Kolo, Kolo Toure.

19 Oct 2016 21:38:45
Poor man's Rob Kiernan.

19 Oct 2016 21:38:55
Yaya, Ya I'm with you! Haha, normal European service resumed.

19 Oct 2016 21:51:31
Their defense is as bad as ours is, if we get on the ball and play against them we'll beat them too!

19 Oct 2016 21:54:16
We're laughing now lads but will we come Sunday tea time?
I would just like us to turn up.

19 Oct 2016 23:33:00
Hope Windass or Dodoo and McKay run at that clown he is a donkey exposed tonight and the 3 goals Man City plus 7 Barcelona scored he is mince and slower than a week in Brecon

Roll on Sunday then let's start catching them a bit in league they have a tough 5 games coming up including the Sheep away after the Borussia away leg when they be down after anoth 7-0 humping

No Russia are missing half their top team tonight including top two scorers.

19 Oct 2016 23:43:40
Well lads, hope you all won a right few quid from that result tonight, like me. 😉.

19 Oct 2016 23:16:48
Brenda saying brooniesta still a player at that level what game was he watching 😁.

19 Oct 2016 23:20:32
But we have to remember they beat man city 3 each.

20 Oct 2016 06:15:07
😂😂😂nice1 Baldyger, I actually thought they won the Champs League that night.

20 Oct 2016 08:16:55
_62 your spot on mate, broony the loony is a donkey and looked good against us in the 5-1 game in september because we were very poor on the day and all over the shop. Their captain will know he's been in a game on sunday with andy halliday breathing down his neck at every turn, halliday WON'T stand for this muppets nonsense and imo will have the legs on him, scott brown always has been very overrated! Just imagine barry ferguson against him again! It would be NO contest again just like it was in days gone by. As the old saying goes 'A THOROUGHBRED AGAIN AN ABSOLUTE DONKEY'. No disrespect to a donkey here whatsoever!

20 Oct 2016 08:36:53
hes a class above anything we have, he saved two or three one one ones, still funny though.

we are in no position to laugh at others mishaps, would rather we beat them.

they will collapse if they lose to us.

chances are slim but they said we would not survive this year and here we are sitting 7 points of the top and in all cups, would you of taken that 4 years ago? i woulda

in warbs we trust.

20 Oct 2016 08:47:12
Let's not get carried away now. That was a high intensity game and sceptic were unlucky not to score a few themselves. They did well to match the intensity for long periods of the match. I think we would've been torn apart in that type of game. We would've been split wide open. Anything can happen in a semi final Hampden but I'm still not confident. Let's hope their confidence has taken a beaten and they don't turn up. Maybe we will have a chance.

One huge positive from last night is that at least that mob will stay off this site for a few days. Lick their wounds.

20 Oct 2016 08:54:07
yous are have you heid man, how do you think we would've compared last night?

20 Oct 2016 09:22:05
It was nice to watch but let's get real here! They are still streets ahead of us and the best Scotland has to offer though it pains me to say this. We have a chance on sunday. stop broonie stop celtic simples. Halliday will need to stitch a new pocket on his shorts to accomodate him lol. We are getting better. sunday will show how much and come on the mighty Ton😆.

20 Oct 2016 10:33:23
Said on sports news last nite Wilson not going to make it. That will give us big problems if true . Wilson is the only defender I've got any confidence in.

20 Oct 2016 11:26:06
Nice wee treble on BMG, Barcelona and Arsenal last night. One of my more sensible bets.

As for Toure, yeah terrible night and he is certainly well past his best on that show but he would still walk into our team, wouldn't he?

20 Oct 2016 13:14:12
Think you're right about Toure, past his best but would still walk into our team. Now why couldn't he have saved those mistakes till Sunday, eh!

20 Oct 2016 14:28:53
toure also stopped them form being beat by nore up until his mistakes he was last gasp tackles and the heart of that defence .

I feel for him as he is better than that, he acted like the new effe lol.

but unless we play and just try score more than them then we will get humped as trying to hold selik back when we have 3 in the middle and 3 up top just won't happen we have got to be on the front foot and actually start to take our chances but if we do win we will be contending for the league as it will give us the massive confidence boost we so desperately need.

20 Oct 2016 16:04:37
Wiiiit? Ye FEEL for Kolo? What are you talking about man? I don't just want him to be the new Ambrose, I want him to make Ambrose look like Maldini. And I would laugh my heed aff the entire time. I would be delirious with laughter. I would point at him in the street and pmsl. You feel for him, my word.

20 Oct 2016 16:14:45
I will pop back on Sunday night to see what positives you take from the game and see if your calling for the 'magic hat' to be sacked again.

20 Oct 2016 17:42:15
You just pop back under yer rock pal. See if ye can find big Kolo.

19 Oct 2016 16:06:12
Alan Stubbs sacked by Rotherham. such a wee shame for him.

19 Oct 2016 16:21:23
My heart is breaking for him. Was at his level in Scottish Championship. Never mind, at the end of the season when Lennon fails to take Hibs up Stubbsie can have his old job back. Karma is a bitch sometimes.

