Since WBA are in for jelavic, we should get a player in return as well as cash. They have 3 good players, who are Rangers fans:
> Graham Dorrans
> James Morrison
> Chris Brunt
All quality players and it's about time we started to get some players in playing for the shirt.

3 fantastic players who would certainly play for the club they love :D but that's a bit much, I doubt we can take all of W.B.A's midfield lol, I actually like WBA as a club because of the Rangers supporting contingent.

Totally agree . we need to have players in our team that have the passion to play for the jersey . its pretty sickenin how all these foreign players come to us and other scottish clubs for a passport to the premiership .

Time to wake up bears, this new owner has no money, and has no desire to do anything other than make a quick buck. Look at the facts , he promised £5m up front with another £10m to be front loaded. That never happened.
This is the man who refuted the BBC programme and then had to admit that he was barred. The is the man who does not pay bills until he's in court. Yet some of you are still clinging to the belief that we will spend money.
I totally believe that this man has no interest other than putting us into administration, the he will flee with his pockets full.
I have been watching the gers for forty years and find the whole situation to be a disgrace. RANGERS SHOULD NEVER BE OWNED BY ONE MAN. God knows we have seen what state Sir David has left us in, because his other business is in trouble. We the fans have sat and are continuing to sit back and watch this charlatan embarrass this great club.
We need to demand answers, we need to know what has happened to all the promises, in fact we need to own the club and not some spiv. As much as I hate to say it, those across the city would not put up with this, they hit the streets and demanded change until they got it. We should be doing the same.
For those of you that believe mr whyte saved us from the bank, I seem to remember that the bank agreed to the jelavic transfer, can't see mr tight ever spending over £4m on any player. The old saying is true that if you pay peanuts you get monkeys and see that ally is saying that he can't win the title with no money. Think this is trying to back mr tight into a corner and can really see that ally may walk if he is not backed. Think that as a true legend that may be the wisest course of events as he is on a hiding to nothing.
Incidentally how our previous great leader, Sir Dave has not been hauled over the coals for what he has done to us, he is sitting in his mansion somewhere not giving a monkeys. He is the one who declared himself a custodian of the club whose job was to pass the club in a better state than when he took over - failed. He was the one that promised that he would only sell to the right person - failed. He is the one that put us in this position with the tax man because of his dodgy dealings.
My hopes for 2012 are that we the fans, the real people that matter, make our feeling heard loud and clear, and clear this spiv out of our club and the sooner the better.

Would you have preferred SDM to still be owner and for us to have sold; McGregor, Jelavic, Davis, Whittaker etc. last Summer?
Agree5
Disagree2
What a sad person sitting and writing an essay on something you know nothing about, any criticism directed at Whyte is misdirected, he took on the club he loves when nobody else would touch it with a badgepole because of this tax case. When the tax case is resolved, we can then comment on Whyte's performance.
Rangers for me.
Agree7
Disagree4
I could not agree more. Ally missed out on all of his first choice transfer targets in the summer and I'm afraid we should brace ourselves for similar during Januart window.
Agree5
Disagree1
For you that think I am sad. Whyte has paid £1, he has transferred the debt in the way that he is the only secured debtor, so he will get his money back. He will put us in admin when we lose the tax case, all the assets will be sold by the administrator, namely jela, Davis, mcgregor. Then he will buy club back for next to nothing, then sell it debt free for £5-6m and walk away. We will be left with no decent players. Now that is sad.
Agree4
Disagree0
For the person who asked if I would have preferred DM to still be in charge, then yes because his companies would have been liable for the tax bill, instead of running away.

