honestly we’re all Rangers fans. Apparently so we all want the tram to win may have different ideas on how to achieve that but the name calling I don’t like that bully boy stuff doesn’t sit well with me at all
See Tom has not posted today and think last night after someone insulted him think he said he had enough of posting on here and that’s just a disgrace
Because Tom had a lot of knowledge and he came across well in his posts always up for a good debate and could throw in good information
And because someone couldn’t handle the debate and had to again go below the belts we have a great poster leave the forum possibly?

We highlight it to the Editor let them delete it and If the same posters keep up the name calling and insults they should be banned from the forum it’s simple in my eyes anyway
We don’t expect all opinions to be accepted and treated as gospel the forum is open for debate but to ridicule and belittle and throw insults to a fellow fan is beyond me
Where I come from Rangers fans stick together and have each other’s backs when it gets to the nitty gritty
We can put across our opinions surely in a manner that doesn’t need to turn nasty?

Sometimes it comes across that a few on here can be quite thin skinned because other posters don't share the same opinions as themselves, and it looks like it affects them. I'm not aiming a dig at anyone specific, but when we give it out, we should expect to get it back.
With regards to myself I know I don't share the same opinions as others, and vice versa, but If they don't like me, then they don't like me. I'm not going to worry about it or lose any sleep, that's how forums work mate. If I didn't like that other posters didn't like me I wouldn't come on here. Also, I know I can be a tool, but again, it doesn't bother me and I will never change.
I get on well with yourself SGL as I do with john and thestig, brian, coldo and many others, but the great thing is, we don't always agree! There are other posters on here who it would appear I don't get on with, but I respect their opinions and I enjoy our wee ding dongs.
Look mate, I am ok admitting I can come across as an arse, it's no big deal to me. I'm big enough and tough enough to take it, and always have been. As Bankie pointed out, and to which my wife agreed when I showed her, I could start an argument in an empty house, and I love it!

Gerrard needs to have a serious talk with morelos and trying get him firing the second part of season if he he knuckles down works hard and gets back among goals again.
He will then have all his suitors watching again and get his big move he wants in the summer and leave the club on a high and the lad will deserve it and leave on good terms with fans and club.

Stig, I've always said I really like Itten. I think he's a technically better player than Morelos.
But I feel, as he proved against Poznan, that he is a far better striker / link up player without a Defoe, Roofe or Morelos alongside him.
I'd prefer to see him up top with an on fire Kent and Aribo.

Itten had a poor game according to reports, but, so have a few in the past, and they kept getting regular starts. What service did Itten and Roofe get on Wednesday, answer very little, Itten had a header cleared off the line, which could have won the game for us. He has had to deal with small parts in games up until Wedmesday, I say give him a chance, his goal in Poland was not that of a poor player, let's give the lad some encouragement instead of shouting 'Get Rid' after one poor performance, as I said how many chances did our stsrikers get on Wednesday.

Wee question for fellow bears, do u think rangers missed a trick in the summer by not trying to bring in young Harvey Elliot on loan from liverpool for the season? He's currently on loan at Blackburn and has 4 goals and 5 assists in 15 games. For a 17 year old wideman/ attacker in a league as tough as the championship that's really good numbers. Could Gerrard have pulled it off? Probably. Would Elliot want to come to Scotland at such a young age? We don't know. But he would have been the type of player that would keep Kent on his toes and probably the both of them would be playing with likes of hagi roofe aribo as back up. Maybe with roofe through the middle who knows. But I think we shouldve went for him with our liverpool connections and I think we should enquire for next season.

