Great performance and result today. Hopefully McInnes was watching that today because Gerrard showed everyone exactly how to play Celtic. He completely nullified the threat from the flanks this afternoon and forces them into passing it sideways most the game - their whole team looked lost.

Watching sportscene last night you get so caught up in the game u don't realise our tactics at the time. But McCann summed it up. Borna and Tav were actually sitting deeper and playing it in behind rather than bombing up and down. Well done the gaffer. Also aberdeen will sit back 10 men behind ball as usual.

The Mankies are bang average, with over hyped players . They were all over the place due to the Famous tactics. They will hide behind the players missing, but they would not have made much a difference I feel, Rangers didn’t get out of second gear, we know that we can play much better. As for the sheep they will fold like usual, up to us to keep winning as we can beat the mankies when it comes round to them as we saw yesterday.

They played with a high pressing back 8 and Goldson found a way through felt Morelos was great in the link up play but didn't get a chance to be a striker against them but the way we played around that back 8 was beautiful.

Arfield was a lot deeper as well, he wasn't support morelos or making the darting runs in behind as much. the idea was clearly to pack the midfield, close the wings and have kent barker one v one against one of their back 3. They had no idea how to play us. 👍.

Rangers playing different than last season one not relying on Morelos! He’s coming deeper and linking more and we play better than always looking for him to bail us out. Pulls defenders all over the place. Yeah he’s a wild card but he is definitely some player. Regret wishing him gone because he’s definitely got that something special that al the top players have! I. e Suarez! Lunatic but wins games and hopefully in Alfie’s case leagues. give the boy a break he’s still young and by far our best striker.

Its called tactics lads, Barker played because of his pace and with his free roll up front kept them sitting deeper than they would have wanted to and Morelos is Morelos, would Itten really have led the line as well as Alfredo did? It was a fantastic effort from everyone yesterday from Gerrard to our last sub Aribo.
Not a single player in our team "needs gone" have a look at yourself 6counties.

The lack of football knowledge on here is shocking at times.
So called experts running our manager out the door one week but cannot see tweaks to formations or recognise different tactics.
442, striker must be in the box, full backs that stay back and defend - the world has moved on from the 1970’s, time to catch up.
Just read that this is the first time we have beaten them at theirs back to back since glory days of WS. Not bad for a rookie manager who never learns, picks the wrong players and will never win the league!

I agree DK. I also hate when people try and prove how good some of our players are by running the others down. I agree for example the midfield were excellent but do not agree for example adding Jack in from the start would have weakened us at all. I think SG has built a strong squad who can compete on various fronts and we should not be constantly running down any of them.

A few weeks back when there were rumours of teams sniffing about Kamara for 10 million I got in a ‘debate’ with someone on here who was adamant that he was worth no more than 2 million and that we should take 2 for him as he wasn’t any good! 😂😂 I can't unfortunately remember who it was. I wonder if they read this will they be man enough to admit how very very wrong they were and that they really know very little about football🤔?

how highly i rated glen kamara! He's a tremendous midfielder and for 50k unbelievable business 👌When the kamara bashers were on here when he did lose a bit of form giving him a roasting and wanting him out the door for peanuts 🥜, i did say then on here that form was temporary,
class is permanent! I've always known which one kamara is 👍A certain number of our supporters on here are far too quick to castigate players and want rid of them, when a player is only going through what all players from time to time go through
a loss of form. Football is never only black or white, as there's many contributing factors Inbetween!

He cost 50k and he's such an integral part in how we played he was all over the middle and the right of that pitch always making himself available and limking up play so we never lossed possession high up the pitch.

Delighted with performance today. Also looking at the bigger picture we have 5/ 6 players that will have great sell on down the line. Aribo, katic, borna, kent, hagi, kamara, roofe, itten and finally alfredo. I'd happy say down the line we will get great money in from them and then get the next batch in.
If you look at previous players we were getting nothing value wise. Gerrard has built a team that can be sold for millions down the line. Football is a business at the end of the day.
I know trophies have not happened under Gerrard YET but he had a lot of work to do to built the squad let alone get us winning and playing well.
I feel the club as a whole is getting better and the Europe money keeps coming in.
Enjoy the victory in battle but the war has just started.
As the Gaffer says Let's go.

The worst player in the team today was the striker (as per usual) . Awful positional sense and composure. Total passenger unfortunately, rest of the team were outstanding. Should really have been sold, left with a disinterested player.

Bankie during the game I also thought Barker did he haw but also watched the highlights on that sh*t channel and when you actually seen the breakdown of play the front three did very very well hence the top three passers of celtic were their defence.

I think we see on TV certain aspects of the game but once highlights are showed we see the true reflection of players. Not being able to be at the game and comment is massive just now and even though I’m not his biggest fan the highlights breakdown the intricacy of the game.

