Naismith wants to come back to Scotland but is he no injury prone would offer him 1 year rolling contract also think he's getting on a bit 31 thaughts people.

18 Dec 2017 23:15:56
Murphy, Cummings and Naismith on loan in January?

18 Dec 2017 20:53:59
John fleck? Anyone think he would come back? Playing pretty consistently for Sheffield united this season.

18 Dec 2017 22:03:21
I doubted it earlier in the season when someone else mentioned on here but since then I've watched him play a few times and this is a boy now fulfilling his potential and I'd take him back and anyone who disagrees needs to watch the way he is playing nowadays a big difference from the boy that played for us years ago

18 Dec 2017 22:03:34
Would cost too much

19 Dec 2017 02:17:15
Hopefully not he couldn't cut it at Rangers before, can't see any difference now, it takes a person with the right mentality to make it at Ibrox, and not just a good player.

19 Dec 2017 05:39:52
Wt mkes u think he would want to come bk mate lol?

19 Dec 2017 05:48:27
I said fleck months ago. Mate he couldn't cut it when we had tge best players in scotland now he would be one of the best. Are you forgetting the position rangers are in?

19 Dec 2017 08:12:20
Alex1972 have you seen him play this season, he was a wee boy when last in our team and I could understand the problem if it was him himself that was hyping up his talent in the press as scotlands Wayne Rooney. He went away got rid of the hype and forged a career for himself, give him a chance

19 Dec 2017 09:24:09
Fleck has matured into a very good player at championship level and he would definitely improve our midfield

18 dec 2017 18:54:34
i feel so bad for graeme murty its unbeleivable what this guy is having to endure.

i feel with a good group of players he could be a good manager for us. the players at are there are simply not good enough. and the ones that are doing well are only the best of a bad lot.

the only players who are good enough to wear the jersey and know what it take to wear the jersey are :

mccrorie
miller (although he is past it)
jack

other than these 2 i am struggling to think of anyone.

tavernier john nemane
candeias wallace dalcio
wilson pena
windass herrera
alves bates

all need to go they simply don't have yhe quality to play for us.

sick to death of average players and an inadequate board.

clear out from top to bottom is needed again.

we have been set back another 2-3 year again after this year.

do not renew season tickets until we have clarification regarding our cluba future. its time we took a stand and stopped getting took for mugs.

18 Dec 2017 20:08:42
Say what you want about the board for performances on the park. From a business perspective they have done an extremely good job. We are not 2-3 years back, behind the scenes we are well on our way to being extremely stable.

18 Dec 2017 20:22:53
Morels is one of our best players he just can't get decent passes

18 Dec 2017 21:09:07
Der-goalie1' you don't need to renew your season ticket if you don't want to, but as always I will be there next season and the seasons after that. You say we are set back another 2 or 3 years how so? Listen I'm as frustrated, angry, embarrassed and at a loss as to how things have transpired this season but to suggest we hold back funds from our club that's still recovering from the brink is poor in my opinion. And still we follow on.

18 Dec 2017 22:48:17
Only miller and Jack? miller is way past it and jack is shite Every time he plays he messes up the shape of the side and the midfield not to mention the amount of read cards already is shocking.

19 Dec 2017 02:17:04
Sorry pal. I have 2 season tickets for myself and my son. I’ve seen Rangers win everything domestically all my life and the past 5/ 6 years have been brutal but we will follow on. Glory hunters can get a cab across the city. We are bang average and don’t have a manager and still hanging in so better times to come. You can watch the famous on kodi

19 Dec 2017 02:18:21
Ryan Jack’s discipline would be better if he appreciates what it means to play for our club, just because he’s a Rangers man, a fan, and at times a good player doesn’t mean he escapes criticism.

He has been comparable with some of the names cited as being below par and at times has performed worse.

Kenny Miller has hardly been consistent at any point this season, Caixinha is gone and surprise surprise he’s no better than the reasons we hear on here for him getting dropped.

McRorie has been excellent, a great prospect he has a bright future at Rangers. To suggest only these three know what it means to represent a club of this stature is maybe a bit daft for me, can’t imagine hearing 50,000 of your own booing you off the pitch doesn’t in some way represent the severity of not getting it right.

19 Dec 2017 02:27:52
We have been set back 2-3 years because we have brutal players that all need moved out.

Then the process of bringing new ones in AGAIN.

I wrote that last post in pure anger last week if i could change 1 pr 2 things i would and i can hold my hands up.

Morelos - great potential done brilliant for us and trys his heart out.

Regarding the board fair enough they invested but their initial investment into Pedro shouldn't have happened in the first place. They have dealt with the new manager situation like a junior team committee.

As for season ticket renewal I said that out of anger in all honesty lads. Weve all went and supported the club through the worst period in history why quit now. Although i will add i think the board know that no matter what we will all buy season tickets. That was my point.

