Few points to make here bears
If we had signed anyone of hemed conway danns or all 3 then use would all be happy they might not have been better than young players thats there lafferty naismith wylde ness and hutton .

Anyone else think ally is spouting the same 3 names in the papers nearly everyday and keeping his true tarhets close to his chest its goodwillie cuellar and wallace not saying there not good players but goodwillie just charged for assault up for a rape charge come on , wallace dont think hes interested in playing for rangers hes injury prone hardly kicked a ball last season and is overpriced , cuellar no one knows what is happening with him mcleish is changing his mind all the time at a good price for 3million but is injured and cant play till september hardly the kind of signing we need alot of £3million centre backs out there . Keep the faith whyte has stated we need 6 signings even if its a few loans again or whatever we have a good base structure of a team for another strong title charge .
My last point is alot of gers fans on here make me sick with there comments the new owner should not be accused of anything until proven guilty . Ally McCoist runs on blue blood he would not say he has a great relationship with whyte if he didnt mean it if our great club is in danger he will be the 1st to tell us and i do believe that the future of the club means more to him than the managers job WATP

Well it did go through and all he, s looking at is out of contract freebee, s etc. He spent a week in Argentina scouting but whats come out of that? There is 3 weeks until the 1st game of the season. People saying there is plenty of time are wrong. The new players need to get into training with the current squad now.

I think Craig Whyte is a c**t and is here to asset strip our wonderful club. He was probably told by SDM that RFC will lose the case against HMRC. Look at the way he has made his company the biggest secured creditor so he gets paid before HMRC plus why is Ellis involved? he has no money and is a property developer.

Sell the team & Ibrox stadium to a new owner for £20 million plus they will keep Murray Park for re-developement (land worth many millions or more if they do the redevelopment themselves). Not bad for a quid. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if SDM gets a healthy backhander.

I am very afraid for the future of my beloved team.

Believable7 Unbelievable5

TOTALLY AGREE

Agree3 Disagree1

He reminds me of that fat t**t Ashley who owns Newcastle, promises the world and comes up with nothing, for christs sake even the dons have been buying. Very worrying

Agree4 Disagree2

Ashley spent over 200m of his own money buying the club and clearing the debt. Whyte can't even touch that so far.

Agree3 Disagree1

As far as we know Whyte has not invested 1p into Rangers.

hi ed can u give an opinion on this side and tell me if u think its realistic or not these are the players id like to see for us and the team id choose

GK MAGREGOR
DL PAPPS
DR WHITTAKER
CB BOUGHERRA
CB BARTLEY/CUELLAR/BOUMSONG
LM LOVENKRANDS
RM WEISS/NAISY
CM DAVIS
CM MCULLOCH/EDU/NESS
CF JELAVIC
CF DJ CAMPBELL/LAFFERS

SUBS DIOUF, NOVO, WYLDE, HEALY, COLE

{Ed010's Note -I wouldn't wish to comment on every single player but you have put considerable time and effort into your post, so I would say that collectively it has potential but I wouldn't have Lovenkrands in my team. The defence looks strong and can only be enhanced with the addition of Cuellar and/or Bartley. The midfield is the area where I would have issues. We need players who have some "spark" and there are too many similar players in that area. Davis is the only creative player in there, the rest are either runners or holding players.

At the end of the day, it's only my opinion and I agree that DJ Campbell would be a good signing but it looks as if he may be heading for the other Rangers

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Don't give up your day job. That formation is Guff

Agree1 Disagree1

We wont get 99% of those players as we ave no money an whyte has been lying all along

Agree1 Disagree1

Look mate, we aint going got boumsong, i hope i never see lovenkrands in a gers strip ever again, weiss isnt coming back, we wont move for dj, diouf isnt coming back n novo is possibley the most hopeless football player (after bob malcolm) to ever wear the blue jersey (all be it he gave 100%)

Agree0 Disagree1

He scored the penalty that took is to Manchester, our first euro trophy in 30 years legend in my eyes

Agree0 Disagree1

Get urself to f*** novo rangers battler

Agree0 Disagree0

Can I guess the last poster wasn't a Rangers fan? He is not a legend in the sense of Laudrup as a world class player. But in the era of no money in Scottish football he is a Raangers legend. He scored the goal that won us the SPL at Easter Road, the penalty that got us to the UEFA cup final, numerous old firm goals and the winner is the Scottish Cup Final. This plus the level of effort he put in. He played when injured, his first season he scored 25 goals playing through the middle, he was never played through the middle again for a sustained period, and last but not least wound up the Celtic fans. It would be a smart PR move by Whyte to get him back, it would get the fans onside and he wouldn't cost much as far as wages go. Plus, he is surely better than Kerkar.

