Another great result for our young bears. They continue to shine.

18 Sep 2019 21:36:08
I'd encourage fellow fans to file a complaint through the ISPO website regarding the Daily Record behaviour towards Michael Mols regarding Fernando Ricksen's passing.

There is a section for "intrusion of grief or shock" which is obviously what the D.R. was trying to do.

18 Sep 2019 22:37:57
Already done mine Hendo mate, tried to mention similar below. We all need to do this, inexcusable from a rag of a paper.

18 Sep 2019 22:44:25
Am not finding this complaints board to report the dr. Can anybody give me advise. I ain't letting this go?! Thanks.

18 Sep 2019 23:17:28
What have I missed, what was in that rag?

18 Sep 2019 23:19:03
Sussed it. Report sent.

19 Sep 2019 07:45:12
@Stamford

Basically Michael Mols had just arrived in Scotland for the Rangers Feyenoord game. As soon as he stepped out of arrivals the Daily Record shoved a camera in his face and told him his best friend Fernando had died.
They then photographed his reaction and plastered it all over the internet.
Absolutely no compassion or sympathy shown, there intention was to get a reaction so they would get views online.

💙♥️💙Goodnight Fernando💙♥️💙.

18 Sep 2019 21:00:27
Fair play to Lennon, lovely tribute to Fernando✊🇬🇧.

18 Sep 2019 21:24:30
I was actually thinking the same, I loved the comments about Fernando being a competitor, that’s exactly what he was, a fantastic competitor who burst his tits for the jersey. Good night Fernando I’m glad your suffering is over and hope you rest in peace. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿.

19 Sep 2019 06:16:02
This sorted of devestating news should bring all decent thinking people to the same conclusion, to how said someone so young as fernando,
has been taken far too early, by this horrendous illness! Celtic manager neil lennon spoke glowingly about fernando ricksen and it was a very heartfelt, poignant post by him. So hats off to neil lennon for a lovely much appreciated post regarding fernando!

18 Sep 2019 20:48:19
RIP Fernando rest in peace you were a legend for. Rangers, and the best ambassador for MND yoi will always be in our hearts.

18 Sep 2019 16:44:39

Rest in Peace Fernando, a legend at our Club who will always be in our thoughts. Condolences to his Family and Friends.

18 Sep 2019 15:06:31
How low can can the daily record get, I will never view that rag again, playing with a mans emotions absolute classless.

18 Sep 2019 16:54:22
Disgusting behaviour! Absolutely disgusting! I don’t know who reported this or who took the picture but they should be sacked, Fernando and Michael Mols deserve better!

18 Sep 2019 17:01:36
40,000 protest outside the $hit hole rag would send a message tomorow nite!?

18 Sep 2019 18:41:24
Ipso the regulator have a complaint form. Just filled one in and would encourage all bears to do the same. Absolute scum.

18 Sep 2019 19:33:55
truebluesotrue, what did it say, mate? I refuse to buy it or click on it so I don't know (but I can guess) how they treated this.

18 Sep 2019 19:59:05
Very shocking. To do that to his friend is a disgrace. Don't buy papers but will fill in complaint form. These journalists seem to do what they want. Lawless rats.

18 Sep 2019 14:50:50
My first thoughts on the sad loss of Fernando Ricksen is that like Bill Struth and Sandy Jardine we immortalise his memory by naming stand after him. Hope not OTT just how I feel.

18 Sep 2019 15:18:17
Talk of Edminton house reopening. No brainer there. House number 2 Fernando.

18 Sep 2019 12:51:10

Forest and Celtic fan here guys. so sorry to hear the dreadful news about your ex player Fernando Ricksen . RIP.

18 Sep 2019 13:40:01
Guys, please accept my condolences. It’s really sad that someone as talented and strong should lose his life so early in this way. I might be from the other side but I’m saddened by this and I know a lot of my fellow tims are. I’m sure you’ll give him a send off that reflects what he meant to your club and to Scottish football.