19 Dec 2017 05:50:19
It annoys me when folk say set back, we are at the stages of trying to build a team failure after failure you can't go back on that.

19 Dec 2017 05:59:19
I can understand your frustration der-goalie1!I have followed rangers everywhere, for the best part of 42 years now, just like a helluva lot of our loyal supporters, out there! I will always go to see the famous GR, 'till the day i'm no longer here! Shareholder, season ticket holder, merchandise buyer, everything rangers, buyer, that's me! I worship glasgow rangers! I can honestly see where your coming from, der-goalie1!Sometimes we say things out of sheer frustration, about the club we love, because we care my friend! We will always be the people! Onwards and upwards! We'll get there! We'll have our day once again!

19 Dec 2017 12:09:50
JayC1204 - “I’ve seen Rangers win everything domestically ALL MY LIFE and the past 5/ 6 years have been brutal”.

eh would that not make you the glory hunter!? Lol

18 Dec 2017 18:43:24
The best we've looked in the last few weeks was the first half against the Sheep. Just have a look at how we were set up and who was playing. We looked like we would score 7 by half time. Murts should have stuck with that team and setup it's plain to see.

18 Dec 2017 19:05:24
Starting to actually think both of those games were affected by the DM speculation. and by the fact he was very much considering it.

18 Dec 2017 19:10:47
14 points from a possible 30 at home. Scored 16, conceded 13.

But we have the best away record in the league.

These players need to suck it up and get over the pressure of performing in front of home fans. We all know the crowd starts howling at players from the 10 min mark for a slack pass, but the players need to deal with that or they should be at Rangers.

I also believe this was he reason they bottled the Motherwell semi final. 38k Gers fans at Hampden. Basically a home game. Bottled it again.

18 Dec 2017 22:09:50
you r right, the presure at home is over the top. fans can help though, cheer them on iso of getting on their backs. if u lacked confidence and your own support start booing yiu then guess what, u start hiding. and don't say they r paid for it. they r humans, and the majority weren't brought up in front of our hostile fans. don't you think the away team know that too. we would be as well supporting the visitors

18 Dec 2017 18:55:17
guys,
do you think current board respect us as fans or more importantly care about gers?
welcome your views.

18 Dec 2017 19:14:34
I think they care about Rangers, however I think they are riding on the fact they saved us from imposters and hoping that it gives them enough respect from us fans. Sadly the lack of transparency and inability to do the simple things like get in a manager have cancelled out the fact they saved us from the imposters.

18 Dec 2017 19:18:51
short answer- nope

18 Dec 2017 22:11:49
what a load of crap. would you put your hand in your pocket if u didn't care. people talk the biggest nonsense on here

18 Dec 2017 22:30:19
Of course they care about Rangers . do u want chuckles Green and his merry men back! . They've made a pigs ear of the Derek McInnes situation and they will make more mistakes but I would rather they were making them than that maniac Green.

18 Dec 2017 22:49:29
so the only two options are have green back or just let this board operate the way they are? no middle ground naw?

18 Dec 2017 23:25:02
Bring back Green preferably on 5th November he was a great guy

19 Dec 2017 05:57:35
I don't think they do, honestly I don't trust park or king, they ain't real football men they don't have a clue.

18 Dec 2017 18:10:54
Im with you 100% creambun. Pulis has never won anything, apart from a handful of games never competed in Europe, never managed a massive club, never competed to win the EPL, only relegation battles. To many nevers. He is noted for the long ball game and has been sacked plenty of times. We will be in Europe every season, we will be competing to win every competition and game. We need a manger that can prepare a team to win every game and settle for nothing less, not a baton down the hatches and play the long ball in every game. (WS only done that when he had to) . We need a tried and tested manager with knowledge of the British game and experience in Europe at or near the top of a league. He must know how to beat diddy teams and cope with top class opposition. TP is a step backward to the 70s. He will come up here like Warburton and underestimate the SPL and bring in second rate expensive English players. We need a manger that can identify under the radar players throughout Europe. The players are out there. Proude Homme all day long for me. I've copied and pasted from Wikipedia, look at the guys achievements as a player and manager, compare that to TPs achievements.

18 Dec 2017 21:17:54
my worry about Pul is is he maybe think ourleague is easy and make the same mistake as Warberton and Souness in his early years when he thought that guys from England's lower leagues would be good enough to challenge the Tic only to find that better players were needed Pul is doesn't know the Scottish game

18 Dec 2017 22:55:11
Souness first 3 signings were Colin West (a relatively unknown centre forward), Chris Woods the England goalkeeper and terry butcher the England captain. Graham Roberts joined shortly after. Souness also won the league in his first full season. I wish we had someone making those kind of mistakes at the club again.

