways I can't really blame the likes of Ahmad for taking every penny he could out of Rangers, he saw a business opportunity to make money from gullible fans of a team he couldn't care less about and took it all, the big salary, the big bonus and the 1 pence shares.

Ally did the exact same but he is supposed to love the club, well, maybe he does but one thing is for sure, he loves money a lot more.

Agree0 Disagree0

We all already knew Ally on ridiculous salary, however when it is confirmed in b/w it just makes you sit back and really think again about what a totally, ludricous, inane, scandalous, immoral amount of cash for a mediocre manager at this level of competition.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stockbridge thinks stability now, lmao. 14million down the swany. It's going from bad oo worse. at least Charlie told 1 truth from his crazy rants & shi*e comments, That he has BIG hands too grab loads of money!!once bitten twice as shy they say,. well well well. no matter how anyone comes out & dresses this up. It's a longtime scam being played out before our very eyes. & the end game still too be played. disgusted, scunnerd, pi$$ed off with over 2years of lies, corruption, charlatans, slime balls, ohh & mr mcoist & his 3amigos are rakin in the cash, utter shambles

Thanks stevo for the wishes, I still follow every game every saturday and once i'm sure its honest people behind the doors of ibrox I will be back, yes that was my first time in a hospital in 43 years and the golden jubilee is like a hotel, the people that work there deserve all the praise under the sun, 1 good thing is i'm now 24 weeks off the 50/60 fags a day and out power walking along girvan sea front daily doug t. s. o

Agree0 Disagree0

Get well soon Doug. Hopefully this mob in charge will depart shortly after having taken all they can and we can then start again and build the club back to what it once was and you can retake your seat at Ibrox.

Was talking to my old man today about 78 when we put out Juventus and then Eindhoven full of Dutch internationals in the old European Cup under John Greig. 2nd favourites we were for the cup after that great Notts Forest team of the time under Clough. Maybe in retrospect Greigy wasn't as bad as some have made out.

looks like the place has been emptied by these guys no doubt all above board and legal these guys are clever alright ally has helped by his desperation to stay in the job supporting all and sundry taking outrageous wage and bonus and spending 8m to win turd division last year

Believable0 Unbelievable0

His desperation 800k desperation?
. 800k. yes 800k. not 600k. not 700k. but 800k and I sat and watched that dross while he was payed. 800k
while he hummed an hawed about a new centre half. he was payed 800k
when he said he did, nt look to much at what he was signing. he was being payed 800k while the ordinary fans had to fork out big buck just before xmas he was payed 800k

Spending £14m more than income so how is it possible to complete this season? Last year IPO paid for profligacy. What pays for it this season? Another share offering? Sell and leaseback?

If Craig Mather thinks that running at a 14m loss in a year with an IPO is a good business plan, then we need a new business plan.

Just done a bet that might interest fellow bears with bet 365 barca and barca under 19s to do the double over their Celtic counter parts today, the under 19s game is at Morton's park which is the best playing surface outside the old firm's, barca boys will love playing on it, the double pays around even money, it looks easy money.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'm leaning towards Celtic (quite unlikely) or Draw (double chance) at 2/1

I think they could sneak a draw tonight. I'm positive both teams will score.

Agree0 Disagree0

The best playing surface outside of the OF!

Firstly Ibrox ain't the great a surface and secondly Cappielow is a very wet surface.

Just what I think, accounts are out.

lost £14m last year personally I expected a loss as no new company runs a profit year 1.
Start up costs, players wages, staff wages, bonuses and general running of club and training ground.

Good news I think anyway,

Accounts only up to June so this years season tickets not included. minimum £10m
Management taking wage reduction
No 100percent bonus for directors. Saving about £1m
No buying edmiston house and albion car park. Saving £2.5m
No pay off for players eg Sandaza, saving about £1m
No pay off for directors, saving £500k
No paying old footballing debts, saving about £3m.
No new sponsor boards and big screens, saving around £500k

Savings around £7/8m on last year.

With money in bank as of June around £10m plus St money £10m plus hospitality merchandise sponsorships of around £2/3m

We WILL have a positive balance next year.

Again only my thoughts

Agree0 Disagree0

Allys 825,000 for a 3rd division manager is shocking, no wonder he hasn't walked away, I wish I could find something I'm garbage at and get paid that much.

