19 May 2020 21:42:46
Is the season completely finished or are they hoping to squeeze in the Scottish cup semi and final to accommodate celtic.

19 May 2020 22:10:40
Ger1 we have a europa tie to play.

20 May 2020 08:01:02
John25, ye a lot of people are forgeting that, or maybe the other stuff happening is making some forgetful, i know halliday would maybe not have been involved in this game, but all must be sorted out, if we've released players already, mate.

20 May 2020 08:10:52
We can't play the europa game on an equal basis as we have released first team squad members so unless we are allowed to sign and register new players that can play in the return leg then this tie must also be null and void.

20 May 2020 10:38:41
Transfers and contracts were always going to be a sticky issue when C.V.iots closed everything down.
Unless you could keep the players registered to play out remaining games then it could create an unfair advantage/ disadvantage.
Anyway, that issue has been resolved by ending the league season as is (right or wrong) .
Personally, I still think the cup should be played to completion behind closed doors and they could theoretically apply the pre- quarantine rules (there are not a whole bunch of rounds to be played around the country)
For me, what's done is done and complaining will change nothing. it's time to move on and plan next Seasons campaign.

19 May 2020 19:33:08
The clear out has began.
Wes, Halliday and Flanagan all leaving when their contracts expire. 👍.

19 May 2020 19:55:50
Holt, Alnwick and Rossiter also away apparently.

19 May 2020 20:18:59
I personally want to take this opportunity in thanking especially andy halliday for absolutely giving everything he had for our club and the team we all love. He may not be the greatest footballer to ever grace the hallowed turf of ibrox but he had the heart of a lion and would have ran through brick walls for rangers. In attitude, andy halliday was world class! I wish him all the very best for the rest of his career. I think he'll honestly get a decent club. I also wish the rest the best of luck and wes foderingham was also a good signing for us. He's a very capable goalkeeper.

19 May 2020 20:35:41
Heard he's away to Dundee SGL. Would do decent there probs.

19 May 2020 21:21:36
We all love a blue nose but at the end of the day Andy Halliday simply not good enough he lived the dream. Good luck to him where ever he ends up. Who said Dundee mmm.

19 May 2020 21:40:45
Barker, Jones and Middleton need to be added to that list and let Ojo and Kamberi go back to their parent clubs.
Look to sell Docherty, McCrorie and Stewart.
We need some serious surgery with a genuine hard centre mid a priority!

19 May 2020 22:19:10
Swanseablue, i agree with you regarding selling barker, jones and stewart. I also agree with you on letting ojo and kamberi go back to their parent clubs, liverpool and hibs respectively. I disagree with you regarding middleton, mccrorie and docherty. I would let glen middleton go out on loan, in my opinion i'd bring back ross mccrorie as there's a future at rangers for him. This leads me to greg docherty.

If the stories are true that we're interested in signing aberdeen midfielder lewis ferguson then for me we already have a better midfielder currently on loan at hibs, in greg docherty. Give the guy a proper chance is what i think and there's no need for us trying to sign ferguson, as we already have a better midfielder than him, in the form of greg docherty!

20 May 2020 05:58:06
SGL
Heart of lion or whatever means hee haw. He, had skill and passing ability of a cucumber. He was a dud. Your assertion bout his love of club, running thru walls is twenty years out of date. Personally would pass him his P45 show him how it's done.

20 May 2020 07:28:06
Honestly we can’t afford to give guys a chance like McCrorie and Docherty, simply because we need to stop celtic from getting 10. And let’s be honest Gerrard doesn’t really rate them either more Docherty than McCrorie. And when three players have had their chance they knew it, move them on.

20 May 2020 07:28:47
Big Ross is an excellent player and as the Boss said recently a future Captain.

20 May 2020 08:02:37
Mr tupac, i thought i read they were paid up & away already, mate,

20 May 2020 08:08:03
Penrith bear, andy done something we could only dream of, imagine the noise when coming out the tunnel, known you could be the big hero that say, must be some buzz, eh., mate.

20 May 2020 16:26:04
Didn’t see Andy letting anyone down last season . infact quite the opposite . The boy played well when asked to . and infact took one game by the scruff of the neck when he came on, so I really think he deserves a bit of slack and thanks
Cheers and good luck Andy Halliday.

20 May 2020 18:02:59
MBW, I’ve seen plenty of cucumbers with great passing ability in my time 🤣.

19 May 2020 19:25:08

Answer please driving me mad?

