18 May 2016 22:46:35
watched the stanley game the other day and tonight and tht boy jack reeves seams a better player than windass.

19 May 2016 09:56:16
We should keep in mind he was playing his last game for them, his head might be in Glasgow or holiday mode lol.

18 May 2016 21:40:14
@ bongo I agree with you commanding centre half and striker required.

18 May 2016 19:59:40
Anyone else get the feeling that the names going around connected to the club, is to sell more season tickets?

18 May 2016 20:03:48
get a grip season tickets sales would have already been going well who ever we would have or been signing given the fact we have returned to the top league your either a negative supporter or a tim in disguise.

18 May 2016 20:05:01
1947 do you not trust the management team / directors, think that is a very harsh statement .

18 May 2016 20:11:30
Wouldn't think warbs would go all the way to New York to speak to a player just to sell season tickets.

18 May 2016 20:34:01
So, what if it is. Get out there and get your ticket. We are Glasgow Rangers, we are all part of the team. On and off the park.

18 May 2016 20:39:57
1974 what a silly billly you are, we don't need publicity to sell season books, highest attendencies ladt 3 seasons, and you think mw need to go out of his way to sell books phew, wtf.

18 May 2016 22:43:53
Wired to a Mars bar.

19 May 2016 10:12:15
1947 really stupid post just to let you know there's actually a waiting list for season tickets.

18 May 2016 19:57:09
Any1 else get the feeling these names going around connected to the club, is to boost season ticket sales?

18 May 2016 20:18:51
In a word "NO", diehard rangers fans buy their season tickets through thick and thin mate, simple as that.

18 May 2016 22:24:04
Bang on 15, we are stronger together and always have been . i couldn't care if sooty sweep and sue were our frontline i'd still buy mine.
Though i'd hope that theyd at least do the halftime entertainment lol.

18 May 2016 19:39:19
If you believe in all the players were going for well have more midfielders that the Unwashed. Need 2 defenders and at least 1 possibly 2 attackers!

18 May 2016 20:35:23
And a keeper.

19 May 2016 08:01:48
Hardly we don't even have a proper centre midfielder at the club. Windass and holt are more attacking midfielders, crooks is a centre back, halliday.

17 May 2016 20:55:03
I think barton good player also kranjcar but at there age is this what were really wanting. big wages with no sell on. i like tough tackling experienced mid but there too old for our quick team and yes kennys here but kenny runs his socks off his whole career. rossiter tough tackling that can spot a pass supposobly so do we need these guys. rossiter holt windass in mid could be good.

18 May 2016 19:37:22
I just think Barton is a class above they players at this moment in time. They could well go on to surpass him but I think this is a short term fix to add a bit of mettle.

18 May 2016 21:46:02
Davie.1980
What about Halliday, Rossiter, and Holt.

17 May 2016 20:04:06
Has anyone herd any news on madjid bougherra? would love him to come back

Also can someone tell MW Sone Aluko is out of contract in the summer.

18 May 2016 22:41:08
Would love bougerra and aluko back at ibrox.

18 May 2016 18:57:42
If we get rid of fat mike and SD i reckon we could name our price with potential kit manufactures and shirt sponsor as we will sell thousands.

18 May 2016 19:59:21
I just hope we get rid of puma soon there kits are rubbish. loved our old umbro kits.

18 May 2016 20:23:20
I would love us to go back to either nike or adidas as our new kit manufacturers, these 2 are without doubt the best kit manufacturers in the business.

18 May 2016 18:44:02
I see the classless fat cockney spiv has tried his best to have a go at the club with his latest football kit advertising promo, Well i hope we rid ourselves of this parasite. Any fan who buys any sports kit from one of his outlets should be ashamed, the guy who had zero hour contracts and sweat shop employees. The man is vile on an industrial scale. I would rather be sponsored by a chip shop than him. Charles Green and his cohorts should hang their collective heads in shame, they all raped and pillaged from our great club.

18 May 2016 19:15:24
That celtic advert has been on sports direct website since last wkd. Daily record article about Ashley trolling us is misleading as they seem to insinuate that he put it on the website after we cancelled contracts.

