I see Bruno is going to to World Cup, is anyone expecting any other players to get a call up?

18 May 2018 01:10:12
To play or be an old head and influence morale? Speaks volumes for Portugal if they think he is worth a spot

18 May 2018 01:17:45
I think Tom Rogic will owt. Else will.

18 May 2018 11:42:57
I think Alves in back 5 as sweeper would be quality. Let younger and faster defenders chase and let him use tackling and positioning. Tav and John on wings with less defending would be interesting. Affective 352 attacking that can be converted to 532 for defense.

17 May 2018 21:56:51
Craig Cathcart of Watford supposed to be in the frame for us, anybody else heard his name kicking about, also heard the skirtel name from same source . my only source lol, let's hope there's some truth in some of these names .

17 May 2018 22:43:44
We were linked with him last summer. Didn't seem to be any truth in it then so it's probably just the papers rerunning the same stuff

17 May 2018 23:16:55
My source 😂 what an absolute blether, whens the investment coming! 😂😂

18 May 2018 00:30:12
It’s a rumour site LDM, no need to give folk grief for posting what they are hearing. Yer acting like a tim taking the piss about what was previously rumoured regarding investment.

18 May 2018 03:40:26
The names being rumoured that could be coming to rangers won't happen for 2 reasons, high tranfer fee and wages.

18 May 2018 09:00:30
Some of them won't be coming for the money, we can't afford the wages they are on. that's blatantly obvious, they have already made their cash in England and abroad they will be coming to play for Steven Gerrard

17 May 2018 20:54:21
I honestly can't stand the thought of Tavernier at our club next season. Honestly!

The guy may be fast and good going forward and able to grab a few goals but he's never a Rangers player.

There is only one word that sums up his stint as captain and that word is. embarrassing! .

Even if we went with a solid back 3 next year and player him RWB i still wouldn't have him in our squad.

He's a typical English championship player who will spend his career going through the motions and getting away with it under no real pressure to achieve anything.

Unfortunatly that is not acceptable at ibrox and mediocrity and dross will no longer be tolerated.

Let's go!

17 May 2018 22:41:16
Stas show he is an excellent footballer, if Rangers had a solid pairing at the back and in the middle he would really start to shine as a RB.

17 May 2018 22:51:22
Der-goalie-1 believe me please. Tav couldn't defend if his life depended on it . but. going forward he is excellent. His deliveries are brilliant. Have you any idea how difficult it is to do that chip he did last week for Murphy when he should have scored. If we play 3 at the back he is a must. He runs more than Forest Gump. 4 at the back then naw but wide of a 5 man midfield then yes.

17 May 2018 23:00:05
Thank him for getting us back to the SPL he's been a great servant but I think your right he is adequate back up at best

17 May 2018 23:05:47
Glad to see you feel that way, i thought i was the only person who thought he is not good enough for Rangers! Was told to get real last time i mentioned it!

17 May 2018 23:27:27
Seems a bit harsh. Give him time under Gerrard and his coaching staff will be a new improved player next year.

18 May 2018 01:26:19
He is the best player we have.

18 May 2018 09:07:48
Always amuses me when people criticise a player as being English championship level. Where exactly do you think the Scottish prem is in relation to the English championship. Like it or not that's probably the level of player we can expect to be looking at.

18 May 2018 09:23:19
Besty 78 I have said he is dreadful for years. He is a defender who can’t defend. We need much better to win league
He was involved in four of the goals we lost against Hibs

17 May 2018 20:38:24
Lads realisticly how many players do we need to get this 55th? So buzzing for what's to come but as people are saying rumours are romours don't get to excited but let's be serious we are all absolutely buzzing 🔴⚪🔵.

17 May 2018 21:19:20
Hardly buzzing when there is talk of spending big money on guys in semi retirement. Fair enough with a goalkeeper, but the wages some of these geriatrics will be demanding will put us back even further. 6 years down the line and we seem to have learned hee haw.

17 May 2018 22:42:15
Justlook at what walter did when he inherited the PLG mess, got some older heads with great character in the side and it can galvanise the team.

17 May 2018 22:44:40
Wouldn't call 33 a geriatric

17 May 2018 23:18:39
Negative crap! Get behind your club. Gerrard is the best thing that has happened to our club for 20 years or more.

18 May 2018 02:42:19
Gérard best thing in 20 years? So far there is no difference between him and Sourness certainly over 20 years ago, but we won't see any possible SG improvement on the field until next season. Like everybody I'm excited but you describe him like second coming.