19 Dec 2017 02:09:28
Are you guys just going online and copy n pasting everything. I think Pulis would be better appointment than Macinnes anyway. I feel as we’ve no money we need to lower expectations as thought Macinnes was cheap option and even he KOd us. We desperately need cash for players also. Last two managers recruited very poorly

19 Dec 2017 02:10:24
Nothing like blowing your own trumpet proude homme, no need to go to all that trouble typing in all that, just give king a call, I don't think he's that interested, pedro, warbs, couple of pure lady's bits, and were left paying money to watch the absolute dross that they deemed worthy of wearing the shirt.

19 Dec 2017 02:12:24
TJBB Paul le Guen's record was just as, if not more, impressive. Didn't mean a thing when he came here with ten players who wouldn't have got a game for Cowdenbeath.

19 Dec 2017 02:20:50
Souness signed guys from England's lower leagues? His first signings were Colin West, the best prospect in England at the time, Chris Woods the England keeper and Terry Butcher the England captain!

19 Dec 2017 05:53:21
Was thinkin exact same thing dutycalls. Loads succesful managers have moved clubs and then failed. I also think a lot of players n managers under estimate Scottish lges. I think that's the case with bruno tbh. He prob thought he could stroll it but turns out tht Chris Miller fae St Johnstone tore him a new hole at the weekend lol.

18 Dec 2017 13:41:24
I think we should try and sign dec john and play him in front of Wallace when fit.

18 Dec 2017 13:24:02
Pulis will be waiting for the next xmas premier league casualty where he will be given a bonus of millions for keeping a team in the prem.

18 Dec 2017 14:14:35
Mark Hughes could be next to go

18 Dec 2017 17:27:45
Hense the reason we should sign pulls the noo but tell him to start in newyear

18 Dec 2017 20:13:52
Who's to say there isn't already something sorted and the board are doing the right thing and stopping the parasites in the press from posting about it.

18 Dec 2017 08:42:56
Despite our indifferent form we are still within 5 points of Septic though they have a game in hand. The Sheep are only 2 points behind them. They aren't as good as they think they are and I've said that all along. If we'd put the games against Hamilton, Dundee and St. Johnstone to bed (with all respect to them) we'd be 4 points clear at the top. I don't understand how we can turn in performances good enough to beat Aberdeen (twice) and Hibs then lose these games. Something isn't right and it ain't Murty's fault.

18 Dec 2017 09:29:33
Aberdeens minds were elsewhere when we played them and to say we out in a good performance against hibs is laughable. We stole the points from that hibs game.

18 Dec 2017 09:35:04
Surely the lads must be looking at the league table and thinking hang on a minute we are not playing to our best yet we are still in touch with top spot. That's got to be motivation to lift your game

18 Dec 2017 09:36:36
It’s quite simple really too many poor players in the squad. Alves looks disinterested. Pena, Herrera and Candeias have been woeful and Holt isn’t good enough if you expect to challenge for the league. We also lack creativity in the midfield, are too easy to score against and have only 1 striker who scores and even he went through a long lean spell recently. In short Pedro was an unmitigated disaster and whoever sanctioned his move from the board should have followed him out the door. Murty is doing his best and seems to be the only one who talks any sense. The Rangers board are a disgrace and aren’t fit for purpose

18 Dec 2017 10:07:09
One glimmer of hope is the form of the young players brought in. McCrorie, Wilson, Bates, Barjonas all look good but they can't be expected to carry the burden of a mediocre team. Morelos is clearly a natural goalscorer but can't do it all on his own. I do think Holt has been very good recently but probably not quite the class we need. Windass blows hot and cold and Miller is finished, physically. We might finish 2nd this season, but more realistically 3rd. The Board need to put up or sell up and do so quickly. They have neither the money nor the vision to dig us out of this hole.

18 Dec 2017 10:23:30
Excellent post. There's a very interesting article in today's Evening Times and it makes for difficult reading. It references the average player ability we have and raises big question marks about some of Pedro's signings, things we talk about here. Says Herrera's on 20K a week and one of the highest earners in the league. Makes you wonder.

18 Dec 2017 11:13:31
As far as I can see just now it pretty simple, our team are just not mentally tough enough. They cannot cope with the expectation that comes with playing the so called 'lesser teams' at home. All the training in the world won't fix this, the players simply are not individually or collectively of strong enough mind to wear the Rangers shirt and carry the weight of expectation that comes with it. As for Saturday, only Declan John and young McCrorie got near to pass marks. Fotheringham does not command his box, Tavernier was as poor a RB as I have seen on Saturday, Holt is all effort but little quality etc, etc. Need yet another re-build I'm afraid

18 Dec 2017 13:43:12
We need an attacking midfielder with a bit of pace.

18 Dec 2017 19:39:35
i have thought it was a bottle issue in the past, more i think about it though i would need to agree with Brian and say its ability that's the main issue. Our starting eleven has players signed on free from the likes of Wigan, Swindon, Accrington, Hearts, Aberdeen. Are we really surprised that they can't perform regularly? We point to the budget we have but that's more the fact its grossly mismanaged and boys are earning way above their value, rather than a true indication of quality

