Wouldn't it be great if we had dallas and weiss as our wingers.

20 Jun 2016 06:32:04
Dallas has stated previously he would never play with us as he is massive celtic fan.

19 Jun 2016 18:18:07
Few places saying we r in talks with striker James Vaughan. Thoughts bears? Also any1 heard anything on the boy knox?

19 Jun 2016 20:29:29
Have also seen on several sites now that we're seemingly in talks with huddersfield town striker james vaughan, when he was at everton he was regarded as a great talent when he broke through, since then he hasn't quite lived up to his early promise but this is where warbs comes in, our manager is terrific at getting players that have lost their way a bit and getting them back to their early career form, if he can do that with vaughan if we do sign him then we'll have a very good striker on our hands!

19 Jun 2016 18:11:30
If we get Vaughan and Mariappa i'll be one happy bluenose who honestly thinks it'll be 50/ 50 for the title next season but the player that i think would guarantee us the title is Daniel Bentley.

We need a goalkeeper and from what i've heard he is something special. A couple of seasons up here would do him wonders, then he can go and do a Forster and chase the money down there.

19 Jun 2016 18:46:27
Celtic haven't started there incoming business yet so who knows a don't think a Southend goalie will guarantee us the title but hopefully am wrong.

19 Jun 2016 21:20:15
without going into him winning us title, believe me he is a cracker.

19 Jun 2016 21:25:03
Unfortunately no one can guarantee you the league. Trust in the manager, he will bring in the right players and get the most out of them.

Would love to win the league this season but it might be a season to early.

19 Jun 2016 21:47:41
Am not having a pop at the boy I've never saw him play my point was signing a good goalie ain't gona guarentee us anything.

19 Jun 2016 19:14:21
Away support celtic then Ryan you obviously don't have any faith in rangers every post u make is negative.

20 Jun 2016 00:17:58
Ryan makes a fair point. I just see us signing bentley or mcgovern and the latter of the two ain't going to add any sell on value to the team whereas you could get bentley (who's being tracked by burnley and top championship sides) , we still only need to pay 250k max because of that beautiful rule which we're taking advantage of big time and he must look at us and think well look how it turned out for Forster.

19 Jun 2016 17:55:53
In a scale of 1 10 how happy are fellow rangers fans about how things have moved on regarding management scouting and players from where we were when Motherwell beat uz be honest I'm 8 still improvements could be made nothing's perfect that day Motherwell beat uz I was gutted but changed everything for uz in the right direction.

19 Jun 2016 18:13:58
By the time you are 9, hopefully you will be able to spell 'us' properly. You said to be honest.

19 Jun 2016 18:41:53
I liked that there very good just spell it the way I say it sometimes and I wish I was still 8 lol.

19 Jun 2016 21:08:42
I'm an ex goalie and seen Bentley on a number of occasions, he's an excellent young goalkeeper who could be world class with time and good coaching.

He's tall and almost inhumanly agile. I've never seen a keeper able to fly across his goal as well as he can, I feel he doesn't command his box enough and could work on his handling but as a shot stopper he's exceptional.

Out of all our signing targets he's the one I'm most excited about.

19 Jun 2016 21:40:27
Humey the club have 10 out of 10 from me in moving us forward, mw and his crew know what they are doing, though weither they've got us the bast players to win the league, we will just have tk wait and see, you can only piss with the c. k youve been giving mate, but yip we have made 100 per cent, improvement in regards the way we are moving imho.

19 Jun 2016 16:26:25
DR suggesting that Mariappa was on £40k per week at Palace, can anyone confirm this? If so I very much doubt that he's going to take a 75-80% pay cut to join us!

19 Jun 2016 16:34:12
I would doubt very much he was on £40k at palace.

19 Jun 2016 16:40:47
75-80% you think we'll pay him 8k a week at best? He'll be offered 10-14k a week. Also he is now without a team.

19 Jun 2016 16:34:52
I need to find this website that shows everyone's wage slips?

19 Jun 2016 16:57:30
This is the real world mate, information is pretty easy to access if you want to access it. £40k a week is below the EPL average so it's hardly far fetched is it!

