18 Jun 2020 22:39:10
SGL. I seen earlier you saying SG and ross wilson would not lie about signings. I'm not saying they are or would lie. I think ross wilson has been brought here to make us money as mark allen could not and was shown the door for that very reason. People on here were saying he was off to man utd but he was shown the door as his transfers out were nothing short of shocking.

18 Jun 2020 23:09:47
Good post re mark Allen fauldhoose.

18 Jun 2020 23:47:00
Fauldhoose, yeh was behind a few shocking decisions but I heard Marc Allen and Gerrard had a massive fallout resulting in Gerrard saying to King - it's either him or me. Did anyone else here that?

19 Jun 2020 01:54:54
Think Gerrard is hoping to win youth league because nearly every player we are linked to is another young up and coming talent we need major signings for here and now to stop 10 in a row not kids from Ross County Blackpool and across the pond Gerrard said it's exciting times well let's actually see it because it's hardly been inspiring so far with signings.

19 Jun 2020 07:25:16
When did 9iar happen? Must've missed that.

19 Jun 2020 07:43:19
Yes i heard that also The Stuck and i totally agree with your post fauldhoose bear! 👍.

19 Jun 2020 07:45:23
Patience stiv65.Its a great thing we're building for the future and i'm quite sure the game changing signings will come mate!

19 Jun 2020 08:50:37
Yes stuck, I have written that here before. There was a fallout linked to candaeas and Barker.

19 Jun 2020 08:55:37
the window isn't even open yet, have a little patience.

19 Jun 2020 12:09:14
I’m not surprised if the fallout was over candeias/ barker, we have nt filled his position adequately since candeias left, he would have had his place back in the team back in no time. He has been missed.

19 Jun 2020 17:36:54
Coolly, not really missed as I say before we will not win league with players off his standard.

18 Jun 2020 20:32:08
Went too my docs today and asked him if he could give me something for my liver he gave me an onion : (.

19 Jun 2020 08:26:16
Well done Laudrup for lightening the mood, it gets too tense at times, people forget we're all Gers Fans. A friend of mine had a similar medial experience, his Doctor gave him his diagnosis, and the friend asked, 'Is there anything you can do for me', and, the Doc looked at his watch, and replied ' I might have time to boil you an egg'.

18 Jun 2020 19:29:44
OMG Hearts want 8 mill and is it partick that want 2mill who do they think they are even us or the manks wouldn't get that fur winning the league.

18 Jun 2020 20:10:05
Its lost revenue dsger.

18 Jun 2020 20:10:11
I think the 8 million refers to total income lost. Prize money, Less gate receipts, tv money, corporate, and 11 games less in championship plus all other matchday income. It would mount up if you think about it.

18 Jun 2020 20:30:41
Could probably buy both their clubs for 10mill combined.

More seriously though how do they get these figures? Must be fairly easy from previous promotions/ relegations to look at typical loss/ gain of earnings. can't be anywhere near those numbers. Aim high expect low I guess, settlement of 3-4 mill probs do it in the end.

Hopefully it can see I change to governance but doubtful.

18 Jun 2020 23:22:23
How much could we have got in 2012?

19 Jun 2020 10:58:20
I assume that both Hearts and Thistle are pitching high and hoping for an out of court settlement since the cost to the SPFL both in terms of Legal Costs and Compensation, should Hearts and Thistle win, will be considerable and we should not forget that the SPFL have said before that they did not have the funds to fight a legal battle! There needs to be a fundamental change in the way our football is run. For me it is a joke that teams like Brechin City have a seat on the Board but then I also believe that Doncaster and Company are incompetent so I don't hold out much chance of change. The fun and games will come if teams are asked to pay the costs. Will it be shared evenly across all clubs - that will bankrupt more than a few, will they ask the top league to pay the majority of the costs, well even if they could afford it that can't happen when voting rights are equal. One guess is that Doncaster's appointment to a UEFA Board will be his way out, no doubt orchestrated by the organ grinder that seems to control Scottish Football and is gaining a strong say in European Football.

