I really don't like this media attention these kids are getting. Its not fair on them. Billy gilmour and karamoko dembele don't need there names across papers. they are kids, let them play, don't have them being forced to listen to how good they are going to be, giving them the stress of having to live up to silly expectations. If they come good they come good.

01 Nov 2016 13:10:02
Gilmours attention is slightly deserved though. he is 15 and already had a deal with Adidas, seems like the lad is going to be a part of the first team in the near future.

01 Nov 2016 14:52:39
Onlyshowaround, i see our young 15 year old midfielder billy gilmour is already attracting interest from both the arsenal and man utd. Typical and the thing is they'll get him for buttons! I really hope he stays with rangers, he's seemingly a cracking player!

On similar subject anybody know how the young lad Knox at Livingstone is doing?

01 Nov 2016 15:37:41
Is the young CB we got on loan from raith still with us? .

01 Nov 2016 16:19:04
Yes you can still see him training with the first team on the website picture gallery and has played regularly for the u-20's so whether that means we want to keep him or not, who knows. Think his loan is only till January so no doubt we'll find out then.

01 Nov 2016 16:48:00
Knox has been doing well livi u20's game is off this weekend but any time I've watched him play for them he has been outstanding.

01 Nov 2016 17:22:21
I've never heard anybody with a bad word to say about the boy Knox makes you wonder why we don't take a punt on this lad.

01 Nov 2016 17:49:15
Jaws, , . Money!

01 Nov 2016 18:28:59
Just to think all it would really take is for that fat B@#tard to accept this deal is f#@ked negotiate a settlement and end contract yeah, this whore of a fud does not realise the impact he's having on young fans who adore this club. It would be that simple yeah but instead he seems hell bent on fighting King totally blinkered to the damage he causes to others, Its very sad and makes our fight on-field even harder.

01 Nov 2016 22:43:12
Let's just hope they are not another Islam Feruz.

01 Nov 2016 23:38:59
Fintytint - you've just gave them the attention that you say in the same breath that is unfair? You name 2 players, who you don't want any attention drawn to them? Explain?

02 Nov 2016 08:18:33
afcw did you you look and my post and think. I need to find a problem with it? Am sure every single person on here knows who those lads are and don't need reminded. I am not standing at the top steps of my local council office with big signs saying the same thing to strangers.
So in your thoughs if I feel strongly that these boys should be kept away from the spot light I should just sit quietly and not say anything in fear that my little words are dragged into the tabloids aswell? These boys 'have' been put in the spot light with a little luck then next wont.

01 Nov 2016 12:09:26
Really hope we manage to keep Billy Gilmour, certainly seems like a player for the future.

01 Nov 2016 15:37:10
Lets not get to excited just yet lads, I seem to remember Rangers bending over backwards to get John Fleck tied up and buying his parents a house for him to stay put and he was part of a better team than the 1 we have at present and he didn't exactly light the place up.

01 Nov 2016 19:26:38
Was just watching Peter and Roughie and they mentioned Man City only have 2 English players in squad tonight and it made me think that we have an entire British squad at present except Sendaros yeah? with a contingent of usually 4-6 Scots. Always remembered my Ma winding me up yrs ago about the Gers bein full of foreigners.

01 Nov 2016 22:45:20
Even before we got relegated we had a large Scottish contingent in the squad, and for a while, half the national starting 11.

01 Nov 2016 23:40:36
And look where it's got us? Draws with Ross County, Hamilton and St Johnstone!

02 Nov 2016 09:36:10
Afcw I hate people like you, always negative, your one of those fans that enjoys booing the players off the park.

01 Nov 2016 09:22:28
Out of interest how much extra income do you think we would have if we sort out the retail deal with Ashley?

01 Nov 2016 10:56:31
millions a year better off if we win the case against him.

01 Nov 2016 11:58:05
It would more than cover the 3.8m in losses recorded for this year. We would certainly be breaking even or better this year if fat gashley wasn't milking us.

01 Nov 2016 12:21:11
The reason I ask is that some people on here are saying that we would be challenging Celtic if we sort it out. But when you look at Celtic they only get 4.7 million from their retail.

So while I agree it would help balance the books, our revenue would still be 50 million less than Celtic's.

01 Nov 2016 12:33:20
If we rid ourselves of Ashley and all related contracts then we are able to negotiate all sorts of deals and it is not just the additional income from shirt sales and sponsorship that we would benefit from. Without the Albatross that is Ashley and Sports Direct around our neck we could surely secure significant additional investment that I suspect is being held back because of the Sports Direct / Ashley situation.

01 Nov 2016 12:51:46
Why is ashley going to extraordinary lengths i. e. Hoping to jail king and all other lost cases he's had if it was just peanuts to him?

01 Nov 2016 12:55:34
At the end of the day if we got rid of ashley, the finest fans in the world (us) would come out in force and more than make up for years of not being able to spend, in my opinion we would make a bit more than celtic do, we need this goon gone and pronto.

01 Nov 2016 13:28:55
Recent history shows that Celtic have always done better in this area and I see no reasonbwhy things would change.

This season Celtic will turnover 75 million but we will only turnover 22 million. The only way we can compete with them financially is if we reach cl group stage and they don't. If this happened then both clubs would have similar income, although they would still be slightly ahead.

01 Nov 2016 14:58:11
BossHogg, what I do know is that we always sold more replica kits than celtic. We were the 2nd biggest kit sellers in britain, only manchester utd sold more replica shirts than us!

01 Nov 2016 15:27:05
Aye but the revenue isn't based on kit sales alone. A big chunk now comes from the deal you do with manufacturer and Celtic have been successful at that.
