Didn't realize cammy bell was injured till last night, now today only I saw that he has dislocated his hand/arm or something and is out for 3 months. Simonsen in goal for a while then, opinions? Personally feel bad for slagging ally for renewing his contrac, just as well to be honest!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We did not need siomsen young gallagher would have done ok as usual macoist blunders I see on tele he is supporting m ashley he has been in more camps than geronimo

Agree0 Disagree0

He is supporting fresh funds into the club, oh how dare he! Get a grip you stupid!

Agree0 Disagree0

@1

Agreed Gallagher was more than an able deputy and should have been given his chance

Agree0 Disagree0

Lexau macoist is only supporting ashley because he knows green would sack him and if u think ally is supporting the club its u that's stupid ally only supports ally first and all things rangers 2nd

mylesdonald. you should have slagged the clown, why did he not offer Craig Gordon a contract.

@6 previously on here u have given mccoist stick for signing players & spending money we don't have now u want him slagged for not signing Gordon who has still to prove his long term fitness after serious injury problems . really get a grip man & stop looking for excuses to slag him its becoming tedious .

Agree0 Disagree0

Wull61 What are you on about ally only supports ally first?? are you for real? The man is a Rangers legend he worked for nothing for nearly 5 months when we were in trouble and took a pay cut of 50% when he didn't need to so what are you on about mate? More nonsense from the ally haters

Agree0 Disagree0

@ rossw01 yes he's a club legend but ally only took a pay cut because his wage was published in the accounts so if this hadn't become public then I doubt it would have happened also how long was it before his wage was actually cut and as for working for nothing he's been more than rewarded for that

Agree0 Disagree0

Thebear82 the comment that Wull61 made was that mccoist puts himself first and rangers second do you actually seriously agree with that? The point I was making was if that was the case then he wouldn't have taken a pay cut of 50% and he wouldn't have worked for nothing for 5 months. Now i'm not arguing with the fact that he has been more than compensated for the things he has done. the point that i'm arguing about is that he doesn't put himself first he puts the club first

Agree0 Disagree0

@8

Ally has been more than compensated for his time as manager of Rangers. He also doesn't help himself with stupid comments about not reading his contract. Whatever u think he hasn't been worth the ridiculously high contract and even with the cut he isn't up to the job.

Agree0 Disagree0

@rossw01 I do agree with wull61 Ias I said he only took pay cut because it came out what he was getting but the biggest point fo me is he knows there's no more work for him when he leaves so half of something is better than half of nothing

Agree0 Disagree0

The pay cut is only being defered until we get to top league then its back to over a million a year counting his bonus money or over 800 thousand without bonus money good if ye can get it eh

Great result last night. No matter the opposition, 3rd goal was an all round World Cup special and there were a few crackers. MacLeod and Aird are jewels in the crown and it is exciting to have 2 special youthful exciting talents. All we need is a midfielder for the season ahead.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Against clyde? positive result but not looking too much into it given it was clyde! so it really does matter who the opponents are? "world cup special " against clyde. dearie me

Agree0 Disagree0

Excellent midfield performance but no disrespect to Clyde but we will face sterner opposition.
Yes Macleod and Aird are exciting prospects and along with Law and McCulloch has McCoist found his first choice midfield?

Agree0 Disagree0

Johns although the result was good ally needs to get the team playing from the defence as every time simonson kicked the ball up park one of the clyde team got to it everytime and if ally never noticed this he should be going to specksavers eh

Agree0 Disagree0

Johns

We need a right back too

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on Stewie, a RB should have been a priority signing, the reason Simonsen had to kick the ball upfield was because we have no natural RB who would pull wide to give him the option of a pass. A natural full-back will move to the touch-line a natural centre-back will move to the centre!simples! I actually dread some team playing an out and out left winger against us as our centre-half of Ally's choice playing RB will get torn a new one.

Agree0 Disagree0

Youngwinston your post does not make sense why not the keeper throw it to wallace the best left back in scotland imo he could pass it or move down the left side of the park our strongest part of the team

Agree0 Disagree0

Tmwtn, don't you think having a RB as well as Wallace would be a good option? IF we know that the strongest part of the team is the left, don't you think the opposition might just have a rough idea and close it down? which means as I said a Central Defender would'nt naturally go wide to receive a pass like a natural full-back which leaves the keeper with limited options, ergo the punt up the park!