19 Jun 2016 17:00:22
@onlyshownaround - £10k is 25% of £40k is it not? A 75% decrease!

19 Jun 2016 17:50:48
A player with no club is earning £0 per week so anything is a wage rise on that.

19 Jun 2016 18:01:35
Rfcinfinity, I know that mate but I would still state that you don't know that to be a fact and as far as I am concerned you're just guessing.

The average doesn't mean it is paid to everyone and as a free agent I think he's averaging about hee-haw.

19 Jun 2016 18:19:19
Also, crystal palace reportedly had the lowest average wage in the EPL 2013/ 14 at £19,205 p/ w and I doubt it doubled randomly in 14/ 15 so I would say your putting to much faith in the papers.

19 Jun 2016 19:11:39
It's highly unlikely he was anywhere near 40k!
Have you not seen the Tottenham wages that were online? Vertonghan is on 35k! I think you will find that most teams in EPL are less than 40k however with the top six paying so much it tips the scales. I think you would be surprised at what some EPL players are getting, it's NOT 80-150k p/ w.

20 Jun 2016 06:40:26
People often think that everyone playing in the EPL is on monster money whereas it's only really the very top teams paying it. Who knows what he is on however I doubt Rangers will be the only ones in for him. Fingers crossed we can get him would be another great signing.

19 Jun 2016 14:14:14
Anyone else thinking the players we are being linked with are Hearts and Aberdeen quality right know?

Is this honestly where we want to be come the end of the season, barely piping Hearts or Aberdeen to 2nd but finishing double digits behind Celtic?

19 Jun 2016 14:34:17
Don't agree mate niko Barton winks Harrison Vaughan inngs marriappa hendry bradshaw to name afew.

19 Jun 2016 14:35:12
So u think aberdeen or hearts could have signed rossiter barton or by the looks of in kranjaer and mariappa no chance were looking good imo.

19 Jun 2016 14:57:44
Foderingham
Tavenier hill marriapa wallace
Barton
Rossiter krancaer
Waghorn ? Mackay

Still with likes of windass crooks halliday holt miller.
I think this team right here won't be far from top of league. if we can get few more additions then great but what we have right now won't be far off.

19 Jun 2016 15:27:05
Kranjcar and Barton are top players and no Scottish team apart from Rangers or Celtic could sign them.

Rossiter, Windass, Crooks, Hill and even Mariappa.

I wouldn't be surprised to have seen Aberdeen or Hearts sign that type of quality to be fair.

Aberdeen and Hearts have quite a bit of quality going forward especially that many of us would like to see at this club.

Even defensively Hearts have the likes of Patterson and Jordan McGhee.

19 Jun 2016 15:44:04
Not a chance Aberdeen or Hearts would have got near Rossiter!

20 Jun 2016 06:41:54
Hopefully we can get McGivern and he can become first choice.

19 Jun 2016 12:56:01
Seen a few places that we r in talks with James Vaughan who is now a free agent. Thoughts bears?

19 Jun 2016 13:52:42
Was quite good when younger, never managed to find a team that suited him but I would definite you give him a chance, had a lot of potential.

19 Jun 2016 13:56:17
I live in Midlands and watched Forest v Huddersfield a few years ago (think it was 2013) . Vaughan was excellent that day, ran forest ragged. He was quick, strong and had a good touch. I'm sure they played him up front on his own but with 2 wide men.

I don't think he scored that day but he stood out enough that I kept track of him and bet him to be 1st goal scorer in a few games and he went on a great run. I'm sure he was red carded 6-7 games into season and had a fall out with manager which was a shame as he was on fire. Having looked through his stats it looks like he hasn't featured regularly since.

Think it might be one of those that could pay off, Warburton seems to enjoy giving lost souls a chance. If Vaughan is fit and has the right attitude I think he would be a great no 9 in our set up. Big if tho!

19 Jun 2016 14:24:53
He's got a good touch and likes to get very involved like Miller and will battle all day would be a nice move gor both player and uz.