17 May 2018 20:00:13
Does anyone know if Hummel or the board have said when the new strip is getting released?

18 May 2018 05:28:06
Apparently Hummel have said the new deal kicks in 1st June and to keep an eye on official rfc website and social media for updates regarding kit launch. Reckon it's all ready to go to retail mate but they have to wait until the puma deal officially ends first.

17 May 2018 15:22:52
When are Hummell going to show the strips and when are they going to be onsale, Anyone know?

17 May 2018 16:30:47
1st June I heard

17 May 2018 16:47:21
It's not been announced but the rumours are it will be after June 1st as this is when the sports direct deal ends

17 May 2018 18:17:56
The team will wear the kit for the europa league qualifiers the kit won't be onsale till at least end july according to SLO

17 May 2018 18:42:05
The Tims are saying it could be November and some even saying January. Some suggesting we might not have a strip to start the season. Worrying times, they are never wrong (that was sarcasm incase the 2 watt bulb brigade are reading) .

17 May 2018 23:28:59
We don't have money for new strips. Admin 2 is just around the corner.

17 May 2018 12:52:08
Realistically does anyone feel the signings of Arfield and McGregor are Gerrard’s signings?

I think we were linked prior to the Gerrard approach. I know we have the DOF model but this does concern me.

17 May 2018 13:20:14
What concerns you? Garrard can’t be giving the full budget to fill his boots with, most clubs have a transfer committee who help the manager find players to sign. Let’s me honest, a keeper and centre mid where hardly the priorities and as both are free will have little impact on Gerrard?!

17 May 2018 13:47:51
Poseidon you keep giving it this nonsense its well known shagger n arfield were sounded out before the gaffer came in it was also said at the presser of arfield that the deal had to be run by gerrard when in to finalise it so give urself a break pal

17 May 2018 15:09:35
Yip stevie gave gers the go ahead to sign arfield n mcgregor.
Welcome bk allan off all the jumpers who spoke out n left the club naismith etc only 1 i never said anything bad about an wanted back at club was allan mcgregor

17 May 2018 21:33:48
Two quality players. Gerrard will have gave go ahead in some format. IMHO wes is murder. Let's cheap goals in and has been poor this season. Shagger much better. More experienced and better all rounder. Artfield has played top level for years. I would think SG delighted.

17 May 2018 12:00:46
It seems that talks have begun with Solanke and Defoe. If so, the latter in particular could score goals for fun in Scotland. Oh, and Celtic have valued Tierney at £30 million. Good player though he is, that manky mob ain't half deluded!

17 May 2018 12:25:56
Tierneys good but he's no Andy Robertson. 30 million? They're dreaming.

17 May 2018 12:50:44
Not convinced on Solanke. Defoe I obviously has a reputation but I haven’t watched him closely since his years at Spurs and Sunderland. If he is still the same player then yes, could be ideal.

17 May 2018 13:36:03
Poseidon. I take it you never saw Solanke play on Sunday. the boy looks dynamite!

17 May 2018 13:55:11
Solanke would be a great signing.

17 May 2018 15:09:58
It was B30.

That’s 30 million Brenda Bitcoins

😂😂😂

17 May 2018 16:02:50
I take it you never seen him in the under 20 championship with England where he was top goal scorer and player of the tournament! Solanke and Defoe up front nxt season we will be a force once again I have no doubt about that!

17 May 2018 16:39:02
We were top scorers in the league. Attacking is not our problem.

17 May 2018 09:16:07
Anyone concerned that our first 2 signings are frees. Are we going to be looking round the bargain basements again?

17 May 2018 09:25:59
bosmans my friend also transfer window ain't even opened so just you sit tight

17 May 2018 09:29:59
Not at all mate, I think it's great business. There's no doubt that those two will improve the team and it allows us to spend more money on those position we need it most, I. e. defender.

17 May 2018 09:30:35
Well realistically they would be the easiest to wrap up, instead of going in with a bid, the club knocking it back and negotiating etc, the frees are simple

17 May 2018 09:42:21
Window isn’t open so get the Bosmans wrapped up ASAP. Both are good signings and will be first XI players, good bit of business so far. It’s also interesting that Stevie G and his Mrs are staying at same hotel as Fod and Windass etc in Dubai, he may not start till 1st June but work def began.

