Rangers interested in Northern Irish international lee hodson.

18 Jun 2016 20:30:58
are we on Michael McGovern case yet
he was outstanding for n. i
and for a freebie what more do you want.

18 Jun 2016 20:26:53
Guys I know it's early on in the season but this team needs to hurry up and bond together and start to show what we can do, how can we expect to win the league when sitting 3rd from bottom so quickly. Sort it out guys. lol.

18 Jun 2016 20:07:07
FFS Rangers get finger out and pay Accrington what they are due, this is ridiculous taking 6 months to resolve a paltry sum! and don't blame them, you have known about it since January, have we learned NOTHING since 2012?

18 Jun 2016 21:09:34
Yet the PR Spin from level 5 states Rangers CV haven't been contacted! I don't know how much there paying J. Traynor but he is a Parasite.

18 Jun 2016 21:49:18
Accrington are only due what is in the guidlines from Uefa/ fifa with regards training compensation. It is due between the ages of 15 to 21. However it depends on things like when did they sign, when did they become a first team regular etc. Accrington haven't provided this because they are unhappy on losing out on money because its a cross border move. However this info impacts on the amount due. For instance Fabregas and Rooney were established players at age 17. So had they moved under a bosman before their 23rd birthday any club would argue that training compensation wasnt due for years 17 to 21 as they were finished training and were first team regulars. The blame lies with them, not with Rangers.

18 Jun 2016 21:49:59
We don't need to pay compensation until they officially start new contracts with us. Eg. We have 30 days from the 30th of June to agree and pay the compensation.

This is just Accrington owner being a whopper because he's bitter about the two lads leaving for us.

18 Jun 2016 23:07:33
Haha the old Rangers way!

18 Jun 2016 23:36:29
Are you having a laugh wee bill? Do you think we should just bend over and just let them do what they want to us? A sum will be agreed in due course, it has very little to do with rangers.

18 Jun 2016 22:57:35
By all accounts its accrington holding it up with development fee as there losing out big time with cross border. there free agaents now so feck em let them train.

18 Jun 2016 19:09:09
Sure it's not Stan Collymore lol.

18 Jun 2016 18:28:18
Is Mr Warburton still on holiday. Been very quiet since the cup final.

18 Jun 2016 19:17:24
Mason 551, MW doing his coaching badge, guy doesn't
stop .
Yes he is quiet as he has done his work and now in the hands of the powers at be to get the players he has targeted .
Don't see any probs .

18 Jun 2016 19:48:03
Plenty photos going about of him today at the first day of pre season.

18 Jun 2016 20:31:44
He has been down south ever since spending time with his family but also doing his works while he spends time down south sure he met Hill @ FA head quarters.

18 Jun 2016 18:47:56
twitter showing pic of him arriving at murray park.

18 Jun 2016 17:31:50
Curtis Nelson seen with Frank McPartland and Davie Weir out for dinner in Glasgow.

18 Jun 2016 18:13:57
Its Adrian Mariappa mate.

18 Jun 2016 18:32:32
It's definitely not Curtis Nelson mate. It's either mariappa or roofe.

18 Jun 2016 12:38:51
Does ny1 else think that our formation will be 4-2-3-1 next season? with all the midfielders arriving surely it has to mean a change in style aswell. am sure the hat is plying his next trick!

18 Jun 2016 13:11:38
That's what we played last season.

18 Jun 2016 13:11:49
If you read into the football development 4-3-3 will be our formation indefinitely until MW and DW leave. It's the same as every level of development there all and always will be indefinitely 4-3-3.

18 Jun 2016 14:03:39
Yip he's changing to plan b now, just the exact same as plan a only better, with the players were bringin in we won't need to change formation, we'll be even better than last season aswell.

18 Jun 2016 19:38:38
People get way to caught up in formations, it's not the formation that matters it's the way we play and the style in which we do it. We know how they are going to do it and more importantly the players know there job which showed in the semi final.

18 Jun 2016 12:08:49
Mario ballotelli unwanted by ac Milan and besiktas turn down move. As well as Liverpool not interested in the player with no current teams in for him could rangers offer him a loan deal to get career back on track?

18 Jun 2016 13:24:06
Saw this the other day and suggested it on here. Wasn't met with very many positives!
Don't like him myself but would (with the right attitude) absolutely rip the SPL a new one.

18 Jun 2016 11:12:58
I would hands down have to say that Kyle Lafferty is just the type of striker we need next season.

I know our style of play has changed dramatically - but looking at King Kenny and comparing Lafferty's work rate, they have similarities in their game.

I doubt we will play as expansive as last year, and if we are going to frustrate teams, then we need a striker willing to run and hassle.

The big Ulster boy ticks all those boxes and he loves the Teds. Why not?

18 Jun 2016 12:22:33
He's a good player who will be available, let's be honest he's far better than the likes of Bradshaw and grigg right now.

18 Jun 2016 13:33:17
Have to agree he is a better option than some of the other names we've been linked with. He's matured a lot since his first spell at us too. I'd be quite happy to have him back.

18 Jun 2016 15:20:19
Yeah let's take him back so he can walk out on us again. The man is an embarrassment and we don't need someone like that at the club.

18 Jun 2016 15:25:24
Aye, he really loves the TEDS jorge the hammer! He loves them that much he wanted to take our club to court, FACT! He couldn't wait to bail out! He made his bed, get him to f***, don't want or need his sort, he's now talking about rangers again because no other club wants him, as far as I'm concerned, A BIG FAT NO THANKS!

