i honestly think we should offer derek riordan a contract because he's a goal scorer and he`ll do it on the cheap say 2 grand a week then there's our defense this pandza wants like 8 grand well how about signing darren dods he`ll work for say 500 pound I mean if I was manager I would save rangers money, thanks for listening

41 goals last season speaks for its self, and along with Little, Daly, and McCulloch we have a few striking options.
If Miller returns that will limit appearances for both Little and Clark.

Im just going to come out and say that I would welcome Miller back. Reason being he would bring good experience to our very young squad. As long as he was on a wage similar to every one else, I think he would be usefull in the cup. He is still scoring goals in the MLS, which if we are being honest is probably a higher level than the Spl theese days. I know many of u will disagree but that's just my thoughts.

It's a shame because I'm really excited to see Gasparotto, Mitchell, Crawford, McLeod, McKay, Aird & Clark. Not that they would all be in my team at the same time.

Give the team a chance it's so much stronger than it was last year & I honestly believe Daly will be a great leader but Nicky Law will be a revelation. Nicky Clark got 41 goals last season at the same level we will be playing this year. I don't agree with bringing back Miller but we sold him at the wrong time as he was on the best scoring run of his career he was awesome with big Jelavic what was it 26 goals in half a season or something like that or am I making that up I'm not 100 %?

Miller was and is a great wee professional who done nothing but work hard and score for us.
Still think signing him is a backwards step but if the deal is right and cost effective then let's see what he can do. As long as he's not there keeping a young boy out the team the fine.

I'm a Celtic fan, and can't help thinking that the OP is too, but not the same ilk. I would never criticise Miller, if nothing else he will always give 100%, and I was gutted when he left us. Don't know if bringing him back is a great idea, agree with Baybear, but I would never slam him. As for the cheat comment, ridiculous.

J Have sellik fans as mates and when sellik let bhinm, go down south they were livid, see some people know nothing about football, Miller was bought by many good managers, for a reason he brings a team so many options and such tremendous workrate, we can't expect some bottom feeders to understand that, they live in a bowl, as for the guy who coul score 30 a season at Rangers, That my friend would put you on a par with ally mcoist, Derek Johnstone, Parlane, if you know who that is? and Jimmy Miller? who are you with now? New manager required as current is not up to the job in front of him, take nothing away from his work over past two years under trying times Ally was still hopeless but worked it well and his results say it all. Or can someone tell me any different?

Rangers reach agreement with Fran Sandaza to terminate contract.

Correct me if i'm wrong but I was under the impression it had already been terminated due to a breach of contract? Everyone was saying he didn't have a case. Wonder how much that just cost the club? We'll probably never find out the true figure.

Op if he take legal action there would be a cost to the club ie their legal team so make sense to pay him off and cheaper as well

A few years left on the contract so probably one years salary to satisfy his lawyers and agent.

A lot less than it would have cost had he seen out his contract. Good riddance, let's move on now.

Costs about £10k to fight in court, so its cheap to defend but, if lose then full £2mill could be due.

so deal has been made, that's 3 player left this season and we will pay for them for next 6 months.

OP who was saying he didn't have a case? His case was one most rock solid i've ever heard of. Sacked for saying on the phone that he'd be interested in going to a club that could pay him better? Come on, that's a joke. Do you think it'd be fair for you to get sacked for the same, don't e ridiculous. And @4 how do you know its 6 months compensation, could easily be much more than that. Astonishing stream of heads in sand in this post.

@5 rock solid case bs he was sacked for gross misconduct and it's illegal to be going after players that way and every football player knows it so sandaza knew what he was doing he quite clearly told the that they wer to contact him before they went to rangers so if that's not him trying to shaft rangers any player who in contracted to a club any team/agent need to contact the club not the player

@6 It would only be fair to dismiss in that situation if that is how the employer consistently treats its employees who do the same. It no doubt happens all the time, so sandaza got "special" treatment due to the "special" situation rangers were in. Agree not rock solid but he had a good case. That much is obvious or football would be littered with similar sackings.

@6 it probably does happen but we don't hear about it because I think most player wouldn't just start tellin any random that fones everything about his contract say you wer cg would just have been aw don't worry mate it was just a prank no you wouldn't cause after everybody heard it there was nothing else cg could have done he but to sack him

Fran sandaza has reached personal terms with club to tear up contract. That'll be a few bob then.
Walter S claiming a significant amount of money needs found and he doesn't know where it's coming from. (Is the club actually solvent? Or is it spending more than income?). Isn't there £22m from shares issue and £8m from season tickets? This statement from chairman of any company is very worrying.
WS is clearly uncomfortable as chairman and doesn't want to hold this job. He doesn't want to front up an AGM probably and field difficult questions regarding accounts.
Where are the signed off accounts Walter please? Your the chairman and taking the salary.

Let me give you a wee english lesson, when reading the paper and the words are in quotation marks then that's what was actually said by the person involved, everything else is written by the journalist and you seem to have made up your own words as well

Now what was actually said was

I think we all know we need further revenue and investment to move back to the top and that walter is not a hard headed businessman, he is there to stabilise the boardroom right now (and seems to be doing ok so far)

Where did Walter say this? He seems to be saying a lot of things and funnily enough no one can find these statements does he have some sort of secret blog?

Funny how Mather says one day the finances are ok & were living withing a budget then the next Walter says a significant amount of money needs found? I wouldn't love this to be true but I do wish Walter would come out & tell us where were at because I know we're not as well off as we're told. I might be wrong here but I can't find him saying this anywhere was it in the paper? Did he tell you personally or did u make it up?

I think that's more or less what the OP has stated. The club needs significant money going forward. Smith doesn't know how to raise it. It's actually the first time I've heard of a chairman being appointed of a Plc solely to stabilize a board. When there's so many other competences required such as raising finance. Is the board now stabilized? Can he move on and be replaced with a financial city whizz that has the network to raise money?

JG I appreciate that mate & I know K hill well bud, but honestly I only post my own views I don't listen to what comes out of Shammy, Green Jedhi and all of them. I guess I just never took to Charles Green at all mate and I really dislike that Stockbridge but I hope more than anyone that this board can prove the likes of myself & Bay Bear wrong I really do, like I said I don't always go on like that it's been building up in me since the start of last season. I was just scared we were going down the same road mate as last season we were siphoning a lot of money per month according to Charles. I didn't see how they done anything to remedy that so I got a little bit worried especially with all the fans wanting this player that player when the teams almost complete for the next season or 2 I wished they'd rather we had a bit more stability than 30+ 1st team players. The past few days I've relaxed a bit I just want to see those lads play now because at the end of the day that's what it's all about for me football not business & finances. It amazes me how differing interpretations can be. Walter said nothing of the sort in fact what he said fits nicely with what Craig Mather said ie we are living within our means at the moment and will need more money for the future. At no point did he intend to contradict CM or give the fans a scare story. People are nervous enough at the moment regarding Rangers future without their own fans hyping it up! Gbhoy.

I've half signed up for the RST il pledge my £10 during the week when I look a wee bit more into it & hopefully get in contact with them. You sold me the other night there the more of us that join them can only be for the greater good of the club as they are pretty well received within.
