Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

18 Dec 2020 20:10:49
I see the great Stato from the East has just picked up on the fact that Rangers will now be free to play the league game at home to Ross County on the league cup semi weekend in January, whereas his lot won't be.

18 Dec 2020 22:35:24
Would have rather played in the semi final.

18 Dec 2020 17:46:10
Let’s be positive tomorrow hopefully the team
Man up and show us what they are made off and going for a 3-0 win and agree with the people that have said Defoe must start.

18 Dec 2020 18:46:03
Motherwell will have a little more hope after St Mirren beating us. Still, we should and will win. 3-0.

18 Dec 2020 20:16:50
I wouldn't be one bit surprised if motherwell manager stephen robinson uses the same tactics goodwin used against us on wednesday, to man mark and nulify tav🤔Both tav and barisic as we all know are crucial in the way gerrard wants us to play! A lot of other manager's will have took note to the way goodwin set up against us, so it will be up to gerrard if that does indeed happen, to come up with a counter tactic to overcome this 🤔.

18 Dec 2020 20:28:15
Steven Gerrard Loyal maybe he will try to use the same tactics as St Mirren, maybe other managers will have been looking on. However, none will now have the element of surprise and few will have the players to achieve it. We won't be that poor again, that's for sure. By the way, can I ask you again when you played for Lanarkshire Schoolboys as I also played in the 60s? If you don't want to answer that's okay, but we might know each other.

18 Dec 2020 20:42:46
Coop that is exactly what I’d expect from Motherwell but doubling up in high areas is a very risky strategy due to the spaces it leaves in other areas of the park. We will fully exploit that if they go for that. We had too many players under perform midweek and as I said during the game, going with a team without Davis Kamara or Jack was baffling as Zungu looks decent at breaking up play but his range of passing isn’t going to control a game like the others do. I fully expect us to come out the traps and go at Motherwell. 3-1 rangers 🔴⚪️🔵 Defoe, Arfield and A Tav pen will be on my coupon.

18 Dec 2020 21:58:14
The stuck is that the same St mirren that beat mwell
Away last weekend?

18 Dec 2020 22:08:10
Tavsonloyal, it was the late 60's i was born my friend! It was the 80's i played for the lanarkshire county mate 👍 I wish i could turn back the clock pal🙏.

18 Dec 2020 22:09:48
I'm betting defoe and rangers 2-0 and 3-0 mate 👍.

18 Dec 2020 22:37:29
I thought Zungu was awful far too slow. Early days for him however he just looks average and if they want £3m for him then he can go back.

18 Dec 2020 22:40:05
We play well when we strangle the opposition in midfield and Kamara, jack and Davis control things with their neat interplay and no wasted passes-even having 2 if the 3 is enough- a classic example being the last game against the Poles when you could see the polish players lose heart as the game progressed. The experiment of not playing them failed and must not be repeated, lack of injuries permitting.

18 Dec 2020 23:40:10
If you look at the stat's on Wednesday, we had more than enough shots on target to have won that game, hopefully we can hit the net with a few tomorrow.

19 Dec 2020 05:57:13
Irvger maybe we did but there keeper never had many great saves to make and in the 2nd half other than tavs free kick and Davis goal I can only remember one shot by hagi and that was straight at him.

19 Dec 2020 08:35:45
I agree with you KJA9, but we have the quality in our team where we should, with the chances we're creating, score more goals, we don't push hard enough for the killer goal IMO, hopefully we'll all be happy on Saturday Evening.

18 Dec 2020 15:43:25
On Google there's a link to a piece in the s#n newspaper stating Rangers have never won a game straight after a cup defeat under Gerrard. Only the headline shows when you do a search for Rangers.
I never clicked into the site as the s@n are scumbags, but is that true?

18 Dec 2020 15:49:45
up till now BMGH01 the sun is biased in my opinion and always has been a celts paper trying to look not.

18 Dec 2020 16:09:04
Think it might be mate. Three 1-1 draws and a one nil loss to Hamilton. I could be wrong though.

18 Dec 2020 16:17:00
statistics don't win games, if you listen to the commentary on sky sports commentators there are full of more drivel than the sun, comments coming from games and stats from 1936 onwards, beats me how they steal a wage, let's roll on and do motherwell tomorrow and move on from there, the sun, the daily rebel, the scotsman no wonder they call the rags.

18 Dec 2020 16:30:07
If it's true, no better time than tomorrow to sort that out.

18 Dec 2020 16:48:14
Thanks for pointing out the obvious trueblue, but neither does scoring less goals than the opposition. 🤣.