19 Jun 2016 05:38:53
Well said Warburtonthefifteenth.

18 Jun 2016 10:52:06
Watched a YouTube video "Souness hounded out of Scotland by the SFA".

Walter in charge, but Dalglish, Butcher, Graham, Wilkins, and Beckenbauer tipped for the job.

Born after 86, so was wondering, was there really a chance of Kenny Dalglish coming to Rangers as manager and what was the reaction of Rangers fans at the time when he was linked with the job.

That link was an even bigger surprise than Beckenbauer to be honest.

Plus the looks Murray and Souness were giving each other. Chilly very very chilly.

18 Jun 2016 11:19:31
I was around and just remember it being a shock which came out of nowhere. Sourness was definitely getting dealt with harshly by the SFA but probably deserved it. My recollection was that there was never any real doubt about Walter being the new manager. I don't recall really any speculation around the other names mentioed

The looks from MURRAY go hand in hand with him telling Souness he was making a really big mistake leaving. History would suggest that he was both right and wrong and Souness is on record recently that he made a mistake.

At the time on balance Souness was absolutey pivotal for Rangers given where the club had been for the previous 5 years.

18 Jun 2016 15:22:55
Agree with Mols I remember him telling Murray he was leaving for Liverpool but wanted to stay with us until end of the season. He was told to go by Murray and Walter was given job. Don't recall any real rumours linking other people with the job.

18 Jun 2016 11:12:25
We're a few mentioned, Beckenbauer etc, nobody was sure what to think, but a lot of people wanted Walter and am glad that was what transpired, Ian Ferguson had a bet that it would be him.

18 Jun 2016 13:17:10
There was talk of all those guys mate, especially dalgliesh, who was a Rangers fan, who was brought up in Ibrox, he was seen at ibrox often in the director box, sometimes with Murray, sellik fans hate the fact that dalgliesh was here so often, Rangers were abig draw for any manager in Europe at that time, and beckenbaur played against us when we were one of the best teams in Europe so he had a long association with us, and was friendly with the likes of big john and DJ, and Sandy, so his name cropped up a few times, great time to be a bluenose, vvbit the sfa hated douness with a vengeance, they also didn't like real professional football players loke butcher and Stevens questioning their archaic rules and regular suspensions of Rangers players.

18 Jun 2016 10:14:10
With Wanyama going to Spurs surely Ball is free to return home! He must be 4th choice at least their now! Personally don't get the Wanyama signing, he looked decent in the SPL but poor technically and a liability defensively. Every time I've seen him play for Southampton he's been sent off for clumsy and often dangerous tackles and the others he's narrowly escaped the same fate. His attitude stinks too and only worsens anytime a bigger club show a hint of interest!

18 Jun 2016 11:50:46
Sorry mate victor, s a great player, he's done well at Southampton and now he's going to be key in that Spurs team, I agree he can get sent off to much tho.

18 Jun 2016 12:24:15
Wanyama isn't good enough for Southampton never mind spurs! Schniederlin carried him his first year and this year romeu and davis played more games.

18 Jun 2016 13:01:15
Wanyama is over rated imo and unless spurs are going to play 2 holding mids dier will easily and I mean easily keep him out that team plus don't want that other mob getting anything from a big transfer because of sell ons.

18 Jun 2016 20:29:13
wanyama is class in what he does that is why he is sought after.

18 Jun 2016 21:15:29
If he had played in a blue jersey he would be classed as 1 of the best. Fans can be so fickle.

18 Jun 2016 14:41:07
Be honest here if he wasn't good enough for Southampton would spurs really be trying to sign him?

18 Jun 2016 09:30:43
Does anyone genuinely believe that we will sign Ings on loan? if this move goes through I will be over the moon, he will run riot up here, hope warbs can get a deal for him over the line 🔴⚪️🔵.

18 Jun 2016 09:44:11
Personally forfarger I don't think we'll sign danny ings although like you I'd be ecstatic if we did manage to sign him even on a 6 month loan deal, echo your statement mate, he would run riot up here in scotland and with our brand of total attacking football he'd score a barrowload of goals for us.

18 Jun 2016 10:29:13
McParland was a big factor in a couple of the signings we've made so far. Likely he will be with this as well.

Barton would have been a suggestion from him I'd imagine, Rossiter no doubt given the Liverpool connection and Kranjcar and Hill would likely have been connected due to the Barton deal.

If the club is going to get him you'd imagine McParland will be given a lot of credit for it.

18 Jun 2016 08:09:47
Big Cyprus Hill hints hat rangers are going to make a big signing.

I this is the media attention I get I can't wait see what its like when we get a big signing.

I still think there is someone big to come ings, you're or possibly someone still plying at the euros.

17 Jun 2016 23:02:03
I believe we're going about our business correctly this time, in days of old McCoist would be openly telling you about everyone were going for and inevitably not get, not this time Warburton is doing a sterling job and flying under the radar a bit like it!

18 Jun 2016 14:43:23
See your point but Clint hill smells like a coisty signing - decent player, experienced but past sell by date.

17 Jun 2016 23:49:13
Just listened to Clint Hill interview and he sound's like a thoroughly decent big lad.
Lets wish the fellow well and hope he turns out to be a gem. W&W have picked good players up for buttons before let's hope this guy is another one.
Good luck for the season ahead big man.
welcome to the most successful club in the world the famous Glasgow Rangers.
