I hope we get Marcelo Estigarribia, he was awesome tonight scoring a penalty helping Paraguay beat Brazil. 1.5m looks an absolute bargain.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Aye hes looks great going forward but was constantly tucking in and doing his defensive duties... very un south american actually,

fingers crossed we gt him and he can settle, ortiz and cuellar would be goood for him.. few spanish speaking pals.. unlike in france.

In response to:

''I noticed a couple of rumours down at aston villa they seem to fancy edu Im not sure as to his current status here but would it be a good bit of business to move him on now or is he still considered to be a key player?''

Mo Edu to me is a very capable player who can be very good, his confidence does effect him like alot of players and he's not had his best season this year. I think he could be very good for Rangers and is really commited to the club but on the other hand think if we could get a couple of million for him would be a good bit of buisness and wish Mo the very best.

Whyte had to say something about the new funds available top stop some of us so called Rangers fans moaning and groaning about the lack of players coming in. Stop complaining and get behind the team we have and be sure that players WILL come in. Have faith and let the professionals do their job, hes not a multi-millionaire for nothing.

Players will come
Form will come
Goals will come

To Alduh,

Whyte's a creditor and the debt still remains a debt until at least HMRC case is resolved. If R@ngers do lose the case it's POSSIBLE Whyte COULD pick up the assets from which the club could be rebuilt, however HMRC may have a say in that. Not clear cut and a long way to go with this, especially when you take into account appeals and so forth.

If Whyte wins the case, he could turn the debt into equity and take full control of the club, haha, what a prospect that is Won't happen though because the club has been ill advised over these "off-shore payments", HMRC are baying for blood

Make no mistake though, the club ARE absolutely in debt, do you think the debt has just disappeared into thin air ya moon unit

Enjoy your sleep big man, speak soon
PS: Many season tickets was that again?
Miko

Believable0 Unbelievable3

You talk some pish.
You have all the info on this. You must be very important but then again you could be and are talking pish. Night night timmy. 4IAR loads of dough.
We laugh at the challenge. Craig Bellamy? Mare like David Bellamy.

Agree2 Disagree0

Stock Exchange has reported club debt free so no luck there Timothy as far as HMRC are concerned as far as I am aware the lawyers in Stockholm would disagree and due to the appeals process could take years to settle so there is no rush there go back to school and get an education instead of A D

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye, ok guys fair enough.......R@ngers are debt free, I give in......Miko

PS: Actually, I am an academic AD, what are your credentials?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said sir. You better explain to timmy what the stock exchange is. He thought stocks were things he put on his feet.

Agree1 Disagree0

Is it just me who finds it hilarious that the c*ltic fans are suddenly tax and finance experts?

I have heard that next season Neil Lemon will moan a lot about SPL refs... - - - - From a very reliable source :-)

Believable6 Unbelievable0

What a laugh reading thru this tonight...
If it isn't celtc fans praying/wishing/hoping that Cuellar/miller/Bartley ain't coming, It's Celtc fans resorting to " Well so what if you'll huv the best team next season, yooz u'll be oot o business before the end of the season onywiy (I hope/pray) "

Lets face it, we all know Whyte may be a lot of things, but stupid he ain't... Do you believe in your heart of hearts that he wants to be remembered as the guy that took Rangers FC down?
I doubt it somehow.

He has a fair idea of how the tax case will go and has planned for all eventualities, you can be sure of that.

Forget about our tax case and start worrying about Celtc, seeing as you have not yet been linked with never mind signed anybody of note.

If my team were second best last year, and I saw the club doing fack all in the summer transfer window, i'd be worried...

FailFail... :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Ooooh no no no, no typo there my friend. 50 goals between them. That's only 25 each. For your reference. They nearly had that this year and they both missed half the season. NS.

I've been sitting trying to figure out what my first 11 would be for next year. What's the point? We are going to be signing all these players I will just wait and see who comes. To be honest our team is good enough to win the spl. Already proven. So if we add cuellar, miller, Bartley and whoever else we are going to romp it. Ahhh a good Christmas celebration for the gers. Easy.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Ali russell said this weeks ago m8 most likely wont happen but we could get a lot of cash if it did

aldo {Ed047's Note - interesting to know what the opinion would be on this. I'd be more than happy for Rangers to play at the Nike Stadium or the Buckfast Stadium if it's gonna make us wealthier and stronger but it has to be a very good deal. Whatever happens, it'll always be Ibrox to me

Agree6 Disagree2

Can't see it happening but it would be interesting to hear some good suggestions for the new name.