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 What about the 9 players that signed in sept? That's probably £3/4m

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers financial year loss of 14.4 million & junes figures were inclusive of 4.7 million season ticket sales. now. Are u James traynor or Brian Stockbridge?

Agree0 Disagree0

I was waiting on the first positive spin on the accounts and my there are errors galore.

As 7) says the figures do include part of this season's ST money. The asset purchases were not included in operating costs, they absorbed part of the IPO cash so won't be a reduction regards next season. Simlarly "cash used in operations" in the cash flow part will include Sandaza, Bocanegra, Goian etc (and again came out of the IPO. ) Guess what? So did the footballing debts.

So in essence Heid £6.5m of your suggested savings were not operating costs and therefore not things that can reduce that figure for next season and this year's initial season ticket payments were included. If these are good figures then you're Warren Buffet, but we already know that isn't the case.

PS Warren Buffet wasn't Phoebe's brother just in case you are even more clueless than I suspect.

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 at the fan meeting in August Stockbridge confirmed there was £10m in the bank which included this years season ticket money, so that's a lot of cash burned July and August from season ticket money alone.

When the inevitable happens and we get back into the top league, if mccoist isn't cutting it which I am pretty sure will be the case. What manager would you like to see take the helm? Personally I'd like to see big Terry butcher. No nonsense, down to brass tax and certainly has a good knowledge in all aspects of the game. RUGGY BEAR.

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 McLeish? We want exciting football not the dull stuff he brought us

Agree0 Disagree0

At the time sir walter walked away I wanted billy davies good manager can work with shoestring budget as well 100 times the manager ally is

Agree0 Disagree0

Unless I am mistaken we had a 15 point lead over Celtic the last time we were in the SPL, and yes we lost this lead but bear in mind, McCoist knew what Whyte was up to, we went into administration and therfore some players lost focus or we WOULD have won the league that year. He has what it takes and being sent to the bowels of hell andh aving to come up league by league he is actually getting an education and time to learn and grow with his team. He will shape and build a team to challenge from season 1 back in the top flight. Now leaving our own people aside. WHat away grounds will you visit. if any, Straw poll? AYRBEAR

Agree0 Disagree0

@3 it was stenhousemuir.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whoa calm down lads. Getting a bit ahead of ourselves here. I've never once called for ally to get the chop. He's doing no bad in the lower reaches of the game. With the second highest wage bill in the game. Again no having a pop. Building for the future n all that. My point was that when we get back to the top I don't want him anywhere near the team. It'd be a disaster. @3 everyone's entitled to an opinion. Doesent make me any less of a fan. RUGGY BEAR.

So let me get this. McCoist takes us up, straight and he is not to be given the chance to challenge the rest. He is to be sacked or decides himself to leave?

There isn't a fan among you. I couldn't give a toss if you go to every game home and away. That is NOT support.

Ally is most definitely the man for Rangers. To mention the 15 point lead is ridiculous considering what happened.

I am continuously astounded by the opinions on here. The expectations are beyond belief. Billy Davies?? Why the hell would you him as a manager? There is no reason whatsoever to EVER think of having this man!

I'm wondering if wee Baz will be all licensed up and ready to go by the time we get back to the top because I personally think he would be worth a shout, I know he has no experience and a great player doesn't always mean a great manager but I like his attitude and he is used to the fishbowl mentality that would go with the job. It's just a thought as everyone else seems to be having an opinion.

You are the perfect example of everything that is wrong with elements of the Rangers support. Ally McCoist is the WORST manager in our history. The majority of his "reign" has been in the lower leagues with a squad of players far better than the opposition, yet he is still the worst we have ever had. That says it all. He has not got a clue. He stands arms folded when things get tough, he can't make an inspiring change, his negative tactics/philosophy would put you to sleep and he stood by a man who bet against the club. And that's just off the top of my head. Then there's the cup "runs". Blind loyalty to McCoist as always from the WATP brigade, it's embarrassing. You are no more of a Rangers fan than me or any other sane person who has a clue and wants McCoist as far as from our dugout as possible.

Barry Ferguson has already said he would love the job.

Exactly Steven. He'll always be a club legend but just ain't got the managerial credentials. It's only fair to give him a season in the spl and see how he fairs up n if it pans out the way we all know it will then we should start searching for new candidates. RUGGY BEAR.
