Is it to son for Ross Jack to be considered for the managers job? Turned Alloa into a promotion winning side then saved St Mirren from relegation last season and has them in pole position in the Championship just now - Remember Dundee wanted him last season - He can obviously improve teams - so could he be worth a 2-3 yr investment with say experieneed backroom staff? Thoughts?

02 Dec 2017 08:18:25
Are you for real mate, that would be a shocking choice that would end in disaster pretty quick in my opinion

02 Dec 2017 14:33:18
I'm just putting up an option against McInnes - looking to the future- Anyone but McInnes for me - Murty should be before McInnes - we are all entitled to our opinions -

01 Dec 2017 23:04:22
Steven robinson is doing a great job at motherwell, better than any previous managers, he's getting the best out of a very avarage team at a club with a small budget, if it weren't for dodgy decisions he could have got more from the last 2 games, very unfortunate and closer than anyone else has come so far, I'd take him in a heart beat, he also conducts himself very well with the media and seems to be well clued up, he was also dignified over recent bad decisions and wanted to look at positives rather than negatives

02 Dec 2017 08:24:55
Yes but could he hack the unique pressures that come with managing Rangers that's the million dollar question?

01 Dec 2017 21:46:57
Fellow bear, first time poster, love the site and banter. Reading between the lines I think it will gvb as the next man in charge. Under contract, experience of Scottish football and is the ideal candidate.

01 Dec 2017 22:40:50
Welcome Macbear, I hope to god u are right but I just can’t believe that we would land him!

02 Dec 2017 06:01:22
He would be one of my top choices. Doubt he'll come though

01 Dec 2017 21:00:18
Jack Ross the st. mirren manager. He is in a job and has experience of managing in Scotland could be a potential candidate.

01 Dec 2017 21:48:36
Whoever comes in I want to see Moult arrive! AND a Left Winger. Think that we should try amd bring someone from the EPL on Loan, Teams down South will now know their preferred set up and Players who they may not have been sure about sending out on Loan may now be available! There will be far more choice in the Summer, so bringing in a LW on loan is best option. A 25yr + Player, these are the 2 Positions that we need sorted as soon to possible.

01 Dec 2017 23:07:58
Like the look of Jack Ross and think he will go far in the game. I’d have him before McInnes, McLeish etc. But I would completely understand those bears who wouldn’t want a manger with his inexperience.

I actually think if we end up with McInnes they will go for Ross.

01 Dec 2017 19:06:13
Does anyone apart from the board have an idea who the next boss will be as after hearing Kings comments basically saying that the next manager is someone who is under contract to another club which rules out names that have been bandied about like DeBoer, McLeish, Bilic, Koeman ect and with the like of Allerdice, Moyes, Pardew and Coleman having been taken up by other clubs and McInnes seemingly pledging his future to the sheep I'm beginning to think it's Tommy Wright we're looking at but if not anybody any other ideas other than the names above or the recent ones that have been mentioned in the media if not Wright it's beginning to look like it could be another name out of the blue like Caxinia was? .

01 Dec 2017 19:40:22
its going to be mcinnis after the game at the weekend

01 Dec 2017 20:15:39
He said it won't be a foreigner and they have to know british and scottish football. They better come from a decent masonic lodge too.

01 Dec 2017 20:54:34
What about the st mirren manager Jack ross

01 Dec 2017 21:22:52
albeit said no foreigner still have feeling and would not be unhappy with van bronckhorst

01 Dec 2017 21:48:26
Heard the same as snell.

01 Dec 2017 22:22:52
It’s McInnes

01 Dec 2017 23:47:06
It doesn't matter who gets the managers job . . whoever it is will get pelters judging by the pish on here. Supporters ? Aye good yin. And as far as that pish about " I pay my money so I can shout what I want" is concerned. . naw! . just don't go!

01 Dec 2017 23:49:33
martin canning will be announced on monday

01 Dec 2017 18:59:27
1st time post but I would hate DM to get the job a would rather have the motherwell manager!

01 Dec 2017 21:04:09
another gash coach take moult out and your left with a team of thugs

01 dec 2017 22:56:31
your problem rite there but surely no dm it will turn sour pretty fast

01 Dec 2017 23:03:24
Steven robinson is doing a great job at motherwell, better than any previous managers, he's getting the best out of a very avarage team at a club with a small budget, if it weren't for dodgy decisions he could have got more from the last 2 games, very unfortunate and closer than anyone else has come so far, I'd take him in a heart beat, he also conducts himself very well with the media and seems to be well clued up, he was also dignified over recent bad decisions and wanted to look at positives rather than negatives

01 Dec 2017 18:24:49
Think it's time for DK to take a look at what he says before putting it to press! He stated the managers currently out of work didn't stand up to scrutiny etc, so big sam couldn't manage rangers! What a joke, he's managed at the very very top level and never been relegated, managed England but not up to the job at rangers, why doesn't DK just be honest and admit we simply couldn't afford big sam, speculate to accumulate think that's how it goes mr king.

