That's Graham Dorrans been out for around 20 months appart from two substitute appearances at the start of the season and things are not looking good with him having another set back. Can only hope things get better for him but have my foubtsšŸ‡¬šŸ‡§.

19 Feb 2019 21:27:33
I'd get rid, no point in holding off and continually waiting in the hope he might improve the team. Rossiter mk2 with the amount of injuries. We can't financially afford all these players who contribute nothing.

20 Feb 2019 02:00:45
Hard to believe but I think Rossi ter might have had more minutes than him in that time!

20 Feb 2019 07:21:07
Sir Struth he got injured playing for us and has a contract.

20 Feb 2019 08:17:14
Does anyone know if Rossiter has been playing in Buryā€™s team, ?

20 Feb 2019 10:16:47
@Ulsterman - Rossiter has player 45 minutes, 83 minutes and the full match in his last 3 games.

20 Feb 2019 10:26:30
He's been playing last 2 games - Bury won both.

20 Feb 2019 11:25:54
He has played more minutes for bury in three games than us all season. One mom.

20 Feb 2019 14:05:37
He can't run very well because of the bubble wrap though :-)

20 Feb 2019 14:06:28
Fingers crossed for the lad even for sake of his own career, although I think he can make it at rangers next season if he stays fit now.

20 Feb 2019 20:51:19
Think playing and staying fit is long odds.

19 Feb 2019 19:52:48
Premier sports are supposed to be showing the game now.

19 Feb 2019 20:37:00
I think they are providing a delayed broadcast.

20 Feb 2019 01:30:23
I believe its a delayed broadcast at 10.05pm on FREESPORTS.

20 Feb 2019 07:57:27
Itā€™s better than nothing. Will just have to switch off phone.

20 Feb 2019 08:07:56
RTV got live commentary of the game as far as I can see as well as delayed transmission from either premier or freesports not sure which.

20 Feb 2019 11:26:52
Not sure why a delayed broadcast
Derby v Millwall live on sky tonight.

20 Feb 2019 12:16:35
Its because we are top division in an association mate. any clashes equal 50k fine and 10% of the revenue we get from europe i think. SFA can't afford to flout the rules.

19 Feb 2019 17:51:18
I was very impressed with Kamara in our last game, he looked like he had been playing for us for a while, very comfortable player who rarely gave it away. I hope SG can now find the right mix to get the best out of our squad. I expect a big reaction in the cup game, and with Alfie back a good win.

19 Feb 2019 19:19:02
is broadfoot banded for tomorrow night?

19 Feb 2019 20:38:37
Yes Broadfoot will miss the game. At least there will be less chance of one of our guys picking up a bad injury.

19 Feb 2019 11:56:07
I'm a huge SG supporter bar one thing and that is the length of time he takes to make subs 10 mins never enough time to impact a game
He will come good I'm sure of it if we do end up 2nd that's important in our rebuild processes as was our European run
Any loans that aren't working out we can get rid of šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§.

19 Feb 2019 10:38:44
Does anyone know if the replay is even going to be on the radio?

19 Feb 2019 11:37:59
BBCšŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§NOT.

19 Feb 2019 12:04:44
lol yeah. So has anyone every watched a game on periscope before? Think that is only way.

19 Feb 2019 10:14:17
Guys something I've noticed for a while now is that none of our players except alfie, Kent and Murphy when fit actually face an opponent up n take him on or pull him to the side to create space for others! It's literally as soon as an opponent closes our players down they just pass n hope. Soon as we're missing said three we're absolutely clueless as how to attack. this is football! Take your man on or at least face him up n make him run after you to create the openings for others to move into. Stevie g was right at the weekend, no leaders or players to inspire, feels like my team are a bunch of 5h1t3 bags. this needs addressed.

19 Feb 2019 11:26:51
Donā€™t even get me started on the lack of willingness to pull the trigger n actually shoot. Frustrating as hell. heres hoping a good transfer window with 3 or 4 quality (first team starters) signings n remove some dead wood we should be in a much better place for the start of next season.

