McCoist weary of unbeaten run threat!

"we've got 4 tough matches left against teams that have everything to play for" he said.

Ffs surely preparing for next season is more important than going unbeaten in a part time league.

I've defended mccoist before but no more.

Unfortunately SG75 our manager lives in another planet. It is long overdue that he earned his extremely large salary. He must be set a fixed wage budget for the squad, say 10% less than this year. Then he would have to earn his corn. New signings and renewed contracts might be out of the question but he must be forced into realising where we are. He has been a lucky manager because his wage budget far outweighs any competition, and even with a 10%
cut, our squad would be the most expensive in the championship by far.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gd on mccoist keeping the unbeaten run going, playing a team full of youths for 4 games, will not be on the record books but going a season unbeaten in the league will be

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Johncass, it will be a tainted record i, m afraid.
We spent millions winning it. and got into debt again. what did the others spend?get the youths on,, FGS

Agree0 Disagree0

Johncass, I would rather see a long term future for our club and not pander to a self-centred, hopeless manager. Obviously, you are quite happy to win a few games with overpaid players rather than give a few lads the chance to see if they have what it takes.

Agree0 Disagree0

SG75 if preparing for next season was ever a priority he would not have signed a squad of aging nobodies that can't step up but played youngsters like he always lies about. This "major achievement" has come at a massive cost to Rangers and yet again shows the stomach churning McCoist in his true light.

Agree0 Disagree0

It is just laughable that McCoist sees this as success, personally he should be ashamed about the points dropped so far this season given the cost of his squad and the wage bill compared to the rest of the league and should have walked following the total embarrassment of the Albion Rovers game. The man has absolutely no credibility whatsoever.

Agree0 Disagree0

Only in the dull world of Super Ally is this any sort of achievement. To heck with the future of the club as long as I get through the league campaign unbeaten - an absolute disgrace.

Giles Rousset the big French goalkeeper tipping Hearts to take the championship next season. If McCoist is still manager he might well be correct.

Agree0 Disagree0

@6 Blue Velvet- you are correct it shows the man's lack of class. Paul Le-Guen far from my favourite manager walked to save the club money when it wasn't working out. So come on Ally do the decent thing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe ally is getting a 100percent bonus if they go undefeated this season there must be a method in his madness to achieve such a feat

Agree0 Disagree0

Listen mccoist is in it to win it, if he was a few defeats into the season, he wo would get pesters Fs, so good on him getting as many wins as he can

Agree0 Disagree0

Mcoist is in it,, for himself. and only himself. His ego needs this stupid record? in his head it actually makes him look like he is a master tactician a world beating manager a RECORD BREAKER.
What should be in that tiny peaof a brain is logical thoughts like,, god why are they wasting so much money on my wages/
why am I signing players in a part time league on such high wages?
How do I train/make a team of youngsters to play in the top league.
How can I not stop my mouth from speaking drivel.
How can I stop backing every CEO who comes in.
How can I stop being a total ass. etc etc

Agree0 Disagree0

@10) McCoist is in it for MCCOIST no one or nothing else, we've had 3 years of lies, deceit and utter tentpegs to prove it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Billyb/ sg75 I think it will need to be a bit more than a 10% overall reduction. I also think the fans are serious about paying ST money into a trust fund and the current board will then either put us into admin again or will negotiate. Whoever is in charge should realise Auchenhowie MUST produce youngsters to save our club and also must see Alastair McCoist is not the manager to give youth it's chance.
These changes to the board and management/ playing side are required but whether they will happen only time will tell. It won't be long before we find out on the board- changes/status quo because we are probably just about out of money at the moment and if the ST money doesn't start flowing into the club then structural change to governance will happen.
Giles Rousset on suggesting Hearts will beat us to the championship and if McCoist is in charge I wouldn't argue with his opinion. Might be one for a poll in the future ED?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed039's Note - I will put it up soon NB)

What makes you think hearts will be challenging in the championship?

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree Nbear, but we have the predicament of existing contracts. Personally I would get shot of about 1/3rd of the squad, but that is not practical. The only way we can progress is to cut back from the existing. e. g. No contracts renewed and only replacements when players are shipped out. Unfortunately our biggest obstacle is A. McC.
tmwnn @ 9] makes a very reasonable observation, which if true, would make us a bigger joke than we are at present.
Re your proposed poll, I'll be voting with you.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are we actually asking as to why mccoist would want to go a season unbeaten? There has to be a method in the madness of wanting to stay unbeaten? Really?