19 Jun 2020 12:09:49
Berkshire you assume correct. post suit claims are hardly ever considered.

18 Jun 2020 18:57:19
Looking at the training gear picks. The gear looks good. Professional, except the Unibet logo. It's hideous. Looks like my 5yr olds attempt at a corporate logo. It is the most noticeable part of the gear and that's not a good thing.

18 Jun 2020 19:03:11
I personally won’t buy it looks cheap and horrendous to be honest.

18 Jun 2020 19:17:19
The castore gear is pure quality KJA9, behave yourself mate. For quality material there won't be any quality found anywhere from any club in scotland, that will come close to the castore quality, guaranteed mate! 👌👌.

18 Jun 2020 19:25:55
Agree neither will i.

18 Jun 2020 19:44:52
Defo not the grey one anyway- horrible
Fergie would have changed this at half time.

18 Jun 2020 21:06:07
SGL
The gear is quality in your opinion in mine it looks cheap and tacky to tell you the truth I was bitterly disappointed in it.
I really hope the strips are much better.

18 Jun 2020 22:22:42
You're talking about design KJA9,i'm talking about quality of material,2 different things pal! 🤔.

18 Jun 2020 22:23:34
Just don't buy it KJA9, simple as that my friend!

18 Jun 2020 22:53:53
I certainly wouldn't be tempted with that unibet logo ruining the whole look, and the rest, I'm afraid, does look tacky no matter how good the material. Here's hoping the actual strips have a bit more class about them.

18 Jun 2020 22:58:16
I’m with you SGL. The Castore gear that I have is top notch. I will buy the rangers kit when it comes out.

18 Jun 2020 18:48:43
Well guys, things are really heating up with the SPFL resolution debacle. Hearts and Thistle have exercised their (reserved) rights and are basically seeking reinstatement (ie no promotion or relegation) . Now here's the rub - if they are successful and the courts find in their favour then this must call into question the legality of the entire resolution, including awarding Dundee Utd, Raith and Cove their respective titles. If not, then the courts would have to consider whether, or not, these league champions are still entitled to be promoted. If, they find that these teams had to complete their fixtures so as to win the leagues (as opposed to being awarded) then Hearts and Thistle should win their case. If, that happens then the teams awarded these titles will probably mount a challenge against SPFL for false representation. If the courts find that the resolution regarding promotion and relegation is unlawful then watch for the null and void argument being resurrected. Either way that clown MacKenzie's position, in particular, is untenable.

18 Jun 2020 17:57:55
I wonder if Neil Doncasters appointment to the UEFA disciplinary committee has anything to do with his pal Liewell. I believe he is working with UEFA. Could it be his reward for ending the league and awarding the tainted title?

18 Jun 2020 23:26:22
ar9, my understanding was that he will not be involved in any UEFA Disciplinary issues with Scottish Clubs though, I may be wrong though.

19 Jun 2020 07:36:37
Aye that's the soundbite irvger. Nearly choked on my tea when I heard it. Watch out for the gfitw getting off with everything despite being the worst serial offenders over the past 13 years. Over at Ibrox meanwhile a muted verse of the billy boys by the eejits will be enpugh to see them throw the book at us. Watch this space.

18 Jun 2020 15:37:10
Seen an article about Kenny McLean again possibly being linked with us

What's people thoughts on him

I know it's an article and probably not much in it
It is this a player who could do us a turn if I remember correct he played well with Aberdeen
Not watched him play for Norwich so can't comment on his current form down there
But he reminded me of a Barry Ferguson type player? Just my opinion by the way lol

Another player I seen in article was a player called Dennis Gyamfi possibly also linked
Don't know of him to be honest
Said he's a young right back with talent?

Would these two be possible good additions too the team if it came to fruition?

Just asking the question guys see what everyone thoughts on them.

18 Jun 2020 16:04:12
Stigno, McLean would be good move acquitted himself well in epl
I also note Sg saying they have programme to get Hagi fitter and to bulk him up a bit interesting.

18 Jun 2020 16:21:07
Ah right

Will be interesting - think hadgi could do with being a little quicker if I’m honest and a bit more stronger on the ball

Wonder what the outcome with Morelos is going to be?