I seem to remember a lot of posters on here calling Pedro Caxinho a clown (including me) and I can't remember anybody complaining. Alfredo is definitely on the fat side for a footballer although I wouldn't call him the fat one myself. Saying that, I'm not going to get snowflakey if a Rangers fan calls him that. Craigs8688, jermain defoe is our most talented striker IMHO mate 🤔 Even though he's 38!I'd honestly start defoe in a good few of our league games, no qualms about it. I know gerrard has to use game management at times with defoe but he's easily the best striker at ibrox and like i stated in one of my earlier posts no other striker currently at rangers will have anywhere near as good a career as defoe has had, absolute quality in every way 👌👌.

Anyone who thinks Morelos is fat or in the fat side is absolute bonkers. Not all footballers are ripped washboard stomach physique lol honestly 😂😂😂. I think, and maybe i'm bonkers, but maybe just maybe, our fitness coaches and football coaches etc know a bit more than you. Being from a fitness background myself I 100% can tell that Morelos is not on the "fat side" for a footballer. Absolute ludicrous to suggest he is so. I have said before on here that all the matters is the league but last night was still hard to swallow we need to get a big 3 points on Saturday and I don’t know about anyone else but am getting nervous about this time of year and form of the last two years albeit it’s a month early.

Kent's performance levels have been going downhill for weeks now, culminating in an embarrassing booking for diving when it was easier to stay on his feet and get a clear shot at goal.
Plus he was back to his ineffective best last night, just like last season by picking the ball up in his own half then doing nothing of note with it.
Let's hope he rediscovers his early season form.

Although he's still coming back after his spell out from his injury, i thought he had a very poor game last night and gerrard should have subbed him on or before the hour mark 🤔.

For £7m we better get better than Barrie McKay lol I’m going to be open to attack here but I was in a lock-in in the pub when my maw came down to do us a favour (obv got paid) and clean the big hall before the next day opening. She told me we’d signed Kent for £7m and I was both shocked we got him and shocked at the price never did I value him at £7m. I thought his numbers the previous season were very poor for a front 3 first pick. I think we could have got better quality elsewhere for that kind of money. I think his work rate is tremendous but we need more from him in the final 3rd. He needs real competitors push him on or maybe cashed in on in the summer if we get the £14-15m quoted again.

You could add arfield to the criticism of kent and aribo. Also thought was wrong to blame bassey alone for goals. When Gerrard brought barisic on he brought davis on same time to protect him. Should have told either arfield or aribo to help bassey seeing kent was too buisy tripping himself up all over the pitch.

Firstly let me try and defend my comments, of course the cup counts as a piece of silverware and we want to win every competition we enter but we were always going to get beaten at some point and right now I’d rather it was in the betfred cup rather than a league game or European knock out game. All I meant was that if we win the league this year, which surely to god is the most important thing that all Rangers fans want, will we really bother that we didn’t win the betfred cup? As opposed to if we don’t won’t the league can we really take any comfort that we won the betfred cup?
That’s all I meant guys, at this current point in time if we had to lose a game, this is the one I’d have chosen.
Don’t get me wrong, that cup was there for the taking and we massively underperformed but this isn’t going to be the competition that defines our season.

I love McGregor, but I agree that he does not command his area, particularly high balls. Our defending the last few games has resembled last season, no-one covering diagonal balls over midfield to the wings, and not covering the back post at corners, but I have every faith in it being sorted. He is a talent but a very flawed talent. The chances of a Bayern, Liverpool, Man City or Real Madrid ever finding a place for him in their starting line-ups is pretty much non-existent.

I think he’s a very good player on his day coops last season was immense before Xmas and especially in Europe. But since the new year hardly played and didn’t contribute a great deal when he did. This year he’s out of the box play has been a lot better than before has become a better team player and has controlled his temper. But then got away with a few against Celtic and got away with that forearm so if was in a league with var would have been sent off a few times and missed a lot of games. I don’t think he can play for a top 6 in England, atletico real Barca, Bayern Munich, PSG. To me he’s a level down. Maybe Villarreal, Sevilla and clubs like that is his level. He has the ability but there’s a screw missing which will probably not turn up anytime soon. Hopefully he finds his form and we can get around £15m for him in the summer. Best thing for all concerned.