20 May 2020 08:09:04
Blue blue sea, do you know what the op is on about, I've not got a clue, honestly, some kind of footie game obviously, i don't mind admiting, i know nowt about these games, mate,

20 May 2020 10:45:29
Me neither Paulellen but give me winning the title by 7 points any day of the week! 👍.

19 May 2020 18:42:38
‪Resolution 12 dropped and closed. Cue Mass hysteria. but, but, but it's no fair. their AGM will be a lot shorter this year 😂😂😂😂😂🖕🏻‬.

19 May 2020 19:26:37
A tainted title for Res 12 to be dropped.
I'm sure the Tims will be happy with that all in the name of Sporting Integrity! 😂😆😂
Over to you Leon etc😷👀.

19 May 2020 17:22:04
Why are there people on here saying, well they would have won it any way.
That's the cry of the "Great Unwashed", I'll say this again-would you put your house on us "not" getting 3 points at Ibrox against them-I wouldn't. Would we be big favs to win game in hand-yes.

That's 6 points closer with seven games to go, we've already showed them how to play at the piggery so could do it again, they would be running out that tunnel to the 2nd biggest roar in Scottish football the pressure would be on them more than us the nerves on both sides would be causing a few mistakes costly mistakes maybe their captain giving a penalty away, it definitely wouldn't be a normal game. So not impossible to get 3 points. Then it would have been 3 points behind and we would be bang right in the fight.

But we were robbed of that chance, we will never know and 🍿 popcorn teeth says it's his best title win. Nothing we can do now so come on Steven Gerrard you can stick it right up them next season. They should have won nothing. Doncaster and liewell gave them the title and we gave them the league cup.
They are nothing special.
We are the special ones.

19 May 2020 19:35:20
they would have won it anyway lol we couldn't even beat Hamilton accies at home -even the bottom club beat us twice.

19 May 2020 19:59:44
Outlander, I love your optimistic post, however Hearts beat us twice, Accies beat us at home, lost a lead at St Johnstone, we were dropping points all over the place and showing no signs of recovery.

19 May 2020 19:44:51
Deecee, that's the beauty of the game, if we all knew what games would be won (by clubs worldwide), we would all be multimillionaires, so unpredictable, whose to say we couldn't have won the league? as long as it was possible, it was doable, mate.

19 May 2020 21:24:12
Your right mate we couldn't even beat Hamilton but that's academical we prob wouldn't have beaten anybody in the last 9 games and finished 3rd. we would have continued on a bad run till the end of the season cause it's impossible for a team to sort it's dressing room and other issues out.

It was a total fluke beating the Tim's on their own patch, and an even bigger fluke was the run in the Europa if only we could have got as far as celtic.
So your right celtic won it fair and square we had no chance, now I'll get back to my deecee comic. LOL.

19 May 2020 21:56:50
Sir struth, we have been on a lengthy break just now if the season would have resumed Imo the bad run could have turned to a good run, a chance to get the heads clear we had a mountain to climb that's for sure but Imo it was climeable, but we weren't given the chance. I respect your way of thinking but I believe in mine, stay safe.

19 May 2020 22:03:52
Spot on paulellen, I wish I had a quid for every time my brother said, man city let me down or Barcelona let me down, there's always one big team let's you down on the coupon, surprises happen every week.

20 May 2020 08:12:51
outlander is right! or otherwise we accept all the horses can stop at the final fence and decide for themselves who wins the race. yeh and I mean the horses. not won, given! 3.79 titles it is.

19 May 2020 15:58:51
Let them have their tainted title and its a disgrace any of them were allowed to congregate last night to celebrate in a supposed lockdown. The Spanish police would have baton charged them to disperse or rounded them up but not here. They get special treatment just like from the corrupt incompetent SPFL. As for us great to see excellent new Castore deal. Hoping we also learn from the post break capitulation. No more Dubai ever again. A week at Gullane sands be cheaper and better for fitness levels. As for the team a full inquest required on how every single player was awful since the winter break. New Captain required and some new players with fight and a winning mentality which were clearly missing from the absolutely awful performances we produced since the break. Big season ahead for SG.

19 May 2020 16:28:44
My exact sentiments steviec.

Make or break season for S. G. tho.

19 May 2020 16:33:05
Try telling Gerrard that but hell no listen.

19 May 2020 17:25:34
Stevie , i'm looking about online, and this res12 has reared its head agai, again, again, couldn't be if rangers fc are willing to drop our complaint about a title that was awarded they have dropped res 12, bring it on, let's get to the courts we can't lose. how can anybody win a race when the race was cancelled, these nutcases running our football will have us all as daft as them, if we let them continue., mate.