18 Jun 2020 16:24:18
Yes i agree that Kenny mclean would be a really good signing for us. He has a terrific, educated left peg and is terrific at free kicks. I've got no doubt that if it was sorely down to kenny, he would sign for us in a heartbeat. Kenny is a big rangers man! 👍.

18 Jun 2020 16:36:49
I'd take mclean👍.

18 Jun 2020 16:47:09
KM is the type of player Ranger need.

18 Jun 2020 16:51:56
Loan deal an option if Norwich go down.

18 Jun 2020 19:05:29
SGL

Who would kenny replace in the rangers midfield? Asking for a friend.

18 Jun 2020 19:19:59
You tell me for a change KJA9? You're always asking me the questions, now it's your turn my friend! 🤔.

18 Jun 2020 19:59:45
Kenny McLean was on the Open Goal pod the other night and Wee Slaney asked him if there was any truth in the rumours. He never gave a straight answer and swerved it. That means there must be interest in him and he just can’t say or there’s nothing yet but he is not wanting to rule it out. If there was no interest or discussion then why would he not just say it’s all talk? Big Rangers man. He spoke about going to games with McBurnie!

18 Jun 2020 20:04:24
He could replace Kamara, Aribo not quite up to speed in the left midfield the way Rangers play at the moment or at least on the evidence of last season, that's why Gerrard put him more in an attacking role where he had less tactical responsibilities to take on board. (Aribo info from a Gerrard interview)

18 Jun 2020 21:07:46
You always ask people questions on here about who people would replace so that’s why I am turning the tables c'mon who do you drop and I am not saying we shouldn’t sign him.

18 Jun 2020 21:44:45
SGL McLean is better than all midfield players at ibrox.

18 Jun 2020 23:09:42
I'd sign Kenny as he's my wife's cousin's boy! Not a 'terrific, educated left peg' (that's Cooper) but good quality. Not 'terrific' at free kicks but has good quality. And so far, I'm told, there has been no approach from Rangers.

The last time we went in for him he didn't rate either Murty or the set up at the time, but certainly does now. Went to Aberdeen from St Mirren through the influence of the same person who took Darren and Derek Young, both big Gers fans, up there years ago. It will cost more than £3m and around £12-15k a week to get him but he'd love to play for us.

18 Jun 2020 23:27:27
He looked good with Norwich in the EPL any time I saw him on Telly.

18 Jun 2020 14:01:34
Well done to Hearts and Partick Thistle, I saute you.
So what are the likely outcomes? This is not going to be quick if it actually ends up in the court room so I can't see it going that far because if it did then surely we cannot start season 20/ 21.If the SPFL pay compo to them then that means all the other clubs are paying to relegate the pair, again that cannot be right. Reconstruction is not the will of the clubs so that's out. IF and its a big IF, doncasters actions are found to be illegal in law then his decisions will have to be reversed and the season declared null and void which was the obvious decision in the first place.

18 Jun 2020 14:56:11
SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster has been appointed on to Uefa’s Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body, someones taking the p**s I think.

18 Jun 2020 15:09:11
I would like to see reconstruction, our leagues badly need it. 👍.

18 Jun 2020 15:13:13
Settled out of court, neither team getting anything like what they want imo.

18 Jun 2020 15:32:02
I agree coldo, i think league reconstruction is the correct way to go at this moment in time, in our country's football leagues! Being totally neutral/ impartial here, i do believe its massively unfair on hearts, partick thistle and stranraer having been relegated. I'm not going to mention anything regarding our situation on what happened, as i've said it continually on here previously. Talking about hearts to a couple of jambos, i see neil mccann could possibly be taking over from stendel, as the new hearts manager in the scottish 27 game championship,
this coming season? There's a good few jambos i personally know, that want neil mccann as their new manager and believe he should have got the job, before stendel in the first place. Seemingly mccann was just pipped to the job by stendel several months ago. I personally have a lot of time for neil mccann and would like to see him do well, if indeed he did become the new hearts manager, although not against the famous of course!

