Just a thought, as we r looking for a midfielder, we actually need 2, how about Alejandro Bedoya, ok he wasn't great b4 but he had a good World Cup and I genuinely feel he never got much chance the last time anyway, or can we only get free transfers these days, that is still the policy it seems.

Bigcol1872, we may have the best youth academy in Scotland, but a club needs to have accomplished coaches to entice the talent and character out of young players. We also need a scout.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Johns I've been saying that on here for ages. for me I would pay great youth coaches the 800,000 a year and give ally a couple of quid a week. pssst tell someone in at Murray park this.

yet again the uof not happy bout Ashley getting involved who do they want the board to get money from its getting embarrassing I do not like the board and they will not get a penny of my money Ashley on other hand is a business man and would run our club so we at least break even not everyone cup tea but so what if ibrox gets renamed I will always no it as ibrox as long as we get a good deal wouldn't have problem with it

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think Ashley as out and out owner would certainly be better than the status quo. I do not see that happening, unfortunately. Too many people are getting their cut and happy to take it out of the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

The uof are a total joke going by their latest statement in their eyes there's clearly only one man for the job and that's dk and it really starting to look like their willing to damage/hamper the club until they get their way I really don't see what the big issue is about renaming the stadium it will always be ibrox to the people that really care

Most of you know I support the UOF's positon on a lot of things, but the latest statement does not speak for me. I welcome Ashley's money, he has a proven track record. Some say he was Green's crony. Mike Ashley is nobody's crony, Mike Ashley could buy Charles Green a million times over. I welcome Mike Ashleys investment and hope he does step away from Newcastle and their ungrateful fan base and takes a controlling stake. Mike Ashley has never deprived NUFC of funds he has spent our on players and manager. Come and get us Mike end this nightmare.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why does the daily rag give this guy Graham so many column inches in its excuse for a newspaper and always under the big headline “RANGERS FANS SAY”

The last time I looked he was leading about 500 down paisley road west, hardly a majority, so how is he a spokesman for “Rangers Fans”

He constantly spouts that we need investment then criticises any individual or group who steps forward to put money into the club, that’s the way to attract other investors?, why does he not bring someone to the table?

Are Ashley & green not connected?

Agree0 Disagree0

Mcc - aye they are

Ashley is greens puppet same as every other businessman that's involved wi rangers he got millions of penny shares and is taking millions out of the club

(That's a sarcastic reply to a stupid question but I couldn't hold it back)

I think u.o.f worries are if ashley has a major control at Ibrox & st james park how it would stand with sfa & uefa on ruling of twin ownership as according to a newspaper u.o.f asked sfa about this & they refused to comment .

Mac the knife I think it was charlieboy that brought ashley to the club at the start of our troubles

Agree0 Disagree0

JG, good posts and sometimes the need to be sarcastic is necessary.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jg not like you being sarcastic with the truth eh have you got rid of charlieboys shares yet

Agree0 Disagree0

Jg was that you that put up post about penny shares on the financial page I think it was on the 17th

Agree0 Disagree0

Tmwnn (tn) that was such a daft question I couldn't help masel, and FYI Charlie managed to punt his own shares nae problem, it's all there in black and white.
Charlie has left the building mate, get over it, don't think we we see him back having any control over the club,
it just might be in 20 yr time, when all us shortsighted grumpy auld bears have departed, the young bears of the future will look back at our history and see his consortium as the guys who kept the rangers alive through our darkest days

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

Tmwtn - yes, I replied to a post by Mullad who still does not understand that the shares in RIFC are called 1p Ordinary shares

He still thinks that's the price that greens original investors them

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

Jg maybe the young bears 20 years from now will be saying ahh charlieboy the guy that helped hiself and his friends to 70 million pound of our money cause that's what most of us older more mature bears have been saying for the last three years but hey what's 70 million between friends eh

cant help wondering - do we have fans that will NEVER be happy no matter what goes on? now the naming rights may be up for debate again. Unless I am mistaken, all the clubs in England who allowed their grounds to be "named" are all flourishing, so what irks our fanbase so much? If it puts cash in the kitty, who cares, as long as Ibrox is part of the new name.
We are talking abour long term survival here, not short term dummy throwing.