19 Feb 2019 12:12:00
Bit that I don't understand is we are obviously so poor at taking chances from corners they why do we insist on going down the wings every time we attack just to supply the same poor balls into the box. I still feel our midfield is to defensive and we should have more runners running into the box as its obvious to defences we just want to take it down the wing and cross.
The type of football SG wants to play seems more suited to a 352 than a 451. It sometimes feels like the team is trying to play a defensive 433. Still think we need to up top we need a partner ship but I don't think Morelos works with Defoe.

19 Feb 2019 13:28:16
I don't see why morelos and defoe couldn't work together. Doesn't matter who plays up top if we can't get anything like decent service to them though. Our only strategy seems to be crossing and we don't get enough numbers or the right personnel in the box to take advantage of this.

19 Feb 2019 15:01:33
Having such a defensive midfield causes the lack of goal scoring opportunities. Our goal scoring abilities dried up after the Motherwell 7-1 thrashing. Kent is trying hard but needs a way into the box to supply strikers. I feel Kamara WILL be the answer to this problem but for christ sake someone have a pop at goal from more than 10 yards. šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§.

19 Feb 2019 16:06:04
Spot on buddyblue! Our manager was one of the best strikers of a ball from distance iv ever seen in my generation ( special mention to the hammer) , surely he's on at the players to have a dig.

19 Feb 2019 08:13:28
When we took on SG we knew we were getting a guy who is learning the trade. We knew there would be mistakes and refinement. But we also knew we were getting a big name and potential.

SG will come good but he needs our backing and our patience.

DOF however does need to be questioned. Davis, Defoe, Ejaria, Coulibaly, Grezda, Barisic, McAuley, Arfield, Worrall, Goldson, Sadiq. These signings all initiated by him have been woeful.

DOF was milking it a few months ago explaining his strategy and how we now sign players who have the mentality for playing with Rangers. Where is he now? He's gone very quiet.

19 Feb 2019 09:00:49
Davis and defoe will come good barasic goldson class acts ejaria was a good player young guy was homesick grezda hasn't had a chance as yet, Arfield has been good all year, coulibaly put in some great performances early in season and has had problems off the pitch and is only a loan so if we don't fancy him for next year then fair enough.
Worrall yes has made mistakes but also our problem has been scoring goals and finishing teams off big guy has had some stick this season some of it unjust.
That leaves McCauley and sadiq, McCauley was signed as back up stop gap and sadiq was sent back when he didn't perform.
So SG signings in my opinion aren't the problem.
Gerrard has a way to go regarding tactics and motivation but they are things a young manager has to figure out when stepping into a massive job like he has.

19 Feb 2019 12:09:38
wouldn't exactly call Goldson or Arfield woeful signings?

19 Feb 2019 12:47:25
Allybally, have a word with yourself pal. The fact that youā€™ve thrown Goldson into your list of duds shows you have no clue. Same goes for Arfield. Grezda and Barisic have had a tough time with injury and Davis and Defoe are just in the door. Ejarias heart wasnā€™t in it so thatā€™s not Allenā€™s fault. Worrall and Sadiq were signed on loan. You havenā€™t mentioned mcgregor? And neither have you mentioned the development in scouting and youth team structure thatā€™s leaps and bounds ahead of where it was.

19 Feb 2019 14:48:24
Grezda and barasic cost a combined 4mil and are no better than halliday and candieas in their respective positions. Defoe and davis were a huge gamble and they are so far off the pace that by the time they get upto speed it will be the end of the season, more so davis than defoe. Koulibaly worrall flanagan mcauley are not what we need. Goldson katic mcgregor arfield kent are the only players to improve us. Approx 50% of gerrards signings have been a success, that's not great. Just an honest assessmentšŸ‘.