01 Dec 2017 20:01:39
Think you'll probably find he meant the managers that we could afford! There's no shame in not being able to consider Sam Allerdyce the man's wage demands for himself and his staff are rediculous!

01 Dec 2017 20:33:14
King's a man with a strong business background and doesn't need any lessons in speculate to accumulate. Why should he say come out and say we can't afford big Sam? As far as I know you're the only one who wanted Allardyce.

01 Dec 2017 12:45:17
Personally I don't really see a difference between McLeish and McInnes, bar the £800,000 needed for McInnes. Only bonus with McInnes is we take him away from Aberdeen.
On a choice of the 2 I would take McLeish with Alex Rae.

01 Dec 2017 15:42:58
One big difference is McInnes has been working the last few years.

He's also finished higher in the leaague in that time than big Eck managed in his last season so I would prefer McInnes.

01 Dec 2017 17:49:56
Don't want none of them

01 Dec 2017 17:51:04
How uninspiring to have waited this long to then be told it's just Derick McGinnis

01 Dec 2017 18:43:29
as i said if its mcinnis he will split the fans again same as pc did

01 Dec 2017 20:03:43
Regardless of who's appointed it will split the fans

01 Dec 2017 12:05:54
The majority of the posts regarding DM for manager are negative, the guy has no chance with all this negativity n he ain't even got the job yet! Fellow bears let's be positive for once please who ever the new manager is we need to give them 100% backing!

01 Dec 2017 12:18:49
Most are negative for a reason majority on here can't see what he will bring to the party he looked out of his depth the other night he's untried as a manager at our level of expectation his European experience is negligible as Aberdeen are bad as us of late in qualifying for groups in europa league so apart from blind faith what is there to be positive about?

01 Dec 2017 12:42:21
Am sure if he gets a chance he will prove to
be better than the last few managers we have
had . he is untried as manager at our level yes
but that would be the case with any manager
coming in so how can you prove you can do the
job if you don’t get the chance

01 Dec 2017 13:13:18
CD, the negativity from out support is unreal at times, even the starting eleven each week, there are always folk going aff the nut on the facebook, twitter and instagram pages when the club annouce the starting line up, before a ball has been kicked.

When Murty put Pena in the squad he was getting pelters on facebook, the first port of call for many fans is to criticise rather than be optimistic and support the team. Social media has made it worse though.

Most season ticket holders will back the manager brought i'm pretty certain.

01 Dec 2017 14:07:49
Its part of being a supporter mate and it happens the world over. i'm good mates with a few dhims and they tell me certain players shouldn't be playing and they’re nearly 70 domestic games unbeaten so if it can happen to that mhob then it’ll happen to us

01 Dec 2017 15:20:27
The guy behind me was giving Pena pelters the full game. Some of our support must have been some players when they were younger.

Walter got pelters, Big Eck, Advocaat.

I’m sure the majority will get behind whoever comes in. I was willing Pedro to do well rich up to the end 🙈

01 Dec 2017 15:39:06
I’m 100% behind whoever gets appointed until the day they are no longer manager however until that appointment is made we can all speculate and give options on the options.

For everyone who wants McInnes, I am curious! How do you feel about his big game record domesticity and his shocking European record? Surely this must give you concern? If we are to to have any relative success over the next 2-3seasons then it has to come in qualifying for the Europa league group stage. Not qualifying for this would mean that we hinge all of our hopes on an unlikely League win to have any kind of success.

We have moved forward this season (albeit slowly) results have been flaky but we are scoring more goals and I am convinced we have a better squad. Time will tell if we can go on a run to take us clear of the rest and finish second but for me panicking about the poor results we have had so far and going with a sideways step appointment like McInnes is the wrong plan.

01 Dec 2017 15:44:49
I remember a numbty sat in front of me giving Davie Cooper pelters week in week out in his last season with us!

01 Dec 2017 17:09:44
Cooper was a true legend! They just don’t make them like they used to! 😩

01 Dec 2017 17:23:26
Most people have been negative forever its just now days they have a platform to share it with the world, I remember the good old days of shouting at the telly or from the stands or down the pub but its just on internet now. I remember folk used to moan about amoruso starting every week.

01 Dec 2017 22:18:50
My late dad first lifted me over the turnstiles at Ibrox in 1971, we emigrated to South Africa 2 years later, all we had were The Sunday Post and Mail to read up on the matches and catch up. He used to tear his hair out when we got beat, I often wonder would have been had satellite TV been around then. It is another world we live in now. @Fodtheprod.