18 May 2016 19:37:11
The amounts people getting upset about the Celtic advert is simply stupid, if he's doing this then he's not selling Rangers gear rise above this were better than that jumble sale direct don't deserve the attention it's getting!

18 May 2016 18:14:36
Hope we get Barton and Kranjcar for the upcoming season but we need a CB and Cover for the wing back areas too. Any news on defender's.

18 May 2016 17:38:01
Great to see king sticking it to Ashley however I don't know where that leaves us with being able to sell merchandise until the contract has been terminated in full.

I'd be happy if we brought out some sort of academy kit with no crest, if that was a way around the deal. Even if all the proceeds have to go thru the youth development company at least the proceeds would go to the club and out academy would have a massive cash injection.

18 May 2016 17:55:17
Camoo if we brought out a top without the rfc logo anybody / company could do the same, after all it would just be a plain top.

18 May 2016 18:38:02
maybe play a season in the RST shirts?

18 May 2016 18:53:37
The situation is that Rangers CAN use the logo and crests. It is Sports Direct and tge Rangers Retail Ltd who can't. Rangers win win!

18 May 2016 18:54:37
Sure the Rangers Trust had tops out last year, positive they'll do them again this season.

18 May 2016 18:59:07
Sure the Rangers Trust sold tops last season that didn't have proper badge and they were nice.

18 May 2016 19:00:57
big john the point i was trying to make was a way for the club to generate cash from shirt sales etc. if you seen a top being sold by rangers and knew they would get profits from selling it you would buy it from rangers rather than somewhere else. i know most fans are desparate to buy merch but wont.

rst shirts would be a good idea, if the profits were shared at least rst would buy more fan shares with the money so win win.

18 May 2016 20:26:15
Camoo rangers get a profit from selling the shirts, its just enough profit in re gthe lrofit ashley makes, i said on here a day or two ago i won't be uying a top until we are rid of ashley completly, and my word is my bond mate, i stand by it.

19 May 2016 02:39:36
Bigjoh85 Rangers get 4 pence every pound from the store so if a tops what 45 we get £1.80p while prick ashley gets £43.20 hardly a ****in profit pal its a joke of a deal and the sooner these persons get found out the better.

19 May 2016 11:34:49
Brogie82 the word not was missing from my post, not enough profit, hope I've cleared that up for you mate.

18 May 2016 17:22:46
Quite new to the site lads and a first post for me which is not rumour related but a question to fellow bears.

Since the new board has taken over and all the signs indicate we are moving forward nicely financially, has anyone heard of any possible improvements that are scheduled for Ibrox? There must be potential to increase our capacity and I know this is not number one priority currently but do you think this is something on the boards agenda? How could we modify the stadium in its current form to increase capacity?

Cheers.

18 May 2016 17:40:35
We could drop the pitch, move the jumbo screens or full in the corners but i'd rather focus on the football for the next couple seasons.

18 May 2016 19:15:41
David Murray stated some years ago that the construction of the stadium was carried out in order to facilitate the possibility of a further tier on top.

18 May 2016 17:10:24
So will the shop have to temporarily close a they have no right to sell merchandise with the badge? Can only be a good thing if it does.

18 May 2016 17:58:11
Albertz rangers fc own the mottif so why would they shut the the shops.

18 May 2016 18:18:16
Because the shop still has a contract with sports direct, they just can't sell anything with the logo.

18 May 2016 18:23:22
Just re-read the story on bbc. "It will make it impossible for rangers retail to sell any trade marked merchandise" so why keep the shop open if you can't sell any official merchandise.

18 May 2016 18:44:19
Albertz i seen that as well, but surely if we have terminated the retail contract it would be ashleys shops that are in breach of selling merchandice he no longer has rights to, I've also seen we could get another retail co to make the strip with our logo, as in regards new shirts with no badge, they could be bought at premark for a nicker. lol.

18 May 2016 19:33:14
From what I understand the contract is still in place, they are just not allowed to sell our logos so it's basically a useless contract.

18 May 2016 16:01:09
When we've said immediate effect they weren't kidding, sports direct stuff stripped from the shop at Ibrox and the website too.

One thing after another appears to being going our way, i'd hate to speak too soon though.