19 Feb 2019 20:45:04
Coldo, i find myself agreeing with your posts most of the time mate but no manager ever gets a majority of signings right and the more you buy the harder it is to keep that ratio high. Seventeen players or something like that? near impossible for the majority to be outstanding (will accept a few are genuinely awful though, Sadiq here's looking at you)

20 Feb 2019 00:13:54
I agree snell to a certain extent mate, from a financial perspective we can't afford to be paying 2mil for players and getting it wrong. As we both agree a lot are awful and that is frustrating. I would however expect more than 50% to be producing the goods but sadly they are not. šŸ‘.

20 Feb 2019 16:52:46
HAHA Goldson, Arfield and Barasic all terrific signings.

19 Feb 2019 07:06:15
Reading all the comments it seems fans are split on SG and if we have made real progress which I get only 2 points better off than last season doesn't suggest much progress but the run in Europe was a big step forward sure we didn't maybe beat the cream of Europe but we still had some good results against decent opposition and we have managed a win in an old firm game. i can't recall a team that has beat us by more than a single goal in domestic football. Our biggest problems under SG at present are our ability to create and score goals and our discipline. I do believe Murphy and Dorrans have been missed and sadly Grezda hasn't yet provided what I believe Gerrard was hoping for. How many points has our discipline cost us this season I reckon probably 5 points and often more so in games that follow with suspension. For example everyone picks on Morales getting sent off and rightly so but lots have forgotten Arfields sending off against Hearts. I'm one of Arfields biggest fans and the games that followed where Arfield didn't play and was in a good run of form we dropped points Aberdeen home lose and draw against 10 man Dundee. We have missed Morelos when he has been suspended but when Arfield has missed out through injury or suspension we havdropped a lot of points. Hibs draw at home we drew away at Hibs he went off at half time we lost to Aberdeen and drew at Dundee when he was missing. Ok we have dropped points in other games when he has played but I think when fit and available he is an important player like Morelos.

I think SG has made mistakes but there is enough evidence to suggest progress. Next season is when he needs to be judged and we need to try and bring in 3 really good players that improve starting 11 rather than bringing in a vast number of players which we needed to do last year but has obviously meant SG hasn't had a settled team most of which has been through injury or suspension although not playing Katic more often and finding a settler back 4 has been a big failing.

20 Feb 2019 07:32:39
How come Stevie G is getting a free ride for our poor performances? Warburton said his first season in the Prem would be a rebuilding year but when results werenā€™t going that well people called for his head, yet the same happens with Stevie G everybody seems to be saying give him a chance heā€™ll come right. Thatā€™s a double standard and just because he was a good player doesnā€™t mean heā€™s going to be a good coach. The lack of penetration and scoring is reminiscent of the style of England when he was in midfield. Heā€™s starting to look like Morelos. never happy. Itā€™s not always the players it may be the style they are playing which is down to him.