18 Jun 2020 15:35:34
Spfl compensation, they have no money, so all clubs would be required to contribute to cost.
Doncaster et al not got for purpose.

18 Jun 2020 15:39:23
geronimo, if its settled out of court then its the clubs that foot the bill how can that be fair, it can't! Settling out of court is just daft because that could have been sorted before the threat of legal action.

18 Jun 2020 16:05:59
I like Neil McCann. Speaks a lot of sense and understands the game.

18 Jun 2020 16:06:32
Jyf I'm not saying it's fair, it's just my guess as to what will happen. And to be honest I can't work up much concern for any club other than RFC nowadays.

18 Jun 2020 16:20:30
It is unfair on the clubs that were relegated. The whole thing was joke from start to finish. There was no reason why we couldn't have finished the season. I think reconstruction is a must, our leagues are boring. On another point, I read yesterday that we had agreed a deal with sky, £160 million over 5 years, 54 live games a year. Apparently it was agreed back in 2018. It was mentioned in the article to do with the spl reimbursing bt for games that had been cancelled. £160 million is a huge investment in our game. 👍.

19 Jun 2020 08:30:59
100% correct Geronimo, as we as fans always say at Ibrox on Remembrance Day, 'Lest We Forget'.

18 Jun 2020 13:21:48
Okay, here's my thoughts. We have signed a couple of youngsters with potential on free transfers (more or less) . We have freed a couple of players surplus to requirements to fund the wages of the new recruits. We are not actively pursuing any new signings at the moment because of the uncertainties floating around just now. We also have too many players for various positions, Arfield, Hagi, Jack, Aribo, Davis, Kamara, Polster, Stewart, Docherty, Jones, Middleton, Barker, Morelos, Kent, Defoe, Murphy, Hastie etc., that's a lot of wages. Methinks we are not buying until we sell.

18 Jun 2020 13:50:18
So Sg interview a pack of lies muppet when he says we r actively pursuing signings muppet.

18 Jun 2020 14:01:43
I think Gerrard is saying that we are of course always looking to make new signings where they will strengthen the team, what manger worth his salt wouldn’t be, and we are actively scouting and monitoring potential signings but realistically we cannot just keep adding players and salaries without offloading it would be a recipe for bankruptcy.

18 Jun 2020 14:07:21
Sorry The Muppet, i agree with John25,as i don't think for a second steven gerrard or ross wilson are lying and like they both stated, i firmly do believe we're actively pursuing new signings.

18 Jun 2020 14:08:29
Muppet sg clearly said we have a number of targets and it’s exciting times, Ross Wilson wiring tirelessly to get deals done!

18 Jun 2020 15:11:31
I'd be very surprised if Gerrard and co don't already know who we are going to sign muppet. The planning would have started months ago👍.

18 Jun 2020 15:25:06
Coldo hope they have at least two or three that the press know f all about 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇦🇺⚽️😎👍.

18 Jun 2020 15:35:53
Coldo as i was talking to some jambos today regarding neil mccann,
here's a wee question for yourself and all other fellow bears in general. If neil mccann was playing with just say hearts like he was when advocaat signed him, would you want us to sign him for this team at the moment, knowing how good a left winger he was?

18 Jun 2020 15:38:17
Muppet we have moved six already, and last season cleared out Pena and Herrera at a reputed 50k a week saving on they two
It’s about doing business very cleverly like renegotiated deal with Hagi.

18 Jun 2020 16:11:43
I too do not think Gerrard was lying, I am certain he and Wilson are actively seeking and planning new signings. However I think it is even more important in the present situation with the likely financial impact created by the virus that we have plans in place to offload or loan out certain players before we commit to multimillion pound signings. Problem with the situation as it is, it is very difficult to sell/ loan to other clubs as they are having to offload and cut costs. We cannot just keep adding without selling/ loans first. I know this sounds obvious and is nothing new, but what is new is the virus and the Hearts/ Thistle liabilities and uncertainties surrounding the whole game, this is why I think we have not seen any big signings to date. I like all of you hope that changes soon.