19 Oct 2016 16:54:54
I don't think hibs would take him back, i know if he left us the way he did hibs his head would be on a stake outside ibrox, he's a 2 faced snake that should stay in England as far from scottish football as possible.

19 Oct 2016 18:42:42
Personally don't give a monkeys to where stubbsy and his wee lap dog scott allan end up. Just glad it won't be with us, both of them are total failures!

20 Oct 2016 00:04:19
Lol, total failures? 1 with a league winners medal the other with a Scottish cup medal. Just imagine how good they would be if they had a petrofac cup medal as well.

19 Oct 2016 23:36:34
Poor alan stubbs. get it right up ya.

19 Oct 2016 23:35:04
Gunnar, he is what he is, and you should not expect anything else. He will always be a "jungle".

19 Oct 2016 23:36:05
He always was push so hilarious that we tie rag Allan now stranded at a rubbish club not getting a game wondering how well he might have done playing weekly for Rangers rather than choosing to warm Celtic bench

Karma is a bitch.

20 Oct 2016 08:30:19
Lance Armstrong, they both are absolute failures, alan stubbs's remit was to win the league at the hibees (FAILED), any team which has been proven time and time again can win one of cup games, which has been the case since the round ball was invented. Now on to the complete enigma of scott 'the turncoat' allan. He had skelfs in his a**e at celtic park in which they made a complete fool of him. What has this guy ever won on merit? He got a league title medal for sitting on his a**e doing nowt or should i say being deemed not good enough to be given a chance of doing nowt! Aye Lance, both these guys are big winners, my rectum! Failures and always will be!

20 Oct 2016 14:42:23
lance mate what exactly have they done not to be classed as failures.
allan signed for that mob just to sit and get fat.
stubbs didn't win the league he was supposed to and got sacked after just 14 games in charge of Rotherham.

yes they are both big success stories. you are a very smart person lance.

20 Oct 2016 15:58:56
Never said they were big success mate. I said they were not failures. not bad winning 5 one off games for the 1St time in 112 years. Get over the fact allan never joined you and stubbs done one over on the hat in the final. Next you shall be telling me Andy halliday should be playing with scotland cause he has a championship winners medal.

20 Oct 2016 17:32:34
1 wee question supercooper and James Stirling just a yes or no answer. Rangers get to league cup final, Scottish cup final win it, finish second or third in the league. Shall warburton be a failure.

19 Oct 2016 13:20:28
It's just dawned on me that we're playing in the League cup and MW uses a different starting XI in these games. Wonder if he'll stick to that strategy.

E. g Gilks in sticks, Hodosn LB, Forrester LW etc. Leaving McKay, Wallace, Wes on bench.

19 Oct 2016 13:37:31
Can't imagine him changing too much. I'm 50/ 50 whether he would stick with Gilks as this is his competition but at the same time this is a chance for us to get a trophy so would expect the same regular faces in Wallace and McKay etc. Hope to see something different though soon!

19 Oct 2016 14:10:14
I read gilks saying in an interview that he expected to play in semi due to agreement that he played in cup games. I personally think Wes will play on sun.

19 Oct 2016 14:51:22
Gilks will play I think as MW had said previously that he would get the cup game. I don't really have a problem with that. Think both are decent keepers.

19 Oct 2016 15:16:32
This is an opportunity to get to a Cup Final and should be treated as such. IMO play your strongest team. This nonsense you can play in cup games but not good enough for League games doesn't fit with me. After all we are innit to winnit.

19 Oct 2016 21:45:55
You can bet your life that the front three won't change.

19 Oct 2016 23:47:24
I agree forsyth, that we are innit to winnit, unfortunately we seem to have a "Frank Sinatra" team selection policy, and that is a MW version of My Way. My biggest fear is he will go ahead with his wide open attacking policy. In my opinion that is wrong, and he will play as we did at the piggery, wide open.

Unfortunately, my wee ticker could not handle that, so, just like at the piggery, I have got shot of my ticket. And before I get all the crap, I pay to support my team and if anyone does not like it, tough.

19 Oct 2016 23:54:57
Gilks won't weaken the team so I don't think your point is valid. surely if Warburton has promised he will play in the cup games he should be good to his word.

20 Oct 2016 08:53:08
Geez yer ticket Billy.

20 Oct 2016 14:47:16
warbs said to gilks he will start so I believe he will start and also I think warbs style of play could work in a different formation but like we all have found out he is too stubborn to change it.

20 Oct 2016 17:06:15
MPF, Sorry mate, it was given to an old friend.

19 Oct 2016 09:32:29
I'd like to chuck in my 2 pence worth for the old firm match. I've noticed that teams managed by Rodgers after European games struggle to get a result. I don't know how accurate my percentages are here but I'm happy to say that Rodgers has a 30% win ratio after a European game, this puts a lot of hope in me for Sunday, BUT only if Warburton picks a fast paced team. Celtic will want to go all out tonight and get a win, but to do that against the Germans they will need to give 100%, this will play massively into our favour. Celtic will attempt to do the same as they done against Man City. I still don't have the greatest amount of confidence for the Celtic match but looking at Rodgers and how he does after European games really does give you quite a bit of hope that we can win on Sunday.