17 May 2018 10:12:00
There's plenty great players available on Bosmans why pay a free when we don't have to?

17 May 2018 10:14:54
This doesn't concern me in the slightest, its good business and 2 fantastic players into the bargain

17 May 2018 16:03:02
The two boys which are great strategic signings wouldn't have sniffed at the gers if not for SG. Solanke especially because he has plenty to offer any team.

17 May 2018 22:08:42
Buffon is now on a free? Would that be bad buisness?

17 May 2018 22:46:41
Let's be honest Bosman's are not free transfers, Arfield and Shagger will be having a large signing on fee and/ or a higher wage (or both)

Let's hope the board have realised we need a little quality, 4/ 5 really good players will be needed, McRorie coming back from loan, rossiter finally looking fit, Jack Back,

People seem to forget that Rangers team was riddled with injuries last season and that has cost us!

17 May 2018 08:50:15
Since Gerrard has joined I've seen a fair few posts here and there saying they hope he has say over players coming in/ out and such, I'm assuming from people who don't know how the system generally works.

Now, I don't have a mate's mate's cousin's best friend's auntie's son's best mate who works in Rangers like most of you do so I could be totally wrong here but as Gerrard has been saying all along it's a team effort between him and the other guys in recruitment but the manager will always have last say since they have to fit them into the team and actually play them.

That tends to be how the system works unless you have a really overbearing board/ chairman like in Cardiff among other places.

Most of the recent stuff with Shagger and Arfield were set up before Gerrard joined but weren't finalized until the new gaffer gave the green light.

As much as I love Rangers, always have and always will, there's a small but loud portion of our fanbase that's overly paranoid about everything, while after recent years I'm all for being careful and not taking everything at face value there's no point in paranoia for little to no reason with little to no proof, that tends to be the way of the Green and Gray, it shouldn't be our way.

17 May 2018 09:27:19
I've been watching Rangers regularly since I was 7, 27 years ago gulp, with my dad Rangers through and through, and grandad Port Vale supporter WTF and greatly missed, and up till this season I'd agree with you about paranoia and ref bias. When you get a player sent 4 times early season 2 rescinded, should have been 3 and the sheer volume of blatant none penalties given against us and obvious penalties not given to us by refs in perfect positions to see them this season . its hard not to get paranoid

17 May 2018 09:27:35
@F-U good post mate

17 May 2018 10:29:10
The only problem is, Gerrard hasn't joined yet, not until June 1st

17 May 2018 15:33:46
some of the fans are complaining about potential signings being too old being in their thirties, with no sell on value, but for me I think it is the right way to go with established players who will get us winning games, then bring on academy players with 15 mins to go to see if they show any promise.
First and foremost I want a winning team on the park regardless of their age.
We have mcrorie, docherty and rossiter with sell on value.

17 May 2018 07:24:38
We need a bit of size and stature in the team if you ask me. Too many small men in the team. 2 monster centre halves that strikers don't want to play against and a hard centre mid is what we need.

A centre half that wins the ball and passes it please. He doesn't need to be Pirlo.

17 May 2018 09:00:33
Gerrard learned his trade at Liverpool and generally they have at least one monster centre half and at least one ball player so I'm assuming that's how we'll line up.

Defence is our main issue and I'm sure Gerrard knows that even if he just seen the last game of the season, shipping so many goals against Hibs is unacceptable for any team nevermind a team like us with championship aspirations and who want to progress. at least somewhat. in Europe.

17 May 2018 09:49:32
Last few seasons, weak at set pieces into our box. Bullied by bigger players. We need to add a couple of players to match that physical ability and size.

Cummings one man up front against 4 defenders? Madness, Jason holt trying to defend an aerial ball from a set piece.

Hopefully the right mix will come

17 May 2018 10:21:49
CB's are where we need to start building a team, if we can get a mix of experience and youth we'll be ok. Skrtl would be ideal, also looked at a few 24 year old croatian CB'S. Denis Kolinger plays for NK Locomotiva, 1.99 mtrs in height, would cost about 1 million, interest from about 3 English clubs so far.
Andrey Lukic, 24, 1.94 in height, plays with SC Braga, could cost 1million+. Both played at a decent level. Anyone heard anything on the young CB on trial just now, Thomas something? can't remember his second name.

17 May 2018 20:57:29
I'm sure I heard him say he favoured physical types, prepared to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in. That'll do for me. It's about time some of the haters were getting some sore ones off us