20 May 2020 08:13:51
well said paul. my sentiments exactly. when an injunction is used to bring the players payments back into the case. immediately weakens any subsequent case. noise and usual whining. give me a 0.79 title.

19 May 2020 15:45:18
If Budges ill advised legal action on Jam Tarts relegation somehow succeeds does this remove Tims league win or simply move it further down worthiness scale?

19 May 2020 16:33:08
Nothing but an atomic bomb landing on the piggery will get the trophy from them Millerb mate.

What the SPFL corrupt board has gifted let no man pull asunder.

19 May 2020 16:34:03
Still hope hearts get wats coming to them religation.

19 May 2020 13:26:32
Looking at the fine print from uefa. There maybe a chance of NO european football for Scottish clubs. If this is the case. Well done to the spfl.

19 May 2020 17:40:03
Not a chance SPFL. Have letter of comfort from UEFA guaranteed no impact calling league on European places that’s what the hold up was in calling it that and Peter Liewell need briefing from Doncaster to make sure Tim’s not inconvenienced in anyway.

19 May 2020 12:43:23
I have been a Rangers supporter for 50 years and I salute Celtic for winning the league. The best team won fair and square, we gave them a run for their money until we fell apart in pathetic style. Nobody to blame but ourselves i. e. the players and the manager (although a lack of funds contributed) . Lots of comments on here saying we need players with winning mentalities, but that is exactly what Gerrard went out to buy, but obviously failed. The players were soft, lacked grit, determination, a hatred of losing, and most of all the skill and ability to succeed. A lot of changes required to turn this around.

19 May 2020 12:57:10
They didn't 'win' anything, they were 'awarded' the title. That makes it won 8.awarded 1.

19 May 2020 13:15:30
Totally agree Muppet, For me we need to win the league next year or it's bye bye sg, do we have to win the league or will a cup do for you and if we win nothing do you give sg another crack at it, for me it has to be the league.

19 May 2020 13:25:30
"WON" the league fair and square? 😂😂😂
You are starting to sound like your username! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣.

19 May 2020 14:00:32
Spot on Mr Tupacman! The Muppet, how can you WIN a league fair and square when we had 9 games to play and them 8,with 2 old firm games left to play? They didn't win anything pal,
they were awarded the league title simple as that! On the steven gerrard talk, i would say he has to deliver silverware next season and i truly believe he will. The league we all know is the main one and i truly think it will be very close for the title next season! In gerrard i trust! If we can be more consistent against the so called smaller clubs,
we'll win the league because gerrard has proved he can beat them and apart from 2 old firm games, since he became rangers manager, we've played celtic off the park. This AIN'T a great celtic team by any stretch of the imagination! Get behind stevie G and the players and i'm confident we will win the league!

19 May 2020 14:00:35
Sorry Muppet but they did not win the league. Neil and his mates conspired to get it concluded and they were awarded it. It wasnt won because all the games weren't played.

19 May 2020 14:06:42
muppet, won fair and square and you salute them well good luck with that one if the league was played to a finish like a lot of countrys are doing I would agree with the fair and square bit but the fact they were gifted the league I don't know how you can salute them.

19 May 2020 16:20:41
Muppet by username, Muppet by nature.

19 May 2020 18:20:08
They didn’t win the league fair and square and Gerrard did have the funds. Muppet the name suits you pal.

19 May 2020 19:00:24
If Gerrard doesn’t win the league title next year then I think he 100% will leave the club he knows that’s what he’s here for and if he can’t do it in 3 years he will walk, and if he doesn’t we should get rid anyway, that mob are nothing special a Walter Smith team would have walked the last couple of seasons and that’s what we should be aspiring to.

19 May 2020 19:55:55
Doiger, do you know the day after they got handed the title, wee nikla announces clubs to start playing again, do you think that was a coincidence, they've been trying to get this title as quickly as possible, ', i think it definitely looks shiftier than doncaster himself.

19 May 2020 22:25:58
Sorry guys but you have to accept the reality, Celtic won the league, albeit the competition was ended early, they were miles in front and there was no way we were going to catch them. You can dream all you like but it was just not going to happen, we were playing so bad we couldn't beat any of the teams at the bottom of the league, let alone put a winning streak together to enable us to go on and top the table.

