Poor advert for EPL tonight . Liverpool n Man Utd was terrible to watch. Roll on Sunday. We need a result. Time for boys to play and get their revenge. 🇬🇧.

18 Oct 2016 08:11:25
Definitely worth the money Sky ploughs into it!

18 Oct 2016 14:58:12
This was anticipated, Manchester United is work in progress and they were always going to play for a draw with the hope of hitting on the break and stealing all three points.

I am all for attacking football but on Sunday I would rather see us using spoiling tactics and coming away 1 - 0, that playing all out attacking football and losing!

18 Oct 2016 23:04:25
Tomusa, can't agree with you on this one mate, apart from me disagreing with you, there's not much chance mw will change his mind on how he thinks football should be played, plus i think once the team get it right it will be brilliant to watch, everyman and his dog know the way we play, but i think mw is more or less saying"youse know hoow we play so try and stop us"cause he knows we will be hard to stop.

19 Oct 2016 15:51:18
we need a better conversion rate as we creat a lot and it turns to nothing, think once we get the final third sorted we will play teams like we did last season and say we will score more than you so try it. lol
but I don't think we are there yet saying that it has to click sometime doesn't it so why not sunday!

17 Oct 2016 19:51:07
Rangers and Celtic Joining the Atlantic League will be the only way of stopping Celtic from doing 10 in a row.

17 Oct 2016 20:32:02
how long did it take you to come up with that garbage.

18 Oct 2016 10:00:57
About a week late. Yawn.

18 Oct 2016 14:59:12
Rangers will stop ten in a row but we will need a couple of years to increase the quality of our squad!

18 Oct 2016 16:44:37
I thought it was quite funny lol.

18 Oct 2016 17:29:28
Do Celtic actually count their title's from previous 5 years?

18 Oct 2016 22:33:20
Allanrfc, they probably will, and though that's what the history books will say, it won't be what i tell my grand wanes, i will let them know, that every club bar killie wanted us to fold as they all know no other scotish club will catch up with us in regards trophies won, every body, not just football fans know our history, we have nothing to hide.

19 Oct 2016 15:53:40
people make Glasgow and we are the people.
and as the people I doubt we will let them get 8 never mind 9 or 10.

17 Oct 2016 11:23:56
After the way Niko Kranjcar played against Partick and even Inverness it would be a surprise if he wasn't in the starting 11 for the next game.

There's a chance Josh Windass might play instead. Considering how well he played against them the last time.

But it would be irritating, although not at all surprising, if MW decided to leave Kranjcar out but still start McKay and Waghorn.

Big fan of both these players but there form at the moment isn't at the level it should be for this league, let alone for a game against a team who are by far the best team in the league.

Not saying they lack quality, just that other players deserve a chance and getting 30 minutes here and there isn't a real chance.

17 Oct 2016 13:11:22
I agree Thorn. Waghorn does not have the pace or the skill to be on the right wing against them. McKay will start anyway so hopefully he turns up!

A lot of differing opinions on MOH but I still stick by what I said the last time pre match, a wild card with pace. He would for sure have space against them to work with which he needs. We where screaming out for someone like him for an out ball last game.

Kranjcar would be a risk again, it might pay off this time as he will know exactly what to expect this time and you can see he has gained some match fitness and confidence. A cheap effective tactic could be to use Kranjcar in the middles and send balls down the channel to MOH quickly. It won't happen but I would like it to. Even Dodoo instead could do the same job.

People below speculating the formation. Warburton will never change it no matter how much you will it to.

17 Oct 2016 13:54:58
Krancjar should not play from start on Sunday. Rangers need players who are up for a fight and have pace. I feel game pace will be to frantic for him. By all means bring him on later if we are needing a goal.

17 Oct 2016 14:02:34
Waghorn will start. Have no doubt about that. As will McKay. Trying to shoehorn favourites into a team is no use. Waghorn is effective as a centre forward and in a 4-3-3, there is only one central striker. Miller will play as well and deserves to.

MOH hasn't been given a real chance in the league to be fair to him and unlike a couple of the players we have starting (no matter how well they play), he's shown he can cope with the demands of this league. Leaving him out of the team could be a mistake.

Kranjcar played alongside Barton last time out. Alongside Holt and Halliday he'll be able to play the way he wants if he's on his game. No reason to think he won't be giving the last two performances.

Think the 4-3-3 formation is effective but unless we have a player in the holding role like a Rossiter or a Crooks we might not play as well.