18 Jun 2020 16:23:43
Fingers crossed cunny🤞. McCann was quality coop, I'd have him in a heart beat if he could still play the way he did 20 year ago. 👍.

18 Jun 2020 16:39:01
Neil McCann was a brilliant player for the famous. fantastic service from the left wing.

18 Jun 2020 16:54:30
McCann better player than Kent is.

18 Jun 2020 17:55:48
I was always a massive fan of neil mccann. I remember speaking to his now late dad eddie mccann outside ibrox before a midweek game many years ago now. He told us that although he grew up a celtic fan, he was there to support his boy at ibrox and stated how proud he was of neil playing for rangers. Eddie attended ibrox often supporting and watching his son playing for the famous! Neil's old man was a gentleman!

18 Jun 2020 18:25:54
I watched the league cup final vs hearts at parkhead recently when Neil McCann played for hearts (the gazza and ally fight final) . Wee McCann was outstanding. Loved when he came to rangers and hope he gets back in the game as soon as possible.

Hearts would have saved themselves a lot of money and hassle if they appointed him instead of Levein, the boy with the long hair or Stendel. Anne budge has a lot to answer for.

18 Jun 2020 19:33:25
I was at that coca cola cup final at breeze block boulevard that day Baz the bear! Mccann was absolutely outstanding in that game against us,
but fortunately for us so was gascoigne! 👌.

18 Jun 2020 13:19:29
Enjoyed watching Man City v Arsenal last night. Just think, we could have been watching Rangers v St Johnstone next week. But wait.

18 Jun 2020 15:14:39
Different world down there though, Arsenal hired a private plane to get the team to Manchester and then three coaches to get the squad to the match with social distancing, not to mention they've underwent 3 testing sessions this week alone + hotels cost once players have proved negative.

18 Jun 2020 12:51:01
Professional sport behind closed doors permitted in Scotland from 22nd June. Pity no one could've seen that happening, eh doncaster/ liewell.

18 Jun 2020 13:15:36
Scottish clubs still couldn't afford the testing.

18 Jun 2020 13:54:42
How much would the testing have cost? More or less than 10million? I don’t know the answer to that but it’s food for thought.

18 Jun 2020 14:47:28
So we can't start next season then green?
While I'm at it then, does that mean that the richest club in Scotland were awarded the title because of money green? We can use the money saved by not having to pay back the TV companies and test the players, no?

18 Jun 2020 15:39:25
Thought the Anderson money is to test players.

18 Jun 2020 15:56:43
@jyf, hopefully when the season starts it will be the SFA who pay for the testing.

18 Jun 2020 18:29:47
Coully think I read £7000 a week for testing first team, coaches, staff etc twice a week.

18 Jun 2020 18:49:25
Yea and Doncaster now appointed to a uefa committees where Lawwell is on two separate committees .
Funny the talk is if hearts and Partick are successful with there cases, there will be no promotion or champions. apart from Yes you’ve guessed it .
Stinks beyond belief.

18 Jun 2020 18:51:32
Why would it be the SFA?

18 Jun 2020 21:02:57
Because the SFA have the ultimate responsibility for control of Scottish football.

19 Jun 2020 19:05:48
The SFA are the Governing Body with a responsibility for 3 things.

1. National Teams
2. The Scottish Cup
3. Development, coach and officials education

The SPFL is wholly responsible for the professional leagues. SFA only manage compliance. SPFL manage all the contractual and commercial elements. They would be responsible for meeting the costs.

18 Jun 2020 09:24:15
I see threats are appearing to remove Hearts and Patrick from football. Chairmen should know that the law takes superiority over club, country and even UEFA rules. Jean-Marc Bosman is the best example of that. I watch with interest.

18 Jun 2020 09:55:18
No chance Hearts and Thistle will be expelled absolutely no chance.

18 Jun 2020 10:41:02
Where you seeing that mate?

18 Jun 2020 10:46:30
No chance would that happen, if it did clubs would break away and form their own body. Not a bad idea actually. 👍.