Naismith Davis Ness/McCulloch Wylde

(I'd let young Darren Cole have a chance at right back, he's a great young player)

That's us without any new signings, a team capable of yet again winning the championship so go away Neil.

see if weiss wasnt a wee wind up merchant about celtic then you lot wouldnt give a toss about him, he is too lightweight and doesnt contribute enough throughout the whole season to be regard as a first team rangers player

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Yeah m8 And i'm sure you would have been saying the same thing if he had signed for Celtic last season, away back to the dark side Timothy

Agree3 Disagree1

He was injured most of the second half of the season n he still came off the bench too set up a winner against the manky mob he is still young with loads of potential

Agree2 Disagree1

The winning goal against your lot says otherwise, Not only can he blitz past players, but he takes two, sometimes three opposing players out of position. I think he will be class, go back to yer own page, and worry about having Samaras in your team for another 3 years LOLOLOLOL

Agree3 Disagree1

You underestimated him badly there, he's a wonderful talent who is capable of taking it to the very top. He's only 21 maybe be lightweight but that's what Rangers were working on his more physical side rather than his skill going forward and he did improve. Set up a cup final winner vs Celtic with a broken foot aswell. Vladi come back anytime

Agree1 Disagree1

But he is good for coming of the bench to do what he did against celtic in the final

People can have a dig at me for this post but i won't be renewing my season ticket at Ibrox, i would like to know which new signings we have made, if any, before i renewed it. The last 3 seasons have been very dull & mediocre in our style of play, apart from the last 6-7 games of last season. Whyte doesn't seem to be backing up his words by helping McCoist in the transfer market, so why should i shell out good money to watch the same old faces who only stepped up a gear at the end of the season, they should start a new season like that, End of rant.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Rangers don't need people like you. If your not happy winning the league for the past 3 seasons well you can piss off round the shops with your wife on a Saturday. Lol ha ha ha WATP

Agree5 Disagree1

Well I for one have renewed my season ticket. Ally deserves our full support for his first season in charge and i'll be at Ibrox to give him the support. I have been disappointed by the lack of signings but there is a long way till the window closes and i'm confident we will have a strong squad to defend our title. Lets get behind our new leader he deserves the best In McCoist We Trust.

Totally agree with u mate whyte is a disgrace a penny pinching disgrace an i ave said it from day 1

Agree1 Disagree1

Totally agree coming on here to make a point that if Rangers don't sign anyone you won't renew your season ticket. Is that because your idea is that if Rangers don't sign anyone they won't win the league? In that case makes you a glory hunter. One love, Rangers - win, lose or draw.

Ed mate do you think theres any chance that we could get sebo back ?

{Ed010's Note -I really can't see it. In any event, even idf Ally wanted to sign him, Sebo's club (Slovan Bratislava) need to do a complete u-turn. A few days ago, Hannover tried to sign Sebo, only to be told by Bratislava representatives, that they would not allow Sebo to have a transfer this summer.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Will you please get a grip Sebo??? he is absolutely rotten worse than James Beattie I mean come on this is a joke

Billyboy1

Agree0 Disagree2

U need to get a grip my friend have u seen sebo's goals to game record recently? do u know we cudnt afford him if we wanted him now?

Agree2 Disagree0

Sebo scored for rangers beattie so{Ed010's Note -that may well be the deal. I commented on another thread (when asked) about the terrible malaise that has sweeped across our fans as a result of "losing out" on Conway, Hemed and Danns. No one actually knows the true reasons why the deals fell through but most believe, it was down to the low wages that Rangers were offering. I suggested that Ally McCoist may only be interested in 2 or 3 players and is prepared to blow most of his transfer kitty on them.

It is possible, that the reason for the small wage offers, was because the money that was to be used to fund these deals, was the "change" from the main deals that have still to be confirmed.

I appreciate that some fans may interpret my theory as delusional but the truth is, it could just possibly me the case and while I cannot prove it, neither can anyone else prove theirs. far hasnt {Ed010's Note -

01 Jul 2011 11:35:48
Ed, any news on signing other than the usual ones everyone on this site talks about 95% being ex players who obviously where not good enough first Time around ? May I also put my tuppence worth regarding the steven whittaker affair this can be thrown out to fellow rangers supporters if steven Whittaker takes rangers offer of nearly trebling is wages does that mean we get a player 3 times as good to watch next season ? Just a thought

{Ed010's Note -nothing new on any potential targets. In my opinion, Steven Whittaker is good and can be very good on some occasions when he is moving forward. Whittaker's problem is that he is defensively poor and continually is caught out of position.

I don't think that Ally is offering ,to triple his wages based on his pedigree but almost certainly because of his versatility. Whittaker is 3 players in 1, having played last season at right back, centre back and in midfield. Some fans don't like Whittaker and that is their perogative but Ally obviously rates him as these types of players are invaluable to both the manager and the club and that is why, Ally is so desperate to tie him down to a new deal.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Ed, because of whittakers veratility being able to play the 3 positions you mentioned im starting the think it could be because we are not going to be signing the number of players that we need for the coming season hope im wrong with this one

{Ed010's Note - you may well be correct my friend. With that in mind, I would like to refer to an answer that I gave on another thread, concerning the current malaise that has swept over the Rangers fans, as a result of the Conway, Hemed and Danns deals falling through. I will repeat what I said on that thread. I suggested that it may be that Ally intends blowing his budget on 2-3 quality signings. With that in mind, I suggested that the reason for the low wages being offered to Conway, Hemed and Danns was because that was all the money that Ally had left, after he factored in the cost of these "quality" signings. If you like, Ally was using "change" for lack of a better expression.