18 May 2016 16:56:45
Thats my thinking mate, it would be unbelievable if it was this easy, must of been some anger rippin they signs down if they need any more to come down we could have a party with 50000 at ibrox ripping them down, don't want to raise my hopes too much but they must somehow know something we don't if there taking them down now we need an announcement if we can start buying the tops again, now that'll be a party.

18 May 2016 17:18:59
King and board have weighted for the right moment to strike, these are clever people on the board. rangers would also have consulted there legal team on this. mike appears to be between a rock and a hard place. this should make for intresting reading.

18 May 2016 17:24:17
I take it that all advertisement from stadium will be getting removed also. Things are looking promising, the board must have a water tight case, will be interesting to see how this pans out!

18 May 2016 18:09:56
Not the type to get too far ahead but we've moved fast. I'd like to think we'd have a few guys in the know before making such a public statement like this.

18 May 2016 18:55:09
Think kings been very clever here, as the rules for championship clubs state that championship clubs can't control any financial affairs of any other club. The maximum penalty is expulsion from the football league. So here, Ashley must make legal proceedings against the club, admitting then that he is in control of rangers merchandising, or he doesn't take legal proceedings.

18 May 2016 15:32:21
Nathan Oduwa rejecting new contact at Spurs and wants to move away from England. I would definitely take him as he's young and full of talent. Hope Warbs makes this happen.

18 May 2016 17:20:49
He is potential, but sometimes flattered to deceive, but am sure MW could work his magic with him!

18 May 2016 17:36:33
I'd take him back for free, defo had potential.

18 May 2016 16:59:33
GersB: No, for me he didn't impress enough, he didn't beat players and get to the line enough, he often took too long on the ball.

18 May 2016 19:40:43
joscro I actually agree with what you said but there is a player somewhere in there and I think with a bit of work MW could bring it out.

18 May 2016 14:21:53
Basically, due Newcastle going to the championship we are going to use this to our full advantage and challenge Ashley. if Ashley bites the bullet then he'd be in blatant breach of Championship rules over commercial interests. this is what I've read else where and it seems very reasonable for it to be the answer.

18 May 2016 16:36:01
Sports direct removed from official club site - what a happy day!

18 May 2016 13:55:46
Have been thinking about next season and what the attendances will be like at all the other grounds when the only show in town rolls in. Guess it will only serve to prove the point that when all these supporters come out from wherever they have been hiding these past four years and refill their grounds, that we are indeed, THE only show in town!

18 May 2016 14:42:54
When all the SPFL clubs voted us down they said it was because their fans would not come and support the team if we never got voted down. How ironic that it takes us coming back to revive any interest in the game up here, and we will no doubt increase the overall attendance for every team.
The funny thing is if they had to vote again, even Hibs and Dundee Utd, they would still do it. That is the sad state of Scottish Football. Bitterness and Jealousy rule over common sense every time. Can't help but always think of the Borussia Dortmand case when they nearly went bust and their great rivals Bayern loaned them £1m to keep the lights on. Would still love to leave the sorry mess that is Scottish Football behind one day for pastures new.
There was actually an article in the media the other day that was headlined 'Why we need to keep Rangers from having a seat at the big table". If it wasn't for us there wouldn't even be any Football news in Scotland, just simply "a crap Celtic team wins league again". How interesting.

18 May 2016 15:55:01
What paper was that article in recob?

18 May 2016 16:10:12
@ PieandBoveril are these the same fans who said kick rangers out and we will support yous in are thousands maybe club chairman ain't that smart and will believe anything.

18 May 2016 17:01:22
A think it was the Record coop, the guy was basically saying Anne Budge should be on the SPFL board before our guy when the voting gets done to replace Thompson, as she represents a better view on the game than we do. Nothing against her as such, but in all honesty who outside of Midlothian really cares about Hearts. No one. Over 100m tuned into last Old Firm game, we deserve a seat on any table regarding Scottish Football as without us it's been nothing short of a laughing stock.
Can't wait to put all these wee diddy teams (Celtic included) back in their place, they've had their fun laughing at us the last few years, now let normal play resume. 55 will be the sweetest.

18 May 2016 17:34:12
The very same big bob.
What they are beggining to and should have realised is, there AIN'T no show without The Bears.