Can't see Rossiter starting but given that MW risked Windass at Celtic park, he might have a chance.

17 Oct 2016 14:20:47
BossHogg, if he wasn't going to play, it's doubtful he would have started the last two games.

Against Partick he was man of the match. Against ICT he was one of the best players on the park.

Whether it's the right game for him is up for debate. But he has been one of our best players the last couple of games.

17 Oct 2016 15:57:00
why would we need pace? we need to create chances which is something we don't do enough of. kranjcar on the park may create something.

17 Oct 2016 16:02:50
I think he will definitely start I think he was good the last two games the thistle game being a bit boring and inver cally game was one that we should have put to bed in the first half.

if we play like that we will get beat.
I just hope everyone I ready to fight for every inch out there .

17 Oct 2016 16:12:04
Cee, we are creating chances mate, the problem being is we're not taking them!

17 Oct 2016 16:50:18
Kranjcar must start, mostly because he is the most creative player we have, together with the best footballing brain. Miller must also start with MoH up front as they are the best outlet for Krank's vision. No place for Waghorn or MacKay, with Windass, a MUST, starter.
This game cries out for a "flexible" 4-4-2, to ensure we win the middle of the park.

17 Oct 2016 18:13:16
Whether or not I think he will start, is different from do I think he should start.

Personally I would not start him as I don't think he is the best man for the job against Celtic.

People who think pace is irrelevant against Celtic are deluding themselves as Celtic have pace in abundance and if we try to play the way we normally play, I can't see it being anything but a win for Celtic.

Sinclair, Forrest, Dembele and Tierney are excellent going forward and if we leave any space in behind, these guys will punish us, make no mistake of that.

17 Oct 2016 18:27:26
I would start him but not as a midfielder I would play him as one of 'front 3' but ask him to drift around into pockets of space and let our number 9 (probably miller) get on shoulder of cb! If our 3 midfielders can do the scraping then niko can certainly find a killer pass! Other player in our front 3 (mckay) should hug the touchline and provide the width switching flanks and noth letting the fullbacks take ball out from the back!

17 Oct 2016 19:25:43
Kranjcar should start and our other midfielders need to protect him and get stuck in to them too.

Haliday and Holt for me they will both put their body on the line. Holts not the most physical of guys but he is box to box.

Id like to see windass or dodoo on the left or maybe on either wing.

Or unlikely but two up top garner and waghorn. Kranjcar behind and a midfield three play thru the middle.

18 Oct 2016 08:22:07
it must be kranjcar holt halliday in midfield, whay kind of message does it send dropping kranjcar when we is playing well?

18 Oct 2016 11:51:39
I'll tell you the message it sends out to me, 'horses for courses'!

18 Oct 2016 13:13:10
Dont think kranjcar should start on sunday he's played well lately but a think wee need plenty of pace a would go with halliday holt and windass kranjcar proved he was a liability in the last old firm getting subbed at half time need 11 men on that park on sunday a would like to see miller and garner upfront together no chance it will happen but rhink it would be a good combination.

18 Oct 2016 14:27:40
celtic hardly have a lot of pace in their midfield.

18 Oct 2016 13:36:47
Is the a injury problem with MOH he wasn't even on the bench on Friday night.

18 Oct 2016 14:46:14
Whoever starts they need to be 100% up for this game, they need to go for every ball, win every tackle and 'die for the jersey'. If even one of our players is lacking then we will struggle.

Other than Kranjcer we don't have a lot of true quality and as such I would expect him to play alongside Holt and Halliday.

My concerns still relate to our defence where I have no confidence in Hill and have worries that we will get caught for pace.

In the circumstances I might be tempted to go with two in attack and play an extra defender in a quasi sweeping role. The only question in my mind is who could do this job, could Rossiter or Crooks do this?

18 Oct 2016 16:12:20
Would like to see Rossiter with Halliday to the left Holt to the right and giv Windass the role that Wags seems to get with minimum effect if not try Dodoo but Wags needs to be benched i'd even go as far as considering a bid from Bristol City if one comes.
Question Bears if a bid did come in what would be a number that would be too good to turn down? can't remember the sum we paid exactly and I don't think it will be anything ridiculous but a bid of anything over 450k would be worth thinking about but personally I don't think that sum would appeal to Warbs. Thoughts Bears?

19 Oct 2016 15:58:46
I agreed because waggy shouldn't be near the team the now he isn playing well at all and I think that's because he is out on the right and prefers through the middle.
I don't agree we should sell him though as he will come good he can score goals and will be a big part of our season just not the way he is playing the now.