Actually thought Morelos was good today, his link up play was great and was involved in the second goal. Insider info he didn’t really have any service today, I thought he did well to get involved in the game.
Agree thought that he isn’t as good as he was last year when he was bullying defenders although it was good to see him get in about Duffy - hopefully he gets back to his old self now the transfer window has closed.

Agree Zikos, I thought his link up play was pretty good however after 35 mins you could see his fuse was lit and should have been taken off at half time.
In big games like these when he loses the mental battle he is a liability to the team with all the silly fouls. The slap on Brown could easily have been a red, there was also a high foot left in on Duffy not long into the 2nd half, just a matter of time before he gets a silly red and suspended again.
He knows his role has changed this season so I don't understand his frustrations on the park when he is linking up play well and running the channels. Starting to think we should have sold him when we had the chance but there is a bit of me still thinking he has a role to play.

3-10 Ffos Las tomorrow there's a horse running called Buzz, cracking trainer and good jockey.
Buzz has a big advantage as he will know every stat there is to know about the course and will know everything there is to know about the other runners and riders, he is currently 8/ 1 and IMO will win very easily. don't go to Timalie to put your bet on he had to shut down after the old firm game today.
So if you want to make a few quid tomorrow Buzz is the word.

Thought steven gerrard got his tactics/ game plan spot on today and celtic were chasing shadows. Stated on here many times that gerrard will win the league, as rangers manager and i truly think this season 👍. Gerrard's record against celtic since he became our manager is good, as he's now beaten them four times. He's most definitely improved rangers and surely to god now, every bear can see that and give credit to him where its due! We'll win the league imo, if we don't drop silly points to teams we should be beating. In gerrard we trust!

Thought Kamara was outstanding, he has really kicked on after a dip in form last year and a fair bit of stick just rolled his sleeves up and got better. Long way to go but we are on the right path. Barker was the only slight downside, wish he could produce like he obviously does in training, fingers crossed he comes good. Enjoy the rest of your evening and weekend.

Barker played like a man short today and is just not good enough. I hate having to slate the boy after such a terrific result, but he shouldn't be in the starting 11. The only period of the game I was concerned about was from the 38th minute until the half-time whistle blew as I had the fear Morelos was going to get sent off. It was just as well Grand Master Beaton was the ref today and not father Clancy or Collum. Look after your own John, you know it makes sense.

Superb result today and every player played their part. We can be picky about individual instances but let's not. let's enjoy the victory and praise every player. Stand outs for me were Kamara and Goldson. Someone posted that we played within ourselves today. I know what you mean but would put it differently. I would say we played a very professional game, dominated and were well disciplined in the way we played. Over the next few days we will hear them moan about the players they had out due to C.V.. The fact is that they basically had 2. Eduard who obviously wasn't ready but was available and Christie. Bitton and Hamed wouldn't have started. We can't get carried away though. As good as it feels just now it is only one game and we have an awful long way to go.

The pros including that huge Rangers fan Paddy Bonner can see that he has changed his game this season as we have changed our tactics.
Those who say is isn’t trying and doesn’t want to be here should look at his celebrations when we score and the reaction from the other players. Do you really think that the rest of the players would put up with the stuff some of you cause Morelos of?

Big Goldson was brilliant today (not just for the goals) . Kamara was also brilliant today and I want to give a wee shout out to wee Morelos. He pulled their back 3 out of position with his movement today which created space. I know most will disagree on the Morelos part of this post but for me his movement was immense.

It is coming together mate we’re in a very good place and have a very good squad of players now. Possibly what we were lacking past couple of seasons
Gerrard now being able to rotate players around the pitch to cover injuries etc
And it’s a good squad of players all with good ability
It’s definitely there for the taking this year just take it a game at time
Something feels like it clicked into place after that hibs match said in a post few weeks back
Was raging we drew that game and at livingstone
But something clicked after hibs game can’t explain it the week after we came out a different team and haven’t looked back

I have always said I would love Gerrard to be the man to do it

Strange game at times, Celtic very flat we need to make sure we just keep winning our games going forward this league this year is ours for the taking no doubt about it
A game at a time though not going to get ahead of myself
Kamarra had a great game Kent helander goldson (2 goals) never seen that coming lol
Alfie played well just not a lot of chances for him and tactics had him out wings a lot
Arfield too a yellow when needed and had a solid game
Davis had a few stray passes
But overall it was an easy game really we kept our shape team done what they were asked to do
No complaints apart from think we could have won with more goals today
Atleast 3 or 4 I think it should have been
Celtic played badly last year but came back stronger after we beat them
This year as I say we just need too focus on our own game win a game at a time and hopefully we will still be top end of season
Think this is our best chance to win the league in a very long time.

I would have had Jack in tbh. Mom on Wednesday. Maybe Stevie thinks he'll be tired after playing the full 90 mins. I'm concerned that they will outmuscle us in the midfield without Jack.