Whyte is only a rangers to make a quick buck? Aye coz there's a long list of people desperate to buy us. Get a grip of yourself Whyte is trying to sort out the mess Murray left. A wee note to celtic fans, who probably spend more time on our pages. If someone posts rumour or 'FACT' as they call it, why do you assume that every gers fans falls for it? The vast majority of stuff on here is nonsense, I would be very surprised if anyone takes it as gospel. A lot of the time it will be 'other' fans posting 'exclusives'. I know it was only a TV show and everyone gets taken the p!$h out of, but like me are all the real Rangers fans embarrassed by the goings on of Craig Whyte? It seems every day he brings more embarrassment to our great club, and Only an Excuse only highlighted how others see Mr Whyte as a figure of fun and more worringly a person not to be believed. Has he taken Rangers forward? In my and most supporters who have not buried their heads in the sand, no he has not. He made a lot of promises and kept very few of them.
Will Ally get money, I doubt it. Will Whyte sell our best players and keep the money, I am afraid he will.
What we need is honest answers and if promises are made, promises must be kept. a very worried bear.

I have not made my mind up about Whyte yet i dont know if we should trust him or not and no i dont think he has taken us forward but the way i see it is if he had not taken us over we might not be here at all however if he does not give Ally cash to splash then it looks grim

I think it's a bit early to judge whyte coz he is still dealing with the mess that Murray left. Think we shud wait till after the tax case before saying if whyte has moved club forward. As for the players, there isn't 1 of them that I wouldn't sell. No passion no talent. Remember whyte never made the mess he is only trying to clean it up. He SHOULD have rangers best interests at heart after all he is SUPPOSED to be 1 of us

It seems every day he brings more embarrassment to our great club, and Only an Excuse only highlighted how others see Mr Whyte
how does craig whyte bring embarrassment to rangers on a daily basis? do some of yous not understand the mess that was left behind and this was the only guy prepared to go in and try to sort the mess out, give him some time to do that and then have your say and as for your comment about this is how people see him cos it was on only an excuse lol aye ok so everybody on only an excuse is seen the way they put them across then, jim white cant do his job if a female is sat beside him lol craig brown cant remember what team he is the manager of lol away u go ffs
Agree5

Perhaps you do not think whyte is an embarrasment, he is the one who does not pay bills until someone takes him to court, this is the man that was barred from seven years from being a director, he is not the whyte in shining armour, he is looking to make a quick buck. This is the man who will probably oversee the rangers in administration, and then flee with his pockets full. I think that is an embarrassment and all rangers fans should.

Mccoist needs to get the Players playing a good Passing game. For me, all they do is hump it up the field from the back, triangular passing etc is the way forward and will save his job. I would like to see more of a mccoist stamp on the team as I feel we are worse than with Walter! And playing worse footy ! we need a striker, maybe a creative midfielder. I would try and sign farid el allagui, and templeton or Mehdi Touil from hearts both would enhance the squad!
Hope we send a message out tomorrow and hammer Motherwell, we are due a performance.