17 Oct 2016 11:11:29
Interested too see who you guys think we should go with at the back Hill and Wilson seem most convincing to me.

17 Oct 2016 13:55:46
Senderos and Wilson. Kiernan is terrible and hill too slow.

17 Oct 2016 16:03:43
no pairing is very good and none of the players have any pace .

17 Oct 2016 16:15:28
Wilson and another simple as that. Senderos doesn't have pace either so its the toss of a coin between hill and senderos to who partners danny wilson. that's the way i see it anyway! If pushed wilson and hill for me!

17 Oct 2016 18:06:31
Normally I would back any media ban by gers if they thought it was merited but in case of warbs not giving interview to bt it looks like he's showing that sutton is getting to him and I wouldn't give him the satisfaction.

17 Oct 2016 18:30:44
Wilson and hill for this week, think senderos could be nervous after last old firm! Would bring him in to side soon though as with a run in the side I think he can form a decent pairing with wilson.

18 Oct 2016 14:16:49
There's not a chance hill will play Hamden is a big pitch he's to slow we would have to sit in to deep they will just peg us in and pick us off but who nos who will start at the back.

18 Oct 2016 14:09:18
Jaws, sutton should never have got a job in media imho, the guy said dumfermline lay down to us (cheated ) any player that comes out with that sh. t its not like he was a good plsyer, he was on the ground more often than the ball, and feigning injury is as bad as it gets in my eyes, everytime he fell he cheated, every time.

18 Oct 2016 14:08:10
We are between a rock and a hard place. It is a case of Wilson and any one from three, none of which fill me with confidence!

18 Oct 2016 15:10:48
Bigjoh85 agree with you about sutton but just felt warbs played into his hands by not giving interview. It kept sutton in the news and that's what he's after.

18 Oct 2016 16:17:02
Id like to see Warbs bring in at least 3 loans 2 left sided attacking wingers and a CH wi pace.

18 Oct 2016 20:41:00
We all agree that pace is a major flaw in middle ogre defense, so if Crooks has it then he could be our answer. We just do not know how good flexible thus guy is but according to some he played CH numerous times and found himself highly rated amongst fellow players, kinda pulling my hair out about this.

18 Oct 2016 23:14:37
Jaws the only people that pay much interest in sutton are the supporters from the east end club, sutton, / hartson, guys like them will never be big shakers in the media, cause anybody that's seen either of them playing know they fell over if somebody looked at them, more grass burns on there knees, than carpet burns, lol, lol,

19 Oct 2016 16:05:57
hate to say this but I actually respect heartson as far as I can tell he always speaks the truth and has always been respectfull to the other teams actually sounds like he knows his stuff and he wasn't a diver players used to bounce off of him but spot on about Sutton he is a complete and utter tanker! lol -t+w.

17 Oct 2016 09:17:58
Morning bears was wondering if anyone could tell me the best public transport service to get to the game on Sunday is. Cheers.

17 Oct 2016 09:34:53
Train from lower level to mount florida.

17 Oct 2016 09:35:22
Train to mount Florida from central station.

17 Oct 2016 10:14:43
Cheers guys do we get on the same train as them?

17 Oct 2016 16:05:41
lmao i'm sure you will be fine big man!
and if u don't fancy it then go to the pub and give me your ticket lol.

17 Oct 2016 16:53:53
Not usually SA, they tend to go via Rutherglen and Aikenhead Road to get to Hampden.

17 Oct 2016 20:04:26
Why not all travel in harmony watch the game, support your team then travel back together, maybe stopping off for a pint to discuss the game . Not too much to ask in the 21st Century is it .

18 Oct 2016 14:45:25
Depends where your coming from lol stop rubbing it in that you have a ticket your best route is the star ship enterprise berm me down scotty.

18 Oct 2016 22:07:00
Do you think Warbs will stick wi Gilks for the Lge Cup also do we really think Warbs will go 4-3-3? honestly we know this is the system he truly believes in and ye never know but celtic do have pace our CH's not blessed and Hampden is a big pitch! EVERYBODY I've spoke to anything I've read and seen any half decent pundits all agree our back line needs more protection. So does he believe the players can play this system against them?

18 Oct 2016 23:16:30
Vincibhoy, if only mate, if only.

17 Oct 2016 05:30:50
Kranjcar shouldn't be in starting 11 on Sunday . Looked miles off the pace last time out. We need energy in midfield against them midfield 3- windass holt Halliday.