18 May 2016 18:04:21
Reboc i remember reading years ago about ùs lending plsyers to celtic in order for them to compete against us, without those players celtic would have went to the wall, away back at there begining. honestly.

18 May 2016 19:43:00
Crazy to think of that happening now eh bigjoh? Most big rivalries in Football do feed off each other. They just hate to admit it.

18 May 2016 20:32:21
Recbob aye mate changed days indeed, i will need to get my son to change my name it is bigjohn but he missed the N at the end, and ime quite hopeless at this reg/ log in stuff lol.

18 May 2016 13:22:18
Forgot Rossiter Lol, He'll Be In Starting Line Up Aswell I Would Imagine.

18 May 2016 13:20:26
Possible line up next season

Foderinghan

Wallace
Kiernan
Crooks
Tavernier

Barton
Stewart
Windass

Mackay
Kranjcar
Forrester

Subs:

Miller
Waghorn
Holt
Halliday
Wilson.

18 May 2016 14:39:30
that a poor effort for a team mate

defence yes agree but the rest? windass and stewart? doubt it and krank up top what u smoking man get real.

18 May 2016 14:54:55
Also no mention of another keeper on the bench.

18 May 2016 15:14:55
I can see crooks sitting in front of a back 4 of tav Wallace
kiernan and Wilson especially in big games
don't see stewart coming in plus I think we have difficulty
selling Scotland to kranjcar also are not going to have a back up goalie on the bench.

18 May 2016 15:22:00
so you think we signed Rossiter not even to be on subs bench, and no place for our top goalscorer!

18 May 2016 15:45:16
Agree with M3LV0. From what we definitely have at the moment I would say:

Foderingham/ His replacement

Tavernier
Kiernan
Wilson/ Replacement
Wallace

Crooks
Rossiter
Holt

Forrester
Waghorn
McKay

Subs:
Kelly/ Fod (Depending if we sign a keeper)
Halliday
Windass
Miller
Wilson (Depending if we sign a CB)

If we sign Barton I would put him in Crooks position and Crooks in Wilsons. No idea where Warbs plans to implement Crooks. I also imagine we are still to sign a CF in which case I would put Waggy out right in place of Forrester. As benches go though, that would be a pretty good one!

18 May 2016 15:56:28
Holt, Halliday, Waghorn on the bench, for me they would be in my stating eleven plus will we even sign Barton and kranjcar.

18 May 2016 16:04:25
That was only a quick effort pal, and i honestly thought Kranjcar was a foward, awell i was wrong, but if we sign Barton and Stewart i personally think the team will look something like that, and no goalkeeper on bench that's because Bell won't be on bench, we will get a new keeper i'm sure.

18 May 2016 17:08:05
I know he's hardly set the place alight since he joined but what about O Hall? Surely worth a place on the bench at least lads.

18 May 2016 14:34:55
WhatAteam. Great name for a team with no striker in it. Is Craig levien our new manager LOL.

18 May 2016 12:36:14
what do u guys think about rangers has today served notice on rangers retail ltd terminating the ip liscence and rights agreement with immediate effect? does that mean that we could all stop the boycott and actually start buying our teams football stips again I hope this pans out to be the end of the shitty deal we have had forced upon us!

18 May 2016 14:41:27
sounds like this is going to be another big court case. they calling MA bluff, does he really want his contracts scrutinised by the courts and by championship down south, he stuck in a rock and a hard place now, I cannot see how he will get out of this one, I think this will be a means to an end for MA being in control of us to a certain extent, Dave King take a bow!

18 May 2016 14:58:13
Fat boy might be able to get his contract terms hidden from the support but I doubt he can when the football league ask about them. Surely the terms clearly breach their rules and therefor if they are doing their job correctly will stop him from enforcing them on the club.

18 May 2016 15:17:06
Ashley will be gutted if he looses our retail contract
as the bears will be back buying strips and other merchandiise.

18 May 2016 15:21:42
Under the terms of the league rules, he cannot challenge Rangers or it'd prove his interest was more than an investment. Got him by the proverbial.

18 May 2016 15:59:07
Sounds like retail and licensing rights may be two separate contracts.
MA might have to sell strips without our name and logo on them, . Haud me back.

