See if you analyse windlass header attempts at goal from way back when he first came you will see that he gets on the end of crosses frequently makes decent contact with the ball but its always fractions over the bar, this has started irritating me can someone please tell him to point his big head downward when heading he'd have about a hundred goals by now.

I’m not sure you can say the England players were ordinary when you consider the wages and transfer fees these guys would command. Most of the English team played for the top 4 teams in England and all played deep into the champions league. Think they are more than just ordinary.

Should we try and sign our former striker,
kyle lafferty from hearts? Like i posted on here around a couple of weeks ago now, i have heard that negotiations between rangers and hearts, have taken place regarding this! I was told it was a possible swap deal, both clubs were discussing, with lee wallace plus a fee going to hearts and kyle lafferty coming back to rangers! I know there will be conflicting opinions on a possible lafferty return, to us!

I can’t see the logic in Lafferty now we have brought in Sadiq. They seem quite similar to me and although I think Lafferty could do a job I think if we can we need to aim for better quality.

One former player to me that is a no brainer is S Davis.

The question we should all ask ourselves is do we want to win the league sooner rather than later. If the answer is yes, we need eleven better players than we had last year, with back up.
So I'd say lafferty is a no brainer as one off four strikers. We need four who each score around twentygoals each, reduce goals conceded from 50to 25 then we have a chance.

Think we all need to move on from 6yrs ago. I would take Lafferty back as imo is a better finisher than Morelos and from the 2 European games so far, we're struggling to take our chances and harder teams are to come in Europe and domestically.

I don't understand some of you guys. How can you call Forrester a waster. He played well when we got promotion but got injured at the end When he came back he wasn't given much game time to get back to strength and then management brought in Caixinha (in their wisdom) who ignored him and sent him out on loan for the whole season. One thing about Harry is that he was a team player, would always get stuck in, was willing to take people on and have a shot at goal. If we had him in the 2nd half of last season he would have got us some more goals and assists and we would have ended up 2nd unlike where we did relying on lackadaisical and non team player Morelos. We could have done with Harry yesterday too which was more like watching England play a few years back.

Have to agree but still early day, watchen many games it seems clear were missing a barry ferguson type player some that controls the game and can play a through ball not saying its easy to get such a player thoe, last night the tempo was very slow and no runs from midfield to help morelos whos confedince is shot for a young boy to come in last season from abroad and scorer the ammount of goals he did was impressive heres hoping with some support he can get bk to abit of form, very slow start thoe mid to front

I think its just dawning on our Manager the gravity of the work ahead of him and his staff to get Rangers back to the top. The Performance yesterday was to say the least poor, passing terrible, basic technique poor, our wastefulness in the final third is what makes fans go radio rental. I think as soon as the 2 new boys get there clearance thru they will be in the team, hopefully they can make a difference.

Agree mols professional performance away from home rarely troubled. The one in last min was the only one u could really call a clear cut chance. We missed a good few chances or wed have been saying it was a great result.

SG only playing Morelos because there is no-one else available, of course he is bigging him up, got to keep his head up. His performance last night was terrible, got to at least make the keeper work when shooting straight at goal, he missed the whole target!

One thing we need to do is play 2 upfront and sign an experienced striker but SG mentioned that we are lacking a bit of quality in the final third.
Morelos was more effective when he played alongside Miller.
Hopefully we sign a striker before the 20th July which is the deadline before the 2nd qualifying round of the Europa League as currently we only have Sadiq, and Morelos.

Wanna give my thoughts on Morelos since everyone is doing it,

Well 1st off that was genuinely the worst performance I have seen from a professional striker, it was vanarama league standard, up there with Steven fletcher’s performance against England back in 2016 and that’s saying something.

Secondly, can folk stop making excuses for him like, he’s young and still learning etc. Nah you either have it or you don’t, look at Mbappe still a teenager and already world class, when he’s 26 and still doing the same what will be the excuses be? He isn’t good enough for end of, when we had that offer from China we should have snatched at it as after that I wouldn’t be surprised if we ever get a offer in the millions region again,

what we should have done was take the £7-11 mill offer and then look to have bought a qaulity striker 1 that comes to mined is £5 mill rated jack Marriott. destined for the big time and continues to bang them in.

Point is Morelos just isn’t good enough, I think if we miraculously get another off in from a club in China or turkey we should sell. He obviously is struggling in Scotland and it’s affecting his career.

Sorry guys for a negative post but it had to be said, Morelos has to be sold not just because he’s bad, but for his own sake otherwise his career will destroyed by himself and the media. He can’t handle the pressure end of.

matthews11, I agree with either having ability or not having ability, but Morelos has shown he can score goals, he was the 2nd highest goalscorer in the league last year.

Also, why even mention Mbappe? The boy is one of the best players in the world, he is not the bench mark for young players around the world. Players dip in and out of form and so will Mbappe at some point.

I think he just needs to stint on the bench, this is common with strikers, the problem is when they are mainstays in the team regardless of performance.

Think everybody needs to take a deep breath and calm down, it's the second competitive game of the season and the season hasn't even kicked off yet officially.

Futher to my last post about morelas as i said previously we paid 1 million for the boy. Can our fans get a reality check. If we want the finished article that will score 30 plus goals and provide assits or want to get a young top notch propect then you better dig deep guys because strikers like that cost between 5 and 10 mill or their wages are 50k plus per month.

Yes he misses lots of chances but so did sally the big difference there is that sally got maybe 10 chances per game because he had better players and strike partner to play off of. At least the boy is getting into those spaces to create a chances to score so imo he will score goals

The same could be said about windy we paid 500k for him.
If they are both as bad as prob the vast amount of fans that come on here think then what right do we have to ask min 2 mill for windy and between 3 and 8 mill for morelas.
Ps last season morelas in top 3 top goal scorers in the league windy in top 3 for goal and assits from attack mid and we want rid after 3 games this season in a new system and style with new players around them.

If i played for the gers i would prob come onto this site to read what the fans thought of me ect what must these guys comfidence be like if they are reading some of these posts about them.

Its widely recognised that after 20 minutes of playing poorly the boos start from the terraces. Surely you must recognise that this has a negative effect on our players?

Our "fans" should be the "extra man", offering encouragement and support to every player on the pitch.

I just wish all of our fans would get off of morelas back. We are three games into the season game 1 bury scored and was directly involved in another 2 goals game 2 was involved in rangers first goal.
For gods sake we only paid a million for him he is 21 and last season he was our top goal scorer with 18 and that playing in prob one of the worse gers teams i have seen and mainly playing upfront himself.
He is prob worth still a min of at least 3 mill if he decided to go or the club decide to sell him.
But come on guys give the boy a chance and get behind him and if his returns are poor by xmas then cash in on him.
So many fans on here are 2 quick to judge i rem back 2 selling waggy and gardner couple of months later when they are banging them in down south aw we should have never sold them. Cummings was another one Then there was ball just spend the money get him in well he is with the sheep and is bang average. Walker and scott allan just pay the million get them in. the list goes on.