18 Dec 2020 17:14:36
I said it yesterday that there is a reason we haven’t won a trophy under Gerrard. We have simply not been good enough and it’s time for the team to man up! There can be absolutely no excuses for Wednesday night and this is the last chance saloon for the Boss as another season without a trophy won’t be tolerated. Guys can call out he is under contract unto 2024, but Steven will no his time is up!

18 Dec 2020 17:33:35
Yately, I'll maybe reconsider my opinion on SG if he fails to win a trophy this season, but I do believe he is the best manager in Scotland - though far from perfect - and that we have the best and most motivated squad in Scotland and will therefore win the league and very possibly the cup. Blips happen but we have seen year on year progress under the man.

18 Dec 2020 17:46:10
Geronimo, It’s time to deliver mate✌️🇬🇧.

18 Dec 2020 18:21:38
If he wins the league he's a legend forever. if he doesn't statisically he's our worst manager in our history. Fine margins.

18 Dec 2020 20:24:05
Paul think he might be already the worst manager in our history way the amount of leagues n cups he's tried and falled big time to win mite be wrong tho.

18 Dec 2020 22:01:56
DS are you at the wind up what age are you 12?

18 Dec 2020 22:46:45
Hes the been the manager who has went the longest without winning a trophy. He's certainly not our worst manager.

18 Dec 2020 23:00:51
St mirren beat us. On that day their team was better, as were their managers tactics and substitutes. Their formation and whatever else. We lost. They won. Too bad. Records don't care about shots on goal or possession. Records show we lost. We'll get over it. I suspect a tough game tomorrow. Maybe 1-0. We've been Lucky on many occasions this season. Helander will be back after a long time out. Maybe even bassey will fill in as a cb. I hope we win. 55. One day closer.

19 Dec 2020 02:53:42
Just watching Rangers v Celtic 2018. Alfredo is loadslighter on his feet prob at least a stone or 2 less. I was one to say he hasn't put on weight but probably just wishful thinking. He needs to trim down, what a shadow of a player he has become.

18 Dec 2020 15:02:41
Chins up fellow bears. Win our next 5 league games. The title is ours. 🇬🇧.

18 Dec 2020 15:25:41
That's just crap! Did you not see the game on Wednesday? Until it's mathematically impossible, anything can happen.
Winning the next 5 games will have us sitting pretty at the top of the league, but all it takes is another few performances like Wednesday, and suddenly it doesn't look so good.

18 Dec 2020 15:48:59
Better no say that on here mate youl get lambasted fur it.

18 Dec 2020 15:52:12
Tomorrows game will let us see how we are really doing guys.

I'm banking on a win and I better be right.

18 Dec 2020 16:41:36
Philtims got the mighty Motherwell to win or draw so we should be OK, I know a 1-0 will do but I would like a 4 or more 0,must get all 3 points.
I'll go 4-1 and captain Tav to score a first.
Come on ye Hearts.

18 Dec 2020 17:09:02
I'll take any sort of win mate. A 1-0 victory courtesy of a deflection off of Tav's arse would do for me, but If we pump them, even better.

18 Dec 2020 17:35:15
Any win as usual but a convincing one would settle us down again.

18 Dec 2020 23:22:21
What is all the panic about we have a good squad and all of a sudden it becomes questionable, they have added 2 squad players not even internationalists and all of a sudden they are going to play every game and wipe the floor with the rest of the league.
Will be interesting to see there line up tomorrow does Lennon pick the team or is it the board to please the green brigade.

19 Dec 2020 07:49:24
Boo123, it's chat like that which will leave us all looking daft if we have any more performances like Wednesday, as if we do that mob could be right back in it. From now til end of January is crucial given what's happened the last 2 season's. I don't think any of us should be overly confident. Still too many games left.

18 Dec 2020 14:20:11
Team I'd play tomorrow
McGregor
Tavernier
Barasic
Goldson
Big fill
Kamara
Davis
Arfield
Kent
Roofe
Defoe.

18 Dec 2020 14:42:35
Time to give our #2 goalie a chance --commands the 6 yard box.

18 Dec 2020 15:07:50
I agree to give McLaughlin a run. Better at crosses and commanding the box and a better kicker. Defence looks more assured when he plays. Mcgregor a great shot stopper but starting to creak a bit.