Agree0 Disagree0

Youngwinston do you think other managers haven't noticed our strength is down the left of course they know it but your post about ball going out through the rb hold the same as why not play it out to the left back think about it

Agree0 Disagree0

Tmwtn, are you Ally? read the the post! the left side is covered! so we should just play the ball there anyway? why not have 3 options, left, right and centre? at the moment we only have left side or a punt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Youngwinston the left side is covered eh so how come most of our goals come through the left side of the field

Agree0 Disagree0

Youngwinston of course it would be better if we had a good rb but my point was we have got a good left back so if keeper should use the rb to start attack why not use the lb as we have a very good left back

Mccoist has got to play McLeod in the middle, any manager with a football brain could see he's wasted out on the right.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That was your first mistake we don't have a manager with a football brain

While small beer in the great scheme of things at Gers, two thoughts about last night's game. We are a better, quicker-moving side without the malevolent presence of Ian Black and the incompetence of Foster. Secondly, despite the mitigating factors, the woeful 11,000 attendance is an eloquent warning of just how much financial damage will ensure if there is not root and branch corporate cleansing and new football management. The gate at the Dumbarton game will be very instructive.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

S l b as far as attendance goes I would not read to much into it monday night live tv mediocre opposition and season books don't qualify not exactly stirring stuff

Agree0 Disagree0

@1

The pricing was all wrong for such a match. £17! Should have been £10 gets an adult and child into the game

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - Agreed on that one)

19 Aug 2014 09:18:56
Great result last night 8-1 is a cracking score even if it was only clyde we were playing. Aird looked great as did wallace and also macleod played really well defo one for the future (and for now) hopefully we can kick on now and start playing well. But to be fair we have played 4 competitive games so far and won 3 of them so not the worst start to the season. Hopefully people lay off mccoist a bit after last night as that was defo a step forward

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes I agree, am not going to say opposition is irrelevant but you can only beat what is in front of you and we went for the whole match for a change, the only thing overall I would say is as far as the Falkirk game goes I feel McCulloch should play at the back and not midfield, it seems like Moshni gets in just for the sake of it, that's what I reckon, he just walks back in so McCulloch just gets stuck into midfield and there is no thought behind it.

Credit's due where credit's due. Well done to McCoist and his team tonight.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

18 Aug 2014 21:59:23
much better tonight - far from the finished article but they turned up for once!! unlike the fans though, only 11, 190 quite pathetic even though it was the bottom competition, we NEED better support than this. There should have been at least twice as many than this to create an atmosphere.
I thought Faure told us who should be 1st choice for right back. Welcome back young man!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It was a very poor Clyde team so I wouldn't get too carried away about Faure. He will struggle in the championship against especially against a quick or physical player. As for the crowd was actually better than I thought it would be. To charge £17 against a 4th tier side on a Monday night when the game was on BBC Alba was madness.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stewie -i was merely making the point that Faure is the best of a bad lot for right back. As for the crowd, remember we were getting 45,000 + against bottom tier teams just 2 seasons ago. I realise a Monday night with it televised, albeit you couldn't understand the commentary, is not ideal, but c'mon 11000? pathetic.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wee bill

The pricing for the match was ridiculous. £17 for an adult ticket? Should have been £10 for an adult and child. Also the poor football being played and the stance by the UOF is clearly affecting the numbers. After all there were 43, 500 at the Hearts game pretty sure that was less than both our first home matches in the 3rd and 2nd division.

Agree0 Disagree0

Faure is certainly better than any of the other contenders

Agree0 Disagree0

Stewie- I certainly agree on the price problem but I don't think it would have made a lot of difference.
The fan groups are causing un-necessary grief, and we willl need to find funds from somewhere, other than ST sales, which have come to a staggering halt. We need to support the club, not divide and conquer.