18 May 2016 14:10:54
Still got 7 years to run. We've only served notice.

18 May 2016 20:34:43
Tam burns terminate with imeediate efect means as of right now, auite self explanitery mate.

18 May 2016 12:35:09
only 12 months ago we were in real trouble on and off the pitch, how things have changed the board have steered our club in the right direction but i could not imagine how well this season has gone. like them or loath them our board have been exellent, people say splsh the cash but if we can get a great young team that has not cost a fortune that is better business. i trust warbs and his staff will allways be looking for the best deal and make us stronger . watch out prem rangers are rolling into town.

18 May 2016 14:48:35
well said sir took the words out ma mouth lol.

18 May 2016 14:50:37
Totally agree Damo, after the Colin Nish we've been through the last few years this year has been fantastic. I can't remember being happier than this with how things are being run at the Club. Feels like we've got all the right people in the right places and now the team is really starting to take shape for next year. Wee Cup win at the weekend will secure Europa league next year and let's face it that's where Celtic will be as well I'm sure. Would be good to outlast them in Europe and win the league first time of asking, let them know the big boys are back.

18 May 2016 11:48:33
Regarding players possibly wanting bigger wages if we have a good season, surely the lads at the club know were rebuilding and won't ask for sums that are ridiculous. I think that King will have a sum in mind regarding the nxt seasons wages bonuses etc if we have a decent Euro run and winning the Lge which I'm starting to get more confident about. Really hoping we win this cup and get into the Europe Lge, was reading that the minimum we could earn just to be in a group and if we didn't get any wins would be around 8million, this includes tv and gate money! Didn't think it was as much.

18 May 2016 13:18:54
Spoke to good source at the POTY and they said we have 4 million to spend as it is and that included wages. Wee bit more if we go into europe.

Stands us in good stead and i think its fair to assume players are looking to Saturday as an factor on their decision making.

18 May 2016 11:08:49
I was talking to a celtic supporting friend last night regarding joey Barton and krancjar, he had a wee laugh and claimed we hadn't learned from over spending in the past.

My argument was that with a £100 increase in ST prices which will potentially be £4 million in extra funds plus the extra TV and sponsor money (minimal) , potentially European football and getting high earners of the wage bill and replacing them with the likes of crooks and windass who will be on smaller wages it's surely a no brained.

I know the retail contract is shocking which makes a huge difference to our revenue compared to celtic but as it stands our highest earner (as far as I'm aware) is Wallace who is on 12k a week and he's the only player on 10k plus at the club whereas celtic have brown on 30k a week and at least a handful on more than 20k a week.

My point is that in my opinion we are going down the right track, we can have a couple of high earners (Barton and krancjar) on approximately 15k a week to give us much needed experience along with our good young players on much smaller wages. The only problem being if we have a good season next season next season these young players will be looking for big salaries which could mean it's harder for us to keep hold of them?

18 May 2016 11:38:12
It's hardly overspending I doubt either would be near celtics high earner and our squad is less than half the size of theirs.

18 May 2016 11:40:00
Stuartac unless those youngsters are like big lee wallace, some players look sat life diffrently, ie go and make big money elsewhere or stay put known they will earn loadsof money ie pundit/ coach/ manager, books ect, instead of going back on building sites, ime sure in big lees case he will do fine in life as opposed to joe blogs, so maybe the yojnger player will look at lee as aan example of the iffs or iff nnots.

18 May 2016 14:50:56
Selik fans will just say anything to put us down.

Bottom line is we will only spend what we have available from the board. We can't get credit line from the bank, therefore we will never overspend,

the board giving out money that we can repay as part of our on going business plan of living within our means, other than that money might be give from DK from his own pocket but that not likely lol!

Here we go 55 in the bag lol!

18 May 2016 15:20:57
is the idea to bring young players on is so that we can
sell on in the future to bring in more revenue so bigger salaries would not be an issue.

18 May 2016 16:07:12
Some good replies lads, totally agree with most. M3LV0 that's a good point regarding a credit line from the bank. Wish I had added that to my debate last night haha.

Lee Wallace is a great example of sitting in and biding your time. He's now destined for legend status at our club but had he left 4 gears ago he may well be sitting now on similar money at a below average championship club completely forgotten about.