Kirk Broadfoot - Can't defend, Beat players or put in a cross
Steve Davis - For the last few months has been awful, totally uninspiring as a Rangers Captain
Steven Whittaker - Has never been able to defend and this season can't attack either.
Greg Wylde - Can't put in a cross and has no skill.
Maurice Edu - Unless it's a pass back it's no pass at all
Lee Mculloch - Same as above but more likely to get sent off.
Kyle Lafferty - Has 10 good games a season that keep most fans iff his back. £1m player at best but we paid nearly 4!
Jelavic - Great player but well off form just now.
None of this matters however to Ally Mcoist however as he sees something that the rest of us don't!
We deserve better as Rangers fans!
Believable9
Unbelievable3
Well the team- whoever is put out there- DESERVES to be supported.
Agree3
Disagree4
Why do they deserve to get Supported if they don,t give a damn about the fans who most earn a fraction of the money that the players are earning and giving nothing in return. We pay our money so we can have our say and that players don,t deserve any bloody support just now
Agree2
Disagree2
Get a grip, as a Rangers fan you don't "deserve" anything. Hard earned money is paid for tickets to games and merchandise but it's the same at every other club in the world, just because Rangers aren't meeting your high and mighty expectations doesn't mean you're being ripped off and more than anyone at any other match on a Saturday.
I agree, the team right now are shocking, the football on display is abysmal to watch and lets be honest the manager can't spot a player for love nor money but if Rangers win the title they'll do it by hard work and barring some funny business ala Serie A "deserve" it in the end. They won't do it just so the cretin element in the stands that somehow feel they have to see their team win all the time or else don't bother turning up (and instead spend their time calling radio phone ins to demand the manager be sacked and to moan about Mo Edu and Kirk Broadfoot) are satisfied.
They'll do it for real fans that support the team through thick and thin. Show some faith and some loyalty for goodness sake, and I mean loyalty of the kind that doesn't involve singing Rule Britannia. Getting behind the team rather than hurling abuse from the stands for every misplaced pass might help them pick up points.
Agree3
Disagree0
Before you sit there and pass judgement on me as a fan then you have no right. I,ve supported this team through thick and thin for more than 40 years and never once called for a manager to be sacked but i have a right to moan when you see players like jelavic etc not even trying. I grew up watching the likes of sandy jardine, bobby russell, alex macdonald, tommy mcclean etc giving there all for the bloody team and hardly miss a bloody game, the modern footballer are overpaid prima donna,s who deserve to get a hard time from fans who pay their money.

Mcoist says he needs to bring in fresh faces. Whyte says the wage bill is to high and we need to bring in money.
So can someone explain to me why we pay wages to guys like Kerkar, Mckay, Ortiz, Bedoya and Healy when Mcoist clearly has no intention of dropping any players no matter how bad they play?
What is the point in Murray park when we have guys like Hutton, Cole, Mcmillan, Fleck, Little, Perry and Ness who could all probably do a better job than the likes of Broadfoot, Mculloch, Edu, and more recently Whittaker, Jela, Davis and Lafferty.
Honestly if you're a young guy how demoralising must it be when Ally would rather spend money we dont have on sh*t he wont play rather than play them and the players that do play sh*t know that no matter how bad they play they won't get dropped.
I don't understand how 50000 fans every week can see this but Ally can't?
Rossco Cyprus Bear
Believable5
Unbelievable2
Spot on, murray park is a total waste of money. I would play the like of hutton, ness (if fit) and any younster because they would have hunger
Agree2
Disagree0
The youngsters have hunger but can't be relied upon to play week in week out as they've still a lot to learn and playing a team of youngsters would probably just result in dropped points.
McKay, Ortiz and Bedoya have to go down as poor signings who haven't actually improved the team other than adding numbers in case of an injury crisis.
We've hardly seen them but there's obviously a reason for it. Ortiz has played quite a few times and in my honest opinion is a donkey and complete waste of money.
Playing both the youngsters and new signings would also disrupt the current understanding in the team as they'd need to be blended in.
Agree1
Disagree0
Good post Rossco, that is what Walter did last year, he signed quality over quantity and took the risk that the young guys would need to come in; last season we saw Ness, Hutton, Cole and Wylde break into the first team. This season we have seen Perry who I am happy to have as cover. I actually think McCoists plan is the Summer was to have Ness play ahead of Edu but he has been without him for most of the season.

Seems to be a lot of rumpours already. Personally, going by Mr Whytes summer transfer shenanigans, I would be surprised if we brought in anyone over £500k- and that is pushing it. If Jelavic is sold, can t see us getting much, if any, of the funds to reinvest. Doing things on the cheap seems to be way forward.

You mentioned 4 Rangers fans there lol! We could build a team of Rangers supporters, so many good players out there who support Rangers, especially midfielders.

Mcoist.. Ive told Craig we need to strengthen the forward area..... I need to sit down and discuss what our spending plans are for January..... Craig has said we have to move players on before we can spend.... I was told just before the Celtic game we recieved a bid for Jelavic from QPR which is all i needed to be frank.... I can categorically say we have had no bids for Jelavic..... Craig has told me i will have some money to spend but it depends on how much transfer money comes in..... I dont want to sell any of our good players indeed i want to strengthen the team... Mcoist tells it different everyday cant you lot see the spin and lies coming out of ibrox is astonishing!! Mark my words Jelavic will be sold for an undisclosed fee and you will get a couple of loan deals at best!