Agree0 Disagree0

Johncass, I really hope your taking the hiss. @14. Their YOUTH policy appears to be working. Take that with our current set up and it is a no contest.
@16, if their is method in the madness it must be to benefit McCoist as not utilising this period to try things out is a joke.

Agree0 Disagree0

Their youth policy seems to be working, were is the proof of that? They are forced to play there youths, but it is working?, again you are assuming mccoist has an agenda for wanting to go the season unbeaten in the league, explain please?

Agree0 Disagree0

To 18] Hearts squad of mainly young players with a wage budget of less than £2m. has performed well in the latter part of this season. With this year's experience and bolstered by a proposed additional £1m. , they are much better prepared than us.
Re McCoist, I wouldn't bet against tmwnn's comment about there being money in it for him if we go unbeaten.
There are just no benefits for next season's plans, unless it's more of the same.

Agree0 Disagree0

Billyb I agree with your post at n1 this should have been set out from we were in 4th tear eh

Agree0 Disagree0

Johncass I first mentioned the method in madness thing and if he doesn't have method in his madness why with league won did he not give youngstars game time saving the first team for finals and semi finals of cup games my assumption is he wants to go undefeated for his own ego ffs I wonder if his ego will remind him it was achieved against bus drivers bin men unemployed cleaners and the likes

Agree0 Disagree0

@ billyb and tmwnn do you remember when the kids were three and logical discussions were not too easy. Well some posters take me back all these years.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nbear aye they were the days when yae could tell them anything and they believed yae a bit like some folk I know funny how somethings never change eh lol

Agree0 Disagree0

He wants to go undefeated in the league because that's the aim not to lose games is it not? Because he's doing it against part time players, should we blame him for still wanting to do it? Yous 2 haven't got a logical discussion between yous!

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that right mr einstein lol lol lol

We hear we need to strengthen the team but have no money to do so.

Rumours run amok of this player from St Mirren, this player from Motherwell, even ex Rangers ones. let's strengthen from our youth team and start tomorrow, forget the legendary status of being unbeaten throughout a season in a lower league and look to the future and the bigger picture.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agreed

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on OP, couldn't agree more. Unfortunately this is not on ally's agenda. His priority is blatantly obvious.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't get it, I want Rangers to win EVERY game for example I'm going to the game today and want to see another victory the best case senario would be to go 3 or 4 goals up the bring some of the youngsters on but win the game first, losing at stenny should not be an option under any circumstances.

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 you're also spot on Blue Velvet, McCoist must go for youth to get a chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

@3 JYF here is a team that would have won at Stenny but would also have seen the cost to our club greatly reduced and with a decent average age.
Gallacher, McAusland, Gasparatto, McCulloch, Wallace, MacKay, Law, Aird, Gallacher, Hemmings and Daly.
Cannot happen because Hemmings has moved on and the right back and right midfielder are out on loan- exactly and that is down to the manager. We have no money and need / needed a manager to manage on little to no money.

Agree0 Disagree0

How do you know that team would have won? I've said it before but I never particularly fancied hemmings when he was with us and I feel that he was given a fair chance to shine and didn't but perhaps he has now matured and IS ready for the top flight but that is no ones fault.

Here we are again coming to the close season and still we are no forward futher tha we were at the start of this saga, we have King, Gough, all the supposed Fans groups asking the board for clarification on this this that or the other. And yet again John Brown pops up with his I know somthing but iI not telling you party piece. John tell us what you know or think you know or forever hold your piece.

It's at times like these that I absolutely despair.

Ally's nonsense about massive achievements.

Wallace and this 120 day review that looks like extending past 120 days. I wonder why?

Dave King and the UoFs and the daft idea that the board will be forced to guarantee security of assets in exchange for them continuing to buy season tickets.

And now a significant nimber of bears pining for the return of SDM, the man duped by Craig Whyte and who awarded himself a £6 million EBT 'loan' and whose MIH recently announced they couldn't even meet their employee's pension entitlements.

Agree0 Disagree0

Naz I share your despair, 4 pints of Clarkston Bud bartender please!

Agree0 Disagree0

Nbear2, pmsl!

Agree0 Disagree0

L. S we are in that much caoch if we didn't laugh we would go mad.

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 unfortunetly you share your despair with anyone who will listen and on every single post you put up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont listen or don't read and you will be a happy little camper with your unbeaten run in the third tier of Scottish football. Some people are easily pleased- get a grip

Agree0 Disagree0

@6 you want us to lose games?