17 Oct 2016 06:54:08
Tend to agree with you darren72,although kranjcar is much fitter than he was against celtic last time out. In saying that niko was outstanding and motm imo, against ICT on friday night! He's getting there now and he's without question a tremendous midfielder with terrific technique and ability!

17 Oct 2016 08:14:49
My team against celtic on sunday would be a 4-2-3-1,which i know it probably won't be, but here goes anyway guys!
foderingham
tavernier, hill, wilson, wallace,
halliday, rossiter,
windass, holt, mckay,
miller
Thats my team fellow bears, looking forward to see all other bluenose's opinions on formation and team selection on here!

17 Oct 2016 08:20:08
Yeah let's not play the only international class player in our team, the best footballer in the league. Got to give Celtic a chance.

17 Oct 2016 08:41:31
Niko must start. He is our most creative player and is definitely fitter than he was. If anyone should be benched it should be wee Baz. Can't remember the last time he took on and beat his man.

17 Oct 2016 08:52:19
Not bad SuperCoop!
I thought a 4-2-3-1 would be best too. The reason we lost last time was only 1 holding (Barton) and we lacked any enrgy to close down.
The only changes I would make are. Gilks in goal (its the cup so ts his game and hasn't done anything to lose his place) then move windass to left and play Waggy or MOH on the right.
I know Waggy has been poor but I basically feel that they have McKay's number and Windass is more of an unknown commodity to them. Also concern about goal options without Waggy!

17 Oct 2016 09:45:34
no chance of a goal with that team.

17 Oct 2016 10:14:10
We are going to go 4-3-3 as usual and I've got a horrible feeling keirnan is going to play otherwise why did warbs not play senderos against ict on Friday. I hope I'm wrong but manager seems to rate him.

17 Oct 2016 11:58:39
Aye cee, just like you said kenny miller should be nowhere near our starting line up against ICT on friday there, mum! Without question there's goals in the starting 11 i mentioned, ie. tav, windass, halliday holt, miller, yes miller cee!

17 Oct 2016 13:33:59
Miller is not good enough to be a sole striker. he drops far too deep trying to act like a footballer if he plays through the middle against celtic I doubt we will even have a shot.

17 Oct 2016 14:06:33
Agree with your team warbs15. I would bring kranjkar on when pace of game drops last 20 mins maybe.

17 Oct 2016 14:26:22
Miller is a certain starter against them on Sunday! By far the best one up front striker we have at ibrox. Honestly cee i sometimes wonder about you my friend. What are you actually watching?

17 Oct 2016 15:59:50
really you obviously don't watch our games. he drops in and most of the times is deeper than some of our midfielders his link up play 99 percent of time either results in him losing the ball or passing it straight back to the player who passed it. his passing is poor he can't hold the ball up. the only thing he brings is workrate but at his age how much can he give?

17 Oct 2016 16:25:15
I grant you that does happen sometimes but imo he's still by far the best striker we have at rangers to play the loan striker role! If you watch miller closely he's a very clever player as he drags opposition players out of position for other 'gers players to run into, he always creates space for which a windass, holt, mckay etc can run into to get beyond the striker which is so important. So that's what i see, cee!

18 Oct 2016 08:42:05
Why would anyone pick Rossiter in their starting 11 for Sunday the guy hasn't played in months and can't be match fit. We need a team of fully fit players if we are to have a remote chance of doing anything on Sunday.

18 Oct 2016 12:32:11
Is Senderos not better than Hill or Tiernan?

18 Oct 2016 14:12:38
I suspect that it will be the same team as started against ICT and I have a real concern about the defence. Unfortunately, in reality I would still have that concern with either Hill or Senderos in the team!

18 Oct 2016 16:30:29
Would like to see Warbs give our defense more protection, playing either a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-1-3-2 this would also help midfeild. The tic do have pace and imo its these games Warbs really does need to think about changing his system, as for Nico tell him he has the first 45 and to run his guts out.

18 Oct 2016 16:32:39
Actually like your ideas Jaws of putting Nico on last 20 when game levels dip.

17 Oct 2016 01:28:55
Would have Miller and garner up front Sunday and I really hope that he doesn't start gilks as its a cup match which seems to be when he plays. Can someone give me confidence that warbs will not start with a 4-3-3 against them . Defence shocking again Friday night . I would start with 3cb's on Sunday and for me kenny Miller is a must start his goal other night was a good finish. What everyone's guess on formation for Sunday .