01 Dec 2017 09:36:26
Are people serious when they say they don’t want McInnes? He’s gotten Aberdeen to a decent finish in the league since he’s been there, he’s gotten them to a few cup finals and even won one, he’s always made a decent team (enough that we want most of there players every week) with the budget he’s had imagine what he could do at a club our size. Don’t even give me the reason it’s because of the result on Wednesday shows that he’s not a good manager, you judge a man after one game? And yet he’s still higher than us in the league. How many times did we beat a McLeish side? Look how that turned out for us when we got him.

01 Dec 2017 10:14:19
If Mcinnes is confirmed it shows we have a level and that level is him, during Delias time at celtic there was never a better chance to win league, bottled it time and time again when we ran riot the other night he looked lost
Nothing about him inspires confidence can't see how he moves us forward

01 Dec 2017 10:41:36
spot on with your comment, he has reached his level and we will be heading for the same level, how many on
here thinks he will stop 10 in a row

01 Dec 2017 13:25:18
why the constant reference to what he has spent!
If he had went for the same players as a Rangers manager he would have had to spend double and that is fact!
Just because he will (maybe) have a bigger budget means inflated prices to sign for the mighty, and inflated salaries for same reason.

01 Dec 2017 14:09:22
Mcleish couldn't beat us or Selik when he was the Hibs manager or finish above us but he came to us and had success against a really good Selik side

01 Dec 2017 17:26:34
Mcleish is a good manager its just after us he got jobs at wee diddy teams with single fish money. After managing rangers and going else where it must be like working in a 5 star restaurant then moving to mcdonalds.

01 Dec 2017 08:44:28
Relatively eventless AGM yesterday. I'm assuming, reading what I could, that Resolution 11 was passed allowing King and Co to raise money. As for the new manager I'm still not keen on McInnes though it is looking more likely. If it is a manager under contract as has been stated then we could do worse than snatch Steve Clarke from Kilmarnock or Gary Monk from Middlesbrough.

01 Dec 2017 09:35:24
I think it will be mcinnes as well because there's no way we could afford to pay compensation for a top manager from the EPL, or the English championship, I suppose you never know but I really can't see it being anyone other than mcinnes

01 Dec 2017 01:37:43
Got to say I don’t think Alex Rae should be saying Mcinnis is to be the new manager on the strength of his source whether it be right or wrong because whether us as fans agree with it or not it’s not the way the board want it done and it won’t help Mcinnis either

01 Dec 2017 07:38:53
just playing devils advocate here fellow bears but i wonder what would happen IF (big if) murty got another win up there on sun

would we still bring mcinness in as looks odds on if a manager with no experience (murty) beats them twice in back to back games with a so called inferior team?

i’m not saying either murty or mcinness is the clear answer just wondering.

01 Dec 2017 09:52:27
Trouble is mate we are not an inferior team we have better players and they proved that on Wednesday night! I've said for a while now our players need a real leader at the helm someone to bring them together and get the best out of them!

01 Dec 2017 10:54:19
I don't think anyone can say we beat Aberdeen so our manager is better than McInnes or McInnes is a bad manager.

The fact is he has done well with the finances he has. Aberdeen are a far better proposition than they were before he arrived. He built a stronger team than us on a far cheaper budget.

Is he the right man? I don't know but I don't think you can write him off due to 2 games.

30 Nov 2017 23:50:50
It is important to remember Windass is an AM and not a winger. He played upfront more than he did on the wing for Stanley. He's being asked to run rather than create from the middle. Think a good manager would fine tune his strengths and get him to a level of consistency. At 23, having the ability to link up and finish like he can then only a fool would look on and say he's not capable. Undoubtably he has the potential so we should back him and see where he goes from here under the guidance of a new gaffer.

01 Dec 2017 05:45:58
Step forward the fool, he is not capable as he does not have the mentality to play for Rangers. Ability without commitment and desire to win is not enough to be a successful player at the top in football and is even more important at Rangers. Like many players with ability who have been at Ibrox, he does not have the character to play at Ibrox as he folds under the weight of expectation. If only he had his fathers character he would be a player

01 Dec 2017 06:57:07
Finish like he can? Really?

01 Dec 2017 07:22:11
Just recently. Hearts? Partick? Offside goal against Aberdeen? All chances which we're brilliantly executed. Sometimes I wonder if people actually even go to games or have seen the player they are spewing over.
Nobody is saying he's been pivotal in every game. The point was if he can find consistency with a new manager then we have a player in Windass.

01 Dec 2017 08:40:19
I was at the game on Wed night and Windass was excellent. He worked his socks off and took us up the park on numerous occasions on the ball with runs from his own half. He had the rb in his back pocket in the first half! His running off the ball was also diff class. Some fans need to have a look at themselves, we outplayed and outworked Aberdeen and yet they feel the need to come on here and criticise a player. WTF.