19 Jun 2016 11:44:58
Think it's quite obvious we'll be spending money in the transfer market this summer.

If we spent money to win the championship, which we did, we'll be spending money to win the premierhsip. No doubt.

Why does it have to be right now though. August the season starts and its barely the end of June.

Warburton said ideally he'd like to bring players is before a certain date. But that wasn't a certainty. Cash will be spent and spent wisely, sure of that.

19 Jun 2016 14:19:46
I don't know how u can say it's quite obvious when your basically guessing that's what will happen.

19 Jun 2016 16:32:03
Don't have to splash the cash on fees, we are doing fine the way we are going and remember the players we are bringing in wil cost in wages, signing fees etc .
Chill all will be fine.

19 Jun 2016 11:36:45
I'm beginning to worry about the lad "GLORYHIBS"!

It's been a while since he last mentioned anything about how many players we are bringing in and for how much?!

I hope you are alright buddy, stay strong.

19 Jun 2016 11:33:05
6 maybe even 7 positions out of the 11 that won us the Championship title in style and got us inches from the Scottish Cup could be replaced in the stating line up this season.

Understand Warburton will use the squad to its limits and a lot of players will get game due to rotation.

Can't remember a couple of games in a row where Andy Halliday or Jason Holt for instance put in a bad 90 mins. And Miller's performances speak for themselves also.

Know we need a bit more quality defensively. But it would be quite unbelievable to see someone like Keirnan keep his place but Halliday or Holt out of the first 11 on a regular basis. Turn up for the books that'd be, and it'll likely happen.

19 Jun 2016 13:54:10
Quite unbelievable - let's wait and see how the players perform in spl.

19 Jun 2016 15:20:12
its all about creating a challenge.
players will not want to sit on a bench for rangers and will up their game to stay in managers contentions.

looks like a decent squad being built by MW, no risks and mixture of youth and experience!

would rather do it this way than the 20 odd midfeilders and the endless dud strikers that the darkside go through. lol.

19 Jun 2016 10:52:44
The team Warburton rushed together for last season could walk past the majority of premier league clubs.
My only worry is, that we'll play out of this world, be cormftreable, and then go through a few dry, inconsistent spells like last season.
However, I'm genuinely shocked at the calibre of names being linked to us and just hope next season continues off from the last!

19 Jun 2016 10:18:30
First off I hope we get Marriappa. Decent player and surely we can get his name into that old Iyanapa song.

Second of all - if we get Bradshaw or Lafferty (slate me if you want) we surely have the makings of a team now - Midfield will be best in league IMO if we get Krakjar as seems to be the case?!? .

COME ON MWDW!

19 Jun 2016 10:37:36
I'm not sure of Lafferty being the type of player Warburton would implement. He'd totally take out the versatility of the wingers switching and changing during the game, therefore changing the playing style we've been striving to archive. It'd be the same with the majority of big, powerful strikers:)

19 Jun 2016 09:18:47
Last season we put together a team to win the championship and try and get a good cup run this season we r building a squad to compete in every cup league and try and get a place in Europe there's still lots of time to bring players In things r on the right direction about time.

19 Jun 2016 10:07:15
I agree Humey. A three phase plan;
1. Get promoted a go for the cup
2. Make a challenge for the title and get into Europe
3. Get the title and be the Rangers of old.

19 Jun 2016 08:54:07
We are after James Vaughan according to post on hitc. Younger than I thought he was at 27 but maybe not the most prolific striker in terms of goals.

19 Jun 2016 10:36:48
Hope not he's no better than what we have at the moment i think if we are getting a striker we need to wait till transfer window opens and pay a fee for a decent 1 instead of scratching ariund the free transfer market.

19 Jun 2016 11:10:59
How about our own young striker - Hardie? With Miller's tutelage surely he can come on this season and we have Waghorn too. Don't forget how many goals Wags scored last season until he was injured. Then there is O'Halloran, signed from St. Johnstone last season with lots of expectations. Isn't he a forward as well? I don't think we need to spend big money on a striker in my opinion. We've got the ammo in midfield with our new signings plus wee Barrie Mackay.