Agree1 Disagree1

Just saw ur post befour i log ed very true i would not care what the name was tho many fans would we will get alot of cash if we did change tho any way nn all {Ed047's Note - It'd take an exceptional amount of cash before we'd consider a change to the name.

Oh, and another thing Alduh, just because R@ngers tell the media that they're almost sold, doesn't mean it's true. That's how Celtic and R@ngers encourage supporters to buy season tickets sooner rather than later.

You're a mug sweatheart.....Miko x

Inland revanue and the stock exchange both say ranger are no longer in debt fool YOU CANT LIE TO THO GUY SO NO MATTER WOT ANY 1 ELSE SAYS RANGERS ARE NOT IN DEBT that not to say that the debt has been moved in any case rangers football club no longer have any debt
if the debt has been moved to another company not no longer has any thing to do with rangers football club
ed surly you know this ed ( am sure u do m8 )

aldo ( am gonna stay on for a and see what this uneducated timmy has to say ) {Ed047's Note - I'm no business expert but my understanding of it is that Lloyds have been paid and Craig Whytes company are now the owners of Rangers FC. If there is a future tax liability it will fall to the Whyte company, however that is a BIG IF.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Until Espanyol or anyone else agree a fee with Villa, no contractual discussions can take place with the player. So far as I'm aware, Rangers are the only club to have agreed a fee, unless someone knows different.

BigGordi

Agree0 Disagree1

Oh dear have i got this right ed010 a player or his representative can only talk to another club (a)when a fee has been agreed (b)last 6 months of contract agent can lose licence and club fined for tapping up other wise big rab by the way {Ed001's Note - they can talk if given permission to do so by the club holding the player's registration.}

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jul 2011 19:07:06
Just to keep you guys right, the debt has not been wiped/waived/written off, whatever you want to call it. This is because Whyte's waiting on the outcome of the HMRC against the club. If R@ngers win the case, he will write off the debt. If they lose the case, it'll be administration......so how on earth can you believe any of his proposals, such as a promise of a further £15 million "if the manager requires it." Total tosh

Please consider this as it just does not add up to me........Miko

Believable0 Unbelievable3

More lie form the timmys inland revanue and the stock exchange bost say it wiped and you can lie to thos guy :)

aldo

Agree2 Disagree0

If Gers were to lose the case and it's big IF they would appeal decision case could take years in theory as HMRC could equally appeal if they lost So maybe better to realise this rather than just spout of doom and gloom scenarios

Agree0 Disagree0

Inland revanue and the stock exchange both say rangers are no longer in debt should i say

aldo

Agree0 Disagree1

Miko it very simple all the rangers assets have been secured against the debt last i heard 28million if the taxman wins he doent get the assets if he(whyte) had of wiped the debt it would have happened imo. we then go into administration get points celtic would likely win the league imo only chance they have got. but the advice whyte is getting it will not happen so the rangers support and the celtic supporters who seem to want to know the ins and outs of our club instead of worrying about there own.or to put it another way if it was an open and shut case there wouldnt be a case it would be pay up simple as that miko i hooped sorry hoped that helped big rab by the way

Agree0 Disagree0

Na Rab, Whyte's a creditor and the debt still remains a debt until at least HMRC case is resolved. If R@ngers do lose the case it's POSSIBLE Whyte COULD pick up the assets from which the club could be rebuilt, however HMRC may have a say in that. Why are you arguing with Miko whose only financial advice could be on how to get a crisis loan or how much stuff you could get for a hundred ginger bottles he should worry more anout his own team desperation to sell Kayal to Bolton for £2.5 million so they can buy tottenhams 4string goalie that even youtube cant make look good and thats saying somthing

Hints of fear there.
In other news Steven Davis has signed on till 2014 and according to Turkish webpages we are close to signing King Kenny for around £750k. Apparently Kenny has put in a transfer request because he wants to come home.

Its amazing how ex players claim to love a club when their careers are on the downturn, lets not forget these guys bolted when they could smell the bumper wage packets on offer at other clubs, dress it up whatever way you want but these 2 moved for their own greed, why are they so loved up with the rangers again all off a sudden?fellow bears dont fall for these 2 mercenaries sickening lovesick stories bull, do they think we are that gullible?cos i aint.