I appreciate that some or maybe even all of the Rangers fans may interpret my theory as being delusional but the truth is, it could just possibly be true and while I cannot prove it, neither can anyone else prove that their theories, concerning there being no money, are true also.

Just reading on Sky Sports 'Paper Talk' section that DJ Campbell has a £1m release clause in his contract however other websites stating QPR have had a £1.25m bid accepted.

Surely he must be worth a go, he would score a barrow load up here. He has great movement and scored 13 goals for Blackpool last year in 31 games (not bad). Think he'd be a great foil for Jelavic.

Thoughts??

Celtic fan here + i come in peace.
Ive been thinking about reasons why Rangers are struggling to sign any players.Does anyone else think it might be to do with the so called Gers fans sending parcels to Lennon? I know there are thousands of decent supporters but i was just wondering if the bad publicity last season with the threats to Lennon and the UEFA fines + bans are the root of the problem.Ive never known Rangers to be knocked back so many times in such a short space of time so what are your opinions?

Jungle Bhoy.

Believable6 Unbelievable5

I think it's been all about the money if I'm honest. Good to see someone from the other side coming on with a decent comment. Cheers

Agree2 Disagree0

Conway was a non starter as he is a big Celtic fan, hemed chose la liga over the spl not a tough choice, danns went for more dosh and also rejected Celtic. To sum up your theory is pash.

Agree1 Disagree2

I don't think it has anything to do with the parcel bombs etc, these players are only interested in getting more money, long gone are the days where players were loyal to their clubs & all they wanted to do was win trophies etc. Now i don't condone the actions by these idiots fro sending Lennon pacel bombs but Lennon is a clown.

Agree0 Disagree2

Could be a factor, but I doubt it. anybody who knows the situation will know that these people are probably para militants from N.I

Agree0 Disagree0

No I don't think it is anything to do with that when u look at players who have went elsewhere take them 1 by 1 hemed went to spain youngest of 3. I think most foreign players would pick spain before scotland yes rangers have chance of champions league football but he has chance now of playing barca, real, valencia, twice a season. Conway now 26 played in scotland all his life wants a change and SUPER ALLY said it wasn't about money for him and before everyone jumps on me about the money side of it listen to my next point about danns if u listen to his interview on sky he tells u he wants to play in epl and he said it would have been massive to play for rangers but he is 28 now and this was his best way of trying to get into epl and he sent SUPER ALLY text thanking him for chance to play for RANGERS. So I think these r reason for not choosing rangers I think u will find if u look at players who have come into both RANGERS AND celtic as u come in peace I will use your correct name in lower casing of course, u will find we will have to unearth gems from far of lands like for instance emilo and kayal I also think we struck lucky last year with jellyfish we paid 4 mill for him but I think big DADO helped us with that 1 because I think other teams must have been interested when u think how long RANGERS took to finally get him but don't fret my friend because WE ARE CHAMPIONS AND STILL WILL BE COME END OF NEXT SEASON HERE WE GO FOR 4 IN A ROW IN SUPER ALLY WE TRUST

WATP

Agree0 Disagree2

It's a fair point i suppose but i think it all comes down to money and the standard of the league at the end of the day. Top players don't seem to bother about fan trouble when they are going to Turkey, Russia & Greece etc... Because they pay the wages.

All this carryon with the way transfers are being dealt with at Rangers is starting to worry me a little. With everything thats been said in the past by Mr Whyte regarding his plans for the club, now is the time to prove to the supporters that he means bussiness and is willing and capable to take Rangers forward. If the cash is there then spend it, pay the going rate for players before we lose out and end up signing second rate players. If this continues I think i will contact Rangers FC and inform them that im only willing to pay them £300 for my £500 season ticket.

Dundee Utd chairman has told Rangers to ''put up or shut up'' and you know what I couldn't agree more. I love Rangers but all this with Goodwillie is wrong, the young lad is Scotland's biggest talent and has got young player of the year for two years running and is also a bluenose. Definitely worth £2Million, i'm all for negotiating but derisory bids for talented players is wrong.

Vladim r Weiss latest on twitter is cant wait to see the boys tomorrow, so hopefully that means the rangers,
and everyone keeps asking him if he is going to sign with us, maybe I'm just being optimistic here but if he definitely wasn't going to sign for us - wouldn't he just say that.

People need to remember that craig whyte has already spent over 20 million just getting rangers out of a black hole of trouble that could have seen us go bust so just think about that when you moan that he's not signing someone who couldn't hold down a 1st team place at dundee utd or someone who had 1 good season in israel, he has said he will get us a certain quality of player he's just playing his cards close to his chest 4 in a row will happen And I will be there every game to watch it

You need to remember that Craig Whyte has not spent £20m getting Rangers out of a black hole. Whyte's company has taken on the liability for the debt to Lloyds, but the debt remains. If Rangers are found guilty of tax evasion by HMRC, then the debt transfers back to Rangers. There would also be an HMRC fine on top of this, which is estimated at around £40m. This would leave Rangers £60m in debt and in administration.