18 Dec 2020 15:29:44
McLaughlin is far too good to sit on the bench. If he doesn't get more game time, I wouldn't blame him If he wanted to leave.

18 Dec 2020 16:14:25
I think McLaughlin deserves a run of league games.

18 Dec 2020 20:17:19
Naw definitely Mcgegor should play last game was his only bad game that i can recall.

18 Dec 2020 20:41:01
As far as I can see, McLaughlin is a half decent keeper who has improved a bit since his journeyman days in England's third and fourth divisions, non-league and Hearts. Didn't he once say he could handle the pressure of playing for a club as big as Sunderland (division 3)?! He's safe enough as a back-up but when McGregor goes, we will need to markedly step up our search for a quality keeper who can hold his own at a higher level, especially Europe. I just don't think that's McLaughlin.

18 Dec 2020 13:02:45
Clare white got morelos banned from the swimming pool she said he took a dive.

18 Dec 2020 13:11:46
Morelos got himself banned because he's a petulant twit. That punch line is better than yours laudrup👍.

18 Dec 2020 13:38:04
I think you are getting Morelos and Kent mixed up Laudrup🤔.

18 Dec 2020 13:42:29
Alfredo Morelos is to be investigated for causing global warming. Don’t know if was just click bait 🤷🏻‍♂️ Lol.

18 Dec 2020 12:39:51
Frimpong 18m and folk laugh at tav's valuations. My God a know that boy is a lot younger but his end product is dire.

18 Dec 2020 13:01:11
A one trick pony. Who knows what they'll claim he's worth if he ever learns another.

18 Dec 2020 13:26:34
Pinpong 18 million 😂😂😂 aye right tav must 36 million at least.

18 Dec 2020 13:43:52
I still maintain tav is worth £15/ 20m and I don’t. Are what anyone says. The only problem is length of contract remaining. I bet if we hadn’t lost the revenue we had through C.V. tav and goldson and kamara would all be tied down by now.

18 Dec 2020 10:19:56
Kamara and davis must return against motherwell, we badly missed them against St Mirren. They control games better than any other mids we have. Gerrard must take that on the chin, underestimated St Mirren with that line up🤦‍♂️. Its imperative that we bouce back instantly. 👍.

18 Dec 2020 10:28:58
Agree Coldo, for me two off Davis, Jack and Kamara should start every game.

18 Dec 2020 10:30:35
Correct coldo, playing zungu and aribo in midfield not the best idea.

18 Dec 2020 10:32:34
Correct Coldo, we must play our strongest team if the players are available.
Saturday is going to tell us a lot about this team. I think it's going to be tough, and it's not going to be pretty, but I'm positive we'll get a win.

18 Dec 2020 10:38:20
BMG when the going gets tough, the tough get going. Here’s hoping.

18 Dec 2020 10:43:59
With the transfer window opening soon, be very interesting the team selections from now on? Just my opinion.

18 Dec 2020 10:44:16
Hopefully, John.
I think Motherwell is the ideal team to play. They're sitting 5th in the league, doing not bad, they play a physical style of football, and they hate us! A real test, and If we come through this, it will show everyone what we're made of.

18 Dec 2020 10:45:25
I’m in confident mood - think we will get back to winning ways and steam roll them 😊.

18 Dec 2020 10:48:31
Agree with that coldo 👍.

18 Dec 2020 10:52:29
Hey coldo how are you? Hope your well mate

Not sure if I’ve just been missing your posts but not seen you on in ages
agree we need to bounce back and I’m feeling confident we will with a good win 😊.

18 Dec 2020 10:53:41
"Underestimated" The team that started the game on Thursday night should of won! Everybody was on here a couple of weeks ago banging on about how we had two players for every position! And Gerrard literally said in the pre match interview that he and the team won't underestimate st mirren!

18 Dec 2020 10:54:24
A team with far more changes beat a better side in Poznan.
I know that's no source of comfort but people are only moaning about the changes because we got beat.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
It's just a pity that a few of our regular players along with the changes made had an off night.

18 Dec 2020 11:15:17
I see Jack still out and balogun can’t play.

18 Dec 2020 11:30:04
Can't argue with that coldo spot on mate 👍 I would add jermain defoe to both davo and kamara as certain starters against motherwell the morra! 👍.

18 Dec 2020 11:30:16
I'm good stig. You? Gave wednesday night a miss. Couldn't believe Gerrard's team selection in a cup qtr final. Particularly zungu and aribo in midfield. 🤦‍♂️👍.

