The Kevin Kyle interview was more than interesting and revealing.

" Players in it only for the money. " We needed Paul Murray and ended up with anything but. I've been dead against the boycott but have to admit I get it. We can't sell the soul of the club. If it takes 10 years to get it back, so be it. Sadly.

I don't see KK's statement as a shock. Ally's appointment as manager was made for one reason and one reason only---- to get the fans onside. Nothing to do with building a team or tactical ability. Sign players and get a team on the park and ''they will come''. Win a few games, at any cost, and they[us] will follow in their thousands. ''We don't do walking away'' spouts the manager and Green merrily fills his pockets. Green done deals to suit his own end, so please explain to me why some fans feel ally is justified in making the most of the ludicrous contract he was given. On the other hand, Ashley provides a service for a deal that suited the club[Green] and as part of that deal the naming rights for Ibrox was included. Ashley is slated, albeit he did not utilise what was part of a contract and amcc is justified in going for everything he signed up for. Double standards I would say.

Do you actually believe that big lump a wid?So he reckons he was payed 100 grand for the handful of games he "played" in?Not only that, these riches he earned made him so disillusioned by the game he chucked it LOL.I suggest he was on a pay as you play deal of a grand a game,at most.Sour grapes comes to mind, that and the fact he needs money from the interview for Xmas.

This story crops up every few years, the players are only there for the money, more media spin, kick us when we are down why don't you, we will be back should be our wee saying, we will be back.

Mccoist staying for the 12 months, no promotion this year.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why, like many other businesses, couldn't Rangers' Board have put McCoist on 'gardening leave' whilst they negotiated a settlement with him? I left a well-paid job a few years ago due to 'political' reasons buy was put on gardening leave, on full pay, whilst a compromise agreement was reached. If they had done this with McCoist he wouldn't be in charge of the team in the interim.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

McCoist is now being used as a buffer. Without him all attention goes towards the board. Fans have to many avenues to vent their anger down. Removing McCoist only focuses more onto the board.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doiger, That is normal in business and, unfortunately, we do not do normal. We are in area that must feel strange to him----- '' tactics'', this is now a strategic battle for the high ground. Mcc should not be anywhere near the playing staff and I can only assume this season is 'history' as far as the board are concerned. The one thing in mcc's favour is that money is involved.
There are two extremely difficult situations on the horizon:- i] the a. g. m. and ii] the celtic game, and until these are overcome we're going nowhere.
I have been told that mcc will be with us until after the 1st. February, so read into that what you like.

N2. Yes ally still being at our club is to deflect the sh. te away from them, but ime looking forward to hearing what these robbers have to say for themselves come Monday.

If you put McCoist on gardening leave and emoy another manager at £250k then the combined cost is £1 mill. Where does the money come from? The problem is that in order to get Rangers back on their feet there has to be massive change in attitude and expectancy levels from the supporters. Maybe Rangers will spend 2 or 3 seasons in the Championship until the S**t is sorted out. There is no money. Boycotts mean that the paying fan base is maybe 20000. That can't cover the costs so you are talking about a major overhaul and that means cutbacks on players and players wages. So that is why McCoist is not on gardening leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why not 'promote Ally to 'Director of Public Relations' on a re-negotiated salary. God knows we need to make peace with the Press and Ally would be a natural with his contacts?

Agree0 Disagree0

Cut myself off in mid stream. Probably as well, as it is monotonous the one way anti-board crap, while one of the biggest bandits is our leg end.

Agree0 Disagree0

Billyb ally is never good enough to manage our club, but neither are the board to run our club, I hope if Ashley does have our clubs best interest he gets rid of anybody that never came with him. easdales somers the lot

Or is it just so the shareholders can be fobbed off with another 120 day review as he's not been in the post long enough to give the answers we all want? Coincidence??

Looks like Ashley thinks he is bigger than the SFA. He'll fit right in at ibrox.

Agree0 Disagree0

N4,, we are.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Dec 2014 09:04:09
N5. Who is we?

Expanding on my point. The SFA are clearly not fit for purpose. Ashley is completely ignoring the agreement he entered into with the SFA and they are doing nothing about it. Yes they will probably issue a fine but afterwards Ashley will be allowed do as he pleases. The SFA's inability to formulate an alternative plan to the save Rangers at all costs approach they have adopted over the past 3 years is further evidence of their ineptitude. They still believe that the game cannot survive without Rangers while the past 3 years have clearly shown us that is not true. Clubs are flourishing, clearing debts and getting supporters sign in.