It's pure fantasy. Celtic are the champions and it is now all about next season, let's see if Gerrard can turn it around. I for one have moved on and have accepted that Celtic are the champions and even if the league had been played to a conclusion they would have ended top, to believe otherwise is just wishful thinking. Don't get me wrong I would have loved nothing better than to have see us turn it around but it is just not realistic with the way we were playing which to remind you all, was awful.

19 May 2020 22:34:53
No title won. Perhaps our small group of players ran iut of steam and our opponents with greater resource were always favourites. Perhaps we punched above our weight? I don't like the constant criticism of Steve G and a group if honest pros.

19 May 2020 11:15:52
Wheteher we agree with the results of this seasons closure or not. Whether we choose to boycott away or not. There is nothing more important than stopping those cretins across the road next season.

I have been saying for a while now that we are a good team but just lack winners. People who have gone the distance in a league before. This includes our manager. Our main focus should be bringing in 1 or 2 who have that grit and experience.

So firstly lose the dead weight without weakening our first team or squad:

Out: Foderingham, Alnwick, Firth, Halliday, Rossiter (yeah still here), Holt, Ojo, Barker, Hastie, Middleton

That's 10 out without touching our main pool. I know some may say get rid of others but e. g. Stewart more benefit than Hastie so kept him in.

I would like to see HAgi come in.

19 May 2020 11:47:06
Definitely agree with your players too leave - how realistic they will leave? And if they don’t why aren’t we trying to get them off the books?

Who would you like to see come in app art from signing hadgi permanent?

If Alfie goes - who realistically could we get to replace him with his goal scoring record and without the antics?

Davis I fear is not fit enough to last a whole season
So another central midfielder who can spray passes and open defences would be good
And too centre back
So a solid spine to stay with would be good

Would really like to see a top young striker sign for us
Not sure who we could afford or attract at the minute though

How much do we all think them across the city will spend to try and get the coveted 10? Tainted or not it will be 10 if they win the next

For me we have to stop them this coming season and stop them good .

Please let Gerrard finally be the Manager we all hope can do it and get this coming season right in terms of tactics and signings.

19 May 2020 14:02:57
Jake hastie hasn't had a proper chance yet Bluegenius! There's a player in hastie.

19 May 2020 14:55:50
SGL - I tend to agree but feel we are flogging a dead horse as it appears Gerrard not a fan.
Who else would I like to see:

I think we should be looking for someone who has been through the journey more than once at multiple league winning side like Juve, PSG or a smaller league. Obviously we are not going to get the big hitters but a squad member who has that embedded in them. E. G. we were linked with Marchisio a while back that would have been awesome.

I think we should persist with our CB's at present and full backs as long as no-one leaves. McGregor has 1 more season but would like to see him backed up by McCrorie.

Strikers I will go onto but for our supporting 3 I would love another RW to come in. Akin to Kent. Can you imagine Kent on left, Hagi through middle and another of Kent's quality on right? You could still bring in Aribo.
Up front - if Morelos leaves, there are loads of options and I believe we should bring in 2 or 3 of - Mohamed (Zamalek) Buya Turay (Sint Truden), Mala (Bordeaux), Grbic (Clermont) Dykes (Livingston) Hoczic (D. Zagreb)

19 May 2020 19:20:34
how can we keep a captain who has no spine a defender who panics when the ball is at his feet a mid who has had his time here I would keep halliday before this lot.

19 May 2020 20:00:51
Bluegenius, i'd hope gerrard wins us the league, i would be looking for a few liverpool first team players on loan from liverpool if i was him, the guys worshiped down bye, time is right to ask for favour for services rendered, mate, lol.

20 May 2020 06:45:06
Car-d I would keep Tav but certainly not as captain.
Settling our back 4 will help and I would not solely rely on Tav and Goldson as much. They were overplayed. We have 4 relatively solid CB's.

20 May 2020 06:54:13
I posted this in the hope of some forward thinking. I didn't drop anyone near first team because we can still use them even if they drop to 2nd choice.
For those that say get rid of Tav - would you prefer Flanagan? Get rid of worst first. We are not playing Fifa. You can't empty your squad and start again.
Tell me Car-b instead of skating others who do you think we should bring in? Let me guess. its not your job that's why we have scouts etc?

19 May 2020 09:44:01
The SPFL will make sure the Scottish Cup gets played.

They would not deny Celtic the chance of a treble.

Nothing else here for us anymore.

We MUST push for England!