Agree0 Disagree0

8-1 tonight. Can it be a negative-free zone for once tonight (including me!). McLeod man of the match and hat trick for Boyd. Only Clyde I know but a big win anyway. Also, negative stuff about Ashley maybe investing more in Rangers. Why not? The club needs money and I don't see Rangers fans in their masses writing cheques or signing up direct debits!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree about Ashley don't know why the so called UOF have to be so negative towards him. Don't see a lot of others rushing to put money into the club and DK seems to have disappeared completely.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doiger - only one wee moan, I thought we could have brought young Murdoch on when we were 5-0 up, to let us see what the young lad has got and give him a run out in the first team,

Just a few observations from the first half. the link up play between Boyd and Clark has been very good. the third goal was brilliant!also the team look hungry and the play has been stepped up a few gears. moshni still thinks he is World Cup wullie trying to ping 70 yard passes. looks a better player when he keeps it simple. and before everyone replys what a poor team Clyde are, I know. you can only beat what's in front of you. I would like to see Clark given a prolonged run in the team as he looks sharp. more of the same please!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree
I like young Clark needs a run in the team, Zalukas doesn't look fit, but on the whole better tonight mr mc Coisty but one swallow doesn't make a summer, keep it going Rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's probably as weak a team as we will face this season and in reality we have so far played poorly and struggled in the other 3 games this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2014 12:40:40
Glass always half empty stewie, that's 3 out of 4 when we haven't been great just think what we will do when it eventually clicks WE'LL SUPPORT U EVERMORE!
r.f

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't know what ally said to them after Friday but it's had an effect. totally different team without black and foster in the team. I would even go as far to say give faure a chance. looked slimmer than last season. moshni still a weak link. would get found out against a better team. but all in all a more energetic performance. passing also slicker and sharper. one swallow and all that rubbish but fingers crossed

Agree0 Disagree0

R. f

Sorry but I am a realist and it will take more than a 8-1 victory over Clyde to get excited. Remember we have been second best in all 3 previous games and we won't be coming up against such weak players as Clyde have.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stewie your right I would like to see clark get a run also faure but as far as moshni goes its got to be revolving door that let's u out but not in

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Aug 2014 22:13:28

First the UoF "order" fans to boycott season tickets - thus starving the Club of significant income and working capital.

Next, the UoF "demand" assurances from the Board that they will not use assets such as Ibrox or Murray Park as security to raise funding any shortfalls in income/ working capital.

Now the UoF are "threatening" the Board that they daren't take any investment in whatever shape or form from Mike Ashley.

Where do these band of renegades get off? The UoF does not speak for me and most certainly that mouthpiece Chris Graham does not represent my views nor for that matter any great, significant number of Rangers supporters. Who the hell does this self appointed mouth-piece think he is?

I am sick to death of him and this group telling the Board and us supporters what they / we can and cannot do - the very same board they are starving of much needed income and cash flow and as a result increasing the likelihood of Admin 2.

Now don't get me wrong, I am not a supporter of the current, board of so called Custodians but I do believe that Board is split and is toxic however - like him or not, Graham Wallace is trying to gradually win an incredibly complex power struggle against Easedales and their faceless backers. The appointment of Philip Nash may prove significant. time will tell! And that is why I am sympathetic to Wallace's efforts to try and keep this Club in business albeit with short term measures. He has to do something and that also includes him walking away. But for whatever reason Wallace seems intent to stay and try to drag this club through the other side.

The UoF are very good at telling both us supporters and the Board what we apparently can and cannot do. but in my opinion they are equally toxic as the Board. It is easy to say "no". I'd be far more impressed if the UoF actually told us what plan THEY have to address the problems facing the club.

Aah. forgive me. how stupid of me. That's right Chrissy boy wants our great would be saviour Dave King to come charging to the rescue. It's Dave's way or nobody's way for the UoF! Well you know what Chris Graham - why don't you tell us all what Dave boy is actually thinking. planning. suggesting.
because right now - and ever since your ill conceived ST boycott, his silence is deafening and unfortunately the b******s that comes out of your mouth every time you speak just forces me - and I believe other genuine supporters - further away from your "Cause" whatever that may actually be!

spot on

Agree0 Disagree0

Ticketyboo72 - very well put, I agree completely.
Until WE start looking at the bigger picture the better. The club desperately needs ST sales back up to the level we had in div 2 and div 1. Ashley's cash would be welcome by most genuine fans who recognise the need is of great urgency.

Agree0 Disagree0

Seen toxic jack with the easdale bros down at the docks is this the same toxic jack that doesn't work with the easdale bros any more of course it is the shipyard are in addmin I wonder if its duff and phelps that are handling this addmin lol