18 Dec 2017 21:44:53
Doiger you are definitely winner of the most pointless post of the year, the old if we had won this or that game scenario.
Don't you know Aberdeen fans are saying the same thing, or Thistle fans saying if we hadn't lost last 10 games blah blah, total and utter nonsense.
If I had posted If only PSG never scored 7 on the Celtic page we would a won 1-0 u would be giving pelters for something like that and its exactly the same.
What you need to do is grow a pair and call your team as it is and stop deluding yourself (i know u can't help it) .
Maybe Celtic aren't a great team but we are good in Scotland and decent in Europe, whilst you are decent in Scotland and a non entitiy in Europe.
Its amazing how you are such a good judge of celtic but no idea when judging your own team.

18 Dec 2017 03:19:22
I know it's the done thing this weekend to blame Bruno Alves for the whole teams guff performance, but let's talk about that second goal vs St Johnstone.

Tavs needs to be closing down the man on the wing, he already gave him way to much space before he got the ball, then when he got the ball, Tav decided to give him yard and however much time he likes to decide what he wanted to do with the ball.

Anyways, he whips the ball in so it's a fairly simple ball in, should be dealt with. Wilson has nae clue where his man is and hence why he doesn't even jump for the ball. Hee haw to do with Alves, neither was any of the other goals. Still doesn't excuse what he did with the ball when in possession. Just saying defensively Wilson was caught sleeping.

18 Dec 2017 11:22:07
Agree bearmode. Wilson didn't have a clue where his man was. I feel some of our support pick a player out and blame him for everything that goes wrong. Pena got it large now he's not playing Alves is copping it. One player doesn't win or lose you games. I agree Alves isn't playing well but he wasn't alone out there on Saturday.

18 Dec 2017 13:52:55
That’s it mate. The abuse Fods is getting aswell. After he basically secured us 3 points be Hibs a few days before. Unbelievably fickle.

18 Dec 2017 19:26:34
I agree Bear, i'm a Tav fan but he's got to b closer to the guy ctossong the ball. the biggest percentage of goals come from crosses so you’ve got to be doing everything to prevent them (wilson didn't cover himself in glory either)

18 Dec 2017 03:00:56
Out of the 14 clubs Tony Pulis has managed this is his win ratio
43.52
41.38
36.64
35.88
31.43
30.77
30.30
29.29
28.97

I can’t speak for everyone but as far as I can see it’s just not good enough and he’s not the man for the job and it’ll just show all the more that the board don’t know what they are doing and the sad thing is it won’t change until someone’s in place that actually has some savvy in spoting the right people for the job

18 Dec 2017 04:51:16
It’s not the full 14 but you get the idea

18 Dec 2017 05:52:59
How can u even look at this mans win percentage and say he’s not good enough His win percentage isn’t that of what we want at rangers but obviously his win percentage in a pish poor Scottish league would be better than the challenge he faced in England he has made small clubs that would be stuck in relegation battles very much safe EPL teams all be it that he plays physical old school tactics the kind of tactics I feel we could go for a cheap option and play the same way with big eck but maybe Tony Pulis could attract a better callibre of player and has a better eye for a player . If he is appointed I’d expect the board to back him with funds straight away .

18 Dec 2017 07:01:11
Spot on joerfc! Tony pulis has been manager of mostly teams fighting relegation in england! For the record he's kept all of them up! You can't say pulis is not a good manager because his win rate at smaller relegation fighting clubs, is lower than that of managers with bigger clubs at the top end of the table! Some folk just don't think logically! Tony pulis would be a superb appointment as our new manager, if we could get him! For the record if we did get him, his win ratio with us, in this league would easily be in the 60% and above bracket!

18 Dec 2017 15:41:20
Like I said I can’t speak for everyone it’s just my opinion and super cooper saying some people don’t think logical and referring to myself is a bit personal so pull it in a bit mate

18 Dec 2017 19:28:13
I agree joel, managing teams at the bottom of the barrell in the epl is all abt survival, up here he’d be the top dog

18 Dec 2017 19:29:15
Your right, it’s “Not good enough” for our mighty club as we’re challenging for the champions league every year and our league is the jewel in the crown of world football. I’m sure the board can sway Pep away from little Man City though.

18 Dec 2017 22:33:20
Cream bun, don't go in the cream puff here mate! Man up and take it on the chin what i'm saying for god's sake!

18 Dec 2017 23:16:43
What’s you problem mate don’t be so cheeky ok my opinion is as valid as anyone’s and if someone like yourself wants to be out of order with his words then expect it back otherwise don’t comment. sort yourself out