18 Dec 2020 11:41:53
And that should say Wednesday 🤦.

18 Dec 2020 12:00:51
Its tottaly true if Jack or Kamara aren't in the team we're not the same they break play recycle the ball get us going the right way again. Hope we go with Kamara Davo and Arfield. And Defoe or Roofe through the mide please.

18 Dec 2020 12:20:58
That’s a blow Jack still out. Miss him breaking up the oppositions attacks. It might just be a coincidence but look at the amount of goals we’ve lost since he’s been out injured.

18 Dec 2020 13:25:10
Spot on Coldo mate, It’s a must win against Motherwell, Put more pressure on Tim’s. Have a great weekend fellow blue noses. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️🇬🇧👍.

18 Dec 2020 13:40:54
MPH sand barrowlad 100% correct you guys.

Coldo am not surprised you singled out those two and never mentioned your boy arfield who was just bad if not worse than those 2 on Wednesday.

And you forgot to say we missed fredo 🤭.

18 Dec 2020 13:54:01
Jaws for me not a coincidence we r really missing Jack.

18 Dec 2020 14:05:09
The majority of our players on wednesday night had poor games!
Arfield included but he's been superb for us this season in general and any player at any given time can you know, have a bad game 🤔 That's football, always has been like that.

18 Dec 2020 14:06:30
Not that it’s a great consolation but I would rather have lost in that league cup tie on Wednesday than lost a game and 3 points in a league game. Hopefully that was the blip that brings them all back down to earth and is not repeated in the league. The Title is far more important than that Cup, back to winning ways on Saturday lads👍.

18 Dec 2020 14:14:49
I never forgot to say anything KJA9👍.

18 Dec 2020 14:21:09
Zunga will be back in France come the summer, nowhere near the standard required.

18 Dec 2020 14:23:24
Well will come at us harder and faster than st Mirren, buckle up lads.

18 Dec 2020 14:23:27
Jacks our enforcer and he's super calm on the ball great player.

18 Dec 2020 14:43:13
Would have big fil in anyway after balogun performance during week. Sweep agree said from b4 we signed him nowhere close to standard we require in middle of the park. Folk on here after his game v falkirk sayin he will be great for us. can't see him getting much game time now unless serious injuries in middle of park. Ross mccrorie far better player.

18 Dec 2020 20:01:46
i said before he even signed, that I thought zungu had coullibally wrote all over him. not been impressed so far too many went overboard for 45 mins against hamilton when we were 4 goals up. Missing ryan jack so much.

18 Dec 2020 09:20:30
tell you what guys, there are a lot of "men" on here that seriously need to grow up. Used to really enjoy coming on this site and reading/ engaging fellow supporters about the greatest club on earth but now?!?!

From start of season the constant bitching, sniping and people getting thier knickers in a bunch over little things is bordering on pathetic. This has been going on all season, even with our amzing start on all fronts

Are we not all bluenose's? are we not all dyed in the wool bears? Do we not all want OUR club to be the force we once were?

Im all for a bit debate and opinions but for the love of god so many need to get a grip!

He picks on me, he said this, he always digs me out etc etc

GROW UP LADS

Lets go into 2021 as a united front and we will all see our great club seal the 55 and put them back in thier place.

18 Dec 2020 09:39:52
Ed probably won't allow my reply jb500 .

You can always not read the posts or you can even unsubscribe my friend .

If not you just have to accept people don't always agree with each other and some do overreact on the spur of the moment.

Is your "GROW UP LADS" comment not just the type of comment you are complaining about .

18 Dec 2020 10:05:05
Well said blue billy.

18 Dec 2020 10:16:02
I always love how some go on a rant to tell others to calm down! 😂.

18 Dec 2020 10:48:43
So you can be funny Mr PotatoeHead that reply did make me laugh out loud 😂.

18 Dec 2020 10:54:12
Is that a bit of hypocrisy I see from the original poster? Ah, don't you just love it?

18 Dec 2020 11:07:04
Not very often Stig, that's my contribution to the laughter stakes for December 👍🤣
Though I better be back smiling after Saturday's game.
I got a row from the wife on Wednesday night - it's been a couple of months since I've shouted and swore at the TV like I did the other night! Though didn't put my foot through it like DS! 😳.

18 Dec 2020 11:43:19
😀😂😂😂😂😂.

18 Dec 2020 11:44:28
Remember years ago up in cambuslang a guy through his tv out the window after an old firm game
He was a few stories up ended up getting the Nick for it 😂😂.