Our approach should always have been to spend only what we earn and to live within our means and yet here we are selling our soul via loans from business men and relying on the footballing authorities to bend the rules and look the other way to ensure our survival.

Agree0 Disagree0

N6i should have said he is, as you say the people currently trying to ruin scotish football are making a can't of it, the job is to big for ex cricket people, regan threatened to withhold our licence, that denied it the next day, I wonder why the English f. a are trying to lour him away, I hope they succeed, these people are suppose to help clubs, what help have they givin to any club.

just a thought for us unhappy rangers fans.

Im losing my patience hearing the word boycott everytime we hear something we don't like or see happening at the club and the only ones suffering are the team as is seen by the current level of performance and position in the league

I just think its time that we got behind the team as unless we do we face no promotion and further pain.
Look at newcastle the fans don't enjoy the regime that's in charge but they overlook that and stay loyal to the team on the park that's an example I beleive we should follow

Ive been a cautious supporter of ashley and his involvement in rangers and still beleive that his involvement in the long term will benefit us

All I ask is put the team on the park, first for once and give them our full backing for the new year but not from the sofa but from being at the game shouting and cheering them back to form and contention to get us promoted

Put ally and the board to the side and focus on what matters THE TEAM!!!

GP

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - the Newcastle fans have organised boycotts too you know. Also numerous protests. It is only that the team suddenly hits form as they get momentum that they die out.}

GP, I agree with your thoughts on Ashley, cautious optimism about his involvement. Unfortunately, I refuse to watch the standard of football being played while mcc. is in charge. In fact, I would rather go shopping with the mrs. , and I rate that on a par with a visit to the dentist.

i think we have been putting the board and mccoist on the back foot far to long we have well and truly supported our team in previous years and been giving nothing in return what is there to be happy about at our club so action against the board and mccoist needs to happen and I see the report of hatley supposedly trying to talk to the players behind mccoist back now we no why he sitting next to easdales

Agree0 Disagree0

How can anyone make a case to watch that standard of football? The football is appalling. I understand about getting behind the team but why should we bother when it's the same one paced rubbish week in week out. Why watch the same players play badly knowing that no matter how bad they play they will be starting next game.

mike ashley is making the positive moves that the fans were shouting out for ,first of all remove graham wallace and the other guy I can't remember ,now the move to replace ally mc coist which to me a majority of fans wanted , M.A . has a game plan and that involves putting money into the club ,so please no more boycotts or we might cry wolf once to often and end up with NO club at all doug t.s.o

Agree0 Disagree0

Bigdimps ime not being cheeky here, but how do you know what mike Ashley has planned for our club, as there's been nought in the media, no word from nobody, have we to guess and hope we guess right about Ashley's plans, if he has plans.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Dec 2014 19:38:41
hi george M.A. is an ambitious guy with a track record for success and keeping his mouth shut , as my old ma would say never let the left foot know what the right foot is doing ,id my own hgv road haulage business for 39 years till I retired last year ,i had people wanting to buy into it as a partnership ,but success is better off in your own head rather than shared ,so there is no reason to share any his plans with the media or anyone for that matter ,its obvious to me he sees rangers as big potential to make him a lot of money ,but at the same time M.A will need to speculate to accumulate to which will be to rangers benefit doug t.s.o

Agree0 Disagree0

Bigdimps. Yes I agree with all you say at n6 mate, especially about letting us know the script, he must be smart enough to know that if wants the fans to back him he will need to let us in on his plans, he has me wondering why he won't declare his intentions, maybe he will be happy enough with his retail deal, without more involvment, I hope this is not the case, thus I think he should let the people, the people that will either scupper his plans, or back him to the hilt, he is a clever man but isn't acting like one imo

Agree0 Disagree0

Good on you big d, I'm with you and as we were both taught about your business dealings. --- '' Do the deal and live off it'', but most importantly, ''silence is golden. ''

Agree0 Disagree0

hi george and billy b I think M.A. will surprise us but at his own pace hoping to build up a trust between himself and the fans , he has the best opportunity to expand big time with gers if he invests money for decent players and a good manager to overtake celtic and spread his gospel in europe ,i also don't think he will let the spfl and sfa get in his way either ,as far as i'm concerned no rangers in scotland and scottish football is finished ,its balancing on the brink of a cliff right now doug t.s.o

Agree0 Disagree0

Billyb silence is golden when you are dealing with hundreds of people, not when you are dealing with hundreds of thousands, and with the media shooting us down at every farts end I think they should be put in there place, and give us something to look forward to, leaving us guessing is wrong imo