Morelos is the best striker at i Rox. Defoe doesn’t do enough for me hence he doesn’t play much. He needs up top in a 2 I’d love to see itten up top with Defoe playing off him, Making late runs into the box for 1st time loose balls. I believe he and crouch played together in a similar system. But we don’t play like that so Alfredo is still the best we have.

I’d say Roofe followed closely by Defoe coops. What about you? Happy to be proven wrong but I took a fair rippings for saying the best Morelos could hope for would be Brentford or Rotherham and I still stand by those comments. He’s okay in a team who create loads of chances, we can hide his 15% conversion rate. Small teams in big leagues can’t take those chances on players, if they create a chance the need to know the centre forward will score more than they miss. Just my opinion, I’m not one of the dafties who will say it’s a fact 😜😜.

Bad night at the office last night. It had to happen sometime.
Lets lay off the blame game. We win as a team n lose as a team. We take it on the chin, use it as kick up the arse n kick on. Don't let it derail is. The lucky thing is it was the cup, obv first cup we could n should have won but it didn't work that way.

Absolutely nothing to do with the officials and if that was his first high level game then good on him as its a thankless task and one of the toughest jobs in football. VAR can't even get it right so what chance have the refs got to make every decision correct. There's not 1 person on planet earth who's never made a mistake and refs are no different. He played OK nothing much he could do about the penalty and their 2nd goal was a class finish so not his fault and he made a good save for their 3rd goal but unfortunately the ball fell to an unmarked player who had lots of space to knock it in. Just my opinion guys, I prefer McLaughlin, the reason being that Alan is like the tulips, he come out once a year, Joe controls his area better at cross balls which is where we have a problem.

Morning Bears. A surprising and disappointing result last night but the run was always going to end at some point. Better the League Cup than the League. This is a big test now. Can the team bounce back at the weekend and gain a convincing win against Motherwell? This isn't the time for a dip in form, especially with the next Old Firm game only just over 2 weeks away. 4 league games in 12 days should tell us if Gers are good enough to win the league. Slip up and Celtic could be right back in touch with us at the top.

Terrible result and even worse performance.
And yet the usual suspects are straight on blaming Morelos.
The same Morelos who last weekend was an unfit, overweight, liability who doesn't even score goals anymore 🤔 But who now is the ideal scapegoat because he wasn't available last night.
The same suspects who were crying for Itten to get a run in the team in his place.
The same suspects who proclaimed Kent as our most valuable player at the start of the campaign but have missed his drop in performances for weeks now because every time he does a step over they cream their pants. Not realising the step over has come to nothing and even more embarrassing for Kent, he was booked for diving when it was easier to stay on his feet and have a shot at goal.

McGregor more interested in getting involved in petty squabbles with the ref and opposition players than goalkeeping last night.
Itten never offered anything up front.
The defence were all over the place at times with young Bassey giving a torrid time at LB.
I would only give Roofe and the evergreen Davis pass marks last night.

I was as angry and disappointed as anyone last night 😡We always knew/ suspected, that we would have a bump along the road and that's our first one for a while 🤔Its how we bounce back from this that will tell us a lot about this group of players! MPH, in one hand you're slating fellow bears for blaming morelos and rightly so, as although it was stupidity again what he did at tannadice, it wasn't his fault we were beaten by st. mirren! That starting 11 last night if they had all played to form, should have been more than capable of beating st. mirren and that's the crux of it!
Yes the players you mentioned had an off night, but those same players have been terrific up until last night, so by all means say they had a bad day at the office, but at the first sign of adversity, don't throw them under the bus! Players ain't robots pal and will have off days 🤔.