Agree4 Disagree1

So your saying if you was offered double your wage you wouldnt take it cause your loyal to your firm? My arse its thier job at the end of day We dint have to let any1 go we got 9mil for cuellar

Its called loyalty, dont you think 25 grand a week is more than enough to live on?funny how boyd was a money grabber so whats the difference?boyds not been linked with a move back thats what.cuellar went for 7.4 million so at least get the figures correct, another gullible idiot, bet you called them all sorts when they bolted for more cash.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

He also claimed the debt would be cleared when in actual fact its been moved to wavetower, why has this not been cleared?i, ll believe it when he spends it, fans are quick enough to believe the good stuff yet when the rags print a negative story fans claim its bullsh*t, cant have it both ways.

Agree2 Disagree0

Bebt has been cleared, he moved it to his own company who now holds the debt, he owns the gers and owns the other company so HIS own debt, work it out it is easy, , RANGERS have no debt, mr whyte has the debt....

Agree3 Disagree1

Celtic are in more debt than Rangers. FACT. Rangers are the richest club in Scotland. ANOTHER FACT ;-)

Agree2 Disagree2

In other words..rangers new owner is in debt?his company own rangers, surely 18 million is loose change for a man who is reported to be worth 700 million, i find it strange that fellow bears dont find this strange.we need more clarity.

Agree4 Disagree1

The debt was moved to another of whites companys ok got that? so if murray had done that and rangers were debt free would u be having this conversation. rangers have no debt the debts were moved they no longer belong to rangers so WE HAVE NO DEBT. in other words when murray was in charge were murray internationals debts rangers debts? no ok so how can one of whytes companys debts be rangers debt........... erm they cant. have you got it now? its verry simple.

Rangers David Weir has signed a new one-year contract to keep him at Ibrox.

sky sport new story

happy hes staying he not gonna be first team might not even get a game at all but will be great to have when we sign the young center back we are looking at could teach them alot

Believable4 Unbelievable0

As much as I like the big man , he should go out at the top , 3 titles n row hope he gets 4 n row. , last season he had 1 bad game against Celtic when he showed his age and got slaughtered for it. But he proved everyone wrong. Hope Carlos will sign too

Agree2 Disagree1

Weir and McCulloch might both drop out of the team at times this season. IMO the captain has to be a mainstay in the team and i'm thinking someone like Steve Davis but it would be harsh to take it from Weir. Dilemma...

Agree4 Disagree0

Tbh i was thinking mcculloch would be captain but davis is a great shout also mcshgger unless we sign a dm then i think mcculloch will be captain

Believable0 Unbelievable5

mccoist obviously has no faith in papac, first he goes for wallace, then the polish lad who turned us down for torino or someone and now this greek guy, surely papac is good enough, either this or he plans to play him at cb?

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Why would he sign him up for another year if he had no faith?

Billyboy1

Agree3 Disagree0

Are you a timothy?...papac is first choice l/b so ally needs another for cover.

Agree1 Disagree0

Why would he go after 3 left backs if he didn't have doubts?

Agree0 Disagree0

The polish lad was a centre half no a left back we need back up

Agree0 Disagree0

So who do we play if papac gets injured? Whittiker would be our only other option. Ally is looking because we need cover on the left

Agree0 Disagree0

Papac was a CB that Gers turned into a LB so he can play either plus we're looking to the future after this season Papac might not be here so why not get a LB in now to learn from Papac. Septic fans don't understand basic football do they? We are all keith lemon. WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

If he buys a lb it means cover for lb and cb cause papac can play cb. simples

JH

Agree0 Disagree0

In responce to the first post mccoist has faith in him he just signed a new deal ya moron. we have no cover for left back thats why we are trying to sign left backs. honestly. best to keep that shut it will get you in to trouble

Agree0 Disagree0

Papac has 1 year left, hes just building for the future, use whoever he gets this year from time to time, mainly on the bench, then next year he'll be the starting left back

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jul 2011 12:07:06
Well well thats a deep subject I suppose to all rangers fans no need to worry weve got the dough to buy a monster of a centre back anyway and to the celtic fans if your manager stops making an idiot of himself and you get your fans to start thinking good thoughts maybe you can all find a way to sit down and sort out all the stupidity that is surrounding both clubs and pulling the game into the gutter or do both clubs need the images that they have both lived with for years to keep them financially viable?...I hope not or we are going to end up with a nightmare scenario.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Cuellar
bartley
C brunt
k miller

Agree0 Disagree0

I would personally like to see Rangers brining in . . Big Carlos ( a must ) .. Estigarribia . ( would rip up SPL ) . . Lee Wallace ( doubtfull on this i.e Mad Vlad ) . . Jamie Murphy ( great talent ) . . Goodwillie (a must depending on court case ) . . Miller ( if Goodwillie deal becomes a no go ) . . . Bartley ( prefer perm but loan if thats all Arsene wants ) . . Finally i would love to see an experienced midfield playmaker but struggling to think of a REALISTIC target lol. .