19 Feb 2019 02:15:16
Reading all of the comments about Gerard and I finally thought I should have my 2 cents worth. I can appreciate the fact that he was a big gamble and can see where the board were trying to do when they appointed him, I never thought it was a good idea or ever going to work out, weā€™ve given the biggest transfer budget weā€™ve had in 6 or 7 years to a manager who has never properly managed, who has yet to prove any tactical awareness, who canā€™t seem to get his players to do as he asks. he said the other day we lacked leaders on the park, the way i see it is that comes from the very top, we lack leadership from the management down. If he canā€™t control Morelos and get him to stay on the park, if he canā€™t get his team to play the way he wants them to play, if he makes stupid decisions like playing Dafoe on his own when his whole career heā€™s been a striker that plays off someone up front with him, if he takes 80 minutes to make subs that we can clearly see need to be made as early as 40 mins into the game, if he makes the wrong selection, wrong formation choices, changes a winning team to accommodate 2 hasbeens that havenā€™t kicked a ball for months, if he canā€™t attract players that are actually hungry and filled with desire or players that are stars of the future ( the mhanks in last transfer window totally outplayed us) were signing loan players who clubs are trying to get off the wage bill, they sign players who clubs see have a big future and just want the experience of playing proper first team football before recalling them to play for the first team. exactly what is Stevie G bringing to the table? We are 2 points better off than this time last season. 2 points! We need a leader in the dressing room, a leader that talks and the team listen. a leader that makes changes to personal and formation when he sees something isnā€™t working, a leader that builds confidence and nurtures talent, not destroy it. Katic, Middleton, Barasic . the list goes on. What player has he improved? Halliday? Iā€™m not Hallidays biggest fan, but I think Halliday would run through brick walls just because he gets to pull on that famous blue shirt. I donā€™t know who the answer is, but I canā€™t see Gerard improving anytime soon, we are Rangers, since when were we a team to let a rookie manager cut his teeth in one of the most important parts of our history. Souness I know was a rookie, but he had Murrayā€™s millions to bank roll him and the English were banned from Europe so easy to persuade big English players here. butcher woods etc. sorry for the rant lads, just fed up with all this Stevie G being our saviour, tactically inept, out of his depth and Iā€™m so sick and tired of his platitudes. Maybe Iā€™ll be proven wrong in time, but 10 in a row and quadruple treble, 5 trebles in a row however many. we are not at the races and we wonā€™t be with a manager who canā€™t see the woods for the trees.

19 Feb 2019 06:09:14
Ok Trueblue2003, your most definitely entitled to your opinion mate. I'm from the other side of the fence regarding steven gerrard, as i truly think given another couple of transfer windows, we will under him, be a force to be reckoned with again! You do make some very good points and of course gerrard was going to make mistakes along the way. Its how he learns from them, that will define his tenure, as rangers manager. I firmly believe he's astute enough and clever enough to learn from them and become a very good rangers manager! The main problem as a supporter going to see rangers just now is, that he has to establish his best 11 and play them barring injury or drastic loss of form, week in week out! He's still searching for his best starting 11,as far as i'm concerned! Only my opinion but i 100% believe steven gerrard will get it right as our manager. Of course it was a gamble by our directors, to appoint a young coach with no previous managerial experience, but it will still be a masterstroke appointment IMO! It is a big rebuilding job and brick by brick, i think gerrard is the man to take us back to the top! I stand to be proven wrong, over time.

19 Feb 2019 07:22:22
Supercoop, I think we all know the best starting 11, the problem is the manager has a habit of not starting with it.

19 Feb 2019 07:36:14
In the 'old' days you used to play your best, in-form 11 players and had consistency. Yes, you need a squad to cover for injuries and suspensions but not to tinker with the team every game. If we had a run of playing:
McGregor; Tavernier, Goldson, Katic, Barisic; Jack, McCrorie, Arfield; Kent, Morelos, Defoe, we might achieve a run. We don't seem to be able to put a run together and tinkering with the team is the problem.

{Ed039's Note - Your ā€œin formā€ players include Defoe and no right midfielder?)

19 Feb 2019 08:05:35
Good catch Ed, should be Candieas for Defoe.

{Ed039's Note - no problem with anyone suggesting 442 but our best side doesnā€™t include defoe at the moment - quality player he is)

19 Feb 2019 08:37:16
Totally agree with Ed and bankie. We know the best 11 and for reasons best known to himself, gerrard fails to see it and likes to tinkeršŸ‘.

19 Feb 2019 11:37:31
The type of game we plaY AND WE ARE GOOD AT IS THE ONE LIKE THE cELTIC GAME.
uNFORTUANATELY FOR ME - THIS MEANS PLAYERS ARE BURNT OUT VERY QUICKLY IF WE HAVE 3 OR 4 GAMES IN QUICK SUCCESSION. SO WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO CHANGE / ROTATE, BUT IN SOME CASES THE CHANGES WE HAVE HAD RECENTLY HAVE ONLY UPSET THE RHYTHM OF THE TEAM and IN SOME CASES E. G. WORRELL FOR kATIC SEEMS ODD?