18 May 2016 10:54:42
I think the only players I've heard of so far that any possible move could be done for are
Barton, kranjcer, canos, cummings and dorrans.
Yet to see any other names that I think could be turned true.

18 May 2016 11:38:41
Pritchard.

18 May 2016 10:38:38
I've seen this argument a few times now regarding sky and the money distributed out to Scotland.

the SPFL currently has a £15mil a season deal with BT Sports and Sky sports. this shows 30 games a season. The Eredivisie however receives reportedly £60mil per season, however shows roughly 3-4 games per week. Personally I believe the Eredivisie is far more interesting than the SPFL, I'd much rather watch ANY Eredivisie match than a Ross county vs Hamilton or a hearts vs St Johnstone match. To be honest I'd rather watch ANY Eredivisie match than any Celtic Match (Obviously not including Old Firm Matches)

Basically my point is, you can see why we only get £15mil a season, we have to be polite pish football. we aren't attractive at all, maybe once the current deal is up and the old firm is a regular thing it might hike up a bit, but for the time being I'd take the £15mil and be happy about it. do we want to get greedy again and end up with a £3mil a season deal with Setanta again?

18 May 2016 11:08:39
Imo as soon as we get any decent players or any team gets a decent squad it is ripped apart by trams from other leagues who can pay more £££s. Dundee United is a classic example, or Hamilton a few years ago, and as long as this keeps happening there just won't be any real competition in Scotland.

18 May 2016 11:20:01
Scottish league is far to stale playing each other 4 times is boring . too many teams fear the drop to take the risk of playing youth i think its time we increased the league to 16 or 18 play each other twice, keep play offs and take europa league place away from scot cup giving it to league place hence more competition for european places . its time teams like aberdeen ect stopped thinking of the blue and green pound and started looking at what's best for our game.

18 May 2016 11:27:05
Albertz, that is true. although you could put the blame on fans. fans don't show up in their numbers. gone are the days where you'd go to your local football ground purely to take in a game. TV money alone won't change anything. also are we entitled to anymore money? I read that Scotland only has 645,000 Subscribers to sky sports, which if you go on current costs would be £17,875,000 income from Scotland, which the SPFL receives £15mil of that.

18 May 2016 11:32:15
bigtrfc, I disagree with the Scottish cup bit, however I agree with the rest. a 16 team league needs to be done. 2 being relegated 2 coming up. no playoffs, not until we have a larger Championship league as well. this could promote more TV coverage.

On the Scottish Cup situation there needs to be a European carrot dangling at the end of the stick, if it was removed so would the idea of winning the cup, few teams would care about it if that were to happen.

18 May 2016 11:39:22
It should have been made into a bigger league years ago!

18 May 2016 11:59:07
16 teams 2 up 2 down a playoff and a winter break would help if Scottish football is to move forward. It can't stay the way it is as it has been poor for a while . the league is sponsored by a bookie, the men at the top are not doing the job properly and we should celebrate deals that are not putting money into Scottish football. Scotland needs a radical change from top to bottom we need all our best teams in the prem 16 teams with us Falkirk Raith and hibs it brings something different . I know people will say Dundee u and other teams should suffer relegation but I don't care we are back and it's about us now. with Warburton at the helm we are in for some really exciting times ahead.

18 May 2016 13:33:00
The play offs should be like England's imo. Bottom two in spl straight down.

18 May 2016 14:22:49
I totally agree lads but there is one problem with that is the tv deals would be cut as they only pay that much because of 4 guaranteed old firm matches like onlyshowaround said nobody want to watch st Mirren v Hamilton in know it will never happen but I wish the atlantic league thing that murray tried to stet up years ago would happen because English german and spannish football are killing the rest of the wee leagues.

18 May 2016 14:50:51
James it could do 2 things, make things better or make things worse, what it would do is make the old firm even more attractive. 2 games a year that could win or lose you the league. it genuinely could work.

18 May 2016 13:23:39
the problem with the sky money is the fact with the exception of rangers, celtic and aberdeen, the greed of the rest took setantas money then were left high and dry when they went skint when sky came back it was for a pittance had we stuck with sky we would be on a far better deal today but that's what happens when the inmates run the asylum.