Call it what the want, I will still be going to Ibrox to watch the football and if it brings in cash then so be it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree wee bill. Personally I couldn't care what the stadium is called. I'll always know it as Ibrox.

Gentlemen --- a thought for the day just to cheer things up a wee bittie.

You are probably all aware that our Ladies have just thumped Falkirk 22-0 in a Scottish Cup match.

What are the possibilities of getting our Lassies transferred into our Championship team before the transfer window closes.

I long for the day when I can shout to some members of the present team --- " WELL DONE SON YOU'RE PLAYING LIKE A BIG LASSIE"

Couldn't agree more. Although I agree with a lot of what the UoF stand for this is not one of them. I also have no issue with Ashley increasing his stake if it brings leadership and stability to our club. It sometimes seems to me that UoF are only open to a Dave King solution and nothing else - Worrying times ahead.

Agree0 Disagree0

If the guy is willing to put his money into the club, good luck to him. the door is open for anybody to put money in, and were not in a position to knock back anybody. we've heard lots of people talk the talk, but didn't walk the walk in recent years. it will always be ibrox to the fans!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Wee Bill - totally agree if Premiership Teams do it why not.
If we need to rename the stadium incorporate Ibrox into it to keep everybody happy.
WE NEED TO MOVE FORWARD.

I am as worried as the next rangers fan but I feel this infighting between the fans and the board is only hampering on the the whole football club.

I know I didn't like administration and then liquidation I know I certainly didn't like playing in league two nor league one. We are the biggest club in Scotland and one if the biggest clubs in British and we deserve to playing at the top level.

I am not saying we just forget wgat going on with this board but I feel it's time now to get behind the board and the team and start showing why WE don't DO WALKING AWAY and get behind the team.

I also feel we are trying to do something that will not happen we are trying to force our guy who have pumped there own money in and in the end saved the club because I know no one on hear would have like rangers going bust.

I can understand this might cause so discussion but as a rangers fan I just want the best for the club on And off the pitch.

Also with regards to hearts and hubs playing as they do this early everyone know hearts and hibs are bottle merchants they start well but will fall apart and I still think we will have enough to win this thing and get back to where we belong

Let's go rangers

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Good post bigchris - we need solidarity, not umpteen fan groups running around like headless chickens, get behind the team, the board, the club and get us back where we belong.
Its a tough slog and we need to fight TOGETHER

After watching the hearts hibs game yesterday. I can't see anyone stopping hearts. Both teams still looked like premiership teams. We have a long way to go.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hearts and hibs still look like premiership teams?? Hearts were unlucky to go down and hibs were a joke last season. We have enough quality to win this league Hearts and hibs look ok but I don't understand why your saying the look unstopable. They are not world beaters

First time post - McCoist has driven this Luddite to this extreme. How much will it cost to pay off McCoist? Club is losing money by keeping him. If he was not the manager I would have renewed my season ticket. 40000 were at the hearts game making it 20000 who paid for the game out with the 20000 ST holders. Will be interesting to see how many will be at the DUmbarton game. For every 1000 fans chased away by McCOists ineptitude as a manager it costs the club approx £20,000 every game

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You really have to make up your mind then. If you are more of an Ally hater than a Rangers Supporter then you don't deserve to be near Ibrox.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree. if you hate the manager more than you love rangers your not wanted at ibrox

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont think BIFF an ALLY HATER I have supported gers for over 60 years ALLY was a great player but sorry not all good players make good managers for rangers good he should step down team is probalbly worst in rangers history and SUPER ALLY should step down

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you joking?? your not going to ibrox because you don't like the manager (who is a legend) like the guys said in the previous posts if that's really your thoughts then you don't deserve to be anywere near ibrox.