Agree2 Disagree0

I personally dnt want kenny back, sure he scores goals but he turned his back on us coz he wanted more money id like to see the money spent on somone from the championship to compliment jelavic

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree we need an experienced playmaker and can't think of 1 myself but that draws me back to commentts i made weeks ago I honestly think I would start with JAMIE NESS and KYLE HUTTON in my engine room examples we seen glimpses of NESS last season and the running power he has also an eye for goal and I would start HUTTON in front of BIG JIG anyday the boy HUTTON can time his tackle far better and has a better range of passing so I think we may have the answer at the door I hope SUPER ALLY doesn't hold the boys back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh i forgot one i would love rangers to go for george boyd from peterbourgh utd

Does anyone else think we should sign the Paraguay winger? He looked great against brazil it took lucio and dani alves at the the same time to take the ball off him. He would do great in the spl

Now that Craig Whyte has revealed his transfer plans to all bears lets hope he follows through and delivers the players we need for a successful season. The backbone of our squad is solid Greegs, Boughy, Davis and Jelavic, all we need is a experienced centre half(Cuellar) hopefully, a midfielder to lighten Davis workload, a pacy winger and a poacher and we will be set for another successful season.Cant see the Goodwillie transfer happening he has too much baggage and we cant afford to gamble £2m on someone who could be in Shawshank shortly, anyway the futures bright, the futures orange

After being at the Linfield game on Saturday, we
need a centre back/ goalscorer/and possably another good experienced squad player. Hopefully these turn out to be Carlos Cuellar/Kenny Miller, both of which are
proved already, while we have Edu/ Lafferty/Ness/Hutton/Fleck/Weiss(where is he?).
I would feel a lot more confident if we signed the 2players named, and also give KERKAR more match time, as well as one of our goalscorers on Saturday,
HEMMINGS. A blend of youth and experience is all very
well but we cant expect Davie Weir to be our saviour every week. Looking f/ward to Saturday @ IBROX with
quite a bite of confidence.

Scotland on Sunday, stating Cueller has signed..

Believable2 Unbelievable1

The headline say's "Linfield 1-4 Rangers: All smiles as Cuellar signs" but if you read the article it goes on to say "encouraged he is about to complete the re-signing of Spanish central defender Carlos Cuellar." {Ed021's Note - We will all believe it when King Carlos is presented. Don't believe everything thats written in the media.

Agree3 Disagree0

That was the headline. The story states that Cuellar is close to signing, McCoist has spoken to him and Cuellar is keen to come back to gers. Hope it happens 4IAR

Hi. an arsenal fan here. What can you rangers fans say about Kyle Bartley, i didnt manage to see him play when he was playing for you, is he a good prospect for the future?or is he over rated like some of the other youngsters we have brought through the youth system

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Seems a good player. Strong big boy not sacred of a tackle and good on the deck. Would like him back at rangers.

Agree3 Disagree0

Think he will be a great player maybe a bit 2 slow for epl

Agree0 Disagree3

He is not slow he is f***in majic and he takes no s**t a bit like arsenal r missing i was at your game v birmingham oct 2010 40th birthday present and the big man would have walked into that centre of defence any day just 1 thing i hope 2 f*** you's give him to us on loan again cheers m8

Agree1 Disagree0

Bit slow? he played an old firm in MF and was keeping up great, i dont think hes a pacey defender like a full bk but for a central def he wasnt a slouch.

I think he would do a a better job for arsenal that that swizz didy djourru or what ever his name is

Agree0 Disagree0

C if a say hes crap will youse give him back to rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

C if 500,000 bears say hes crap can we have himback

RANGERS manager Ally McCoist cut a contented figure as he left Windsor Park yesterday, having witnessed his side finally discover some goalscoring pre-season form and encouraged he is about to complete the re-signing of Spanish central defender Carlos Cuellar.