18 Dec 2020 13:50:09
Remember the Celtic fan in video from a couple of years ago who was holed up in his flat threatening to do all sorts.
Police asked him what he wanted and he replied - " I want a bag of cans and Brendan Rodgers back"! 🤣
His mum then tried to intervene and he told her " to get up the road, it's nothing to do with you"! 🤣.

18 Dec 2020 22:57:53
Haha that’s right forgot all about that.
That was funny 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Review Of The Day 18th December 2020

18 Dec 2020 07:39:03
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 18th December 2020

18 Dec 2020 00:16:45
Guys, please be easier on Ianis Hagi. I hope he does not read the papers in his home country, every local football "expert" is ramming him, some calling for him to quit the game. I know he is measured against his father; so far he did not show the same talent and personality in the game, but the guy has vision, can give a pass that nobody sees, has precise kicks; it is true, he could be faster, he could be stronger, but these will come with perseverance, one is not born with them. He is a decent kid, dedicated and willing to learn. He has shown you moments of football brilliance. He needs support, he needs confidence. And remember, he is alone not only in a new country, but a different culture, during a world C.V.. Give him your support and he will repay you!
PS:
I loved how Kent, Goldson, and Roofe jumped in for him what he was pushed in the net after the equalizer vs St Mirren.

18 Dec 2020 07:35:14
Totally agree soccerfan👍Way too often a minority of our supporters on here and in general right players off far too quick, without giving them time to settle. I have a good bit of experience of seeing that over the years and players have eventually showed their true form after about a season or so 🤔I've stated many times, young hagi is a talented/ technical good footballer with a killer pass 👌The only thing young hagi lacks is pace, but playing in the old fashioned no.10 role, he would get away with that! That's hagi's best position for me 👍With the rigours of the scottish game,
some players do need more time to adjust and settle into the way of the scottish league!

18 Dec 2020 07:54:57
I'm of the firm opinion that harsh environments create strong characters, life isn't a therapy session! . Hagi will be judged on his peformances and so far has shown glimpses of real class in his time here that isn't up for debate, consistently will come with experience. He should follow the supporters example and ignore the newspapers usual shiote, journalists who couldn't kick their own erse and who make a living by creating headlines that the naive swallow up as gospel!
There hasn't been much criticism of hagi on here and at the same time there hasn't been much praise, Hagi is the only person that can change that!

18 Dec 2020 08:06:28
A lot of players who carry there superstar fathers names on the backs of their tops I think from a very early age believe it’s just a matter of time before there superstars also. Some of them struggle with the rejection of not playing every week. Hagi has clear ability and I think the Scottish game will be good for him once he breaks into the team. He just needs to get the head down and work hard, his chances will come.
Although I agree, his physicality needs to improve and it will, he will never get faster. Just like Helander (who is miles slower) pace cannot be taught unfortunately. He’s one that I think if he’s still here, will kick on next season.

18 Dec 2020 09:26:13
SGL, you're spot on there, Ally McCoist would never have got the chance he got without getting slaughtered in his first two seasons, and look how he turned out, the lad just needs to get in the Gym and beef up a bit, as he has a good football brain.

18 Dec 2020 09:47:55
How hard must it be for the lad living in the shadow of his dad?
Has there ever been a footballer who has achieved the heights, or even came close to the heights, their famous footballing dads did? I can't think of one.
I'm not talking all professional footballing fathers and sons, I'm talking about the true world class players like Hagi, cruyff, zidane etc.

18 Dec 2020 09:59:19
I agree bmg

But what’s the reason? Is it maybe that the fathers have paved the way for there sons to a point and it’s maybe been easier for them? Whereas the fathers had to really work for it.?

One thing I’ll say for Hagi and the lad weah that was at Celtic. They both seem humble.

Maybe in hagis case he could do we a bit what Alfie has?

18 Dec 2020 10:06:52
Mark hately was the same but i don’t think hagi will make it in Scotland we don’t play the game to suit him unfortunately and he has already had a few clubs and he is still young.

18 Dec 2020 11:08:39
The biggest problem for most of the is that everyone sees their name and expects them to be as good. Hagi Sr was an incredibly good player and carried the Romanian team of the 90s. Hagi Jr wouldn't be criticised (by the Romanians, not us) if he had a different name. There's nothing he can do about except try his best.

P. S. Maldini managed to eclipse his father's playing career. Thiago hasn't done too badly in comparison to his old boy.