18 Jun 2020 13:37:09
Afternoon Folks, I hope you are all well. I see on the BBC Sport Page, that ND has been 'excused' from any UEFA Panels discussing punishment for Scottish teams, anyone else think there could be more to this, i. e. UEFA don't like what they've been seeing?

18 Jun 2020 14:20:40
Muppet, totally agree but my point is that lawyers and judges will decide pn SPFL decisions, not the SPFL or UEFA and that has to be a bonus.

18 Jun 2020 17:49:18
Even so lawyers or judges would not expel Hearts/ Thistle from the league that’s not a decision for them to consider.

18 Jun 2020 01:15:27
Charlie Adam is open to rangers transfer according to news outlets, like wow we didn’t see that coming huh? Guy was as quiet as a mouses watch for years until he’s desperate for a club and wages, no thanks Charlie Adam, you were barely good enough for rangers in your prime.

18 Jun 2020 07:54:32
Gazally I agree that he is past his best but to say in his prime he was never good enough is a laughable comment 🤣🤣.

18 Jun 2020 10:34:38
So the charlie adam that played for liverpool in the prem wasn't good enough for us🤔 have a day off gazally🤣👍.

18 Jun 2020 11:31:23
Hey father, at his best he only just made our reserves, then went to English 1st div. to get first team football. Nuff said.

18 Jun 2020 11:42:21
At his best he played with liverpool in the prem MBW. We have let a lot of young players go in the past where we probably should have kept them. 👍.

18 Jun 2020 11:43:50
At his peak Adams almost single handedly got Blackpool promoted to the English premier League. He then signed up at Liverpool and had a good season there.
Unfortunately his peak was 9-10 seasons ago.
I am not for one minute suggesting he should sign for rangers but he was a good player back in the day.

18 Jun 2020 11:50:14
Charlie Adam had a good record for US never mind what he went on to achieve down south, but I remember he used to get stick off, probably, the same fans that don't appreciate what he has achieved up until now.

18 Jun 2020 11:58:22
Millerbrandwilson if you ever saw him play he was always given a hard time by some fans but he had it always! Nuff said!

18 Jun 2020 12:09:00
Adam sat at a Liverpool press conference and was asked about Gers getting demoted and he replied that he didn’t care. No thanks .

18 Jun 2020 12:43:29
travelled 4 thousand miles to watch adam in new year old firm game pull up after 33 mins puffing looking at the bench. knew before he was picked not good enough and know now he was never.

18 Jun 2020 13:26:17
He got a hard time for us because he was out of position his whole time with us, he was too slow to play either side, Did well enough and score a few classics, great cm after he left us, he’s been finished for many years now though.

18 Jun 2020 14:50:51
Jaws, saw his whole career with gers. Nothing to write home about. For good or ill never played past reserves and one season in Eng prem does not a player make.

18 Jun 2020 14:16:23
Charlie Adam did get a hard time from some of our supporters and just like tav has become in the present day, the whipping boy. Adam had a left foot like a wand, but was played out of position by rangers at times. I also have to add, he wasn't the fittest looking player on occasions.
I also agree with jaws, that adam should never have said that about rangers at the time. So to sum it all up i wouldn't want him back at rangers now, as i firmly believe his best years are well behind him. For those who would like us to bring charlie adam back, what position would you play him in and who's place in our starting 11 should he take? 🤔.

18 Jun 2020 15:36:53
Played against him a lot at boys club level. What a talent only 2nd then to Jamie winter local both were unreal, charlie clearly went on to the better career . Unfortunately played out of position by rangers. Remeber his goal v them at ibrox. free kick under the wall was genius.

18 Jun 2020 15:41:00
Hardie Adam was not the worst by a long shot,
He was a very good player in English premier.

18 Jun 2020 15:57:22
I don't think anyone has said they want Adams to join coop.

19 Jun 2020 03:26:00
well all I’m saying is if Charlie Adam really wants us to get the title next year he will shut up about a transfer lol 😂 or does he not realise we’re a fast ‘progressing’ club at the minute 🤔 no thanks Charlie all the best, we don’t care 🤷‍♂️ 😂.