19 Feb 2019 13:16:42
Another typical post from the exclamation mark. Super truly thinks this, firmly believes that and even 100% believes the other. Given that his opinion is superior to everyone else's, no need to worry.

19 Feb 2019 14:25:19
He was 100% certain and truly believed that warbs and pedro would be the best there ever was, infact warbs was getting the england job if I remember correctly, prob just one of his hilarious wind ups thošŸ‘.

19 Feb 2019 00:19:15
We are where they were 22 years ago. That sunny Sunday when Gazza ate all the sheep and won 8 in a row. We are now trading places but we have to believe that better days lie ahead - they always do.

18 Feb 2019 22:34:34
All I'm going to say is this and its a FACT!

Since Ejaria has left we have STRUGGLED MASSIVELY.

He got absolutely slaughtered off a good majority of rangers fans.

His composure, vision, movement and ability to play passes that would split defenders allowing for us to flood the box with players is sorely missed.

If we had Ejaria I gaurentee the games we've drew and lost where teams just sit in and defend for 90mins we would have taken something from them.

If anyone disagrees with this then please explain why.

19 Feb 2019 00:26:51
Is this the same Ejaria who got 1 goal and 1 assist in 14 premiership games? He was rotten mate. Could do a few nice turns to hold onto the ball from time to time but did feck all with it after that. Most of gis passes went sideways or backwards.

19 Feb 2019 00:33:55
Are you for real?

We drew and lost games when he was in the team aswell!

1-1 at Dundee?
Semi final vs Sheep?

I could go on. He wasnā€™t the problem but he certainly isnā€™t the answer. Another transfer window should see us improve again.

19 Feb 2019 05:31:14
Wow.

He started ok, then his confidence was hit (liked the praise, couldn't handle fans on his back) .

From then it was receive the ball, turn, turn, side ways or backwards pass.

His head was down, and did not even want the ball towards the end of his time with us (deliberately) . And for me at this moment in time does not have what it takes to play at Ibrox.

19 Feb 2019 06:30:15
Bearmode, you said another transfer window should see us improve again, imo not if we have a repeat of January bringing in Davis. Need young players, this idea of bringing in "experienced" players doesn't work - senderos, Barton, kranjcar etc.

19 Feb 2019 10:59:25
Ejaria needs time on the ball - something he will never get in Scotland. Also too slight in build for the game up here - easily knocked off the ball.

19 Feb 2019 11:43:15
I think Kamara is a better player than Ejaria - and will do all the things you say above, but with one difference, he WILL dig in - he has experience of playing up here and knows what to expect and what is expected. He is one worth watching,

18 Feb 2019 22:28:41
Let's just get the heads down and win as many games as possible between now and the season end, and see where it takes us. We can't afford another sacking so early on in the Managers tenure. Don't buy into the hype about Celtic, they're nothing special, we just need to believe more.

19 Feb 2019 00:43:58
Irvger. Got to agree on all points. They are nothing special and very beatable. We're running out of games and can't afford more slip ups and it will probably be a bridge too far, but, you just never know. Football has thrown up many surprises. I recall them being very much in the driving seat with only a handful of games left when a 3-1 loss at home to Hibs (Peanut Heid scored for Hibs in that game btw) kick started our comeback and we snatched the title at Easter Road on the last day. Helicopter Sunday 2005. One of my all time favourite moments!

19 Feb 2019 13:26:43
Seeker, you are being unusually defeatist there. As you say, "They are nothing special and very beatable. " They will lose points, not just to us, but other teams. So why would it ". a bridge too far, ".?

19 Feb 2019 15:08:55
Styab. I didn't say they will lose points, etc, but thinking about it i believe they will. It's just a case of whether or not we will also drop points. Tbh i'm a bit frustrated as i know they are there for the taking!

19 Feb 2019 15:10:42
Styab. My bad! I didn't realise that you were saying this. Completely agree btwšŸ‘.