Personally, i'd go for Templeton £500k-1m, Dorrans (4m?) and/or try and get McKekran on loan from chelsea, Consider bringing in Boydy, and bid for Rhodes with the rest. JUst what i'd do, personally. Muzz

I'd also pursue signing Cuellar on a pre-contract and consider paying a smaller fee to make the move this window. Muzz

Mccoist will only get a fraction of what we get for jelavic. I'd b very surprised if ally spent more than 1m on one player. All youse guys spending 3m here or 4m, n spending 9m? R u jokin. U r all livin in a dream world, wake up whyte ain't givin ally anywhere near tht much

There is nothing due, in fact none of the hut ton money went into the club, it was used by dm to pay Joe loius for his shares. This was t
He year we made the urfa cup final and sold culler and hut ton and the debt rose. Thanks again dm {Ed001's Note - it couldn't have been used, the transfer, like all transfers until recently when UEFA's FFP ruling came into being, was paid over a period of time via instalments. Now all payments have to be made within (if I remember correctly) 2 years, rather than over extended periods of time, like in the past.}

Craig Whyte has told Ally he can spend some of the cash he brings in from selling players. After missing out on european football it's fair to say we can't spend it all as I think at the start of the season Whyte said he'd budgeted approx £4m from any euro run.
So if we look at roughly what we could raise from players going out the door this is what i reckon we could raise, and free up in wages for any loan moves.
Out: Broadfoot £500k, Weir Release, Ortiz (Novo swap?), Mckay £400k, Healy £100k, Jelavic £4m and Dorrans, Mculloch £200k, Edu £2m, Kerkar Release, Fleck Loan.
If you guess that the £4m from the Jela sale would go to the club coffers this would leave us £3.2m and a fair bit of wages freed for loan moves. And Novo if we could do a swap deal.
Think we could do some business on free transfers and cheap players like bringing in.
In: O'Connor £250k, Boyd Free, Riordan Free, Scott Allan £500k, Livermore (Loan), Novo (Ortiz swap), Cuellar £1m, Goodwillie (Loan),
This would only cost £1.75m with the remaining cash going to wages or to the coffers.
This is only my opinion but with these moves this is the squad we could have. Never going to happen though as Ally's stuck in his ways but it is realistic.
Alexander
Shagger
Mcmillan Cole Perry Papac
Cuellar Goian Bocanegra Wallace
S.Allan Ness
Riordan Livermore Hutton Wylde
Novo Davis Dorrans Aluko
Lafferty O'Connor
Boyd Goodwillie
Injured: Whittaker, Naismith
This is much better than what we currently have and i think is realistic in terms of money spent and players that would come to us.

Are we getting a fee for selling him then? If so then it is a quality bit of business. If not then Ally wants to look at his signing policy. He is looking at almost getting 50% right right now.
Negatives
McKay - Not getting any games
Bedoya - Looks pretyt crap
Ortiz - Is pretty crap
Wallace - Not anywhere as good as Papac and is causing issues where to play both

Perhaps a long shot but it would be good news to hear that Ally McCoist reads this website. I have a lot of time for him and admire his sincerity and down right honesty when being interviewed. I'd like him to explain why players like McKay, Bedoya, Fleck and Bendiksen don't get game time. Why Hutton loaned to Partick when he says he needs more money for better players. Which players in his starting eleven does he mean aren't good enough for him to retain the title ? Answer the questions the fans want answered. How bad is the Ness situation and will he come right ? We've imploded since losing Naismith. Great as he is he's one player only. I still reckon Ally has something up his sleave and will get us to 4 in a row. We need it pretty damn soon.
