not a Rangers post -

In light of Brora Rangers NOT wanting to gain promotion, instead of playing meaningless games against Edinburgh City, should they not just forfeit both legs and let Edinburgh City go to the play-off against the bottom team in div 2?

Sounds like they have no ambition, and should have stated their case at the start of this season, thus giving the SFA time to think about it.

At least some of our support is starting to see sense in public.
George et al have led us to disaster, and every single one of you so-called loyal supporters who didn't listen to the ones who were telling you, are responsible too.

You removed my link to Ninjaman's article on the Rangers Supporters Loyal page, without which the statement doesn't make any sense. [cue the 'it didn't make any sense anyway' amazing comebacks]

Aye, I for one think you were right all along. How blind we all were. I mean, taking loanees without putting them through medicals, and charging £500k for the gesture, is the way this club should be run.

In all seriousness, anyone attempting to tell us that the former regimes were a better bet, should rerally be out barking at the moon. You are as much a Rangers fan as green teeth.

See that's the problem. The last board were terrible, nobody is arguing with that. They made decisions which were ludicrous, and were beholden to a corporate bully with no interest in our club.

But that doesn't automatically make the new one any better.

This "Real Rangers Men" thing was made up by them to pander to the tribal support. They need us onside because guess who's going to be paying for all the investment they promise? Not the King over the water, that's for sure.

I was told to "wait, give the board a chance" - well it's been a month now and nothing has happened. The loan/gift is peanuts compared to what we need, and does nothing but plaster over the gaping wound. The NOMAD which was "days away" is nowhere to be seen, and we're up against it. And understand that AIM delisting is not a trifle, it means we have zero chance of your Sarvers etc investing.

Where's the transparency? Where's the 3 year in the making plan?

Where is King, and where is George?

if only 10,000 more fans were turning up at all home games, 18 per season and paying just £15 per game, we would generate £2.7m more income. Add to that the ridiculous amount paid to McCoist and cronies, McCulloch. Black and all the ladies coaching team etc it begins to clear a picture as to why we are in trouble. Never mind the wrong doings of previous boards, the new
directors have to find a way of putting a decent team on the park at greatly reduced wages, and at the same time, renovate Ibrox AND cull what is the worst lot of has-beens ever to wear the blue jerseys.
I am 70 and have supported through thick and thin, since I was a nipper, but all the IN-FIGHTING has got us nowhere, and we ARE in severe danger of mediocrity if we fail to gain promotion in May. Look at Leeds Utd, Portsmouth, Notts Forest Etc - if it was easy they would all be back in the Premier league.

the ladies coaching team isn't really a problem. they are on nothing compared to our youth players and all coaching staff.

@OP, the real danger is that many of the young generation of fans have fled for good. The whole " we support the journey " trip was upended by McCoist's dad's army brigade mentality. People lost interest. There's still hope left and his name is Stewart McCall.

Seriously 2022 to get back to the top of scottish football, 7 years to beat teams like Aberdeen and Dundee United and that mhanky mob it's not the EPL. 7 years I personally don't think it will take that long and as for Europe goes who cares as long as we win the SPL and and don't let them overtake our 54 titles. Moaning I know but I hate to think of our achievements getting destroyed.

I've already suffered sitting through that mob winning 9 in a row and the European Cup, to be honest I think it will happen again, the 9 bit I mean, or more even.It will be hard, but we have to get this right, if it takes that long so be it.

Celtic aren't as good as you would think, they are wanting Danny Wilson to replace Van Dijk, they struggle in Europe, they Struggle against smaller teams in Scotland, they have a massive income and aren't really walking away with the league, as fair as I'm aware Aberdeen are still in with a shout at the title? give it 5 years and Aberdeen could be a serious title contender for Celtic, also under McCall right now we are getting a lot better, I think 2022 is a bit of a joke, maybe 2018/19 would be a bit more reasonable, we are only at a loss of 2.9million right now, and that's with selling very little tickets each game and very little merchandise money. with the right people we can be a very profitable club, which will bring in investors, the future looks bright for us, we have some cracking youth players, and our first team squad needs I'd say 5 New players to it to become a top 4 team, I could be wrong, but when we've played SPL teams this year we've been very good, I think 7 years to be back up there is laughable, it'll be more like 3-4 years at most!

Its all about how you interpret Murray saying "the very top".Is it the top league, or the top of the top league?

Agree1 Disagree1

01 Apr 2015 10:50:12
why he didn't really say just "the very top" he said back to were we belong at the very top of Scottish football. this translates into back to challenging celtic, we will be in the top league next year. so yeah I reckon 4 years we will be back at the top of Scottish football.

My interpretation of what Murray states is that we will be challenging in the champions league by2022 but we will be a force in Scotland way before then

Regarding Cashleys Con with the loan players. I would hope a full legal investigation is put in place for this. I know it's a club to club deal but I would hope that as a Scottish member Rangers would get both Scotish and English FAs involved and UEFA . They will probably say nowt to do with us but I would drag Cashleys name through as many mud puddles as I could to discredit his name.
I was also lambaste on here a while ago for saying we should boycot Al his sport shops and associated stores he has his name with. I know sections of the Celtic fans do. Boycotting the games has brought about change, well we can do the same with his stores.