18 Sep 2019 13:48:32

Celtic fan here, condolences to the Ricksen family and the Rangers family on the death of Fernando. We may be rivals on the pitch but in moments like this there is no rivalryjust shared grief at the sad loss of a young man and talented footballer. R. I. P.

18 Sep 2019 16:21:16
Class responses guys. Illness doesn’t have colours. Away from the banter and suchlike, that takes class to add your comments. Appreciated.

18 Sep 2019 18:07:26
The rivalry between our two clubs is one of the greatest in world football. Sometimes some of us take it too far but at times like this it’s worth remembering, it’s only a fkn game. Life is far more important and I’m not ashamed to say that looking at a picture of him with his daughter today, I cried. To deprive him of the chance to see her grow up is unimaginable cruelty, yet he kept a positive outlook. He must’ve had the heart of a lion and he has my upmost respect. I plan to take my daughter, who is also Celtic daft, to Ibrox to lay our tributes to the man. I want her to grow up respecting our rivals. I hope you don’t mind the odd Celtic scarf among the tributes as I know we appreciated the Rangers scarfs that were left in tributes to big Billy when he passed away.

18 Sep 2019 20:04:37
Heartbreaking day. Have a daughter same age and same name. Not ashamed to say shed afew tears.
But Ricksen would want reactions on the pitch and awareness made about the disease. You did The Rangers Family proud Fernando.

Tragic news RIP🔴⚪️🔵.

18 Sep 2019 11:45:13
Sad news. I posted this a few months ago but it was never put up, his Wikipedia page is fairly damaging to his reputation. It mainly focuses on his disciplinary and personal issues with little attention paid to his good times. Hopefully someone in the know can get this changed to a more favourable outlook. It reads as though it was written by someone with a grudge. He doesn't deserve that as his legacy. RIP.

18 Sep 2019 11:48:06
Sad sad news lads. hope he’s in peace now. football means nothing when things like this happen. god bless him and his family 💚💙.

18 Sep 2019 11:52:56

God bless you fernando and taken way too young. You fought this awful,
horrendous illness, right 'till the end. Your name will live on forever and will be passed on through the years, by all the glasgow rangers family that you belonged to! God bless fernando's family and friends and god help guide them through their grieving! Your suffering is over from this cruel illness and rest in peace fernando! A special gentleman and heart 💓 of a warrior!

18 Sep 2019 12:00:31

18 Sep 2019 13:00:53
RIP Fernando you were a true fighter until you could not fight anymore, Thanks for the memories 🇳🇱🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇦🇺.

18 Sep 2019 10:28:37
Another prime example of why our youngsters who are on the periphery of making it in our team is aiming too low by playing in the English League One or the English game yet again under estimating the quality of our game up here

Greg Docherty got player of the year for Shrewsbury and was one of the best players ripping up in League One on a loan spell yet finds himself not being able to break into our side yet again!

Now Jake Hastie is ripping it up for Rotherham and has been the best player on the park in some matches

Should we not be putting these boys out on loan in the Championship as I believe most would excel much better level and probably a level where most of the better players are at at the minute

Of course, it does require for Championship teams to be interested in the first place!

My opinion on those two players is that they are a standard above League One level Too early to assess whether that is the case for McCrorie but sure he will come good aswell

Thoughts guys?

18 Sep 2019 10:37:53
@kaz - you already hit the nail on the head. It takes a Championship level team to come in for them first. 👍.

18 Sep 2019 10:44:10
It’s a difficult one. I’d like to keep them tbh and try and play them as much as possible to grow a core group of players together, but at the moment just no space in the team. Think they could go to the championship just the same and do as good a job but without playing with our players in our system there’s no guarantee they’d be able to do it for us.

18 Sep 2019 20:52:44
jim, managers can't take chances. imagine we lost a game and a youngster caused the losing goal. these days they will only get game time when the game is already won.