Over 600 recruits attempt The sas every year. Although the majority of these guys are para and commando trained and are as fit as f&@k only 25 pass. Even then the ones who pass are on probation.
However once a guy is through this, he is @messi level.
Football teams pay for the privilege before we know what we're getting in terms of quality of individual. With all technology's such as gps and such, I struggle to understand how so many big signings don't look up to scratch?
If someone can't run, has no pace ( my major issue) or head goes down easy. Why do recruitment teams not know this?

Perhaps why so many big signings don't work is because certian players went to a certain team for the money rather than picking a team more suited to their style, ambition culture, location etc.
Also how many times has the decision on a player purchase been left to someone who has no clue in terms of direct football knowledge/ playing experience, for example liewell at celtic (not having a dig Tainted crew, I'm having a day off it! 😂) .
Money talks and it has seduced many a player into the wrong move and will continue to do so!
There is only 1 Messi though, not 25 a year coming through, he's in the ateam with pele maradona and best!

To all those saying that the same players should be turning out game after game. it's squad game. and if the same 12/ 13 players turn out game after game there WILL be guaranteed burn out later on in the season. Frank Lampard explained away Chelsea's defeat at the weekend by saying his team look jaded. and Lampard has been changing his team and can pick from a bigger squad than ours.
Let's hope our team can pick up the pieces. and go again.

Still gutted about last night, not sure if it was because we were eventually beaten or if it was because it was against St Mirren. We need a reaction on Sunday to ensure it was a one off and I would drop McGregor as he’s needing a rest. We are still at a level where certain players rely on others for instruction regards to position. These guys are not finished articles and it is clear some have a bit to go. You can see the anxiousness entering certain players play and this can make the team look tired and labouring.
I Personaly think when Steve G is saying out loud this is the best he's felt, that's just a message to the board not to sell any top players in January. We clearly still only have 15 that can be proper trusted before that telepathy goes if you know what I mean.

First and foremost, congrats to st Mirren. They deserve their place in the semi finals.
Some of the stuff on here because of one defeat is beyond me. For a start, no one has had a problem with SG bringing in the changes up until now. Infact most people have been buzzing about how strong the squad is, and saying it doesn't matter who plays, as we have two good players for every position. Now all of a sudden its ridiculous how many changes were made. Very confusing.
Next is the Alfie BS. People moaning about his play and lack of goals, week in, week out, then blame him for the defeat? Behave. Any starting 11 we put out tonight should have been more than enough to deal with St Mirren. Unfortunately in football it doesn't work like that all the time. I think deep down the players, like a lot of fans, felt the cup was already in the bag and we would stroll it.
Hopefully we dust ourselves off and get the focus back for Saturday. We have been unbelievable all season, don't let one game change that. C'mon the gers 💙.

I also agree you've got to give st. mirren credit as they played to their strengths and identified our main threat of stopping our full backs, particularly tav and nulliying the danger, which is a big part of our attacking play. Its then up to us to find other ways and answers and we didn't and that's why we're out of the Betfred league cup 😞Their manager got his tactics spot on. For st. mirren to have had a chance of causing an upset, they all had to play their best and some of our players had to have an off day, that's what happened 😞.

No excuses for tonight's performance and as fans we have every right to be disappointed but the run was always going to come to an end and I'm glad it was in a cup game and not the league. We have been nothing short of outstanding this season, domestically and in Europe, this is merely a blip and I'm hoping the players react and we show the right reaction on Saturday. What worries me personally, and this is just me is that after every bad performance last season, we continually said that, that's the kick up the arse they needed for the next game, however an improved performance never materialised. Now, I know last night was only one game, however, we can't let that happen this season. Be interesting to see how the team respond against Motherwell.

You blame Morelos when he is playing, stating he needs dropped, then you blame him when he isn't playing. can't have your cake and eat it.
It is clear to see that the team is stronger with Morelos in it, let's put it this way, i would be very worried about the league if Morelos was sold in January. However apparently you would believe we would be better off. if you watched the game last night, we were weak throughout but we had little hold up front. defenders weren't getting pulled out of position.