19 May 2020 10:36:30
It's nothing to do with the SPFL👍
It's an SFA trophy.

19 May 2020 11:01:10
Are you telling me there is a difference or who calls the shots?

19 May 2020 11:12:21
Tupacman, Are you having a laugh? Wake up and smell the coffee 🙃🇬🇧.

19 May 2020 18:23:27
England will never happen, they don’t want us down there.

19 May 2020 20:02:25
Mr tupac, surprised by you, making such comment mate, stirred with the same broom that lot, mate,

19 May 2020 09:42:33
It just proves the lack of class of Lennon with his snide remarks and celebrating a 'deserved' title 'win'. Surely he could have accepted the trophy more graciously and with a bit of humility under the present circumstances? We'll never know how it might have panned out despite our slump in form after the winter break.

I still think the decision to call the league by the corrupt SPFL is a disgrace. Not sure I'm even looking forward to a new season, if it happens, as at every turn the muppets who run the game in Scotland seem determined to stop us from getting back on top. Stay safe Bears.

19 May 2020 10:38:10
Did you really expect anything different from Lennon?
He's been the worst import into the Scottish game in the last 20 years👍.

19 May 2020 12:14:05
It’s not just Lennon that whole club has no class, 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇦🇺⚽️😎👍.

19 May 2020 15:06:33
I got a mate who is a man utd fan so has no agenda or bias in the Scottish game. He was disgusted with the way Lennon spoke yesterday and can't get his head round someone being so self centered and blinkered to what is going on in real life.

Yet somehow the press up here lap it up and think he is a top bloke. Irks me right off!

19 May 2020 15:18:56
Snell lennon is your typical irish Republican.

19 May 2020 20:04:05
6counties, yip him and most of the others running our game, our country if we don't waken up, mate.

19 May 2020 06:42:50
The manager needs to let the players look long and hard at Lennon standing in front of the league trophy saying it's "the best one yet" and understand how this feels for us fans. There will probably be players in our squad who will feel nothing and not be bothered.

If they think it's bad just now, they've no idea how bad it'll be next season if they get 10. There is absolutely no room for errors now - next season is huge and big decisions need to made by Stevie G - we can't have a captain who publicly states the players can't cope with pressure, a winger who says we play better when there's no expectations - well Kent and others need to realise there will be massive expectations from the fans next season.

Yeah, football is secondary to what's happening just now, but it still hurt seeing Lennon with that trophy.

19 May 2020 09:54:16
Contract due to expire
Foderingham
Alnwick
Flanagan
Halliday
Holt

Ojo
Kamberi
Hagi

May try to move on
Stewart
Pollster
Docherty
Mcrorie Ross

I would keep mccrorie and kamberi.

19 May 2020 09:41:31
There is a lot of talk about "getting on with it" forget the astrix etc. Probably wise advise. However, when you now see in full, the rather pathetic, vindictive way everyone, it seems, in the game are piling in, Lennon, Jackson telling us if we knuckle down we might just gain some respect back.

Screw that and them! No need for this to be a childish response. On the contrary, let's get our best minds around this, say as little as possible but ACT within the laws in our and only our best interest. I would LOVE a successful away ground boycott, squeeze the loan player rule in a synical way to suit us, contribute nothing unless we have to.
Enough!

19 May 2020 09:30:47
Agreed SirStruth.

19 May 2020 10:32:39
I could see the last 4 you mentioned staying, think they could play a part in the 1st team squad John.
I can see barisic, kamara and Morelos moving on.

19 May 2020 11:00:11
I’m sure I read that Jamie Murphys contract is up at end of season.

19 May 2020 13:54:30
Jaws Murphy contract up 2021.
Gosh I forgot about rossiter and I’d get rid Firth.

19 May 2020 13:55:24
U r right mr grumpy. We will be much weaker if your three leave.

19 May 2020 15:00:44
or should it hurt more they think they were the hardest hit club. the delusion pouring out of that club defies description and Scotland's tolerance also.

19 May 2020 18:31:15
My five freed tonight plus rossiter who I’d forget about. Good salary savings nearly 3:5 million a year if u count Herrera leaving in February.

19 May 2020 00:11:40
Time to reflect and look at our own teams performance in the second half of the season. No point in pointing fingers at SPFL and Celtic . Recruitment in the summer needs to be spot on - need winners not potential. Remember how Today feels . Let’s be sitting here this time next year celebrating an honest and deserved title.

19 May 2020 09:33:41
Spot on Gers09,

Lets hope our players, manager, coaches, fans, etc all realise the truth mate.

19 May 2020 14:33:18
Every point in calling out corruption and coercion don't you think?

19 May 2020 20:09:49
Seeker, yes, or things will stay the same, mate, none as blind as those that don't look, mate.