19 Oct 2016 11:32:26
What a load of tripe.

19 Oct 2016 11:55:52
Fantastic input Djab, what is your reason for believing my point is a load of tripe?

19 Oct 2016 11:56:59
I think you might be clutching at straws. They have won all there matches this season after euro matches apart from 1. Including a thumping 4 1 win against Aberdeen. He might of struggled in epl after Europe but he won't have that trouble in Scotland.

19 Oct 2016 12:13:00
Yes this season so far Celtic have done fine after European matches, St Johnstone away (Near enough gave away a 3 goal advantage), Aberdeen at home easily won it, Dundee (weren't that impressive against a dreadful Dundee side) also Inverness they got a draw and looked very tired. That is my point here, 3 out of 4 games were very close scorelines against poor opposition. Most noticeable results are the ones after playing big teams. Inverness draw and 1-0 against Dundee. IF Celtic go all out tonight in the typical Brendan Rodgers fashion they will tire themselves out massively. Plus let's be honest here, in an old firm match you use a LOT more energy than any other match, you try a lot harder, and you run a lot more than any other game. Celtic will be tired, and we need to utilise this.

19 Oct 2016 12:18:49
Borussia going to skelp Celtic tonight. City game was a fluke. Hazard brace or hattrick

Sunday is a different kettle of fish. Can't see us winning it but don't see it being like the last match. Will be a lot closer, prob 2-1 them. Which would be progress.

19 Oct 2016 12:34:24
Very fair point, and as you said its more so about the midfield. I think we need to be on our toes and have Garner in there to rough up their centre halves and move in between the lines.

Looking forward to it anyways.

19 Oct 2016 12:50:40
Can see Garner or Forrester, if they play, being sent aff.

19 Oct 2016 13:34:42
just saying one thing guys no matter the result tonight we are nowhere near ready to give them a game, its simple they play better football than us with better players and grasping at straws saying oh they only have a 3 day break before the big game is Ludacris.
These are professional athletes in the first quarter of a season and no matter how hard they try tonight 3 days is plenty to recover from any game.

I hope i'm wrong though. but realistically I think they will hammer us again maybe a comfortable 3-1.
saying that because 3 in the middle of the park against them is just stupidity.

19 Oct 2016 14:24:47
hope celtic do well tonight, monchengladbach are nothing special anyway.

19 Oct 2016 14:04:31
its not just rodgers team its every team that plays midweek in europe but we should gain some advantage.

19 Oct 2016 15:01:53
Do you know it's 30% or I'd that a guess? Whether it's 'tripe' depends on your answer.

I don't share your confidence, although I think we will make more of a game of it this time. (Hopefully)

19 Oct 2016 15:54:01
Dishco Squad, it is 33.33% if you want to be specific mate. the other 66.66% were drawn or lost.

19 Oct 2016 16:13:11
The scale of the game will make it easier for selik to be up for it rather than coming bak to play a ict/ motherwell etc so don't see it being to much of an issue tbh.

19 Oct 2016 16:36:43
as long as there's no bullcrap from fans after the sun game ill be happy.

19 Oct 2016 17:29:14
Only show. i'm just checking if that was an i'm 99.99% sure pun? Difficult to work out lol.

20 Oct 2016 14:54:25
I agree bhoy wonder I think that fans of both sides need to gro up and stop this rubbish wrecking toilets/ bringing your club to shame and fines is unacceptable.

also their behaviour with some of the banners and hanging fake rangers fans is disgracefull and the rest of the world see that .

we should yes be passionate but in a way that doesn't get our clubs into bother and on the back pages for the wrong reasons.

19 Oct 2016 03:39:18
Wee subject change: I was listening to Sportsound about a week ago, Derek Ferguson and Scott Macdonald were on the panel amongst others and they discussed Scotland playing at Hampden, both SM and DF agreed that most of our games should be played at Ibrox Parkhead Tyncastle or even Easter Road. We need as much help as possible and any impact the crowd can giv is lost at Hampden, even the size of can go against us with how we are trying to play. Apparently 35k for the Lithuania game, it makes total sense that these types of games should be played at the Old Firms Grounds. Also what a fantastic ADVERT for Scottish football to see a half empty Stadium for a Lge Cup Semi-Final between the sheep and the ton! The SFA should be ashamed of themselves I mean how hard could it be to get this sorted even last yrs Scottish Cup Semi looked gash.

19 Oct 2016 07:41:00
What about Murrayfield? Holds more than Celtic park and there is talk about it getting used when the lease at hampden is up.

19 Oct 2016 12:52:12
We should play it doon ma back. Stick some jumpers doon for goalposts or use the washing lines. That's the sort of level the national team have been playing recently anyway. Would suit them.

19 Oct 2016 15:05:13
it will be the last contract the sfa have with hampden that's for sure. I can see murrayfield being the new national stadium and maybe the great ibrox aswell as that place they call celtic park.