18 May 2016 08:59:21
just wondering what some of your thoughts are on who u would like as a new gk/ cb/ st and why? sensible players.

18 May 2016 09:32:38
Noticed adam le fondre is out of contract end of june i reckon he would be worth a punt the guy has scored goals everywhere he's been and would score plenty up here with chances we make each game.

18 May 2016 10:00:05
Le Fondre is a good shout bigrfc what age is he now? Late 20's maybe 30?

There are a few good out of contract players (there was last I checked) I'd take a punt on James Morrison if he is still out of contract and maybe Julian Speroni to challenge Wes for the GK spot.

Also does anyone know if the young lad Rolando Aarons has agreed a new contract at Newcastle? The kid has bags of pace and would certainly be a useful and youthful addition similar to Rossiter.

18 May 2016 10:16:57
realistically, I'd want a young keeper from down south. Daniel Bentley being the main target for me.

at CB I'd probably say a championship player Maybe Tommy Smith? good age and decent experience.

ST, there is quite a few you could go for, unfortunately the ones we would like to sign are under contract for 2-3 more years with their teams. I'd suggest that we wait and see what midfielders come in before we talk about strikers as I have the feeling young Windass may be used as a Centre Forward and we'd play a 4-3-3 with a Centre Forward rather than an out and out striker. More of a false 9 formation.

18 May 2016 10:35:15
Onlyshowaround I agree Bentley would be a great signing I also agree that windass could be used as a cf there is strong rumours on RM and FF people who allegedly no Cummings who say he will join after the final for 600 k I no he seems to have an attitude but at only 20 I think that could be sorted under mw and the way we play I think he would score for fun.

18 May 2016 08:13:40
I hear Neil Alexander is leaving Hearts at end of the season, I personally think he's more reliable than Cammy Bell and could be a decent number 2 for us next year on more than affordable wages.
I know he's 38 which is fine for a GK, he never let Hearts down in Championship or SPFL and done very well with Rangers in the past with numerous clean sheets on Europa league run. His experience could help Wes improve.

18 May 2016 08:49:38
I would take him back but I don't think he would after the way he was treated.

18 May 2016 12:05:03
Cammy bell is a good keeper. Everyone has been slating the guy.

18 May 2016 14:43:28
thinking to all the rangers keepers we have had we need to get back to having guys like McGregor, klos, waterous and dare I say it goram rangers have always had a great goal keeper as long as I can remember and cammy bell is getting paid too much to be a good second choice goalie.

18 May 2016 08:08:47
Neil alexander leaving hearts maybe worth getting him back for reserve keeper?

18 May 2016 07:14:10
away from the transfer mayhem i`m not totally convinced how we will play against hibs`some of our recent performances have left a lot to be desired`i hope i`m wrong and we turn up on the day`but hibs won`t roll over as they are trying to salvage something from a nightmare season. I hope the euro carrot will give us extra incentive as i`m sure Warbs will have instilled in the team to lure potential transfer targets. Here`s hoping we can pull it off.

18 May 2016 08:31:30
people said the exact same against Celtic.

18 May 2016 10:02:48
We have dug deep in cup games, played realy well. waghorn back, big added threat. we will create plenty chances, defence and goalie must show as they did celtic game. a lot of players can be made heroes on saturday, and that's both teams. both will be up for it. with hibs staying in championship AGAIN. i feel if we score first the doom and gloom will creep into there heads.

18 May 2016 10:13:00
Hibs know our game a lot better than Celtic did for the semi's. We're in for a tough, hard fought game in the final however don't forget. "In Warbs We Trust"

18 May 2016 11:47:30
Bluebear i think hibs will try to hard considering how things have panned out for them this season, and it we score first there chins will go down, causing them to get careless, i think we could put 3 past them,

18 May 2016 14:47:35
I hope its a good game on Saturday and rangers finish this season the way we started it against hibs an absolute thumpin would go down really nicely although I don't thinks hibs will allow that tbh.

18 May 2016 13:32:23
hibs may know how we play but we know how they play and we should be up for it far more than them consideing we could be in europeand that we are rested better than them.
